Do not stay here. The room was not clean; there were hair all over the bathroom and coffee cups had coffee spots on them.
The water was turned off in our room for the morning we were leaving. When I called the front desk, they rudely told me to just use the gym's locker room.

Beds are hard as a rock
Stay away from the coffee service. It’s not only overpriced which is expected but it’s terrible. Starbucks should consider taking their name away

Would definitely stay again!
The hotel was great, the staff was friendly, location is wonderful. Food, meh. Very expensive, not good (breakfast), they fill up your coffee cups and then charge you $5 a cup, even when you didn’t ask for or drink coffee.
I would definitely stay again, just not partake in the restaurant feature of the hotel. Everything else was great!

Great Chicago visit
Excellent hotel and great location. staff are very helpful and friendly. Particular shout out to Sam in the fitness center. He remembers everyone's names and is just fun!
It would be an even better hotel if they had a pool and/or hot tub.

Everyone was friendly, specially Juan the bartender. Only complaint are the beds, they are so uncomfortable, it gave me back pain, same for my husband. Also I stayed in a deluxe king bed, the lighting is not good and mirrors are super high if you want to sit and do your makeup there’s some room for improvement there.

Situated right on the Chicago river, this place wonderful. A short walk to the theater district and shopping. The staff was wonderful. Pay for a room with a view of the river, its beautiful.

This hotel was five star quality. The rooms were spacious and well shut up and were extremely comfortable. The staff and service were excellent. They met our every need and we’re very willing to help in any way they could during our stay. I would highly recommend the Westin river north to anyone visiting Chicago.

Very hard to find hotel with gps. Was driving around for an hr trying to find the valet parking. Then from then on smoothie sailing. Beautiful hotel. Bed was the most comfortable ever. Clean and great shower bathroom was so nice.

This hotel is nice enough, but nothing special. At this price point, I expect more! No turn down service, safe so low to ground, it was unavailable to me. The curtains were pull closing and behind a large chaise lounge.

Just ok, we won’t be back
The room/hotel was clean. We had a dark room because of the position of our room/ window with the height of the other buildings around us so we had to always have the lights on. They gave us two bath towels, one for each of us. My boyfriend showered a couple of times to get the “city grit” off him, and had to use the same towel each time. It seemed like too much trouble to ask them to send up more towels for such a short stay, so we made due. The “fridge” in the room wasn’t a fridge at all. It was a “cooling unit”. Not really sure the purpose of it because it’s designed not to go below 47 degrees which is warmer than a typical fridge. The sign said if we wanted it colder, contact the front desk. We went to dinner and had leftovers so we stopped at the front desk on the way up and asked to have it turned down. He said it can’t be turned down but called maintenance to see if they had any extra fridges. They did not. So we had to get ice and put that in the fridge over a hand towel and closed the door which worked fine but still not sure of the point of a “ cooling unit”. Even pop or water wouldn’t get as cold as you’d like it so why have the stupid thing at all. If you’re trying to be eco friendly, then just remove the fridge entirely. 47 degrees isn’t very cold so why have it. The experience was just ok. We won’t be back.

Loved the view and location of our room. Also, the bedding was very comfortable. The only issue we had was the fact that the price of the room was pretty high but then on top of the price they charged a daily “destination fee.” When I asked what that was for they informed me that anyone who stays there pays this fee. It wasn’t about the $20.00, it just that we already paid a high price with various fees, so instead of charging this ridiculous fee just add it to the price of your stay so your guests don’t feel like they are being taken advantage of with all the side fees.

I think that the view was phenomenal. And the room was quite comfortable. However, for the money, I think a few more services would be appropriate. A discount on parking perhaps. Parking prices in Chicago are outrageous. I had to walk 2 blocks to the hotel from the parking garage. It was freezing and with luggage, it wasn't easy. Not a good look for a high priced hotel.

