Watch your credit card
The hotel itself was fine, but I was not happy when the credit card I provided was ran for $50 then another charge for $12.31 within an hour of checking in and we hadn’t used a thing!! Still trying to get that handled!😡Oh there was an issue with a bag of garbage sitting in the hallway all the time we were there.

The staff was very friendly, rooms are cozy, smoke smell is a bit strong, but, the staff gave us air fresheners. Everything is close by, but, the traffic is CRAZY!!!!! I would DEFINITELY CHOOSE CANDLEWOOD SUITES as a place to STAY.

Easy to check in - very friendly staff- beds were comfortable- requested a king size bed or two queens but only one queen available and it was fine. Bathrooms were very clean. Really liked the sound machine that was in the room. Helps to block out any noise so my dog doesn’t bark - keeps her nice and calm. Thinking about buying one for us.

Convenient to task at hand. On arrival, room assigned was not ready due to no bedding on mattress; had to go back to desk to get another room.
After my one night stay, one elevator out of service and other had no working lights, so walked down four flights of stairs.

Lots of construction going on around the property. Fire alarm went off at 11:30 PM. No mirror in bathroom. Had an odd vibe. Hotel is mostly cut off from the other businesses in area due to road layouts and traffic volume. Can't walk anywhere safely from this location.

Gone downhill...
We have always searched for candlewood when we traveled as we loved these hotels. As of late, not so much, to the point we probably won't stay at another. When we went to go in our room the door would not work. We had to get a different room, and the only king room they had was a smoking room. We do not like all of our belongings smelling like smoke, but I wasn't paying for something I'm not getting, so I agreed. The room reeked, had stains all over the floors, chairs, and couch. The toilet seat was basically falling off, to the point you had to be very careful or you would end up on the floor using the restroom. Then in the morning we discovered the coffee pot did not work either. We couldn't even notify anyone upon checkout as your to just leave your room key in a box on the desk and there was no one there when we left. My fiance was furious and I was also upset, as these hotels used to be very luxurious and comfortable. Like a little home away from home. Anymore they have become a "what will be wrong this time." We've stayed at others last year that we additionally had issues

I liked the help I received by front desk specially a person named Newton. There was an issue with my booking where I booked Twin bed however it was available. Unsure if the issue was with Expedia or Hotel. Nonetheless, we didn't have twin bed on first night and one person from our group has to sleep on floor.
Front desk helped us to move into a different room with two beds next day. Other than that everything else was fine.

Booked a room with two beds. Said they didn’t have two beds when we arrived and couldn’t get one. Walked into the room with a damp carpet and the strong smell of mold and mildew. Main light in the room can’t be turned off because the light switch it broken. Had to duct tape it to get it to stay off. Desk light is broken. Bathroom door doesn’t latch and the lock is also broken. Told me they couldn’t give me a discount or any type of refund because I booked through Expedia.

Amuzingly enough, we were put in the same room as we last spent time in. This time there was no smell from the garbage disposal and it was clear when turned on. Additionally, the missing flatwear and dishes had been replaced, and the dishes were clean and put away before we checked in. Seems like some things are definately recovering as the company returns from covid.

The facility smelled like cigarette smoke through out the entire hotel. It smelled like mildew and people were hanging out through the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to no one. This hotel needs to be renovated with an entire overhaul.

Tough Access
Very difficult to get in and out if you are coming from or trying to go the opposite of the road (U-Turns involved) and the road is very busy during the daytime hours. TV was in poor working condition and the AC was kind of wonky in controlling the room temp. Other choices nearby and will probably choose a more convenient one next time. There was also a mixup on the length of our stay - so our cards were deactivated when we returned the next evening.

We were told that the system was down for third party reservations so we waited nearly an hour for the receptionist to be on the phone with someone while they walk them through on how to process the reservation. The people ahead of us waited even longer. We were told that they would make it up to us but never said how and of course nothing was done.

