Nice smell
Nicely setup and smelled nice. Shower door would not stay in place but overall room was very nice. Good variety breakfast. Couple of minutes from most restaurants.

This place was really clean and a nice quiet place to rest. The hotel staff was friendly with easy check in. The breakfast was really good for a hotel breakfast. I stayed here while attending a football game at Notre Dame. Easy driving distance to stay out a little bit. I would highly recommend this property.

We were a little put off by the fact we could not get 2 more towels the day we arrived. The room only had 2 towels in it. We had 4 adults staying in the room. When we asked, we were told they did not have anymore towels. The next morning, we asked again to a different person, and they said they would try to find us some. The breakfast that morning was a struggle as well. The person working the breakfast seemed to struggle with keeping up with stocking the food. They were pretty much out of everything.
I gave it a 3 star because everyone I encountered, with exception of one, seemed to want to go above to try and help with what they could. I did appreciate that.

Room was great except for the tile flooring in bathroom and entryway. It was not clean. Shower door was spotty but appeared to be clean. Water spots all over it. However, we had the best breakfast we’ve had in several years. We’ve stayed at many over the years and this was exceptional.

The first room we were given had a horrible smell. It also had black grease footprints on the carpet and the sheets did not look clean. We went down and requested a different room. The second room was clean and worked out fine. The rooms don’t block out noise. We could hear noisy guests in the hallway. Only one elevator was working. For being a newer hotel, I was surprised by some of these items. The free breakfast was great. It provided a wide variety of hot and cold options.

Expedia is not the way to go….just call the hotel and book yourself. Stayed at hotel and find in two weeks later, Expedia makes another reservation at same hotel and says that I called them for reservation. Never called for a reservation for room two weeks after I had already stayed there. Don’t know who is running their reservation division but maybe need to check out their staff.

Beds are so hard. Felt like we were laying on a board or those old twin mattresses from your childhood that you could throw because they had no support.
The main area hotel floor was filthy. You could see spot where someone spilled something and then enough dirt built up around the spot that you could see it.
Asked twice for extra linen, blankets to create a softer bed. Ac shut off in the middle of the night. Room service started at 9:00 knocking on doors and waking others up.

When I got to my room, I went to take a quick shower before going out to eat. I found a black spider on the shower curtain and a brown spider on the floor leading into the bathroom. I went to the front desk and told Rachel who was the manager about this, and she asked me if I was a Holiday Inn member and I she told me she could do nothing about this and gave me a deer in the headlights look that I was upset about having spiders in my room. I left the front desk feeling I was not an important customer to Holiday Inn Express.

Desk clerk not familiar with check out policy. Saw a bug in the room and near the dining area. Toliet was tempermental about flushing. Pool was closed. Blood on sheets when I checked in. I assumed maid would change it the next day when I pulled the coverlet off, very noticeable. She didn't. Had to have them come back and change the bed.

Clean, quiet, and great staff!
Best hotel service I’ve had to date. The staff is polite, efficient, neat, knowledgeable, and it really shows! It was very clean, right down to the little details. Maintenance staff was very quick and helpful replacing my coffeemaker.

The stay was great. The staff was excellent and very kind. One morning there was no food available for breakfast, the entire place had been emptied out. The cooking staff was most likely overwhelmed with the amount of people who were there for the eclipse. I have very much enjoyed staying at this hotel and hope to visit again.

The noise and poor maintenance of the facilities was despicable. The staff was fair enough. We asked to be moved due to noise and we were accommodated but the new room had no shower curtain or bar to hang a curtain.

Clean, quiet hotel.
Hotel was very clean. In a very quiet location. We thought we were the only people in the hotel. In the morning we saw a bus load of soccer players had stayed the night & never knew they were even there. Breakfast area was clean & food was full. Will stay again if we are in the area!

Great Experience
My son and husband stayed here overnight during their most recent fishing trip. The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very nice particularly the cinnamon rolls.

I had asked for a room close to the elevator. I walk with a can or walker. The room we were given was the one farthest from the elevator. I also believe that I had reserved an accessible room. There was a low bathtub with low grab bars. I don’t see a horizontal grab bar fir getting out of thr tub. And one last thing. The bed is very high. For someone with accessibility issues that is a big problem. It comes up to my waist and I couldn't get into bed also. I just hope that if I get up during the night my friend is up as well to help me make into ted.

Certainly, one of my top stays over the last quarter of a century. Room was clean and spacious. No noise problems. Water pressure at sink a little low. TV worked well. Bed was comfortable. Frig but no freezer compartment. Microwave. Parking was close and easy. Breakfast had good food and variety, but no bananas.

We stayed over 2 weeks. I liked the pool, gym, and the room was nice. The beds are very tall and are hard for my parents to get into. They do not have step stools to help you get into the beds. The maid service was okay. We had to keep asking for extra towels even though we let them know at the front desk there is more then 2 people in the room. One time a maid left the door opened and left for break. She didn't come back to clean the room. Didn't make the bed very well and the sheets were hanging on the floor on one side. I called and let them know at the front desk. The girl came back without her cart and had to keep going to the end of the hall for items off her cart. The breakfast was ok. The weekend they had biscuit and gravy and it was cold even with us going down there at 5 minutes after it was opened. Will also left 2 days earlier and didn't get a refund for those dates since we booked through Orbitz. We will not stay there again.

When we got there, we were greeted pleasantly, and the room seemed very nice. The bed was comfortable and we had a pleasant first night. We got up the next morning had a wonderful breakfast. Eggs, bacon, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, pancakes, it was great. We spent the day away from the hotel, and when we got back, the room had not been cleaned. I was glad I had not left my towels on the floor. The next morning we went down to have breakfast, and to our disappointment, there was nothing ready. My husband is diabetic, and one of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the breakfast they offered. The person that normally fixes breakfast apparently did not show up for work so they did what they called a grab and go breakfast which is not at all appropriate for a diabetic. I understand it is difficult when your staff does not show up, but where I work if someone doesn’t show up, and everybody else is busy, the manager steps up and takes care of the empty spot. My question is why could the manager not get out of her office and go out and fix some eggs and fill the pancake machine? That is what you do to keep your customers, satisfied and happy. There were many guests that were quite distressed when breakfast was not available after it had been promised. I will not return to this hotel. it has the possibility to be quite excellent, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

I booked the wrong date,( with Expedia) for a funeral. Needed1 day earlier. Only found my mistake 1 day before the 7 hour drive. No refunds given, so i had to book and additional day. Expedia said would refund if Holiday Inn ok. For 2 days no manager in to get approval. No messages returned. Even after getting to hotel at 2:30 pm no manager. Finally asked again and she stated no refunds and blamed Expedia. She said go ask the next manger .. never got back with me. I tracked her down again, said answer still no refund. Hard enough to deal with a lost of a family member and then deal with the blame game.

Awesome front desk, great breakfast, housekeeping needs to step their game up.
The desk staff was awesome. Very welcoming and customer service driven. The trash in my room was not emptied from the previous visitors to that room when we arrived and the sheets on one bed were dirty. Luckily we did not need that bed.

Very nice hotel and staff. The breakfast really let it down. The coffee was even lousy. The pancake maker was still broken. I guess I was just looking forward to a decent breakfast.
