I stayed here to avoid driving back into the city after a local friends birthday party. Everything was pretty much great except for the shower. There was very little pressure and I love a lot of pressure pressure specially, having to wash my hair and I’m not sure who designed the shower but it’s not my liking in order to turn on the water you have to go into shiwer most likely you’re gonna get wet like I did

Outdated, but comfortable
Housekeeping does not come by unless you’re staying for 4 or more nights. The hotel is very outdated, but beds were very comfortable. Safe area.

Bathroom had rust and a damaged ceiling, the sheets had holes in them also the floor need a good shampoo. The staff was friendly thats a plus.

Great staff greeted us.
Nice rooms, we had two.
Surprised and disappointed there was only one elevator. We had my 90 yr old in-laws with us and our rooms were on the opposite side of the building, so it was a long walk around or a flight of stairs.

A let down
The ceiling was disgusting it was disintegrating on to the floor, there was no complimentary breakfast, it was $15, even for just a muffin, I don’t think some of the staff at the front desk were properly trained, the charge for the pet was $75, the most I paid at any of the 5 hotels that I had to stay. One last thing, they have a little store for in-house beverages and snacks that they didn’t bother to stock. Very flawed on many levels.

Didn’t enjoy my stay I am a Hilton honors member I was told by the front desk that she would be able to transfer my points to my account since I did it on a third party website also there was a HUGE centipede in my room we let her know she said she would compensate us with free breakfast which we weren’t able to get because they said they had no record of that I would honestly like a refund i enjoy my stays at the Hilton but not to much this time

For the reputation of Double Tree and the price I paid, I expected better. The bathroom flooded whenever you showered and the whole room ran out of hot water after one 15minute shower a day. Also the a/c was not working well resulting in the room being an uncomfortable temperature despite our efforts. The creamer in the room for coffee was rotten and curdled when each was opened in an attempt to caffeinate. The neighbors were blasting music until 3am and for some reason they seemed to have housed everyone on the hall they were doing (much needed) renovations on so it was messy with everything being taped off and workers coming and going.
All that being said the staff were lovely and I have defiantly had far worse experiences at other hotels. The moral is I was expecting much better and this facility failed to meet my expectations. I'm sure it will be decent whenever renovations are complete but I don't plan on ever finding out.

Nice quiet place to stay, but getting charged for what’s called a “continental breakfast” kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I paid 12.50 for what amounted to a bowl of cereal.

It is convenient as it is near my meetings and the company I was visiting. This is why it was suggested by my office mates. I did not like that they had not visited my room to clean up even once in my four days stay. That the whole place was smelling of chlorine which most probably they had just placed in the pool that in the center of the facility . That there was ongoing refurbishing in every other room . That the attendant did not advise the shorter route to my room and let me walk almost 2KM to get to my room. Just plane lack of interest to please their guests. What a pity .. anyways .. not sure I would like to go back here. Thanks

The property looks very old and it does not meet Hilton standards.. no room service till 8 am. No complimentary water bottles, broken refrigerator- cannot control the room temperature. Felt disappointed

Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was very polite and professional. She totally made you feel at home and comfortable from the start Then we proceeded to our room. This is by far the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed. In the past we have stayed at hotels that you feel uncomfortable to walk on the floors without shoes or to crawl in to bed before you inspect every corner not at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely return if I ever go back to Chicago.

Checked in Saturday showed service dog papers which is an invasion of 4th amendment etc etc but no problem came in late sunday afternoon assistant manager charged an incidental total 111.00 i ended up checking out.paid for 2 nights stayed for 1

Great price but pretty far from everything. Didn't realise that being the wrong side of the airport would be such a big deal. Travel into downtown is around an hour in travel.so think carefully before booking.

The property was clean. The indoor pool was open but it was freezing in the room itself. Very upsetting to promote an indoor pool that feels like youre outside. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice looking. The bathtub faucet was coming off and needed to be fixed. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was nice.

Over charged
The people at check-in happen to be really nice, but I got charged for two bottles of water that we didn't use. We left them sitting on the desk but Hilton still charged us and when I called them they didn't remove charges or even say sorry all the lady kept saying is there is nothing I can do, yes remove the charge. I suggest you get a front desk person with you when you are leaving to look at the room.

If you want to stay in a low-traffic area, this is your place. I found this place very easy to get in/out of, and parking was never a problem. There was NEVER a time my I or my group didn't feel safe here. However, with the ease of access, means there's nothing around you causing traffic, so you have no walkable food options. That was ok with me, because we had a group, and it was better to count our heads before moving to the next activities. The staff here was top-notch for sure. They couldn't have been friendlier, or more accommodating to the smallest of requests. Rooms were clean and quiet. You can tell this is an older hotel design in floorplan, but it doesn't feel dated. I will stay here again for sure.

The hotel is old, very very very old and dingy. It’s in between industrial businesses not a good area almost a maze to get to the hotel and there’s nothing near it. The carpet is so old like 1970s the wood is so old the hotel needs a make over. There’s so many stairs and each area has a separate entrance. It’s ghuetto. The bathroom is small the rooms are clean however smell like dirty carpet. The people next door where loud as hell all night. The pictures all outdated the hotel definitely does not look like pics. They charge for buffet and it’s not good and it’s over priced as any hotel save your money and go with a hotel with breakfast included for the quality of the food.

