My only disappointment was how far I had to walk to get an area for the dog to do his business. Since I arrived when it was dark it was another dog owner who told me where to go. It was a lovely area just far from the facility.

Going home!
Back again! Stayed at La Quinta in Florence SC on my way to Sarasota Fl. Returning home now, staying at La Quinta again! It is conveniently located, right off 95. Comfortable, clean rooms, great mattress and breakfast included!

It’s One and Done fir me.
These rooms need an update. Room was dusty and when I turned on the heat I could barely breath. The door looked like it had been knocked down a few times. Front desk was polit, location was good and breakfast was nice

Heading South!
Stopped in Florence on my way to Sarasota. La Quinta was a great place to spend the night. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I used the gym facilities, which need a little TLC and maintenance...some of the equipment was not working, no water in the cooler. I would come back here!

Agent at front desk was efficient and friendly. Room clean. Bathroom shower could use updating. Pet relief area is large but is the back of the property and across a parking lot. That’s not a huge deal except for those trips at night

Absolutely awful
Bed comforter and bed sheets were dirty, stained and awful. Didn’t sleep with them. Thanks god that I brought my own blanket. The couch cushions were stained, didn’t sit on it. Plus the room wasn’t smelling to good!

Not very clean but ok for one night
My husband and I stayed for one night to take a break from driving. We arrived late but the front desk worker was nice and took care of us quickly. The bed was comfy and seemed clean but the rest of the room was not. There was dust and human hair in the bathroom and dust/dirt on the nightstands. The cleaning could definitely be improved but luckily we were only there for one night and we were too tired to make a fuss about it. Overall, it was ok for one short quick night.

Always a good place to stop when passing through. Very dog friendly property. Dog area in the back of hotel. Good idea to bring your own poop bags as they being supplied is hit or miss. Overall a good stop with no suprises that diminish the stop. Plusses off property able lots of eatery’s and gas stations

Our stay was just ok. The biggest problem was the heating system that did not work. It was noisy all night. The other issue was terrible pillows, they were hard and uncomfortable.

We usually stay at this hotel about 4 times a year when traveling home because Florence is a good stopping point. When we first started staying here it was really nice and clean but that’s been changing over the last couple of times we’ve stayed here. The floors in the rooms are hardly ever mopped. I spilled something and used a wet wipe to clean it up and the floor was black with filth. Just stayed here Jan. 3rd and there’s a layer of dust on everything and there was a roach in the bathroom. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is alright.

Mustly was good, but two things, the rooms have too much light, you are not able to close the curtains and second the lady at the breakfast area is not friendly at all and had an attitude, the guy at the front desk was nice.

the hotel was quite shabby and a little more run down than I expected. the rooms aren’t soundproofed and could hear doors and people coming and going all night. the continental breakfast was not good. but the $10 pet fee is nice.

We travel with dogs and there were a lot of dogs on the property. Kudos to your team, it did not smell like dogs at all and we never heard any barking from other rooms! Great job.

A bit disappointed in our stay this time. The room wasn’t as clean as the last time and it showed quite a bit of wear and tear.

My experience with this property, booked through Expedia, was far from satisfactory. Despite reviews suggesting an 8.2 rating, the actual conditions were disappointing. The bedding was unclean, with noticeable hair and stains, while the sheets emitted an unpleasant odor. Almost everything, including the metal chair, was coated with a sticky residue reminiscent of sugar dirt. Only third bathroom towel was clean, I chose to take a nap and swiftly hit the road, bypassing any prolonged stay at this unsanitary establishment.

Stayed in room 306. Checked in around midnight on the 27th due to traveling all day. The hotel room floor was sticky and the shower curtain was missing. Beds were nice and clean and the bathroom overall was well stocked. Other than the two issues it was an average stay.

Brian was very helpful checking us in. Hotel satisfied our needs and was affordable. I want to add that Brian did an amazing job handling an extremely rude customer the day after Christmas when emotions can sometimes be high, but Brian stayed calm and respectful, even when they weren’t. Great service

Not as nice as it used to be
Location is great, right off highway. Bed is comfortable and hot breakfast items are available. On the other hand, in-room coffee maker didn’t work, bedside lamp chargers on one side inoperative, and the rest room on main floor was beyond filthy. I don’t think we’ll be going back.

Just my opinion
The location is excellent in relation to I-95. We stayed in a suite which was HUGH!! The bed was comfortable, the shower worked fine with hot water. There's wear and tear on the furnishings but all were still comfortable. I would have no objections to staying here in future visits to this area.

