The rooms and dining were amazing! Staff were amazing also. Only issue was parking garage that didn’t feel the safest with the individuals hanging out outside of it.

Hotel and room were clean and comfortable.
We stayed for 4 days, and reported daily that our TV was not working. Nothing was done. The phone in the room was disconnected. There is only one small lift for guests and staff which leads to lengthy delays.
Staff at the front desk were difficult to deal with.
Would not recommend this hotel.

Decent but not my favorite. Windows dont open facing ocean and palm trees blocked view of ocean if on 2nd floor. You need to be on 3rd floor, for better view. Hotel has potential just wasn't as clean as it could be in the common area. Floors were sticky when stepping on them with a funky smell. Needs to be aired out. Bartenders at bar never acknowledge me while standing there to order so i just walked away. Breakfast food was served warm and tasted good but coffee tasted weak and not hot. It's the little details that matter. In my opinion staff needs to be managed better.

The hotel is in a great location for walking in South Beach. Very clean, friendly staff. You don't need a car but if you drive to the hotel there is a parking garage within a 3 minute walk.

Front desk lady was literally the rudest customer service person I’ve ever met and the entire system was down so we didn’t even get a room key. Elevator smelled disgusting and no convenient parking. Luckily we only stayed for 1 night. We will never be back. Better places to stay in south beach.

Property is nice but felt it was over priced for what it was. Parking is limited. No ramp to be able to wheel suitcases in the hotel. Bad smell in the elevator. Felt nickel and dimed at this hotel. Restaurant was very good- food was great, I was disappointed that the tip was automatically included in my bill and I didn’t know it after leaving my server a generous cash tip. I only realized after I asked for a printed receipt.

Christmas stay
Clean , nice and cozy. Requesting a late check out was a bit difficult. Stayed on Christmas eve and Christmas day. Night shift said i had to aak morning shift if late checkout for 1 more hour was up to morning shift. A bit confusing for a guest. Over all great hotel

This is one of the best hotel and the front desk person Alexander is awesome. Overall great experience for family with kids. I highly recommend this place as it’s convenient to beach, parking and restaurants as well.

Could be better!
The staff are friendly enough and the hotel is well located, on ocean drive, so in the centre of all the hustle and bustle of the historic centre of Miami Beach.
My complaint with the hotel relate to the mediocre breakfast served, and minimal in room housekeeping offered.
Breakfast was included in the price of the room, and is served in the restaurant which overlooks ocean drive, and I presume it has been outsourced to an independent operator. The staff are nice and friendly, but the menu offered is so basic it beggars belief. I took the scrambled eggs and bacon, which comes with either a cup of drip coffee OR a glass of apple juice. I doubt there was more that ONE scrambled egg, along with 3 pieces of crispy streaky bacon and a small spoon of fried potatoes. Anything else has to be paid for as an extra.
Housekeeping was as minimalistic as the breakfast, the bed was made, and a bath mat was changed - but that was it! I spilt coffee on the top sheet on the first morning, and while it was super obvious, the sheet was unchanged for the whole visit, the trash bin was not emptied, the towels were not changed and nothing was cleaned in the bathroom (glass shelves / shower doors etc). There was sand on the bedroom floor, which I felt every-time I got out of bed.
It’s a shame they are not focused on the details because serving a better breakfast might cost them a few dollars, and the housekeeping could be improved so easily!

They could do much better.
As soon as you enter the restaurant on the first floor, you can smell a musty smell.
The air conditioning was so noisy that it is difficult to sleep, and you can see that the air conditioning outlet has accumulated very, very much dust.
There was an alarm clock in our room, and it went off at 6AM!!! No way to sleep! The housekeeping staff could have turned off all the alarms so as not to disturb the next guest, but they didn't seem to care about it.
There is no door security bar.
The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to south beach and right next to the parking lot, but nothing else.

We found the listing on Expedia quite snazzy but weren’t impressed with the actual. We stayed in the Courtyard King room that was near the elevator and it was rather noisy every morning. The bathroom was stylish but lacked space on which to place anything down. The main room had no chair or table. But the hotel is convenient to the beach and dining and shopping. We didn’t realize the hotel was under the ownership of Gloria Estefan until we spoke with the staff. With this in mind, we expected a little more. But we adore the singer and her chart topping hits.