The hotel doesnt offer much. Some cheap motels offer more for half the price. 16$ breakfast was way overpriced. Not free internet unless youre Hilton honors member. You can do better elsewhere.

The overall property was very clean and safe, the room was very comfortable, very clean, the bed was awesome. Only had a couple minor issues not something to Completely downgrade the stay.
1. The shower was a walk in shower and handicap accessible and the lip on the shower did not not block the water from coming out of the shower so every time you took a shower the entire bathroom floor flooded. We did tell the front desk and they brought us an abundance of towels to roll up and put on the floor so problem solved.
2. There is no cleaning service why you stay there so if you want your room cleaned you have to ask so therefore the garbage never got emptied and we ended up having to put our garbage outside our room, And there was no extra little garbage bags so I found that kind of annoying.
3. The door jam to the bathroom and living area was gone so therefore there are little carpet tacks
sticking up from the carpet which we stepped on all the time, just put a couple of towels over rhe arwa, solved again.
3. Also we did not feel that the heating/air conditioning unit worked properly we had to keep the fan on the fan on it couldn't get it cold enough or warm enough and since the weather changed from hot to cold one day it was kind of annoying but it wasn't like we were uncomfortable in the room. We weren't in that room enough for me to complain about it just at night it got a little stuffy. What overall we had a great day and I would definitely stay there again..

Weekend overnight stay.
Nice room. Quiet and the bed was comfy. Loved the setup as the bathroom separate d the sleeping area from the additional TV/work area. Good water pressure and temp for the shower, which is a major plus for us. Will stay here again!

Was looking for 4 or 5 star hotels in area for a quick stop on business. Found this one and was happy with the stay. Easy parking all around the building, not much near except businesses so pretty quiet area. Lobby was really nice and I bet conference rooms/meeting rooms were very nice as well. Front desk service was great, that old school 4-5 star type customer interaction. Even got a free cookie! Very clean hotel, walk to room was no issue. Room was pretty standard for the most part, but minor upgraded details made it feel a bit more modern. Good size TV, nice desk, refrigerator and microwave a nice touch. Big comfy bed, black out curtains, very clean. Thermostat controlled unit which was surprisingly quiet. Some food options within a couple miles, but mostly a business park type setting. Happy with the stay! Probably more specific to business meetings and conferences than the general traveler, but pleasant stay nonetheless.

Stayed one night at this hotel. The staff was excellent, very personable and helpful. Parking is included and their lot was plentiful. I utilized the app and since I booked thru a third party I couldn’t use the online check in and had to stop at the front desk. It took time to get the digital key on the app working so I received a room card. Because of this I again couldn’t use the online check out and had to stop at the front desk to drop off the key. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The cleanliness wasn’t top notch but acceptable. Overall I would recommend.

Very comfortable
Very comfortable and quiet room. Switched to this hotel from another where we couldn't sleep and this hotel delivered.
The only glitch is they only have lavender shampoo in the rooms and betweem 3% and 5% of the population is allergic to that. It would be wise to keep some alternate shampoo available at the desk or in vending.

Wonderful stay!
What a wonderful stay! Excellent front desk service. Quick and friendly. Luke in the evening was so kind and personable upon our check-in. In the morning, I wanted to go for a swim. I didn't catch the lady's name at the front desk, but she was very helpful in reserving an hour at the pool. Great Covid-19 precautions.
Hotel is in quite location and there is ample parking. Not much in the area, but the hotel does have a little convenience shop with drinks and snacks to purchase. Hotel had a little wear and tear (bathroom tiles and curtains), but I'd stay again!

Pool was nice and big! Glad that they regulated only 10 ppl at a time and had to sign up and go get a different key. We enjoyed our suite being that we were a family of 5, it was nice to have that seating area with sofa and 2nd tv.

My time at the Double Tree was relaxing. It was quiet, clean, and the staff were polite. I like that they allow you to reserve pool time, instead of having it completely shut down. Our room was spacious and I loved the view of the pond at night.

Cookies are amazing at check in, but certain workers you have to remind that it's included, last stay was no problem, this time i had to ask for the cookies then when i asked for a bag that usually has the pre bagged water waiting for cookies, she handed me a folded paper bag. I'm like can i get the water too or..... She switched up which like "ohhh yeah sure "

Staff was very nice, we were there to use the pool and get out of the house for the weekend. We were in a Jr Suite which was very spacious and overlooked a patio area where the kids enjoyed some outdoor time. This is my second time visiting this Doubletree and I would come here again.

A Disappointing Stay...
The staff at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. The property itself is in desperate need of repairs, remodeling and a deep cleaning. The elevator is extremely worn in appearance with filthy carpeting. The room was in similar poor condition. This was very surprising to me, especially during this Covid pandemic.

Ultra clean and comfortable.
Although a little understaffed, probably due to the weather, the quality of this property was superior. I recommend it as it was one of the cleanest hotels I have encountered in the past several years.
