Housekeeping women, forget without guest they don't get paid. They were not accommodating or friendly. Front desk women were Awesome, friendly, nice. Mini Mart loved it convenient. Breakfast was so great and very nice people. It's an old comfortable hotel with history that are local friendly. Please don't loose that. Give your housekeeping women lessons on being more friendly, smile if a guest conversates don't be rude or at least smile back. People won't bite.

It was fine but for the amount I paid for one night and parking wasn’t included blew my mind. 300.00 total from 4-11am isn’t worth it again. Good luck to the future of this property. Plus I’m from a neighboring island and kamaina rates didn’t mater. Not even advice on where to park for free.

Stay away!
This place is a total dump, the rooms haven’t been updated since the Reagan era, are dirty and stained and the place deals of urine. Not to dismiss the area surrounding this place has walking zombies, you probably don’t want to leave your room after dark. Throw in the staff’s total apathy towards guests, hidden fees of $65! I warn you to go anywhere else.

This is a very dated property, the street noise statrs 4am each day with garbage track backups up alarm.
There is nothing good as a resort but there still a resort charge with another $31 daily parking fee. The breakfast is not worth the money.
However, the location is good, walking to mall and beach just minutes away.
Staff is very slow both checking in and out. It took more than 15 minutes to figuring out my parking fee.

This is an older property in a great location. They have a unique $5 breakfast menu with several choices for people who stay a week like us. You could have a different breakfast every morning. The parking can be difficult at times. We would return to the Pagoda.

Overall, not bad.The room rate plus $33 are a bit $$$ if you ask me. They clean the room every 4 days. The services are not there. We always at the front desk every night asking for what we need. Parking fee for the guest should be less than $29 . I guess you got what you pay.

I like that it is next to Wal-Mart, Ala Moana and close to a lot of eateries. The Breakfast was on point, always love getting Fried Rice and Portuguese sausage in the morning, Breakfast of Champions!
All together no complaints and the staff is always super friendly

The location was okay. If you're looking for a place to stay that's not too far from the downtown business , this is a great place. The room was spacious , clean and quiet.The staff was friendly and helpful.The breakfast was great for a low price. My only hang up is that the hotel rooms need a tune up very badly. For the price I paid , I expected a more modern room . It felt like I was in a cheap hotel. Please update the rooms on things like decor and televisions. There was a PlayStation 2 in the room to play DVDs on. I didn't know people still used DVDS. Other than that, pretty good stay.

This property was NOT as pictured. Bathroom was small and smelly, with visible mold on the shower curtain. The bed sheets were as thin and uncomfortable as airport toilet paper. Not super happy with the room or stay overall.

I would not stay here again
Checking in was kind of cold. After checking in we were told there was a $29 fee for parking - surprise. Parking was 3 blocks away if you couldn't fit in their tiny parking lot. It didn't feel safe. The tub was stained. The bed was hard as well as the flat pillows. Cleaning was every 5th day. They also charge for wifi. I paid $30 a day for that "free"wifi. They did not care and stated every charges for parking and amenities in Hawaii. The walls were thin. Garbage came banging around 6:30 a.m. and there is construction next door that is loud. I would not stay here again.

Pros: friendly staff, late checkout available, breakfast coupons for $5, great location. It’s a ‘budget’ hotel for HI standards, so it’s quite simple not a lot of comforts.
Cons: carpet smelled strongly of pee in my room, and there was construction across the street so it was loud early in the a.m.

There was little privacy. You could hear everything that was going on in the next roomsincluding Conversations, one night the guest was sick and vomiting. The windows were not sound proof so even when they were closed you could everything going on out side. Very busy and noisy area including homeless out on the street screaming and making noise

Noisy, unsafe and unkept
There’s major construction next door that starts super early. It was as clean as a regular cleaning could get an unkept building, but it doesn’t feel as clean. The condition of the place is subpar. Staff were kind and helpful. It also seems a place people party at, we had a couple noisy ‘neighbors’, we called the front desk and were moved further from them. The area also didn’t feel safe - while we were leaving to get dinner, a guest was sharing they had just tried to mug them. I would not stay here again unless I was desperate.

