While the ocean view was truly amazing, unfortunately, the staff lacked friendliness, only one person assisting and took long to check in. The rooms were outdated and slightly overpriced. Additionally, there was no option for dining onsite, and the pool bar did not offer any alcoholic beverages.

Our rental was beautiful and had a kitchen - but no supplies. It is wasteful for every renter to purchase paper goods. We also had little to no internet. We called to alert them and they told us they would check the modem but we never heard from them. We also did not have cleaning services every day because they came so late in the day that we had already been out for most of the day and wanted to use our place.

I really liked this place. However, the only downside is there's no glasses plates cutlery in the kitchenettes. There is a fridge and microwave & dining area. The facility is beautiful and walking distance to Midway Cafe, Lazy Days, Papa Joe's

We enjoyed our stay at La Siesta. Very pretty views and much area on the beach for sun and fun! Had noisy neighbors above us. The resort fees were ridiculous to get smacked with. This was probably the most displeasing item. Just add it to the daily cost so there are no "hidden" fees.

Very nice but room is worn and could definately use some paint. Stayed in 303 and bathroom fixtures in shower were twisted and not functioniing well. Tub has rust breaking thru the floor of the tub. Staff however were amazing helpful and friendly and grounds were beautiful.

When we got to our room we noticed our shower as filthy! Lots of hair in the shower and the floor was very brown. They reminded the situation by upgrading us. Overall, it was a good experience.

Liked: comfortable bed, great view, peaceful, beautiful wade in pool, well kept grounds, free use of kayaks, A shower. Disliked: tv issues, mini fridge didn't have freezer, no real beach and lots of seaweed to wade threw. Pool at neighboring property was a distraction for our oceanfront room.

The property is the sister resort of Amara Cay. They are a 5 minute walk from each other but Amara Cay has a lot more to offer. There is no gym here, no real bar by the pool and no onsite restaurant. You can walk to the other resort to have these amenities though. We had to constantly ask for basic supplies for our 2 bedroom unit, which was annoying. We were told there was no ice machine and needed to buy a bag of ice, but had a small frig in the room that wouldn’t even hold it. The pool was drained the first 3 days we were there and we were promised a credit for the inconvenience but never got it. Our family booked a house on the property, which was advertised to accommodate more people than it could, so we all couldn’t stay together. Lastly, after all of that trouble, when we asked for a late checkout, we were all told no. Sean is the manager and we’ve tried to contact him and the resort regarding our credits but we have yet to get a response. If you like quiet and slow, this is the resort for you.

La Siesta is a perfect getaway for families with small kids. Our daughter loved the little beach area and the pool. We were a bit confused about the lack of dining onsite, since the website claimed there was a small restaurant, but it didn’t exist when we arrived. No explanation or acknowledgment was given by the staff either. We found that odd. The cleaning team took so long to get to our room throughout our stay we were usually already back from our day excursions when they wanted to come in and tidy up (3-5pm). Though, when they did come in, they did a great job. The room was spacious and comfortable me with a great view ( we booked an ocean view room). The bathroom has no fan, though, and when we tried opening the window to vent out some smells, an iguana almost entered the suite. Despite all the small hiccups, we really loved our stay and would choose La Siesta again. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the beach activities were easy to use and fun.

The hotel was very large and clean. The property has a lovely beach area to sun bathe on, free use of Kayaks and paddle boards. The location for Sunrise is amazing! Cute fire pit and nice pool. Dock allowed for good fishing. Wish more dining was available and housekeeping was knocking at our door at 8:45am for 11am check out. I understand they want to turn over the rooms but they literally waited outside our room until we left, which made us feel rushed. Close to restaurants and lots of things to do in the area. We will be going back.

The room was a bit dirty, outdated and the plumbing was loose and leaky!
Furniture scratched and old! Bathroom window didn’t lock, little scary!
They asked if they could get us anything but when I asked they couldn’t deliver either so I had to go out to get simple hotel items that are usually readily available in room service or front desk!
The pool was freezing and there was no bar available and the bar kitchen was sketchy.
The whole scene/vibe craved a better manager and team of professionals!
The morning we checked out, the sign on the window door claimed front desk opened at 7:30 or 8 am I can’t be certain now and I was there and waited and no one showed up, even an employee walked up and turned around and walked away, said nothing! I texted a few times the usual way that they corresponded, but that too came to a halt. I guess we were leaving so no need to complete our stay with pleasantries.
We went to the sister resort to swim and have cocktails.
La Siesta has beautiful grounds and beach though!
But the price/night was robbery, we will pay the prices, that being said, we too have travel expectations from our experiences!
We do wish them well!

