We had high expectations for our stay based on the property's website. I felt like the property was fairly dated in person. Our room wasn't super clean (there was a smear of something on the bedskirt that was off putting). But, the property was beautiful, the view from our room was nice and it was a fine place to stay for 1 night. Lots of dining options within driving distance.

Snoozy and snobby with the grounds of a place Britney would be sent to for rest.
My 2 friends a I (female, 40s) came for a 2 day stay ahead of our high school reunion. We flew in and were looking forward to a resort stay. Instead, we ended up humiliated.
I asked where the 2nd bar was, and was told "there is a dress code." Mind you, I was wearing jeans and a green cardigan. My friends were in t-shirts, one in yoga pants, jeans. My friend in yoga pants had just landed and offered to go get a dress from her luggage. The front desk guy said "well you can TRY to get in." Every other guest in this place was wearing yoga pants and golf wear.
We get to the bar and the hostess says, sure sit anywhere. Well, we sit at a table, and she comes back and tells us to move because its for "members only." Then why did you tell us to sit anywhere? Fine, we moved and had a couple of drinks. We notice the other bar now has tons of people there and a fire going outside and a nice employee dropped us off outside via golf cart.
We go up to the bar and see that it's a conference because everyone is wearing badges. Some guy asks me if "I'm with their company" being cheeky, I said "I could be!" Not amused. We stand next to the bar & decide where to go next - & the guy says "If you girls want a drink, you can go up to the PUBLIC bar." My friend says no reason to be mean. We go to the bar where plebs are welcome, and are told the manager said not to serve us.
We are paying guests!!!

Spa was great. They did not clean the bathroom as used contacts were on ghe sink and floor. Everything else seemed clean though. Service was great. Id return but just ask for my bathroom to be clean when i arrive.

Elevators were broken which resulted in many people with children in strollers or wedding parties waiting 20 minutes for one elevator when the hotel was at full capacity.
I understand that accidents happen but absolutely nothing was communicated to the guests or signs involved to point towards the stairs. Some guests from the 8th floor were carrying their suitcases down 8 flights.
The elevators were not fixed in a timely manner either. It took 48 hours for them to get someone out to fix it which is just unacceptable. They should have had all hands on deck staff on each floor helping people carry things down or given people their money back.

Wonderful property and nice rooms. Only one working elevator that caused lots of delays with a dog. Also took a long time to get food at the pool! Busy weekend. Golf club had a wonderful relaxing lunch!’ Staff was wonderful!!

We had a great stay at the Landsdowne. The pools were fantastic, the staff was very accommodating, and the room was great. It’s such a bonus that they are dog friendly. And there are several great vineyards within a 20 minute drive.

Great local weekend getaway- we just timed it poorly with the lifeguards not being as available so there were less pool open.
Food was ok but hours were not updated on the website and the restaurants wouldn’t always pickup their phones when they were open so I had to call the very helpful front desk.

On arrival at the area of check in with your car they have a large sign with a QR Code which you may expect to be part of your necessary check in for parking. There’s no real explanation but that you scan and use you credit card.
Some in our separate arriving group did indeed follow the prompt & then went inside to the front desk where they checked in. No one there explained what it was only that it’s for parking authorization. They were charged $15 per day (2 days with a one night stay) and told at check they can not handle parking as that is separate from the hotel. The charge was also separate and not included on the bill at check out.
Upon arrival, those of us older folk said “bag this I’m not scanning that!” did not pay to park. The others were duped into believing this was a requirement. The deceitful part was there was absolutely no explanation available in print as to what the QR Code was for other than it was required for parking. Well we won’t be back! Too bad for a hotel to stupidly contract out a company that dupes their guests into a ridiculous Dailey fee to park their car out in the country!

This resort is nice and relaxing. However, the dinning is rather expensive, although the food is good. I didn't like that it is dog friendly because I get tired of seeing dogs everywhere I visit.

I was originally supposed to stay at the property for 2 nights but due to a family emergency my stay was cut short by one day. A huge thank you to Tracy at the Front Desk who was truly understanding of my emergency and allowed me to check-out early without penalty. The overall property was great and high quality from the bellman/valet to the pool staff. My only concern is getting someone to answer the phone. I tried to get someone 2 different times on the phone and was unable to do so. I had to go to the front desk and both times there was no line and at least 2-3 people working. I will definitely continue to support this venue!