Double Charged
Paid for the hotel on the hotels.com app. When checking in they took my credit card for incidentals and also charged it for the room. Have called 4-5 times and spoken with several people. They all told me it would be refunded and put back on my credit card. 2 months later, still not refunded back.

Cons: We have stayed before Covid. Everyone is dealing with shortages, cutting corners where they can. We checked in at 8 pm, the dishwasher was running with pots and dishes faced up and full of dirty water. The room smelled foul. The disposal was full of shrimp and a broken safty pin. We are both allergic to shrimp, and the safty pin, while not the fault of the staff, was a dangerous thing as well. We removed the safty pin and the shrimp tails to the trash, ran the disposal and the smell disapated. We checked in with 3 people as marked in our reservation. A double room should have 4 of each plates, bowls, cups, mugs, forks, knives, spoons. This room had four large plates and two small, 4 mugs, 2 water glasses and 2 juice glasses, 3 table knives and 2 forks, 1 bowl and 0 spoons.
Ok we really only planned on eatting breakfast here, but with one bowl and no spoons cereal was out and the forks had to be washed after someone finished eating so the third person in our reservation could eat.
The staff was pleasant and safety concerned. At several points one of our key cards would stop working. My husband went to the front desk to fix the card. Staff asked about me and where I was, as it was my name was on the reservation. They did let him into the room, however caught me later to ask if I knew him and if they had done the right thing letting him in. Yes we would stay again, bring own dishes, hope house keeping adds run disposal back to their list

The place is adequate for what it is. Kitchen is functional. It's older and it shows. I think there's some Section 8 residents but they don't bother.
Noise. You have Rt 1 on one side and I-95 on the other. Massive truck traffic all hours.

HIGHLY RECOMEMDED
The room was amazing! Huge comfortable bed. Very clean and very nicely decorated. We rented a suite which was twice as much room as we could even use. It was like being at home in our own apartment. A full size fridge, a stove and microwave equipped with plates, silverware, and cookwear. A sitting room with a large television. This room would be perfect for any business trips or just a vacation with parents bringing there children.

When I went to check in I was told they overbooked and it didn’t have a room. Then the manager said she could give me a different room but it was smoking, my registration was for nonsmoking. Then she looked at her computer and saw three other guests had not checked in yet and said I could have one of those rooms. I took it. When we went to go into the room it was still being occupied. This whole process took an hour. It was now after 10 pm and I had to drive further and find my own hotel. This is the third time I’ve had problems with Travelocity. I’m done.

There was mold on the shower curtain, the carpet was dirty, the room had a marijuana smell to it and the fire alarm in the hotel went off at 2:30 am for no reason. I will never stay here again.

Issues for others; none for us
We wanted somewhere quiet where we could just be alone. Candlewood was perfect. Literally right off 95 (on the southbound side) I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. Our room was on the 95 side. A few times I heard a door slam, but it was less than I would expect. Dunkin’ Donuts, KFC, and a few other places within walking distance. Although you will have to walk on the roadside for a few feet. Cabinets not well stocked with dishes and a few of the cooking dishes were not well cleaned. Otherwise everything was clean and looked relatively new. They have items to borrow, we did not so I didn’t really look.
Internet was wonky (we were at the end of the hall).
When we checked in there was an issue with one of the rooms and the person checking in the customer seemed not to know what to do. The manager was either not on the premises or not able to help. There were several times I went to the front desk and no one was there. There was a note pad to write down issues so they could check back with you. I never had a issue that big. I overheard some complaints: non working toilets and heat. Our room had none of these issues.
When going south on Patriot hwy you have to drive North and make a u-turn a few blocks away.
Knowing what times are right now I’m willing to try them again.

The hotel is located conveniently off the interstate. The room was very nice especially with the kitchen amenities. Pet friendly. The only issue was the bodega was not completely stocked with food to purchase. The coffee area had several empty boxes of tea and the coffee machine is old and the coffee is not fresh. Other than that a very nice place to stay at during your travels.