Beautiful views. I wish the pool was heated! It was too cold for us adults, but not too cold for the kids (we went over Christmas). Paddleboard & kayak rentals were awesome!! Not much on the property in terms of dining/drinks. Small poolside cafe that is intermittently staffed. Housekeeping came intermittently as well, but we were there over Christmas so I assumed understaffing, but it didn’t really matter to us, as we didn’t spend much time in the room. Close to a lot of cool attractions like Theater of the Sea & shops, short drive to the Turtle Hospital. You have access to 2 other resorts, Amara Cay & Postcard Inn (we didn’t get to try it as it’s under renovation). Overall, I would return, our kids loved it!

Bugs in the first room and had to move. Second room was big, but an odd layout and one of the doors didn't lock, and only received maid service for one of four nights. Walls were also pretty thin. There wasn't a ton of occupancy, but you could hear most of the noise in nearby rooms.

Phone in the room did not work - texted for a shuttle and no reply. There are lights outside of the room hanging that should be pot lights. Staff block the door when we are trying to check out and did not move. The shower was dirty, and the bedsheets had sand in them before we even got in. A beautiful spot - but needs some other work.

Hotels/Expedia Fumble!
I wouldve given a 4 star, but Hotels.com was neglectful in reminding customer that the weekend 12/8 to 12/10 there would be a marathon run , and La Siesta would be the start/finish race pt. I came to relax at a resort inn. Not deal with a 8a.m and 7a.m wakeup call respectively (both which started half hour earlier). What a nerve wrecking wakeup experience! Wonder if booked directly on LaSiesta, this info would've been repealed prior to reservation. I tried to relay this to Hotels.com, but there staff are insignificant puppets, who have no responsibility or say in how or how to change the reservation. Hotels.com was no help. I will stop using them and close the account. Their BBB reviews is 1 out of 5, which coincides and reflects in how they help customers.
I will say the value received for the room was not bad, but not 5 star. The blinds in my room were torn, allowinng light in a.m to shine thru, waking me. Also, ironically the mirror has a logo reminding folks of water conservation, but it had a constant drip. Hence 4 star! I would give La Siesta anither try, but Hotels.com /Expedia no!

The room was good. Small bathroom. It was an event that the hotel didn’t advised us. Result, very early in the morning there was hundreds of people walking through the hotel beach (and through my window) also a very noisy music.
Couldn’t enjoy the hotel amenities because of this,.. they allowed us to use their sister property (5 min away) but other experience… not nice 😔

So, I was pretty excited to stay here as I've stayed here in the past and it was great. This time was a bit different. We got there early at about 12:45 and our room wasn't ready. No big deal at all, check in isn't until 3. We were told that as soon as our room was ready they would call me. We came back at 3:00 and roamed around the grounds for a while waiting to get our room so we could change and use the facilities. Finally at 3:30 I went in to check and they said our room was ready and had been for a while. I asked why no one called and the new person at the desk had no idea I had even left a number to call.
Next, we got in to our room and the toilet would not stop running and it was super loud. Again, no problem, I tried fixing it but couldn't so I immediately stopped at the desk to inform them. They said someone would be right up to fix it. No one ever came so again at 7:00 I told them and again, they said someone would be up while we went to dinner.
Came back and it's still broke, now it's after 9:00 and we just wanted to go to bed. Toilet was so loud it kept waking us up.
At checkout the next day I again told them and the response was "sorry about that, sign here for the $40 resort fee." Thanks.
I fully expect this sort of thing at a $100 a night hotel but if I'm paying $500 a night, this shouldn't happen. Next time, I'm spending the extra $100 and staying at Cheeca Lodge. Service and accommodations are worth the little extra.

La Siesta was a great stay. I was so impressed as there aren’t too many pictures online. The pool is great and the staff are so friendly. The facilities are super cute and everything is close by. The beach bungalows looked adorable. Also our rooms were very large.

