Wedding anniversary trip
Great hotel, enjoyed the stay and the breakfast. No parking was the downer. We had to find our own parking and it was stupid expensive. Cute little hotel lol 😂

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small, but still met our needs. The front staff was extremely kind, knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast had a good variety and was convenient.

Great location and comfort
Great location and comfort , my only small issue is the elevators is so tiny only about 4 people ,if that ,with luggage fit and there was always a line for the elevator.

Wonderful hotel with very small rooms
I stayed here for 5 nights for a business trip. First, the staff were all just amazing, especially those at the front desk. Everything was extremely clean. The location was amazing. So many great restaurants nearby and you could easily walk so many places. Great breakfast.
I do think it's important to know the rooms are extremely small. I'm pretty sure my room was 8×12. It worked just fine for me as I was by myself, but I would not want to stay here with my family. There was just a queen bed, desk and chair, and a tiny little table that holds a kurig. No refrigerator or microwave. It was perfect for my needs, but it might not be for everyone.
I will definitely stay here on my next business trip.

It was nice and in a great location. The only issue was that the toilet didn’t flush consistently, which was odd because the pressure in the shower was great. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Although thebroom was a bit small, it was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were great. Their Doorman is wonderful! The wifi and breakfast spread was awesome. The hotel is directly across Trader's Joes. Coffee shop (Starbucks Reserve) is a good 2 min walk. Plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby.

I liked the location of this hotel, but I didn't realize how small the rooms were. There is a bed and a bathroom and closet. But that's it - no desk/table area to work or use for placing a purse, keys, etc.

The cleanliness is not much to speak of since it was not very clean due to dirty crumbling walls paint etc. The room was very small with an extra small bathroom. The housekeeping was not very forthcoming after we complaint about water leaking from the tub. Our key fob stopped working couple of times during our two day stay (had to get it reset 4 times). It was not a good experience.

Room was comfortable in temperature, was dirty near the window sills, bed was comfortable and soft. Tv channels were okay some didn’t even work.
Hotel staff was nice called when food was delivered. Checked out a day early which they let me do with no problem.
Not sure it was worth the price for a 4 day stay though.

The room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable with a nice sized bathroom.
The overall hotel was clean and has the amenities for a comfortable stay.
All staff from the check in desk to housekeeping, to lounge staff to the doorman, were welcoming friendly, and very hospitable.
I would definitely return for another stay the next time I return to Chicago!

Great location for exploring downtown Chicago. Can walk to most places in the city. Rooms were well maintained, all of the employees were very friendly.
My only issue was the size of the room. There was no space to open a suitcase and leave it open as I would have tripped over it all the time.

The property in general was okay. The location was convenient. The rooms are a tad on the small side but the bed was comfortable. I was disappointed in the fact that their hotel description said it had a casino on site, only to find out that the casino they were referring to was a block down the road, and won't be open until November.

Very good location, exceptional personal, clean, very comfortable beds and pillows very good services and the breakfast. The only thing has to do with the nature of the building because there were very small rooms, almost no space to walk inside or put your suitcase or bags

It is a very loud hotel you can hear everything in the hall ways trying to sleep at 1am and had a group of people in the hallway just talking etc

Overall I was very satisfied with my stay. Customer service was excellent. My only problem is the bed in the room I stayed in was very hard. I'm sure if I'd said something they probably would've switched my room but I don't like to complain especially when everything else was nice and the customer service was excellent. I would stay here again.

There is really nothing to review as the hotel was closed and literally locked up when I arrived. I had no warning, Expedia had no warning, and even the Holiday Inn corporate had no warning. This was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. Enough said!

The rooms are REALLY small. Well the standard rooms. The policy says you can chose smoking rooms but they don’t let you smoke so that’s false advertisement. The remote wasn’t working and the tv cuts on by itself. Weird.

The rooms were small, but it is a bit of a retro-fit boutique hotel from back in the day. That being said, the room was clean and well appointed. One of the windows did not close and latch completely so it was a bit of surprise, albeit not a real convenience. Just a small amount of extra street noise. The food was good. The valets were wonderful and very helpful. Definitely to be trusted.Front desk staff was very helpful, directing me twice on how to get to the lake front running trail. This is a safe section of town with much within walking distance.

Very nice building and location. Staff was friendly.
Breakfast was off due to covid-19. It would have been nice to have something placed in my room before my arrival (i.e. yogurt or cereal of some sort) to make up for that (given that I expected some degree of breakfast from my reservation).
The vending machine did not read credit cards so I had to get out of the building to get something to drink.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a good location- close distance to many restaurants, shops, convenience stores, etc. The hotel valet parking was helpful, however a little pricey ($54/day). We did have a couple of minor issues with the room. There was a constant whistling sound coming from one of the windows, as if it wasn't closed tight enough, however it was nailed shut. Also, we had a hard time regulating the temperature of the water in the shower, at times there was no hot water. Also, there was no hot water in the bathroom sink which made it hard to wash my face and hands. The bed was very comfortable. We did not take advantage of the breakfast.

I love the location of the hotel, and enjoy the free breakfast but the room was extremly loudy. At night you can hear all coming from the streets and I was at a 10th floor. Also the room was too cold, and I have to cover the window with a towel because of the cold wind entering.

It was a beautiful building, and we were highly impressed with the breakfast options during our stay. The front of house staff was kind enough to ask about our plans and furry babies at home. The personal touch was wonderful. The only thing I didn’t approve of was the fact that we were never prompted before reserving the room online or over the phone that we would pay $54 for a valet parking, which we wouldn’t receive a refund for. During check in, we were told it was just a room deposit. Once we checked out, we were informed that it’s just an additional cost to pay the valet. Our valet driver was a sweet man, and we tipped accordingly!

Not the best stay.
Terrible cleanliness in the hotel overall. The lifts smelled and the floors were sticky. The passages were dirty. as if not vacuumed. Bedside lamps were broken, no trashcans in bathroom, door to the room was off the hinges, hence constantly jamming. Front desk wanted my drivers license number, which they dutifully noted down. In other hotels, my license is checked to verify my name against that of the reservation, but it has never been noted down. Will avoid this hotel in future.

My only problem was at check-in. The guy who initially helped me was very nice and friendly. He had problems getting the key to print. He asked the lady for help. I had already slid my card twice but they both insisted that nothing went through. I logged into my bank account and sure enough two charges for $50 from the hotel. The lady was rude be a if it was my fault but the man was very nice and helped me keep calm because I'm sure he seen that my irritation was growing. She kept saying, ma'am it's only one in the system when I clearly showed her two charges in my account.

The staff was very nice and the location was great, but the room was very small with no fridge or microwave. The vending machine was broken, unfortunately, but the staff accomodated my need for water bottles. The breakfast was hot, which was nice, but the only thing that tasted good enough to finish was the instant oatmeal I made. Overall, a good value for the price in the area, but not a stunner.
