The shower curtain was absolutely dirty. The shower in general needed a really good cleaning. Thd window curtains need to be cleaned or replaced. Bed was comfy. Was sheets and bedding were clean. Checked really good after seeing how the bathroom was. Its an older building but it doesnt meantl that it has to be dirty!

The hotel rooms we were given were very shabby. The sheets were stained yellow in spots. The sink counter had a crack. The second room we rented that night had trash left in it. The shampoo was almost empty. The staff were nice but the hotel itself was shabby. There was also a rude man who came in and was rude to the breakfast lady. He obviously wasnt a guest and it made me worry about the safety of the hotel.

Hampton Inn Sweetwater, Texas
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member named Summer. Check-in was quick painless. Once I arrived in my room, a text message was sent to me by Summer on behalf of Hampton Inn asking me if I need anything, and if I have any questions or concerns to please let her know and it would be taken care of. The hotel lobby and room was nice and clean and I had no questionsor concerns.
The next morning I was greeted by several staff members. Breakfast at the hotel was also very good.
Overall my stay was was excellent.

Decent stay
We stayed here for one night in a handicapped accessible room. The room was quite large, but a little devoid of furniture. Typically Hampton Inn's handicapped rooms have a sort of bench to put items on. This one did not have it. Just a desk, chair, TV chest, and a fridge/microwave chest. Room was also noisy (not entirely surprising being next to the freeway) and the bed did not meet Hampton Inn's usual comfort standard. Staff was VERY helpful, I was traveling with my mom and she had a small emergency that required EMS. It was a quick fix, but I appreciated the responsiveness of the staff in helping us.

I reserved two rooms for
my kids and received confirmation on both to check in on Saturday 8/3 leaving 8/4. One room was easy to check into and the other one (for my son, wife and kids) was not honored because they said it was booked through a 3rd party. It was a major headache for me and my son’s family. Doesn’t make since because we had the confirmation on both rooms. MAKE SURE I AM NOT CHARGED TWICE

We just used this as a quick one night stop, so for that reason, it was acceptable. The bathroom had a lot of hair on floor and in tub. Carpet looks dingy, furniture was beat up. Slept fine though and bed was comfortable.

The property was average for a chain hotel. Nothing terrible. The problem we had was the information provided to us before booking. Most parents know the hotel pool is a huge part of a kid’s vacation. Before booking, I called the hotel to confirm the pool was in open and to confirm the times. The rep said we could check-in late, the pool was in operation, and it was available to guests 24 hours a day. After traveling over 600 miles starting at noon, we arrived to a pool that was closed for repairs and would have closed at 10p anyway. I got to start my Father’s Day weekend with a huge dud and very disappointed kids. Hampton shouldn’t have lied to me. Going to be a while before I choose them again. The hostess was every nice, but couldn’t help us.

Maintenance Issues
The entry door had a gap 3/8” wide. The bathroom door would not close. The closet door would hang open and wouldn’t close. Breakfast was horrible. The sausage tasted horrible…reheated maybe? The bread was dry and old. When you’re driving all day you don’t want to be searching for a new room. We were offered a new room, but we were too exhausted to be changing rooms. The hotel should be responsible for checking the rooms condition before their guests come to stay. It’s definitely not done here.

I always stay at this hotel when we go visit my momma my only real complaint is i have severe asthma and the ac filters were so old and filled with dust. I did take care of that myself and i know they would have if i called the front desk there staff is by far some of the friendliest staff i have met in a hotel.

Good location, easy check in. Our room needed some updates. Paint in bathroom was peeling bad. Toilet was stained and wouldnt shut off. Door to bathroom had a large crack when you shut the door it did not fit into the door jam so you couldnt lock the bathroom.

This location seemed a bit run down and neglected. The toilet and faucet had rust stains and calcium build up. Bathroom walls were dirty. Carpets in hallways had stains and mud. Room had a mildew smell. Not at all what I was expecting from Hampton/Hilton. Corporate might want to do a surprise inspection, and then have a visit with the franchisee. On a positive note - the staff was super friendly and helpful!

