This is not a fancy place, though the very reasonable price includes breakfast, and there is an indoor swimming pool and access to a computer. The bed was comfortable, and the staff courteous. It's the best value for the money in the Quad Cities, as far as I know.

Best Western hotels are independently owned, so you never know what you are going to get. Only half of the front door was working during our stay...not a great first impression. Our room was neat and clean but had a musty smell, probably because it was next to the pool room which had lots of dust bunnies and window condensation. Breakfast was a meager selection and even worse on the second day. Some room doors wrre left open so we saw construction and what appeared to be a long-term squatter based on the smell. There was also some sort of military unit staying and thumping around in gear; they were disappointed in breakfast too.
If you only plan to sleep here, it's a good price. But if you have kids and need to be around for breakfast, naps, and the pool, then look elsewhere.

My room was on second floor and there is no elevator. I’m not sure this is legal with the Disability Laws. I needed transportation to the airport (2 miles away). Blizzard conditions were happening and was told I’d have to walk to the bus terminal. Fortunately I was able to Lyft my way.

The front desk attendent also served as the chef and the cleaning staff. He came to fill the eggs warmer with his winter parka on. I question the cleanliness. The breakfast was disappointing. Very limited. Coffee watered down. Eggs rubbery. They were supposed to serve breakfast until 9:30. We went down at 9:20 and it was completely cleaned up. The hotel in general needs updating.

As a diabetic, breakfast was not up to standard. The eggs were watery and had a gross texture. There was nothing else to really choose from for me to eat! Hotel was great until the morning of 1/10/24. I was woken up by knocking on doors at 415 in the morning.

2 pairs of shoes were stolen from this hotel when I questioned the front desk person he seemed annoyed I would sleep on the street before I sleep in a establishment that steals from it's customers

Safe and clean
We booked the room last minute on a cross country trip. Very friendly staff with a quick check in and pleasant morning staff upon check out. Hot breakfast and safe surroundings. We would stay here again!

The positive reviews are fake. This place is a dump. Very poor maintenance. Smelly. Mouldy.
The acrylic signs that indicate the room numbers…broken and the number is written on the wall with a marker. Mattresses are torn.
I didn’t see any bedbugs fwiw. I left without spending the night.

Comfortable, clean and great service!
We were very comfortable - the bed was amazing! Since there is no elevator and two in our party of four are handicapped, I requested ground-floor rooms and the reservation clerk said he’d do his best. When we arrived, we had ground-floor rooms, so his best was great! We asked for a recommendation for dinner restaurants and her recommendation was awesome. The breakfast area was on the small side but the selection of items was ample, fresh and delicious. We were quite satisfied with our stay and would stay there again.

The hotel, which provides a hot breakfast, was good value for the money, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Some minor repairs were needed in our bathroom: a towel rack that kept falling, and a toilet which a faulty flush mechanism. The staff thanked us for telling them, and said they would address it right away.

Musty, moldy smell. No washclothe were provided, we had to ask for them. They put breakfast away by 9 and it was scheduled till 9:30. Plus they were under construction busting tubs, tile, and toilets all day from 8a.m. Till past 8 p.m. Too noisy. Not the best area of town either.

Keys had to be reprogrammed several times and still didn’t work consistently for our room or the pool. The pool area was dark and the pool was cloudy. Our room smells stale and musty. Pillows are fairly small. Otherwise room appears clean.

The check in was late to get a room - after waiting 29 minutes to tell me my room was ready- went in - the bed not made, garbage in all cans, towels & sheets in laundry bin in the room & tops of furniture- dirty. The check in clerk checked 3 times to send me to this. I had an engagement & needed to get in a room - close to 4pm now - had to let them know I had to change then they could finish cleaning. The cleaning gal was super kind- desk lady - clueless at best. When I returned, my room was clean - I wanted to put left overs in fridge - all kinds of food items win there - not sure how long. I am terribly disappointed in this stay.

It's a great value - it's clean, staff is helpful and friendly, and it's quiet. It's not in a particularly charming area, but if you need a place as a "home base" when you are in the Quad Cities, it's perfect.

People across the street begging for money and cussing when we didn’t give them money (transient motel across the street) Breakfast nasty! The eggs were frozen when we bit into them. Sausage link was so old it was hard as a rock, they made more, but didn’t heat all the way, they were still cold in middle! Coffee was weak! Very disappointing

It was convenient. However, hallway carpet is very stained and dirty There is a rug that is turned up at end that is a trip danger not fixed going out the side door. Humidifier in hall that looks very dirty. No elevator !? Had trouble with noise from child above jumping, running around early and late. Mgr. tried to fix noise issue, but someone was still trompping around above us making excess noise early and late.