Super big rooms, several with ocean view.
We had an issue with the bed, but it got fixed immediately.

Beach front was super nice. The room wasn’t clean, the floor was super dirty. We’re a family of 5 and we needed the sofa bed, but we couldn’t use it because you can feel the springs so bad. The sofa bed was useless.

2nd time going to La Siesta, and let me tell you that both times it was very relaxing! They have paddle boards and kayaks as well as bikes to enjoy. Be prepared to do some groceries before you go or to leave the resort for food, as the food options in the resort are very limited and not included with the stay. However, we did not mind doing groceries before going, so the experience for us was incredible!

I've stayed here in the past and I always get the oceanfront. It's worth your money to have Adirondack chairs on a balcony with nothing but ocean in view and lapping water.
The grounds are well-kept. The accommodations are nice. Bed is comfortable, suite is spacious with nice decor and a kitchenette and good water pressure.
There are details that could be addressed like some broken fixtures and a sandy floor, but for the laid-back Keys, this place is very good!

I like this property. It's beautiful and in a great location. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. Found out upon my arrival, that they raised the rate for boat dockage to $150 per night. Yes you read that right, $150 per night. Doesn't matter the size of the boat. After that great news i was informed that my boat slip would be on the ocean side. I requested a slip on the inside of the cove. I was told that all of the slips were fully booked. Funny thing is, the 3 days that i was there I didn't see a single boat parked in any of these slips. Really left a bad taste in my mouth, especially after I found out that i was paying $150 a night.

The hotel services did not meet my expectations.
The food and bar service have very limited hours and there are no nearby places that help to overcome this problem. Furthermore, breakfast is not offered.
Cleanliness is adequate and rooms are comfortable. Walking through the patio is difficult due to the accumulation of water from rain.

I would like to give a 1 star review to this property this time because they changed to Mandy things around they charge for everything you are not allow to cook or to have a grill you can not put music around the pool but the only put music for 1 hour they tried to find me for 250 dollar for no reason very poor place to eat overall it’s a nice place but with to my rules and we go there to eat to relax and to enjoy we shouldn’t be upset

This was our first time staying here and it definitely won’t be the last. The pool is made for everyone, even the little ones. The bar is a little pricey for already-made drinks like seltzers and beers but still, very convenient. I feel like there’s also rooms for families of all budgets also. There’s a nice variety of rooms depending on what view you choose and the size of the family. They also welcome guest to come visit for the day in case you have family that is near by. I really enjoyed it. And I will definitely come back and invite all my family to book a room.

Absolutely amazing! What a hidden gem. Got to use other properties and go pool hopping. Wish there was drinks/food on premises but we truly enjoyed! They were very willing to accommodate a late check out since it was available which we know is not always the case.

The rooms and cleaning service were not good. The outside walkway lights were out, so the steep stairs down were totally dark and dangerous. I reported it each day from Thursday - Sunday. Was told they had to get the tool needed to fix it. Renovations are definitely needed.

Had an amazing stay here with my family of 5. The staff was extremely accommodating and super friendly! The rooms and suites were spacious and clean. Also many complimentary resort activities, including a scavenger hunt, bike rentals, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards and beach yoga. An extra bonus was that we were able to use the amenities at all their sister properties on the island as well.
Everything was really great but the staff there is what really made our vacation there exceptional!!

The shower was the only highlight! Pictures are not always true! The room was dirty, items not functioning and obvious. The bar was a joke and the bartender was not interested in anything certainly not helping. Ohh no liquor license, J the shuttle driver was the best part of the trip! I found the whole place dirty and no one seemed happy!

After paid 450 US dollars for slip for my bote I find out the no have fresh water and house for boating that is negative for the boat you need water no only to clean the bote is you have to for fish to in case you have good day and have some fishes y tell then but the justifies that after the new company take the hotel, they decide to take it away, the water hose, and the breakfast

The property would is good if you plan on fishing. The rooms and property are nice. That’s all it has to offer.. Security likes to harass guests for no reason at all. Front desk staff was rude when I asked why someone was banging on my door at 7am.. Very limited amenities for a resort, I wouldn’t recommend nor would I ever stay at this place again. Amara Cay is a much nicer and friendlier sister resort with a lot more to offer.