Smelled like dog urine
The hotel charged $50 for our pet. It was late when we arrived and our reservation was the last one for the night, according to the clerk(who was very friendly). However, the room smelled like dog pee and dirty socks. It was the last room available and it was around midnight when we checked in, so A.) another room was not an option and B.) another hotel was not an option either. We had driven 14 hrs and just wanted to rest. Needless to say, we turned on the ac (it was 40 degrees outside) and set it to 65 so we could keep it on and get fresh air. We would have opened a window, but they didn't open. We crashed for about 5 hrs and left. It makes me mad that they let someone's dog smell up the room and not clean it. They sure take your $50 for your pet, but don't take that $ to clean up after their mess. Would never stay there again unless I go smell the room first. :(

Staff was angry and rude and was yelling at other staff on the phone and over the counter with them, when we got there, and continued to do so as we waited. Then gave us keys, after some time, to a room where someone else was staying. We came down, to be rudely told to wait again as she was on the phone still upset, and saying she's had it with this aweful place and had to go outside, that some guy would come take over for her shift. We finally received keys to a room.

I booked a non smoking room. Just before I arrived I received a call telling me the only room available was a smoking room. It was 11 pm and I had been driving for hours. I took the room. What a mistake. It stunk worse than I could have imagined. I got a terrible nights sleep and would never to that again

The room was not necessarily "dirty" but it was not the cleanest neither. Especially given this time during COVID. I always carry Lysol wipes with me and clean hotel rooms before we use them. The bathtub was the dirtiest. The wipe was a brown color with hair on it when I was done. It too 3 wipes to get it clean enough to us to use. The night stand was dirty also. The bathroom door was sticky, so we just stuck to using the door handle that I had sanitized. Just felt like this room could have used a deep clean. It is next to 95 so you are going to hear some noise but it was not excessive. Check in process was easy. Staff was friendly.

this property had no drinks not even water to provide to guests. The first night I was there the police and SWAT showed up. I did not feel safe. I only stayed because I was with someone otherwise I would have left. Would never stay there alone. Guests were rude and distasteful.

Despite our booking for a nonsmoking room, the hotel assigned us a smoking room.
Eventually, the reception refused to give us the room, claiming they didn't receive the booking from Expedia and cannot process the credit card. I showed them my Expedia reservation, and the amount deducted from my bank account. They said: "you didn't book the room through us. You booked through a third party. This is your problem. we can't give you the room". Shocking, never had such a problem with Expedia! The customer service was terrible. The hotel's lobby smelled weed all over.
We ended up getting another hotel nearby, lower price, better quality.

I was charged by Orbitz . Then the hotel told me it was a 20$ incidental but I was charged 146$ . Then they told me I still had a balance of 126$ when I checked out . No manager there . I couldn’t even get a print out of a receipt because the printer was down . So I asked to email me one . He emailed but there were no prices or charges on the PDF . Ridiculous!!!

I would never stay here again!!! I had to call the front desk because the noise from the room above me went on ALL NIGHT!!! It sounded like they were remodeling the room…or building something! At 2:30 in the morning, the second time I had to call, it stopped eventually. I was so mad I got up and left at 5 a.m.

The reception staff aren’t present at the reception most of the time .. took me more than 30 min to have someone check me in and almost lost an impersonator errand .. the lady receptionist was welcoming and courteous but she is overworking taking care of maintainance as well !! Although booked for non smoking room was pushed to get a smoking room although I had two kids with me and I’m not a smoker!! Found cigarettes ashes in the night stand next to the main bed.. the room had a very strong cigarette smoke smell.. had a noisy neighbor locked out all night knocking on his gril friend to let him in !! My kids weren’t able to sleep well.. night reception barely reacted to this ! If you have choices don’t make this hotel one
