The guy at check-in was the most miserable person I’ve encountered in a very long time. Certainly the worst front desk person I’ve ever encountered. The bartender, Rodney was a class act and I appreciated his demeanor and sense of humor. The hotel had a musty odour. I won’t be returning.

Dirty and unclean are what immediatley come to mind from the moment you walk into the hotel. Just glance down at the baseboards to see years of dirt and dust. Then have a look at the tired filthy rugs and couches in the lobby.
Come on people this is basic 4 walls approach. Keep your place clean and people will notice. Its just gross at this point. Property is old and tired. Its a 2 star hotel. Dont be fooled

I stayed at the Blue Moon overnight before a cruise. The staff is wonderful! Alex and Devontae gave great recommendations for restaurants and cafes that were a short walk from the hotel. JP allowed us to relax under the covered terrace until closer to our embarkation time - he also made sure we were comfortable.
Although the hotel is an older property, it has been renovated to keep its own boutique hotel charm. I especially loved the water pressure and shower amenities in the bathroom - best hotel shower I have had in a long time!
We had to change our dinner plans due to an untimely downpour. We ate at the hotel bar and had the best chicken sandwich with french fries - I highly recommend both.

Good base for visiting the area
The only problem we had at the Blue Moon was that there was an area wide power cut when we arrived, so they couldn’t check us in. Obviously not their fault, but we were well looked after with a drink while we waited and a reduction in our bill. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The pool area is small but a comfortable place to relax. We had a good meal in the cosy bar area one evening. It’s close to the action on Ocean Drive, only a block away, while far enough removed to be quiet, if that’s what you want. We stayed for a couple of nights before joining a cruise and would happily return in the future.

Good hotel
The hotel is old but in good shape. The lobby in the second part of the hotel where we stayed had a funky smell. There are lots of outside areas to sit and relax.

Very nice Art Deco South Beach hotel on Collins. The staff were all very pleasant and dignified. But they should have checked the shower before we checked in, as it was not working. We had to wait for someone to fix it while we were there. Other than that, it was fine.

Two love birds having fun
We had an amazing time. My baby just lost his best friend and im dealing with life situations with my dad. Do we needed a mini Vacay. We had credit wtih Hotels l! So we chose to stay here. BEST DICISION EVER. PERFECT LOCATION Amenities were awesome. Staff was fantastic. Will be coming back again.

Wonderful Stay!!
This was our second time staying at the Blue Moon. We had a great stay and service from Devante and Alex at the front desk was exceptional and the bellman Anderson was friendly and helpful. We will be back for our next stay soon

We arrived and we have been received with a warm welcoming!
Great customer service from the door men, bartenders and receptionist, provided bottled water every time needed.
Room was great, cleaned every day. Coffee bar available in the morning with tea selection, apples and cereal bars, loved the bikes ! You can ride them for 3hrs max every day!
Beach towels and chair available as well included in the hotel fee, pool is small but so what it was just great, private and practical.
Bar restaurante offered great menu and cocktails/ beer/ wine with attentive service.
We had a wonderful stay, I will definitely recommend, location is great. Thank you so much.

The reception who checked us in was extremely rude and cold.as soon as I walked in I said hi how are u. His response was. I need ur ID and card. I asked what floor we are staying. He mentioned open the card it is there can’t u see it?! Also he mentioned I dont think u need help with ur languages take care of it urself!??. I was shocked the way I was treated at this hotel at the check in. That’s not how a customer should be treated I paid over $500 for 2 nights I deserve some respect at least say hi to people walking into ur hotel. If u loose one customer per day per year u loose 365 customers and he was treating everyone like that I saw it with my eyes the way he treats customers makes me think he is there just for the paycheck and doesn’t care for the reputation of the Hotel at all.
Elevators are very old never old and the receptionist makes feel so much unwanted as soon as u step in.
Rooms are extremely small and no lights on the ceiling. There is only one lamp on night stand yes one lamp only and it won’t turn on easily u have to play with it 10-15 mins, and hope it stays on.
Pool is extremely small. Not worth the money at all, we over $500 for 2 nights. I don’t think their 5 star reviews are real.
The receptionist who checked us in, should get a new job.He had no name tag ( he has mustache and bold wears earringring) I have never seen such a cold and rude receptionist. The hotel looks completely different than pictures. Such a rip off. Never coming back.