The property was very lovely. Rooms were quite nice besides upon looking closely you’ll see that they do not clean all that well. Pulled back the curtains to the windows to find don’t know how but a pieces of long hair stuck to the window and dust and dirt in areas of the room. Quite shocked that it is a resort but you have to pay to park? For the price you are paying you would think it would be included. Also food was good at the restaurants and the bar had great drinks. Service was great. Something that rubbed me the wrong way but I understand was a service member they do not offer rates if you stay on Friday or Saturdays nights. I understand since that is their busier time and that’s where they make the most money. Overall that is why I put three stars.

this is a shame because I love this spa
I was very disappointed in a birthday spa retreat I scheduled with my friend. We were treated rudely in the Piedmont restaurant when we arrived for an early lunch before our spa treatments, and frankly wanted to leave due to how unwelcome we felt. But we stayed, enjoyed the spa, and checked in, only to discover later that the conference being held at the hotel was a right-wing Christian group that made us extremely uncomfortable and eager to leave again. We didn't dine at the resort again, checked out early and left. I did mention the restaurant incident during check in and told the agent that I would welcome a call from the hotel manager, but never received one. All around disappointing.

The staff was top-notch! Everyone was friendly and helpful. My first encounter was with Ingrid who made sure I had an accessible room because my daughter recently broke her leg. Check-in was easy, the bellhop was quick and professional and the valet were prompt. The pools were well kept and relaxing. The restaurants were good and the food was tasty. I do wish there were more options on the menus. The pool bar's alcoholic frozen drink machine was broken so they only had frozen margaritas but not the lemonades or orange crushes. The margaritas were good, though!

I had a really great stay here for one of my longest trips yet, at 14 days. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and they have so many amenities. The pools, the golf course, the fitness center, the spa, the restaurants, the bars, and the hiking trail were such a treat.

Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. The service in all areas was excellent. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The spa service was good but the showers and jacuzzi had mold which really ruined the experience. The exercise classes we had planned our morning around were canceled last minute. The food at Piedmont was mediocre given the price. And the breakfast fruit cup from Harmony Market was spoiled. So, our $1000 weekend was not worth it in my opinion.

It was just ok.
The Hotel grounds was very well manicured. The staff was mid, they weren’t super friendly. The room needs some upgrading and there were ants in the bathroom. It’s supposed to be a quite resort for relaxation but the guest in the room next to us decided to play music at 6:30 AM, we had to call the front desk, security came and still it was loud…they did it again the next morning, we were so annoyed. The restaurants at the resort didn’t have much on the menu so we traveled around and the area was very nice and plenty to choose from and everything was less than 10 mins away. The Spa at the resort was excellent! We enjoyed ourselves and all the staff was extremely friendly. It’s a one time experience.

The resort is really very nice BUT.... Let's start with the positives: The grounds are extensive with lots to do (golf, pool, fitness center, dining) all onsite. The decor is fairly modern and the facilities are pretty well kept. It's cool that they have a separate pool for adults with a bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. With that said, there are several things that made the experience much less enjoyable than it could've been. First, we paid extra for a golf course view where the only thing we could see was the beat up driving range (not a single green or fairway visible). The temp within the resort is ridiculously high (very warm & humid). Be prepared to pay $20 /day for parking... that's in addition to the resort fee. What was most disappointing, however, was the 30min wait we had to get seated... for breakfast! What made this all the more frustrating is that half the tables were empty so I assumed they must have an extensive breakfast menu. It was only after finally getting seated that I came to understand it was a standard buffet you get for free in an average hotel. So we got up and left and had a very enjoyable brunch at Ted's Bulletin. FWIW, I provided this feedback to the hotel and help off posting this review.

I liked the first impression of the lobby and the vibrancy. The room was nice and clean. However, I was disappointed that there was no microwave. I had an issue with my credit card but Lisa from the front desk was very helpful and cleared up the confusion. I wish there were more food options from Coton and Rye but the food and service was good overall.

I always enjoy my stays at this property. I usually stay a couple times a year. Most staff is very nice, but maybe the store staff could be a bit friendlier when not purchasing items but asking for things such as a cup, etc…one older lady was not as pleasant when i came in for that.

Lovely resort...housekeeping and temp control poor
We were impressed with the area of Leesburg and the Lansdowne Resort. Our dissatisfaction was with the cleanliness of the room and the temperature setting being locked. Both items were reported multiple times. We had rooms 322 and 325. In the one room, with the guests staying 2 nights, the robe was soiled (looked like blood) and the linens on the bed were soiled. That is a deep concern of housekeeping especially coming off of covid and with me working in healthcare setting.
The TV in that same room and the telephone were not working.
The temps of the rooms were too warm and it was locked apparently until a certain time of year. For a guests comfort, as we all have different preferences this was not guest friendly.
Our concerns were reported during our stay but not resolved.
On a positive note, the staff were OUTSTANDING from the front desk to the golf shop to the Fresh Market. It really is a beautiful resort.

