Very good overall.
Overall, our stay was very good. The staff at this Hampton Inn are very cordial and helpful. Only negative comment is our room was a bit noisy. The toilet had an issue as well the room frig.

Family Reunion
Well maintained, some things are "dated," however they are upgrading, already working on the fourth floor. From the common areas to our room, the entire facility was spotless. You could almost eat off the floor. Most of our interaction was with the front staff. They were knowledgeable, friendly and eager to assist. Overall a 5 stars out of five stars.

Never stay again. Front desk was rude. Inside pool was inoperable even though we called ahead and asked about condition. Found roaches. Asked front desk for another room. They denied saying they were full but the parking lot was empty.

The shower was so dirty with many black hairs around the edge of the tub and dirt stains. It was disgusting. The fridge did not work. They hotel itself looked very nice, but the room was not clean.

Change of heart ❤️
This was our second time staying at this hotel. Two years ago it was just fine. Not sure if ownership has changed, but not good this time around. Cold showers, broken refrigerator, loud beds ( could hear people just changing positions in other rooms and our own) and dog hair everywhere. It is really sad this is only one of three in yorkville to choose from, close to where we visit friends every year. We will be taking my business elsewhere. Reported this to the front desk staff upon check out. Have yet to hear back from management.

The person who checked me in wasn’t the best. I waited in the lobby for a bit, no one came out. Decided to go our stuff and my kids and come back. We then waited some more so I called the hotel and he came out. He seemed to be in a rush to get my room despite being quiet late with no one else around. Unknowingly to us, he gave out us in the room next to the laundry, even though the hotel was pretty vacant. At 630am, I was woken up to the sound of the washer and dryer, like they were in the room with us. Other than that, it was fine for the one thing we used it for. Sleep- even though we were all woken up a lot earlier than we had anticipated due to the noise.

I love the digital key option through the Hilton app. Made everything very easy. The hotel is updated and clean, the room was wonderfully quiet. Comfortable bed, plenty of space in the room, and a nice big bathroom. This is my second stay here and I would definitely choose it again.

I don't normally give a bad review unnecessarily. But here there was no house keeping. I believe Hilton is trying to cut corners by making house keeping optional. Even i have to bargain to get a clean set of towels. TV and remote needs upgrade. Breakfast was good, exceeded the expectations.

Short stay for personal reasons!
Everything eas good with a minor hiccup in the beginning after getting the room. After a few hours, wanted to turn on the a/c, i tried to turn on the window unit, not realizing that the controls were actually at the frint desk, i looked in the unit and it was filthy. Kind of glad i wasn't able to turn it on. Didn't want to breathe any of that in. Service was very kind

Housekeeping should not be on request.
Housekeeping was on a request basis. After our sheets came off the beds the first night (loose fitted sheets and mattress pads) we requested the service and also to get fresh towels. Front desk took the request and our room was untouched the next evening when we returned late. We made the beds ourselves and used damp towels but made the request again the next day. Again, nothing happened. we got towels from the desk and had to make our beds again.

Family visits always a pleasure
I came up to Yorkville from Florida for my mother’s funeral. I flew up early morning and the hotel was able to accommodate an early check in. I waited 20 minutes and was in my room by 10:30am. This gave me ample time to settle in for the weekend before meeting family for an early dinner before the evenings visitation. Everyone was so friendly. Forgot my toothpaste got some from the front desk. This was my second stay at this hotel in 14 months and stays both times!

Room was clean except for a Gatorade bottle that rolled out from under the bed. Facility seemed clean. Tried to get a first floor room because of disabilities but was not able to have the virtual agent understand my request. Overall a good experience

The coffee was cold in the lobby,
Carpets in the elevator were disgusting.
The room door did not fit the opening and in the event of a fire would have been impossible to seal against smoke and heat. There were only two trollies to move luggage. The breakfast room was too cold and the cooling vents made it difficult to find a place to sit. The elevators were very slow. The fridge was not plugged in.
The shower pressure on the 4th. floor was totally inadequate and made a shower a long and tedious process.
The shower water was so "soft" that it was impossible to rinse off the soap from your body.
The staff were friendly, but the many minor problems made it a disappointing stay.
The room cost seemed high.