The hotel is in a walkable area, lots of hotels, restaurants and bars nearby, it's also directly across the street from the beach. However room was very noisy, from the AC unit to the people in the rooms next door and the hallway. Also the bathroom was incredibly small and awkward to maneuver.

The hotel is an excellent location, across from the beach. There are many restaurants and bars in the area, parking garage close by as well. Hotel doesn't really have a lobby area. Our shower door was broken - couldn't open it. We asked many times but it was not repaired. It was hard to squeeze through the small opening to take a shower.

The stay was ok. This hotel is not the cleanest, I found hairs in the bed sheets, and a big in one of the towels. Not ideal. There was also a reasonable amount of dust in the corners of the room and so if you have allergies, this place may not be the best option.
That being said, the staff were great; very friendly and helpful people. The location is also fantastic.
It’s just a shame the hotel rooms themselves were much lower in quality than I expected, based on the online images and therefore not worth the price. The breakfast is also very disappointing.

My husband and I have been to Miami several times and stayed several places. I must say the the Cardoza for me was better then staying at the Besty! The room was clean, cozy, updated and I even smelled bleach and with that being said the room was disinfected. The front desk Mr Alexander was soooooo nice and also accommodated us with an early check in. He was so professional and courteous. He even held our bags when we check out because we had a late flight. The food was good and the prices were decent, I must say they could add some more options on the menu. I love the safety feature with the elevator. If you don’t have a card to the room the elevator won’t move. When I go back that is definitely my to go place. Thank you Cardoza for the hospitality. We will be back God willing🙏

The room I had was a king size ocean view on 2nd floor and was a nice size room and bed. There was no chair in the room to sit on, and no coffee machine which is standard. The bathroom was pitifully small and I could barely turn around without keeping my arms by my side. Not one spot to put toiletries. The front desk staff were stiff and cold. There is no one to greet you at “valet parking” sign. I would never stay here again.

The hotel had a sewage like ordor when you walked in the front door and on the floors it smelled like mildew. Also the ice machine was not working on the third floor so I had to go to the second floor to get ice.

Me and my fiancé came for a 3 day trip here, and we were first greeted by Constantine a lovely lady, she was very polite and showed us everything we needed to know and was very generous with any questions we had, excellent customer service, the rooms were spacious and the area right next to the beach makes it even more better, we are very happy we came and we will for sure be coming back again

Beautiful hotel with a restaurant and bar that we kept coming back to. Food was delicious and service was amazing! The cafe was also perfect, coffee, cortaditos, and dole whip in a whole pineapple if you like! Amazing price and location. Across the street from the beautiful beach. Walking distance to everything you need. Do not miss out on this place!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Cardozo. We plan to come back.
The Cuban food was good and the drinks were even better. The room was small but cleaned daily. The location is perfect for shopping, eating and right across from the beach. The staff is great and there is live music.
My only complaint would be the receptionist, who is an older Hispanic lady. She was rude during check-in, asking what was wrong and why I was making a face. I was trying to understand the rules and regulations that she had me sign off on. This was my second encounter with her. Before then, I had called to make a simple change on my reservation and she was short and bothered by my phone call. All the other male and female receptions were helpful and polite/inviting.

Just came in to see the Bronco game and stayed one night before. The hotel was right across the street from the Ocean and was a nice location. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The location is excellent which a lot of bars and restaurants nearby. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good. The room was clean but very plain (no artwork on the walls). The blinds had to remain closed due to an ugly alley outside the window.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check in with my 2 dogs was smooth. The room was nice and clean. Inside the hotel, but not in the rooms was a smell though. At first I thought it smelled like old smokey las vegas hotel rooms, but then I thought it was maybe mold/mildew? Anyway, other than fear of inhaling fungal spores, our stay was great. We love the location. Parking was pretty convenient as it is a lot next door to the hotel.

