The place horrible never had a manager on duty to help and the staff just knew how to say I’m sorry we can’t help call Monday to speak to a manager. I reported animals in the room and bathroom. Do not stay on the place.

Last Stay At This Best Western
My wife and I travel very infrequently, her sister hosted our Thanksgiving Fest there in Atlantic Beach. I've never booked anything using Hotels.com, I have $150.00 worth of your gift cards, so when I made our reservation on line I thought I was reserving the room with my debit card then use the gift cards upon arrival for the partial payment. As we were checking in Robby was on the desk, and stated that our room had already been pre-paid by Hotels.com and I would be unable to use the Hotels.com gift cards at this time. So that was bad enough, but around 9:00 am, 11/24/23, Room 208-B, I was showering, slipped and fell in the tub, on the way down I grabbed the shower curtain, bending the shower rod, the non-skid surface of the bath tub has worn off over time and was smooth to the touch, my back was sore for about a week and it appears that I'm ok, so I'm not considering filing a complaint. My wife was just outside the door when I fell, took photos of the bent rod, absence of grab bar, and the worn down surface bottom of the tub. The carpet in our room had holes in it. The pool you had to go out the hotel and walk around the property to get access to the pool. The staff wasnt very friendly and acted like you were inconvenient for asking how to access the pool. The pool was relaxing and well upkept. The breakfast was a muffin as the oranges in florida was well past ripe. Which was shocking because florida oranges. Would not recommend especially when there are soooo many other hotels in the area.

Everyone was very friendly. The night before I was to check out, I left my phone in an Uber. The Uber driver returned my phone that same evening around 10:30 pm.
The next morning from the time I woke and for the next 4 hours I lost my ability to work or even leave because everything is in my phone. After 4 hours of stress I decided to ask the front desk if they had my phone. It was then the woman working said "oh yes, here is a note from the Uber driver. Then she proceeded to tell my I had 20 minutes to check out. Zero compassion of the problem. Then I found out that not only did the woman at the desk neglect to simply call my room or knock on the door to relay the message, the person that was at the desk the night prior refused to accept the phone from the Uber driver, he never bothered to attempt to inform me that my phone was there. We all know our phones are heavily attached to our lives. I found both employees to have complete disregard for me or the circumstance that caused my a great deal of stress. The woman at the front was equally insensitive to the situation because she had the ability to inform me first thing in the morning.
I will never stay at this property again.

The smell of cigarettes in the room was overwhelming. No I didn’t ask for non smoking room because the entire hotel is “non smoking “ (signs posted and clearly stated online) will never stay at a best western again. I can still smell it on my suitcase and clothes I didn’t wear.

The initial appearance seemed rundown. The hallway was dirty and smelled musty. They were broken blinds. The phone in our room did not work at all.

The lady up front was very nice and attentive to any needs. I can't remember her name but she had black hair and was very nice. I rated the property very high and it was probably the best hotel of the four nearby. But warning, I did start to get a lot of suspicious email after I gave the disc my email. To the owner, I think you have someone selling people's email addresses to third parties. But one bad employee doesn't mean I will not stay here again.

The floor was so dirty your feet turned black. The kids spilled water and when I dried it up the entire towel was brown and the employees claimed the carpets were cleaned. Obviously not. Workers in breakfast area very rude! Lots of homeless wondering through the parking lot. Phone absolutely disgusting! Curtains broken, lights broken.

Nice clean property friendly staff, the only reason I chose this hotel and not the hotel across the street was because they advertised a hot breakfast included. However on checking in they said that the hot breakfast was now going to be a grab and go bag, very disappointed. To add insult to injury when we came down to the lobby to pick up the grab and go bag the next morning at 9:20 there were no grab and go bags available as they stopped serving at 9:00. Purely false advertising and I’m never going back to this not so best western

The parking was onsite and easily available. The room was very clean, friendly staff and good breakfast options.
There is a horrible odor in the lobby/checkin area..strong smoke, covered with Lysol, wet dog kind of dampness smell. Once in the room, it was bit noticeable. It was noticeable again the next morning at check out.

On my experience on this Hotel unfortunately the bed mattress should be replaced it cause I couldn’t sleeping well.

The room was huge and clean. Very nice property. I disagree with charging for a late check out. I have never had to pay for that and it will definitely be a factor in staying here again if I need to check out later. $45.00 is ridiculous. Breakfast was okay... tolerable for sure, the staff was great.
Internet was great... had to work in the lobby since we could not do the late check out which was a huge problem.

Hotel looks newly renovated. Bed comfortable. Hotel is very near the beach only a few minutes drive. The room was clean and roomy but the beddings were stained and discoloration. They need to replace those and not use it anymore if its permanent. The hot breakfast was good but its a very small space. They ran out of a few stuff on our second day.

The room was very dirty and smelled of mold. There was a blood stain on one of the sheets also. The toilet paper did not have a new roll, rather the roll was left over that was used before...kinda creepy considering Covid. The remote had spaghetti sauce on it. Very disappointed.

We arrived on a hot Tuesday and were looking to rest and lounge by the pool. The pool was nasty. You could visibly see the dirt at the bottom and bugs floating in the top. Awful. It didn't get cleaned until late Wednesday afternoon. My kids could not even bear to swim because they didn't trust the cleanliness of the water. It was bluish green.

It was an exceptional stay. The front desk clerk Millie was very nice friendly and informative. Gave me information about the beach and parking. The room was very spacious we had a king bed. I plan on visiting the seafood festival in Jacksonville every year and we definitely plan on staying there

Great Clean New Hotel
This is a clean, modern and safe hotel. Staff was friendly and we had a view of the pond. We saw a duck, a cool bird and a couple of turtles right from our room. The only negative was no meat offered at breakfast. We would stay here again.

For the most part this hotel was good. The bed was really comfortable and it has a convenient location, with Atlantic Beach only minutes away. However, I wish they could have told me they were under construction. The room looked oddly empty, and the wall was messed up. There were also loud drill noises on the other side of our wall occasionally. However, the staff was really friendly and helpful. Overall, I would stay here again.

Great staff, but roof repairs are a noise issue
This was a nice hotel but we were unaware of roof repairs being done at the time of our stay, so we awoke to the sound of banging as the roofers had arrived by 8am. Aside from that the staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean! I would visit again after repairs simply because of the kind staff!!!

Very Clean, but no so much rest.
The hotel and room were clean and the service was excellent.
The only no so comfortable were the pillows, they were so little that we couldn't rest. Also the AC was leaking and making noises.
Hope that they take a look at these things, other than that it was nice.

Staff were friendly, our room had a bathroom wall that had crumbled, our bedroom wall had a piece of metal, 12x12 laying in the floor which left a gaping whole in the wall. We had to cover it with a foot rest that was in the room.

We visited as the Corona Virus was starting to affect Florida businesses. The staff was extremely professional, helpful and pleasant, especially in the face of a stressful situation. They were quick to make changes to make the hotel more secure. The room and amenities were very clean and modern. We will definitely stay at this location again!!!