We had an awesome stay at Blue Moon. The staff is extremely friendly and they go out of their way to help you and feel welcome. A credit is offered at their bar, free chairs and towels at the beach. Cozy pool and lounge area is fun. The products they offer in the shower are awesome and smell so good. It was absolutely perfect!

Amazing stay!
What a wonderful experience! We had 2 rooms booked here for an extra day in Miami after our cruise. We are so glad we chose this hotel. JP at the front desk was fantastic! He allowed us to check in early and gave us so much information about the area and specials the hotel has. Rodney at the restaurant was also really amazing. They have a really nice happy hour from 4-7.
Rooms were very spacious. We had a king suite and a standard king room. Super clean. Big and bright! Great location.

We loved our stay at the Blue Moon. This little boutique hotel has all the amenities we needed including a beautiful pool, patio and the hotel bar was the perfect spot for a night cap after taking in the sights of South Beach. The staff was so accommodating and valet parking was easy and stress free.

We didn’t have champagne in our room when we arrived but other than that it was a perfect week! Staff was very nice to us every time we came in and out of the building. Food at the diner was very good. Great time at the Blue Moon hotel!

It was an amazing experience. Everyone was so helpful, from the moment we got out of the car to the moment we left. It was peaceful and well worth every penny we spent. Affordable and right in the middle of everything. Only a 3 minute walk to the beach. We will be coming back!

I booked accomodations for a festival and wanted to attain accomodations that were within walking distance to the venue. Based on the pictures I decided to go with the Blue Moon. The room was a far cry from the pictures. We saw how much space the twin bed room had and thought that the queen accomodations would be as equally roomy. It wasnt. The room was extremely cramped and didnt offer much room. The furniture is old and dilapidated and had obvious signs of over use. The toilet was right up against a wall to the point that if I sat on the toilet, my knees touched the wall. These are not the things I expected from a 4 star property.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. It was amazing how we were in the middle of everything but once we went into the pool area of the hotel, and the covered patio is felt like we were in a whole different place. It was quaint, cozy. I love the colors, design and the room the shower was huge and the staff was amazing. JP and Rocky are amazing people I will definitely stay at this hotel again what I didn’t like with a small elevator, but that was nothing compared to how amazing the hotel was.

Property is in a great location and restaurants and stores are easily accessible. The staff was great and they offered water and champagne daily throughout our stay. The water in the room just gets warm and some upgrades are needed around the property such as the old style elevator but overall a great experience.

I have only stayed in one property in the area but have this one a chance. There was so many amenities. From the time you stepped out the car the staff was accommodating. Clean
Room and it smelled good. Less than a 10 minute walk from the strip.

This has been the absolute best stay again. JP the manager listen his heart is big and his service is impeccable. There was a small problem and guess what he took care of it and made my trip for my boyfriends bday so phenomenal, the other guest that was with me can not stop talking about everything. I would not stay anywhere else in Miami . Blue moon is forever my hotel. The staff , Rodney that manger the bar the housekeepers etc the most professional staff. Except 1 but that 1 could not turn my stay into a bad experience with JP running the hotel you are always acknowledged and treated with impeccable service. Thank you Blue Moon Miami.

I booked this trip for rest and relaxation. While South Beach is busy, I found this hotel to be quiet and peaceful. The hotel smells amazing as soon as you walk in. The staff is so kind and accommodating and extremely genuine. While the rooms are small, it’s exactly what you need.

Blahhh stay
Stayed at this hotel with family and friends before leaving for our cruise. The room we stayed in had an ant issue. After making a complaint we were told the housekeeping staff was gone for the night. After another hour we couldn’t take it anymore once we saw the ants had max their way to the beds. We complained again and was moved to a room way on the other side of the hotel where we had to walk through a construction project to get to a from the room.

The Blue Moon Hotel was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do in South Beach. The staff was attentive, polite and very helpful. The hotel was clean, well maintained and a great place to stay. Even the dining was excellent. We were even allowed to stay an extra hour on our check out date while we waited to board our cruise.
I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.

The top of the toilet was on the sink when I got to the room. I later realized the toilet didn’t work at all. The floor tile in the bathroom was loose as well. Other than that, the stay was enjoyable. The service was great and the staff in the restaurant and bar were exceptional!

We liked it was close to the beach and night life. The hotel was pretty but the elevator was not working, the room was ok but bed not comfortable. When we arrived no one was at the front desk, which was a bit off putting. For breakfast we went to the restaurant. Our server was nice but didnt put in everyones order at once so we got it at different times. I would try a different hotel next time and defimitely a different breakfast spot