The only reason that we couldn't give this property and excellent score was for a few minor things. Parking is rough but what you would expect for a busy city area. $42 for valet and $25 for the public garage. We used valet. There is no luggage assistance and no luggage rack to use. .House keeping was a bit skimpy on the towels but the room was very clean only 1 facecloth & hand towel although they did provide 2 bath. so we had to ask for more. Also they didn't replenish our shower gel so we had to call for more. I would think that a checklist would rectify this. We also witnessed a female manager yelling at one of the bartenders out in the open and as a guest we found this to be super unprofessional she should have taken him behind closed doors. She didn't seem to interact with the guests at all. But the staff was top knotch and super friendly. The hotel was super pretty offered a fantastic location right across the street from the beach and walking distance a million restaurants bars and shops. Great location in the heart of the art deco district of South Beach. The restaurant coffee shop and bar at the hotel were also fantastic. Gloria and Emilio Estefan who are the owners of the hotel were there on our first night celebrating her 66 birthday in the restaurant with their family. That was pretty cool. If you are looking for a lively place to stay that screams the Latino South Beach Experience like we were, this is your place. We would definitely stay again.

It is a nice looking property, but needs better management. Our TV didn’t work and wasn’t fixed despite daily complaints during our 7 night stay. We got fresh towels and the bed was remade (not fresh linens) but that was the extent of the cleaning. The sewer stench in the elevator was unbearable… we had to take the stairs every day. The list goes on.

My partner and I love the boutique hotels (somewhat more than big chains) as they tend to have more charm & personality. Cardozo hotel did not disappoint! The staff was super charming & accommodating which definitely amplified our stay. Being right across from the beach, and right down the block from lit attractions like Palace Bar....it was an unbeatable stay.

Loved our visit to Cardozo. The front desk staff was wonderful and very friendly. Free breakfast options at the restaurant downstairs which we took advantage of 3/4 mornings of our stay. The sausage was so good! Only downside was no parking.. The parking garage directly behind the hotel charges $20 per day and gets closed due to max capacity on the weekend. Not so bad but just a heads up! Room was clean and the perfect size for us. A little noisy at night but we turned the bathroom fan AC fan on and it drowned out most of it.

It smells bad in the hotel, like sewage. And the air unit leaked so bad it made a puddle from one side of the room the the other. We were given towels to “fix” the situation ! There were long black hairs in the sheets, as well as on the couch and in our shower ! It was nasty. In the morning we woke up to the sound of water dripping! The ceiling started to leak after a rainstorm ! All the towels they gave us to fix the first puddle from one leak were completely drowned from the second leak. It was awful.

The hotel is in a great spot. All the properties around there are on the older side. I walked in and smelled a weird smell. My partner told me that's an old hotel smell. I got use to it after a while. The room was nice, the bathroom was small and we did like the shower. The floor did have sand particles, but that's ok since the beach is literally across the street. There is a ceiling fan, when it is on low there is not noise, but turn it higher it makes a scratching sound. We had coffee in the coffee shop in the hotel which was tasty. We had a lunch in the hotel and Miracle was fantastic! She was very caring.

Great weekend stay.
We stayed one night. This is a boutique hotel and not a big resort but we enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing. Very helpful and caring. Great location within walking distance of everything. There was always entertainment on the patio from DVj mucus to live bands. The rooms are small but comfortable. The only issue was that the toilet was wedged between the shower and a wall making it a little hard to take care of business. We are average size and I would guess this would be more challenging for some bigger guests. Other than that a great stay. We would stay here again.

Nice hotel right on Ocean Drive. Parking garage is right next door and only cost $20 per day, which is pretty cheap for South Beach. Rooms were clean, beautiful bathroom. the only problem was no darkening curtains at all, so be ready for that sun fully shining in at 6 am. Our reservation was for 4 person, still they only gave us breakfast for 2, which did not make any sense. Staff very nice and helpful. Offered us 2 bikes too, but again that is pointless if you are a family of 4.

We couldn’t sleep at all!! This is not at hotel to have a relaxing time. The walls are way to thin our neighbors had the tv on until 5 in the morning and the staff couldn’t do much about it. We ended up going to another hotel.