Ok hotel. I wiukd definitely go during the summer or warmer months to enjoy the outdoor stuff they had to do like the pool and live music.
Room was average nothing special. The thermostat is the room was heated to get right. So throughout the night it would get cold then hot. So we didn't sleep good at all!!
Pub food was good not to expensive.
Overall it was ok. Nothing super exciting to write about. Maybe better in the summer. The plus is it's located close to alot of things to do such as old Town Leesburg and wineries

Overall, Lansdowne Resorrt is a beautiful facility. Great amenities and activities to keep you entertained during your stay. The front desk staff and concierge personnel are awesome! Shout out to my guy Collin!
The hotel is located in an ideal location. Close to many outside restaurants, bars, stores etc. We went to One Loudin (Friday night) and had dinner at a restaurant called Matchbox which later turned into a nice and quaint salsa dance club. The food and drinks were good, and so was the environment. I definitely recommend checking this place out, if that’s your speed.
However, there is one thing that definitely stood out that I wasn’t pleased with and that was the cleanliness of our room. The bathroom looked like it was cleaned in a hurry. Thank goodness, I brought my Clorox wipes and Lysol. I also found stains on the sheets, and the floor needed to be swept/vacuumed. I know nothing is ever perfect, however I do expect my sleeping quarters to be somewhat immaculate. This part of my stay was the most uncomfortable. I didn’t bother to complain at the time because I figured it would probably be same situation had we moved to another room. The reason I say this is not only was our room untidy, but walking in the hallway to out room, I could see that the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. I know this, because we were there for 2 nights and the floor had the same debris.

A decent but not special Leesburg option
Although we enjoyed the spa and setting (nice Potomac walks, historic Leesburg, and wine tasting), the facility itself was a bit generic and overly corporate. We would have liked a cozier room and more elegant common spaces. Instead it was all a bit cold and corporate. But, we had a lovely weekend exploring the area and excellent massages in the spa. We paid extra for a room and got a view of the parking lot rather than the river.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2022
Had a wonderful long weekend at Lansdowne. The staff was amazing, great food and atmosphere in the Tavern. It was decorated for the holidays and looked beautiful. Wanted to do s’mores by the fire pit, but we ran out of time. We stay every time we visit our family and love it!

Hidden gem!
Slightly off the DC beaten track, but with the amenities of a luxury metropolitan resort. Service was great, lots of staff on hand. The spa should be its own attraction. The crossfit box inside the gym was the cherry on top of an exceptional experience.

Property is old and musty. Piedmont Club restaurant served scallops that tasted like oysters. Rooms not very clean. Restaurant and hotel staff didn’t seem to have any hospitality training. The spa was decent but I would never go back to this property.

Went for a girls weekend because of the advertised amenities. Nice amenities but on-site restaurants have too strict dress codes and limited menus. Weekend brunch ended at 10:30 and minimal lunch options unless you follow the golf terrace dress codes or eat at the pool. Spa service was very nice but had something broken and could not use the wet sauna or whirlpool which was disappointing. Pool area was nice but very overcrowded due to one pool had a private event and the other was closed which was another disappointment. We had security called on us because we talked too loud in the room at 10:15pm on a Friday night. Security told us to move our conversation to the lobby, in reality we were chatting as we were getting ready for bed and didn’t want to do that in our pajamas. Sort of an embarrassing situation because we are middle aged women headed to bed to get good sleep without our kids being there! But made for a good story to tell our friends at least!

They have three pools, including one with a waterside for kids. Spa was great. You’ll have to drive to any attractions, such as wineries, downtown Leesburg, etc. My only main criticism is the only breakfast served in the restaurants is a $25 per person buffet. I wish there was another option, besides the market, to order breakfast.

Everything as a Resort was super including the Golf courses and Magnolia trees. The showers within the suites were not to the standard and quality of the rest of the facility/resort. They need to UPDATE showers to today's standard within each unit to make it a 5 star resort!!!

The corner rooms with the balcony has a suite room that joins it! Very poorly designed room for noise control. You can hear everything!
If you have a group in those suites that join your room, and the people in them decide to party all night long even if they’re not that loud, that means no sleep for you!

This resort is a beautiful place to stay. Restraunts on-site are pricey but the food is great. We enjoyed the laid back feeling at the pool, bonfire pits and sitting areas. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was great! We did not get to venture out very much outside, except for pool and bonfire pits. Access to local dining was amazing, great local options. All of the staff was very helpful and had great customer service. There is free parking or valet parking available. We would definitely come back to stay, and it is very family friendly as well.
