We have stayed there before and staff was great and rooms clean. Only thing wrong was charging 5.00 to park your car. We were not told about the charge before we arrived. Please let people know ahead of time.. l think charge is wrong for people staying at your hotel.

There was limited area to walk the dog. During the day we could take her behind the hotel to the park but after dark there were homeless encampments that made me feel unsafe to walk her after dark. I probably will not stay in Phoenix again.

GREAT STAY!!
I definitely recommend this place. From the time I checked in to the time I checked out ther service I experienced was amazing!!! They were so kind and helpful!!!! The best suites I ever been too. Even tho. The area is skeptical it’s reflect the sonesta!!

The property was overall ok. We chose it because they took large dogs for an additional $75.00 for the week. We reserved the one bedroom suite it was nice for the additional space needed to accommodate our golden retrievers. The queen size bed was an adjustment for my husband and I since we are used to a King bed and we are plus size people. Behind the hotel was a beautiful very large green belt area (park) with paths and alot of green grass for the dogs to run ion and do their duties. We enjoyed walking our dogs out there everyday and evening. Overall after a weeks stay we would stay there again. We were just a little disappointed that they never cleaned our room once. We did ask for two more towels in exchange for our dirty ones which they did very quickly. The office staff was friendly so no complaints on that end!

Surprise Party
This was a trip to celebrate my wife's birthday, it was a surprise party. We needed to stay in a place that accepted pets and was close to our venue: Great Skate. This location is right off the frontage road. The check in was warm and inciting. Staff was very informative about the property and genuinely pleasant to interact with. Our fur babies and I felt welcome and safe with this location.

This property is great, HUGE well equipped suites, comfortable beds, but the neighborhood off the interstate is sketchy to say the least, lots of homeless and the "element" of guests checking in at night for a short stay leaves a lot to be desired. It's not the hotels fault, it's just what has become of America, but the property itself is great. So sad...

The room was clean enough, but beneath the sink, which wasn't visible, was pretty dirty. The staff was mostly nice, though there was one on duty who was a little grumpy. Overall, you get what you pay for, and we were mostly satisfied. The room is big, but we would've enjoyed one more chair so the two of us could eat at the table together. Love the small touches of dish soap and paper towels.

The property was not as clean as the photos, there were some broken cabinets, stains on the couch and rug, and obvious dirt/dings along the walls and doors. Obvious wear and tear, cabinet hinges broken, wood is warm around all the corners and edges, grime in corners. The AC is a small wall unit that was cut into the wall to add a vent in the bedroom, so the living room was freezing and the bedroom was warm. It was safe and easy to get places, easy parking, and the staff is very friendly.
There is a kitchenette, but there are no cooking utensils, just dining plates, bowls and cutlery.
This is definitely a two star property, no bells and whistles. We got a nightly rate, and for around $100 a night it was a good deal.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good sized room and equipped kitchen. Conveniently located right off of I-17.
The room and hotel need renovating. Very worn kitchen and bathroom cabinets and carpeting. They also need more housekeeping staff. The common area floors and elevator were stained and dirty, just needed cleaning. Carpeting was very worn and needed a deep cleaning too.

I have stayed here more than once because of the convenience and the amenities. Having a small stove, a microwave, a coffeemaker, a dishwasher, and even a disposal along with a full-size refrigerator makes a hotel room into more of a studio apartment. I will use again.

Would loved to have had a fresh breakfast or other fresh food option on site. The "store" they have on site is a bit pricey ($3.50 for a 16 oz Coke), but there were decent choices. For the price it was a great place to stay. The room was nice and I loved having a full size fridge and stove in the room.

Could definitely use some work. The outside doors rarely opened with the keycards. Had to keep walking around the property to find a door that would open or wait for someone to open it. At times couldn't get in the front door and nobody was at the front desk. Not sure i would stay at this location again

Facilities was good overall. Only issue was the homeless and shady individuals hanging around the area. The room didn't have a working vent in the bathroom which made the room very humid. The locks on the doors need fixed.

My stay was fine. The room was clean everything went well. The only complain I have. You have to pay a $ 5.00 fee a day to park in their lot. Which I don't know why you have to pay this. There is really nothing by this property. I just think that is a way for them to get an extra money for staying there. If they really need that parking fee just make the room fee $ 5.00 a night. Then you won't have people asking why ????

