First off pool wasn’t working rather heaters wasn’t, we weeee told we could still use it being 30 outside wasn’t gonna happen. It was murky and were fluids with hair floating on top of pool so that was an extra no. Room had food pieces under bed room apparently wasn’t vacuumed, ac unit made vibration noises all night, and smells so we checked air filter and that’s why looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a year. Bathroom was ok sink faucet you couldn’t barely turn on. And on top of that we had a pet and non refundable $50 deposit I assure you my dog was cleaner than the previous people who have stayed in that room. Breakfast attendant was amazing, cheerful and did a great job. Breakfast food was pretty good. All in all $170 for a night in a king bed room for the level of quality not worth it all. Next time we will keep driving and stay in another city.

My friend and I always take a short trip together for our birthdays each year. What a gem we found here at the Fairfield Inn, in Ottowa. Such friendly gals at the front desk! We got a warm greeting every time we entered or left the hotel! The breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast, but the ladies who take care of that area were beyond friendly and always cleaning up the tables and making sure all was in order. The manager, Rachel, was super friendly & helpful giving us lots of dinner and activity recommendations. We enjoyed the interactions with everyone and felt very much at home there. Easy check in and check out. We received an upgrade to a suite since we were celebrating our birthdays. We loved having the extra space to relax and have a glass of wine after a day of shopping. They even had cookies set out one evening and bottled water at the front desk for us to take with us when we left each day. Good old fashioned hospitality and a great place to stay!

The staff was very kind, friendly and service was quick. Kathy who served the breakfast was so very nice, conversation was polite and very friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and decorated nicely for Christmas!! We will definitely stay here again

The staff were helpful and very pleasant, and the breakfast was generous. The cleanliness was top notch. The room was smaller than the photos indicated, and the mattresses were too soft, which made it difficult to get out of bed without falling. The bathroom could use a fan and more hooks.

The staff were all friendly and no one seemed like they were from other countries so very easy to understand and speak with. The decor and carpets seemed like they had been replaced since we last stayed there in July 2017. Our experience was so good that time (except for constant key issues) that we decided to try it again and were very pleased! 2 issues in the room were the closet door was off the track so hard to open and close and there was an unknown pinkish stain on the inside of the shower curtain at the side closest to the faucet. These were reported upon checkout. Hoping to try other Fairfield Inns next time we travel.

The hotel was super clean, welcoming and comfortable. Gina at the front desk was awesome! She gave us great tips on restaurants, attractions and just getting around Ottowa. The room was perfect and the bed was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in, even the shower was top notch! Ottawa is a quaint and friendly small town and this hotel is the best option for a visit!

We stayed three days and nights. They did not change the towels during that time or empty the trashcans. There are no hold bar in the tub on the opposite end from the shower head for people to step in or out of the tub. No small bar of soap for the wash basin. Could barely read the print on the shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached on the shower wall. bathroom are not vented.

I am not sure there was anything unique....I did enjoy the view from room 227, looking over a field vs at a building wall next door. It was clean, convenient, and served our needs very well. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the staff was very friendly each time we encountered them.

Got off to a rocky start with internet TV not working in our room. They were able to get this back on by lunch the next day. The only negative thing I would have to say was the breakfast buffet was more of a continental breakfast vs a hot breakfast as advertised. All in all, pleased with my stay

The staff is excellent! Housekeeping needs improvement....my first room was dirty. The tub had lots of hair, soap scum, and hair on the floor. One of the beds had hair on the sheets. The room had not been dusted in a while. The front desk clerk immediately changed my room. The hotel would get a perfect rating if not for the first dirty room.

HUGE DOWNER!!! I booked here specifically to do an overnight getaway with a pool and jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was CLOSED, pool was tiny and only 4ft deep. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We had a short and good stay here. Everything was nice and clean, staff was wonderful, overall we had a great stay. There would only be 2 little personal complaints , if I can say it this way. 1 - the bathtub was not cleaned properly, I suppose that it was just forgotten ,because everything else was nice and clean. And 2- the big pool water was pretty cold, I think just 2-3 degrees higher the temperature would have been great. Breakfast was good and also pretty variate

We stayed for 3 nts in RM 221. It is a executive suite with a separate living RM. Very nice. King bed. Great shower with plenty of hot water pressure. Breakfast was outstanding. Hot/cold eggs, waffle, fruit etc. Staff was very welcoming. Located right off of Interstate 80. No traffic noise. Lots of food choices. 30 minutes from Starved Rock State Park. Big thumb up.

Everything was very nice except our view was of the back of the concrete awning. We were directly above the front desk. It was incredibly easy to hear everyones conversation both below and next to us. As a result, it was difficult to sleep because the guests in the room next to ours were up very late w loud music playing the first night of our stay and on the second night they were fighting at 4 am. We were visiting on a weekend and the full hot breakfast that was advertised ended up being yogurt, granola bars, cold cereal, and muffins.

While I absolutely understand the need to have a different process due to COVID-19, the ‘breakfast’ that was included was little more than access to some yogurts and cereal. This should have been made clearer upfront and ai might have just planned to go out for breakfast.

Loved the layout of our room, with the bathroom separated from the sleeping area by a small sitting room. Huge tvs in sleeping and in sitting areas. The only negatives were the people stomping around in the room above us (if you're a light sleeper, request a room on the top floor) and that the complimentary hot breakfast consisted of a microwavable breakfast sandwich. We've stayed at other hotels, during Covid, that had actual hot breakfasts but with people serving you to avoid contact with the food by multiple people...that's a much better effort than was offered here.

Right off of I-80. Plenty of places to eat or buy necessities. Starved Rock State Park nearby.
Hotel room has anything and everything I could think of. Cleanliness is immaculate. Adherence to COVID-19 guidelines followed. Breakfast limited in choices due to COVID-19 restrictions. I prefer the limited choices due to the staff following COVID-19 guidelines and common sense. It is much preferable than more choices and a chance of contamination.
The one thing that would be on the negative side is that there may be small children running up and down the hallway. This would be expected being so close to a dazzling State Park. If you are a parent with small children you should be grateful that you are not uncommon. Although, if you want to crash and sleep early evening you might want to bring earplugs.