This hotel is just really bad!
Everything is just bad!
Smell, rooms are old and smells musky and old ,very strong smoke smell , beds are uncomfortable, parking is terrible! I checked out the very next morning and checked into the Alamoana hotel which was the SAME PRICE!!

The bathroom was dirty, and the beds were super uncomfortable. The pillows honestly felt like a sack of sawdust. Pool hours were short. Breakfast was the only highlight of the stay.

I very much like their restaurants and menus. The daily breakfast menu is awesome and the staff there were really nice, friendly and accommodating.
The things I didn't like: The room on floor 5th that I stayed at really need an upgrade. and there bugs in the morning and evening on the sinks.. Also, I didn't like their rule of housekeeping every 4th day..

Convenient Honolulu Hotel
Older hotel, but very clean with helpful and friendly staff. Location is good with plenty of restaurants nearby. Both Ala Moana Mall and Queens Medical Center are within walking distance as well as Ross and Walmart. Amenities included microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron, a safe and a swimming pool.

Check in was quick and easy. Parking is $29 per night in unsecured lot. Street parking available until 7am. Breakfast was available for $5 with coupon but didn’t use it. There is a sundry store and video rental in lobby. Daily newspaper. Elevator requires your room key. Quiet. Rooms are dated but hotel has history on Oahu. Feeding koi at no cost is free. Air conditioning was stuck on high and cold but we were fine with the extra blanket available. Location is very convenient and we would stay here again

Pogoda Hotel is off CBD (Waikiki) so it's a lot quieter and potentially more affordable than those in CBD hotels. Parking is $29 / day, roughly half of private parking garages in CBD. Parking spot is abundant but usually pretty close to fully occupied in late evenings if you arrive back to the hotel late. Staff is friendly and easy to work with. Amenities fees at $30/day is too much considering most of the guests don't need that at all. Also, the hotel building and rooms are very dated, not the cleanest or newest and walls aren't that sound proof, but they are price appropriate.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They felt like family. But the physical condition of the property was awful, especially the bathroom. Tiles were cracked, mold and mildew. I didn't want to touch the walls, they were so dirty. The staff were trying to make us guests feel comfortable.

I think this is one of the most popular hotels for Micronesians because of the great customer service and it's proximity to popular shopping hubs like ROSS, TARGET, WalMart, and Ala Moana. They're all within walking distance or a very short cab ride. Staff are also very accommodating and helpful, even in the wee hours of the morning. This eases the check-in process and stress on their customers.

The Pagoda Hotel is near Ala Moana Center, Park and Beach. I could walk to any of these locations easily. The room was clean and included a microwave and a refrigerator. There is a small pool which I enjoyed. Street noise woke me up early with heavy truck sounds.
The staff was friendly and always helpful. The price is budget friendly. I can recommend this hotel.

It was great to have the elevators with key access to floors. Added security is a plus. Parking does not connect to building of the hotel, so you need to get back to the main entrance to access the elevators

The hotel had a horrible cockroach infestation. I killed about 16 a night and found them on the silverware, toilet seat, etc. Also had a moldy substance blowing from the air conditioner into the room so found black flakes on bedspread every day. I felt trapped with a non refundable rate.

This hotel needs to do routine maintenance. My room had a gap around the sprinkler head pipe that was very large. There was some fruit pieces sitting on the fire extinguisher box by the elevator on my floor. Things like that.

The room was big and bed comfortable, but the property is quite dated and the AC very loud, requiring me to sleep with earplugs. We were also woken up at 6am by major construction noise for a new build right outside our window, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere at the time of booking. I made a complaint to the front desk but they didn’t take any action and we had the same issue the next morning, and didn’t get much sleep throughout our stay. The restaurant staff on the other hand was super friendly and the breakfast deal was great.