Wonderful friendly staff. Great dinner recommendation and was able to accommodate a slightly early checkin.
The property is good and the staff does a nice job keeping it clean, etc., but there was some stuff that was a bit outdated. For example, there were a shortage of outlets, and several of them didn’t work. It’s a small thing, but so much is electronic based these days, it’s good to know. Otherwise, I’d say this is the place to stay.

The Hampton Inn at Sweetwater is great to stop at for the night if you are traveling, however, I would like to point out that the Expedia page says they are pet friendly to which they are not. They have a sign that says no pets allowed unless it is a service animal. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean but their policy for only cleaning a room when its requested (not automatically everyday) is iffy because our room wasn't fully cleaned in the bathroom.

The pool was nasty 🤮. Take better print in your hotel , when you have family’s that come to your hotel and that might be their only vacation and to get into that pool and hot tub is all they have … man very disappointed ☹️. Breakfast was great

Find another hotel
The place was a filthpit. Bugs in the room and bathroom. Bug leg on the bed. Fire alarm strobs were flashing our entire stay. The check in employee tried to be funny but was obnoxious. Fitness room was like a sauna and was out of wipes to wipe down the filty equipment. Filthy place.

The door to our room merry fully latched. HUGE safety issue. Then the AC until flooded the floor near bed so wonderful odor. The bathroom toliet was also running and broken so that topped it off. Overall staff was kind but unhelpful in any changes. Never stay again.

I only spent the night at the hotel, which was nice and clean. I made a mistake in booking, and the lady at the front desk took care of my problem immediately. Breakfast the following day was delicious, and they had staff constantly picking up trash and cleaning the area. I am thrilled with my stay, and if I ever need to, I will buy again.

they moved us three times before we found a room that the A/C and refrigerator both worked. This hotel needs to be updated wall paper was spliced and coming off the wall. The staff was excellent but the hotel needs work we won't stay here again.

Watch for your Honor points on all your rooms.
Hotel was too warm everywhere, had to run ac to cool room down to sleep. Honors rewards were an issue as one clerk said I couldn't get the points on the other 4 rooms I purchased, but another clerk next day fixed them all for me.

Disappointing Hampton Inn
This Hampton has oilfield clientele written all over it, which is fine, but that's what it is.
Oil stained carpet in hallways.
Towel rack fell off bathroom wall.
Clock was there but didn't work.
Shower handle couldn't dial in hot water timely.
Handicapped shower had no ridge, floor outside shower got wet.
Toilet was found to be clogged on first flush.
I got my rest and a shower and left.
At least there was hot coffee at 5am.
All Hampton Inn that I have stayed in over the years have been pretty decent. It's why I chose this one.

The toilet looked dirty didn’t like it. plus the front desk person lied to me about charging me 10 dlls, supposedly to see if my card was good. He had me sign the 10 Dll receipt saying that it was the signature where I was agreeing to the hotel being smoke free. I was tired and just didn’t want to argue. But that is the last time I will stay at that hotel.

The night we checked in was the night that the snow storm came and this young man was working so hard to get us all checked in and try to find us room! The place was over booked and there was no rooms available! But he tried his best to all got us in! The next morning the hotel closed the reservation that day and held the room for us to stay another night in case we can’t get out on the road that day! Kudos to all the staff!

Worn-out Hampton in Sweetwater
This is a rather worn-out hotel. Hallway carpeting is stained and worn; room walls are marked up; and elevators are slow and poorly cleaned. Also, we requested an accessible bathroom, and twice we were assigned rooms with shower baths.

We loved the indoor heated pool and hot tub.. Granddaughter cant wait to come back and stay long in Dec.for a couple of days for christmas at zoo and 2 days of just swimming. She is just now learning. Was a great to quick trip.

The water took about 10 minutes to heat up, and then was only partially warm. I understand that the building had some damages from the ice storm, but the very minimum people are looking for in lodging is a hot shower and a comfortable bed. These shortcomings should have been disclosed before we booked a room.
At least it was half right - the bed was comfortable, but we were overcharged considering the shower situation.
Also Expedia messed up our booking & Hampton Inn didn't see a room for us, so we had to spend half an hour on the phone straightening it out. Expedia also messed up billing for this room, so more time on the phone getting that undone.
So I am not thrilled with the hotel or with expedia to say the least.