Nice staff, easy check in and check out. Breakfast was hot. Quiet sleep/stay with one exception...smoke alarm went off at 2am because they didn't replace the batteries.
Guy came up to get the alarm and asked if I would be up a while when he came back with a battery. I said "hell no" and had him take the alarm with him so I could go back to bed.
They should really have reminders to replace those things every couple months.

There was a car with trailer pulled in by lobby blocking walking path. Had to carry luggage from car around to entrance. People were young, and could have parked like everyone else.

There was no soap in our room nor in our friends room,NONE. how does one wash hands? when i said something at the front desk the next day the clerk just shrugged and said they were low on items. i also inadvertently left a wedding card at the front desk 5 min later it was gone along with the cash in it.

I arrived early and asked if we could check in early. I was told that wasn’t possible as our room wasn’t cleaned yet and there was just too many rooms to clean.
So I stayed in the lobby and worked. It was very dirty. The lobby had stains and dirt all over the chairs and benches. I worked in the lobby for about 6 hours and watched a staff member occasionally wipe down tables then sit and watch their tablet or go on smoke breaks. They’d return from their smoke break without washing their hands and continue wiping things down with the same piece of paper towel.
I would occasionally peek at the, who I assumed was the manager, in their office behind the front desk. They spent a lot of time on their phone and got the overall impression from the staff that they didn’t really care about their job.
My wife arrived 5 minutes before check in and asked if the room was ready. She was told the same thing I was. It wasn’t cleaned yet and there was so many rooms for them to clean. 3 minutes later they approach her and tell her the room had been cleaned. Yes, 3 minutes.
My wife also asked for a foldable crib which never came and no one followed up about it.
Now the room. I immediately noticed the dried drip stains on most of the walls. Same as the lobby, there just felt like a layer of grime on everything. My wife found a sharp piece of plastic in our sheets, we got a phone call on our grimey phone at 3:30am. We checked out early.

The hotel seemed old. The carpet in the room and hallway was dirty in need of cleaning. The second floor smelled of pot the moment we walked off the elevator. We had an adjoining room. We didn’t know the people on the other side. Clearly the pot came from there. We stayed two nights in hope they would leave. We ended up checking out early. Such a shame.

I’ve stayed here many times but this trip was not great. The tub didn’t work correctly and there were still dirty towels in the shower from people that were there before us. The room wasn’t ready at check in and at the end of our visit I asked for more towels and they didn’t have any clean towels until I was suppose to check out. Everything was great for other visits here but not this time.

As usual comfortable stay
This is my 'go to' stay when in the area. Always quiet, decent breakfast, shopping & restaurants close by, nothing to complain about. Rooms are clean and bed comfortable. Sometimes price is a bit high and I have to stay at the other hotel almost right next door, but this one is preferred.

It was a nice room but we were put above the pool and hard to sleep at times pool was open. We could hear all the noise. Breakfast was good on Saturday but Sunday was lacking. So don't get on the 2nd floor. Very friendly and helpful staff.

There is almost nothing unique about the property except the corn and beans are right next door. The area around the hotel hasn't developed yet so it was very quiet. Heres an idea, make each hotel a little different so the traveler will know he is in a different location as he travels across the U.S. You know, this is Tuesday so we must be in Boise. Yorkville was a clean, quiet, efficient, almost boring hotel. I liked it!

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The common areas neat and tidy. Our room was not so tidy and we were told the most they could do was run a vacuum, which they did, because housekeeping had left for the day. There was dust everywhere in our room, crackers and Legos pieces on the floor, toothpaste spray all over the mirror, and the tub was filthy. It looked like they simply replaced linens and towels only. I know staff shortages are a huge factor, but something needs to be done to make sure rooms are clean.

When we got to the hotel they told me that the hotel put the wrong pictures in hotels.com and that I wouldn’t get the advertised room. That I would get something of less quality and there was nothing they could do because the nicer rooms where all booked. Even though I had booked one of those.