From the moment I walked in to the Pagoda hotel, I knew I was in for a treat! The lobby had a lovely damp and stale smell to it, which the font desk employees attitude perfectly matched. The employee seemed very concerned for my vehicle, letting me know it would be $29 a night for parking and that I’d never find free parking elsewhere. Navigating the hallway to my room, I could tell I was in an historic building. I loved how it appeared nothing had been updated in several decades, only adding to the properties historic vibe. Walking into the room, the theme continued. Two large and very sturdy 1970-ish chairs stood out. Immediately, I was transported back to my great great great grandmothers living room, the nostalgia was real. While, unfortunately, the stale, damp smell dissipated when I entered, my nose was met with another delightful scent, that of mold and dirt. I walked briskly to the AC unit, which despite heavy rust, did work well. I ventured into the bathroom, determined to find where the sweet aroma of mold was coming from. It was of course, in the ceiling of the shower. Not to fear though, the shower head sits about nose level to most average height men, thus preventing too many mold spores entering your nasal cavity. This also seemed well thought out, as - if you don’t have a cramp in your neck from sleeping in their dated spring beds with inch-thick pillows - Pagoda ensures you’ll get one bending over to take a shower.

THERE ARE BEDBUGS HERE! they moved me rooms after i found one and there was more evidence of bed bugs in my second room (poop and blood marks on the corner of beds UNDER the cover they put on the boxspring specifically to try and cover up their problem. security came to my room once i called about the bug. i was then accused by security of bringing the bedbug with me from somewhere as if there aren’t multiple reviews with problems with bedbugs for this hotel (i didnt see that prior to booking) … extremely rude and i hadnt even left the hotel room prior to that…basically this hotel ghetto. good location but they need to tear the thing down and get new owners the current workers obviously know theres a problem and are not taking proper steps

Pictures are far from reality (particularly the pool area), construction works starting at 6am with useless windows, when it says parking available they fail to mention that it’ll cost you 25USD/day… it ended up to be a rip off compared to the initial promise.

During check in we found that beds were not made and a crib with kids toys was sitting between two beds. The garbage cans were full of garbage from the previous customers. Dingy, dirty, stinky diapers with feces in it were in the room. The fears smell was horrible. Took pictures and went to the front desk. They apologized and gave us another room which was moderate and appears to be clean but it was hard to believe that they replaced the bed sheets with clean and washed sheets. No house Keeping came to clean the room and replace dirty towels with clean ones. However, we decided to check out a day earlier. Didn’t want to stay longer in that place.

The hotel is okay the staff are nice but if you are going to see the koi fish the area needs more water and opened up. It used to be beautiful with healthy fish but it looks like they are trying to conserve water and it is unhealthy for the fish. Please fix this.

Great value, but VERY dated
Overall, it's a good hotel that is VERY dated, ready for a renovation 20 years ago (really). Everything works, staff are really nice and breakfast is terrific, so the actual stay was trouble-free. Great value, especially for the kitchenette units. In addition to everything being dated, which i could tolerate, there was a whiff of mildew-like odor whenever we entered the room, which I could not get past. Not sure if it's from the A/C, old carpets, or something else, but that's one thing the hotel should absolutely fix. I would give it a rating of 8 for value, but can't give it above a 7 because of the smell.

Uber ride from the airport on a Friday evening was about $30. Check in was great. Rooms fair but there was leftover soap from the previous guest in the tub. There was a fire alarm one evening and the next night I was in the middle of my shower and the water stopped for about an hour. $500 for a three night stay and a few unfortunate events.

Awesome stay at Pagoda Hotel
Its our 1st time staying here. We're originally locals that moved away. While visiting the islands every yr, usually stay in Waikiki. However, I find Pagoda to be a better choice. I even held a bday party for my granddaughter, her 1st one back 1990s. Anyways, front friendly very helpful. Maid took good care of rm if we needed xtra towels, very friendly. Special breakfast cpn $5. was awesome. Over all, definitely will be our #1 hotel to stay on our next visit

It takes four days before cleaning the room. Rubbish in the room starts piling up! The rate is exorbitant for the kind of services the hotel offers! There is a fee for almost everything (like wifi and baby pool).
