I stayed from Tuesday to Friday last week and everything was decent on the inside everything seemed cool and pretty , hallways looked alittle old bedrooms as well, what was upsetting was first 2 night the pool was closed when i was told it should have been open the next day but wasnât they didnât open the gym and pool until Thursday which was my last night , I did receive a refund because of that situation. Breakfast was given in the morning and breakfast wasnât that tasty more on the plain side ! But other than that everything seems cooled and it was a nice get away for me and my boyfriend
Also btw the hotel was like in a back cut area alittle creepy and scary but I was safe the hole time / pool had like green water I didnât like that at all !

Big open space but the walls between each room were super thin. Iâve stayed at many hotels and never been able to hear so much of what was going on in the rooms either side of me.
Made it difficult to sleep. Also, no business office or computer / printer even and itâs a huge hotel.
Lacks fillable water stations.

Love this hotel! Hotel room set at a good price point.
Should put more stuffs in their ground floor convenient store, like cup noodles, etc., there weren't more options when we were there/ was almost empty. The mini pizza that was available may be overpriced, but thats hotel prices I guess.

Loud and busy
Large,old hotel filled with refugees and children running up and down the halls,slamming doors. Uncomfortable beds and didn't provide what we requested in the "special requests".

Property is comfortable and staff have always been great. Wi-Fi kicks me out occâly but overall speed is fast. Galina the manager in the restaurant for breakfast is outstanding. She makes sure all are happy and well fed.

We were evacuated from Hyatt Place in Braintree due to failure of fire alarms at 10pm when we returned from Salem. They had known since 1pm but had not bothered to let any of the guests know ahead of time, so we were searching for a nearby hotel at 10pm on a Friday night. We found The Best Western about an hour away so ended up there at almost midnight. Sarah was at the front desk and was so kind and helpful. She fixed us a snack bag and made sure we didn't need anything before going to our room. After dealing with the rude and unhelpful management at Hyatt Place she was so appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place!

The lock on my door seemed to be worn out, it was very difficult unlocking. There was a $100 dollar charge placed on my credit card for incidentals, i have never had such a charge at other hotels. I was told it will be refunded 48 hours after check out. I will be checking my credit card for the credit.

Physical plant needs an update
Hotel needs updating. Carpets are old and dirty. Stake smell throughout. Curtain sheers panels were ripped. Staff was nice but the building is very tired.

I experienced no problems other than a longer than normal wait to check in due to a number of guests arriving at the same time and also buses full of guests also. I understand the busyness of a hotel such as this but do think that the front desk staff were, unfortunately, very understaffed. They did the best they could but would have benefited from additional help in anticipation of this situation.

my medication weekly organizer was stolen along with my heart and diabetes meds. everything else was just fine. reported to desk on sunday am and never heard back from management; ( I expected a phone call)

Great breakfast!!
We arrived late for our check-in. All was good, except I usually make the reservation and my husband always has the license plate information, so he usually goes into the lobby to check in. He had the reservation showing on his phone. We both have same last name and have been married 49 years. The clerk at the desk demanded that I come in to check in. No problem, just that we had never had that happen before. Other than that - all was great - clean room and the breakfast was wonderful! We will go back - but I will be extra sure I put the reservation in my husband's name!

Rooms were dirty, tubs had no stoppers, pullout was unusable, 1000 in the hall, fridge didnât work, phone didnât work. Moved rooms because first room hadnât been cleaned. Too much effort to move a second time. Bed was comfortable and linens were clean

Breakfast! Iâm very satisfied with the breakfast although i am expecting bacons for my nieces.
The front desk officer is very accomodating and very helpful even though we checked in after midnight

All staff I came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, had some nice options. Was alittle let down that there restaurant and bar were not open. The pool was a little worrisome, the water was not moving, bugs and hair floating. The elevators were old I felt like I was staying atvthe haunted manison. The carpets and decor are outdated the halls looked like a scary movie. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfy. I would stay again if I was in the area.

As we were 25 minutes away from the hotel at 9:20 PM, the hotel called to tell us they overbooked the property and didnât have our rooms anymore. We were shocked and had 4 kids in the car with us. We were told it was not their problem that we did not have rooms now. Horrible policy to overbook a hotel and put people out and do nothing to compensate them or make sure they find another hotel.

I don't know why this place has gotten crappy reviews. My room was big, silent and the A/C worked great. Bathroom was brand new. The place was fully booked too. Big breakfast. Maybe the rooms vary widely but I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. ALSO - I witnessed how hard multiple staff members worked to make guests happy. You just don't always see that these days. Good job, guys.

There were three young people working at the desk. We stood there for over 5 minutes at the check in counter before anyone even acknowledged we were there.
The hotel, our room and surrounding area were all good.
Unfortunately, the people at the front desk forgot about attending to their guests.

No air conditioning in halls or elevator, so very hot and stuffy. Elevators were very slow (tried the stairs by our room, only took us outside, not the lobby). Room door did not close properly so we had to slam it to get it to close, felt bad for our neighbors. Room very outdated.

Two elevators were not working. On floor 3 it looked run down with bumpy carpet. After being handed note at front desk that there was limited maid service. There was maid service. Unfortunately the bed was very lumpy, Breakfast was very nice each morning.

What a hole and this place should be condemned. Whoever owns this hotelshould be embarrassed or foreclosed on by whichever bank provided their loan for ownership. The only reason why I have it at 1 star was because there isnât a score for half a star. However, many of the staff are very nice and this crap hole is not because of them. I sincerely feel sorry for the staff who are just trying to make a buck through an honest living and I give them a bunch of credit for trying their best to do their jobs. Also, considering they are âway understaffedâ (as noted by each and every staff memberâs very own words), I have no idea how this sorry version of the Overlook Hotel even has its doors still open for business. If the rooms were free, I would still rather sleep in my car than stay here in this or any future lifetime.