They never cleaned the room the whole week. Asked twice at the front desk for them to clean. When the housekeeper did come they only emptied the garbage. Then left dirty towels and trash in the room from another room for 3 days. We knew it wasn't our towels as in the bottom of bag was coffee cups that we didn't use.

Stay during COVID. They seem to revolve floors each week. The room was clean, however, there were several dead flys and spiders in the room. This made me think that maybe they do a general cleaning and then send one of thise foggers for the floor. If they did the fogger and this floor hadn't been occupied for 3 weeks, that would explain it. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was requested at front desk and they gave us refrigerated box breakfasts that included a breakfast sandwich (to heat in microwave), fruit cup, muffin, and a yogurt. There were alcohol wipes in the room and the toiletries for shower were still included. It was relatively quiet (weren't many guests there). The only other grip besides the dead bugs was that we were kind of rushed out (check out was at 12 but cleaning staff started asking about 1030 as we started taking stuff to the car) if we were leaving and then even waited outside the room. I'm guessing we were the last room occupied to checkout that day and they wanted to be done for the day.

The room was nice. The lady that services us was very helpful and nice my only is came down to the property manager José. Completely rude and condescending. I explain to him about a card mix up and they charged the wrong card we paid there and they ended up somehow charging the card we had on file. I explained that to him over the phone and he asked for the card I wanted to be charged and I gave it to him. Couple days later I get a refund back then the ended up washing the charge and charged me again for the room and they charged the other card that we provided too. I called again to ask what happened and he tried to switch up my story on what I told. At this point I’m completely done with this hotel I will not be coming back and it’s not the first time I’ve had an issue with the same manager it’s my third time. He’s rude in person and over the phone and he hung up in my face today as well while I was trying to ask him questions regarding the whole thing and in the process of me asking him to charge that card again he then tries to charge my card but my bank declined it since he already charged me for the room twice.

Very rude and unfriendly staff. Had to fight to get a second key at check-in and then was threatened with a fine if I lost it. No coffee available except decaf. No room cleaned, I get that but wonder if they cleaned it between guests. Hair in the shower that wasn't ours! Easily the worst hotel we have ever had. Stain on Hampton in as a brand for sure.

The toliet was dirty, water pressure was non existent. There was noone at the desk after 11pm every night we came and our key wouldn't work. Thankfully someone came each night and either used some app to let us in or someone was leaving. We did appreciate the bagged breakfast with bars, oranges and waters in place of breakfast during Covid.

Poor poor management and customer service, did not feel safe nor reassured during a situation with the management; they keep trying to push that they were right and I’m just overthinking, we live in a scary day in age where scary stuff happens everyday and they invaded my privacy without consulting me about it. There shouldn’t have been an issue, an analogous goes a long way.

Travel during tough times
This is our “go to” hotel when we travel to the area. This is our first trip dealing with Covid so our stay was very different: cleaning of our room needed to be prescheduled, only 2 people in elevator (unless family), closed pool, and masks. Grocery store a convenient walk for breakfast items to microwave or fast food locations also close by. Hotel provides fresh coffee they prepare for you and silverware available upon request. We felt hotel has done all they can during these difficult times.

Sheets weren’t changed in 3 separate rooms
Was given 3 different rooms. Every room had sheets that looked to have not been changed. After the 3rd room was dirty, I just had them cancel my reservation and refund me. Desk was very nice and genuine through the whole process and felt awful.

It just was a place to sleep on the fourth so I wouldn't have to drive at night. Nothing fancy, no breakfast available, no water in the vending machine. They did give me one bottle of water. Water pressure was horrible!!!

This hotel is suppose to be non smoking. We got the only suite and spent a lot of $ for it. It smelled of smoke. The staff claimed it was not noticeable when they approved the room to be cleaned. Made me question if they did any thorough cleaning at all. They could not move us because they didn't have another room this type. Plus staff didn't wear masks all the time and when I saw guest not wearing masks they did not tell them to either. Disappointing!