Don’t listen to the reviews, this hotel was horrible. Dirty hotel, no hand soap in the room, no hair dryer. Bed and pillow sheets were dirty it looked like they weren’t changed from the last person who stayed there. The halls has a bad smell as well as the rooms. The area is just bad & also they charged us for parking which we have never had to pay for at any other hotel. NEVER AGAIN

Phoenix pet friendly room
It was a very nice room . Easy access and a good place for the dog to take care of business. Everyone was super friendly and helpful . The property was well lit and safe. The amenities were good . The only thing that bothered me was the parking fee which I did not expect .

Nice place to stay.
I was a little skeptical when I read reviews but we decided to book for 3 days. Was 5 minutes from family. We have no complaints about our stay. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Spa was nice. The pool needed clean but to me is was still too cold to swim. I never felt unsafe sitting outside to have a smoke by myself. We would stay here again!

This property is older and it shows. Exterior of building is dirty, surrounding area is run down. Elevator and hallways smell. The staff wasn't friendly and rarely were they at the desk and available. My first and last Sonesta stay. They had to have re-branded from another hotel chain - they used stickers to cover the old brand. Disappointing to say the least. Plenty of other hotels for next time.

Way overpriced, glorified motel
Very drab hotel which felt more like an extended stay for local residents than a hotel for travelers. The price was surprising considering the overall cleanliness and lack of amenities. There is no lobby really, you have to be buzzed into the front desk, overall pretty dirty, and sketchy people outside. The noise from the highway woke us up several times too. Overall not worth the price and felt nervous for my car’s belongings outside.

Smelled like drugs. Run Down. Felt like a Prison.
This place had great reviews, so we tried it. It smelled like weed in the lobby and in our room. Had to be buzzed into the lobby and the store was locked so you needed an employee to let you in (bad signs). The door to our room had to be shoved to open it or pulled hard from the inside to get out.
The pet fee was $75. Insane that a place that smelled that bad would charge a pet fee.

The location was convenient to a restaurant that I am very fond of, Pappadeaux. The parking for handicapped is very close to the front door and the room was on the first floor and clean and well equipped with a full size refrigerator and two burner stove top, etc. However, the wifi service would disconnect immediately after connecting, the HVAC unit was loud and there was a broken recliner chair in the room.

There was no hair dryer or towels in our room when we got there. You have to go to front desk to get them. The bathtub looked like it was never cleaned out do to other people’s hair still in it.

Phoenix in February costs a bit more, we understand that. But this place needs to step up its game if charging that much per night. Fortunately for us we were only in the room 10 hours.

I would stay here again.
The suite was well set up with a separate bedroom and kitchen/ living room. It is spacious. There's a huge desk/kitchen table which was perfect for doing work. The A/C unit works well in the main room but the bedroom does get quite warm. There is tons of storage in the bedroom, living room and kitchen. The kitchen has a minimum of dishes but it does get the job done. There is a complimentary laundry area but you need to make a 2-hr block appointment which does fill up every day so book early. Only two of the 4 dryers worked. There is an exercise room that I did not use. A heated pool and gas grills are located outside. A park backs up to the property where you can go for a walk or take your dog but I wouldn't want to go there at night. There is a dog walking area on the property. Breakfast is not an option with the property but complimentary coffee is available all day long. The staff was very friendly.

This property was filthy and dilapidated! Ripped up curtain in some of the room windows, dark filthy lobby and smelly halls. We looked at a room and the bed looked like someone had taken a nap on it. Had to get buzzed in just to enter the lobby. Avoid this property at all cost!

Front Desk was helpful and friendly. I had a need arise for a late checkout, they accommodated me with no issues. The room was comfortable and the amenities as advertised. always a satisfying experience with Sonesta Suites properties.

Spacious room with plenty of storage space. Comfortable bed. Not too noisy even though the highway is right next door.
My one complaint is a weird one. The toilet is unlike any I have encountered. It is so shallow that upon sitting down to use it, a certain part of my male anatomy (which expedia is censoring) inevitably hits the bottom of the bowl. Not just a little, but like laying on the bottom of the bowl (more like a shallow dish). And I am of average size at best. This is more than a little concerning from a hygiene perspective.