Asked for towels and was told that they would be ready around 7am. Called for towels after 7am and was told that they would send them up. Called several times afterwards and still couldnât get any. Didnât get towels until almost 1:00 pm after going to the desk and talking to the manager. The room never got cleaned nor were we asked if we wanted it cleaned. The carpet in the hallways was nasty and had a stinky smell. They really should replace all of the carpet.

Maintenance man tried entering room 2 hours after we arrived citing he was checking on fire extinguishers. Really ?
I asked for a do not disturb card for door, desk could not provide one.
Desk said house keeping was by request which was fine with me until house keeping entered room on several occasions even after I complained I didnt want it..As a result
missing one $100 ipad pen that i left on the desk.
Paint peeling on ceiling in several places
Black mold possibly in one corner of shower. Carpeting wasnt that clean throughout the hotel. Restaurant for breakfast was good. Restaurant/Bar for Dinner was only open Fri and Sat night limited hours. Food was good. This was part of a 5 day stay for a dance competition.
Definitely didnt feel safe staying there

This was our second stay at this hotel.
The first was about a month ago and pretty nice.
The bed was actually comfortable for our liking having a bit of softness, air conditioning worked and it was a much cooler weekend so the hallway temperature felt fine.
This last stay, the hallway was very, very hot!
Perhaps being an old hotel, it canât handle summer temperatures?
There are four elevators in the lobby only two were working and the hotel was full.
Our room key stopped working each day that we were there.
Come to find out on our last day that it wasnât keyed in properly. Each day we walk ip the 5 flights of stairs and have to turn around and go back down to get a new key.
Not convenient especially with groceries or other things in your hands.
Our bed was very uncomfortable, this time it was very firm, lacking in any softness or cushioning feature.
Shower area was old, needing some caulking around the showerhead.
Air conditioning was on a fritz. Room Temperature definitely not correct. It would say 74 and you would literally be sweating.
Iâm from Florida. I keep my house at 77-78 in the summer and do not sweat when inside. Guessing the room a/c was 5-6 degrees off.

plenty of parking. overall we found the place to be very outdated. the carpets were worn. no air conditioning in the halls way so it was very hot. one of the elevators didn't work. when we got into the room there was a stale smell. i had to go to the store to by lysol. the buffet in the morning we found to be very confusing and had to go to 3 locations to get breakfast. there was no even flow. the entire eating area needs to be done over. no help either which was very said. dirty empty plates on the tables and we had to wait for the tables to be cleaned.
I'm not sure if I would stay there again.

Front desk people are very friendly and helpful. Free continental breakfast was great, variety of food to choose from. Our room is clean and quiet. The only unforgettable check in experienced was the room that they gave us was not ready so they gave us another room. Then the door key to that room doesnât work consistently so they move us again to a different room which was an upgrade. It was just a hassle because we already unpack and settled our things when we find out our door key doesnât work properly. But over all the place is great.

Arrived and was told they were over booked and my room was no longer available that I made a reservation and paid for more than a month in advance. Was given a smaller room as a concession without a refund for the rate difference.
There were large groups of high school kids running rough shod around the floors without any chaperone supervision, harassing people in the elevators, almost knocking people over in the lobby in front of staff, who said or did nothing to control the situation.

Best Western food and cleanliness
The room and service were good. The room rate was cheaper then some hotels I've stayed at with less attention to cleanliness.
The food was exceptionally good. I had dinner there twice (steak tips and fish & chips). Both were very good. They also provided a free breakfast, which was the best I've had in a hotel.

My best friend and I were visiting a friend and stayed over night at the Best Western.
The hotel is an older looking hotel. Looks like it has the original decor. But overall our stay was comfy and the included hot breakfast was a good value. The front desk staff Linda was also very helpful.

Although this is an older hotel, we found the rooms to be clean and quiet. We were on the 6th floor during Memorial Day weekend and expected noise from the many young people who were staying for tournaments in the area.
But our floor was quiet and the hotel was large enough to accomodate the activity. Staff was very professional and helpful.

My family had our stay here for two nights after a 10-hr trip. We have 2 young kids, and the staff was super kind and accommodating to us. Whether at breakfast, at the check in desk, or around the building, the staff was always "on it" and really went out of the way to be kind, especially, the evening/night staff. I had to write this review because we were so impacted by their hospitality. Thank you!

The lobby and room were very clean! Staff were helpful and the breakfast was pretty decent for a hotel continental breakfast. The area around the hotel has a lot of restaurants so it is a great place to stay! Itâs about 40 minutes outside of Boston so itâs great for a visit!!!

Front desk staff were abrasive and impolite at the checkin. There is no housekeeping and you are not warned about this until you see you room I cleaned and call. Hotel staff âmistakenlyâ barged in our room on two different occasions without knocking! First time , they said sorry. On the next day, they again invaded our privacy by entering our room again without knocking. This time, the excuse was, âwhen are you checking out today?â I was like really!?!?! Overall, nice place but very poor customer service!!!!

Checkin was a bit of disappointment. We waited in line for over 30 minutes to check in. 3 people at the front but only 2 were checking people in. Groups and lines were not organized. People jumping in wherever they pleased. While standing in line we heard multiple people saying they used there room key card to get in and it worked but when opening up the room someone was staying in that room. This was a bit concerning for safety of people and our belongings. Then this women said they gave her 3 different rooms and all 3 had people in them. This was not comforting.
Our room was clean. Not very up to date but was useable for a 1 night stay. Downstairs areas very newly renovated.

Great property really enjoyed my stay with my family the fact that my kids enjoyed there stay makes this place excellent pool area nice kids had lots of fun and breakfast was amazing staff super friendly and accommodating