At check in, there was a woman changing rooms, her's was dirty. So first thing I did was check my room, the bed sheets & pillow cases were not changed! They pulled the bedspread up like it was! When I went to the front desk to change rooms, there was ANOTHER person there getting clean sheets to go change her bedding!! Her's were not change either. They had no more rooms, only double beds, (thank goodness) so we left. The most disturbing thing was this, THE FRONT DESK CLERK WAS NOT SURPRISED ONE TINY BIT!!! SHE DIDN'T ARGUE OR ANYTHING, IT MUST BE A COMMON THING. HOW DISGUSTING?!?!

This is a good place to stay, however, cleanliness is not a priority at this place. I cannot emphasize how dirty the bathroom was. You can tell nothing had been cleaned from the shower walls to the tub to the soap dispensers, etc. It was not pleasant. We actually left a day early because how dirty this room was. The sad thing about this was the fact that there were staff on floors turning rooms around, but I think that was only making the beds and supplying towels because they are not cleaning the rooms. This is why I bring my own cleaning supplies when I travel. So sad because this is a good place to stay.

We drove with the children from New York to Florida. And we decided to stay there for the night. I looked for hotels that were just clean, I read reviews. There were good reviews here. But I was very disappointed. Sorry I didn't take a photo. There were other people's hairs in the bathroom, on the drain, there were a lot of them. There was also dust all over the room and a few hairs were in the bed, also the top of the bedspread was dirty in places, I don't mean stains, just as if someone had stepped on, leaving small mark in 2 places. I'm very disappointed. Although the staff were all very kind!

Needs some major tlc
Brian at the front desk was great- However the first room I got had not been cleaned whatsoever. He immediately found another room and was very accommodating and apologetic. The second room was fine for the one night i stayed, but the tile floor was filthy, bedspread cleaned but stained, various places on ceiling, walls and doors had been poorly repaired or patched over. Only one elevator was working and the floor all sticky. Had it not been for Brian, this review would be 1 star :(

Everywhere we looked it was obvious the property was not being kept up with laundry facilities out of order and rooms looking worn. The bed, pillows, and couch were uncomfortable and the heating/cooling element did not work properly, emanating a dust making us cough.

There was no access to drinking water except from the dining area water container and room faucets. The water fountain in the lobby was out of order. The hot breakfast items (eggs? and sausage) were only adequate. I realize this not meant to be restaurant-quality, but really?

If you have no other choice.
The hotel smells urine everywhere. Room is very large, but poorly kept, lots of dust everywhere. Service is acceptable, but not very welcoming. I guess that’s what you get when you’re out of nowhere.

Stayed for one night and the front desk staff was punctual when I arrived. The check in process was smooth and pleasant. The bed was comfy but the bathroom was a tad small. The tub wasn't clean it has hair in it and the water flow and pressure was slow. I didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on it. Overall, not a bad stay

It smelled like a cat had peed on my bed. The room had no hair dryer and when I inquired at the front desk, they said I’d have to wait until the morning. She seemed unconcerned and stated that sometimes the guests steal them. I asked if perhaps they could get one from and empty room where somebody hadn’t yet checked in. Courtney at the front desk said the hotel was full and that everyone had already checked in.
After I got back to my room, I realized that I better get proof that I reported my room lacked a hair dryer so they didn’t try to charge me for one when I checked out. I went back down to the front desk and asked Courtney to write me a note indicating that my room had no hair dryer and she did.
As I was walking away from the desk, a guy in line behind me walked up to her and said, “I’d like to check in.” It was then that I realized that Courtney had lied to me previously about everyone having already checked in. I mentioned it to her and she said “I told you there were no hair dryers, and I can’t just go into another room.” That wasn’t actually what she told me. She said guests steal them and everyone was checked in so she couldn’t get one from another room. I would have been fine if you didn’t have them or she said initially that she couldn’t get one from another room , but she just blatantly lied to me instead. I was t bothered by the hair dryer…I was bothered about being lied to.

Front desk staff was nice and professional.
Breakfast buffet attendant made sure the whole buffet was clean and well stocked.
Unfortunately inconsiderate guests who chose to smoke pot in their rooms create a negative experience for other guests but otherwise the hotel was a good option for a quick stop during a road trip.

Lacking customer service
Checkin was terrible. The young woman at checkin was pleasant …..she had my reservation I tried to show her Id and credit card. She said she didn’t need it because I booked online. She handed me key cards . And she went back to phone. I asked her about parking, where to come in with dogs. I was not even told my room number, I had to look inside of keys for room. No customer service at all. My thoughts she was new but no interaction with customer.. room was old needing an update. Overall seemed dirty. Breakfast was nothing to write about.