Perfect location to go to House of Blues
Come to Chicago for an overnight stay to attend a private party at the House of Blues. The location was excellent, and the Westin has the vibe I like in a hotel: clean and upscale.
The mirrored surface in the bathroom was coming away from the glass on the edges, but otherwise, the room was in very good condition.

Great room, marginal food/bar service
The room itself was extremely nice and spacious. Very clean and very updated as well. Front desk staff was helpful but overwhelmed due to the Chicago Marathon being in town that weekend. The real disappointment was the breakfast/bar area. Waiting to get a seat took five minutes before a hostess showed up and set us. It took 15 minutes after that to get served drinks. The food on the buffet itself was tasty, but it was only lukewarm to cool. The other time we went, we waited so long for a hostess to show up we finally decided to seat ourselves. After 20 minutes nobody had showed up to our table to ask us if we wanted anything, so we had to walk up to the bar and serve ourselves from the bartender.

Amazing staff. Concierge person was amazing., he also is the bag check person and couldn't have been nicer or friendlier.
The staff was very friendly. Short but great stay. We will definitely come back.

The sheets on the beds have marks of lipstick and other marks. Ac didn’t worked properly for entire night and at 4:30 am electrician came and reduce for some time the AC worked .Later it went to 70. Front end and and other stuff is good

Great hotel and great experience! Although there was not enough valet parking for my taller SUV, doorman was most helpful in directing me to a self-park option a block away (and it was cheaper than the hotel's overnight rate). Room was super clean and updated. The location is great if you plan to do anything related to the Riverwalk or Michigan Avenue.

Great location. We flew in for Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our 12 anniversary and was not disappointed. The hotel was close to the train so no need for a car from the airport. Central location to all the must see spots when visiting Chicago. Would recommend to anyone planning on visiting the area.

Great stay!
The Westin was a great place to stay. The location was great - we were able to walk to restaurants and Millenium Park and easily take public transit to the museums. Our room was clean, had a great view, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and quickly brought up an extra sheet and blanket when we asked. The bar made great drinks and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast as well. We’d definitely stay again.

Terrific location -- walk to bars and restaurants. Easy access to hotel from airport via cta (but don't take train back to airport....it was so delayed that i missed my flight). The advertised mini fridge wasn't in the room; I had to request one.

Overall we were VERY happy with the stay! Highly recommend getting a city view room. The room was exactly what we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the restaurant had delicious food. The only turn off for us was that twice, once an hour after check in and once three hours before checkout, housekeeping knocked and then immediately keyed in without waiting for a response. Wasn’t thrilled about that. But overall loved the stay and would book again.

The Best 3 Night Stay

We returned to the Westin for one night prior to leaving town. We had spent the weekend before there. We had left an item that the promptly found and returned to us when we arrived.
Front desk and luggage staff is great. Hostess was good. Bartender was fabulous.
Can’t beat the location of this hotel. We were able to walk to Mag Mile, Chicago Theater, Art Institute and L stop.

Location is PERFECT. But we were given rooms at the second floor which is a mistake for guests staying for 5 nights. Every morning at 6 there was a terrible pipe noise that they did not know about....Rooms were not cleaned every day because of...COVID. Nothing replenished until we call..No soap, no water....Acceptable in a Motel 6 , not at Westin CHINO.

Excellent location, many rooms with great views of the river. Good rooms with comfortable beds and linen. Very clean and great working conditions on bathrooms. Overall the location of the hotel is first class, you can literally walk down to the river and to great restaurants and bars. You can also comfortably walk the downtown from this hotel. The only thing I wished it had is a swimming pool, which it didn't. The rest is all ***** five stars :-)

The hotel was right on the Chicago river with great views if you have a river view room. Very convenient to downtown sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. Harry Caray's steak house is across the street and was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and professional. This is a great place to stay for a Chicago getaway!

I paid additional for parking during my stay. Facility doesn’t have onsite parking. I had to park the car a block away from the hotel and my son uses a wheelchair. It was very difficult for me. I asked if someone could take my car to the parking lot but they couldn’t help me. Horrible experience I was not notified of the parking inconvenience.