Not great, but not the worst place I've stayed. Clean, if a little run down, wall unit a/c was loud. Other guests could be heard running up/down the hallway. No elevator - they do warn you prior to booking, but be prepared to haul your luggage up quite a few stairs. 'Locked' side door was propped open almost every time I went in or out.

The bath tub was filthy. the counter tops in the room where dirty and sticky. The toilet seat was broken, The pool had no towels, we needed extra towels for our room and they didn't have any. Then when I went to go check out it was like the guy didn't want to give me deposit, it was like he was doing what ever he could to keep it, and trying to tell me that I didn't even pay it when I did I payed cash, he picked up my envelope that had my name on it I saw it and then counted the money in it and put it back in the drawer and said he couldn't find it. then said they would check the room at 11 and send me my deposit on my card. told him no I paid cash so I would get cash back. it was just a total mess and I finally got my deposit back after arguing with him for about 20 min. And not to mention tell me why they had there camera pointed to my room instead where u can see all the hall ways so that was just creepy to me. I can say I will never stay there again and it wasn't worth the almost 300 dollars to stay there. I will be getting ahold of corporate. And will never stay there again.

The gentleman at the front desk seemed very off putting and unwelcoming. The lobby smelt like sweat. Got to our room and the AC barely worked. The matress is the most uncomfortable thing i ever slept on. The sheets where stained. There was rips in the walls and one of the paintings had a hole in it.

Ice machine and pop machine were out of service. The hours listed for the workout room were different online than what was listed in the room; an hour difference. The room was warm even though we turned the air conditioner on and set it at 62. Mattresses were uncomfortable, very springy. The room showed it’s age but was clean and the water pressure was awesome! The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful! The carpeting on the stairs and hallway were very stained.
I’d stayed at this location about ten years ago an it was very nice, I don’t think it’s been remodeled since then. Breakfast used to be wonderful and had an omelette station. The breakfast I had this time was rubbery scrambled eggs and slightly cold sausage links. There were options of waffles, fresh fruit included 1 apple and 1 banana, toast, and prepackaged options of yogurt, and pastries/bars. There were also a few cereals to choose from. Coffee and juice were also available. Unfortunately there wasn’t many options for diabetics.
It was difficult to sleep being able to hear the other guest so easily- outside an inside.

The beds are not very comfortable. The pool was only open until 930pm on a weekend (even though it said 1100 on the sign). Safety was an issue with us. When we pulled up all the doors to the hotel where open. The side door was open and not locked all weekend, so anyone could come in the hotel at anytime.

For the price, this is a great stay. All three times we used the pool, we were the only ones in there. Even if it is microwaveved, it is great to find an inexpensive hotel that has proteins for breakfast. Thanks for having scrambled eggs and sausage! The daytime desk clerk was extremely hard working and accommodating. If staying in the quad cities again, we would probably stay in this hotel again.

Check-in took quite awhile since there was only one staff member. And several people ahead of us had to wait since their rooms were not ready/cleaned. This was at 3:45 pm (a high volume time due to check in being any time after 3:00). The sofa in our room and the chairs in the lobby are stained and cushions are worn thin. The dish network channels continue to “search”. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles along with cereal/toast/bagels and juice/coffee. No fruit. The morning desk clerk was also in charge of breakfast. The 2 staff members we met were polite and helpful, but I simply want to share the limitations here so no one is surprised.

Should rename as DIY. We did our own towels and trash. We asked for service 2x and told yes but did not occur. We tightened loose toilet seat. Cleaned our tables at breakfast and asked for restock but we learned to do ourselves. Very messy breakfast area. Sticky floors showed footprints. Trash bins disgusting. Uninterested staff who showed no pride. We have stayed numerous times over past 3 years. Clearly gone downhill under new management.

Comfortable stay but need more staff.
When we arrived our room was a little dirty and had someone’s leftovers in the fridge still. The lady at the desk was very helpful and switched us to a clean room right away. The room was comfortable and ok but the microwave didn’t work and the toilet didn’t flush very well. Overall it was a decent stay but it seems that the hotel needs more staff to keep up with the maintenance and cleaning.

Unfortunately after some confusion surrounding the booking, I felt that the situation was fixed and the staff was helpful. However upon check out the manager decided his best course of action was to give me a public lecture. I was embarrassed and frustrated at the way he was speaking to me and it was completely uncalled for. The front desk asked me to speak with the manager via a personal cell phone which was put on speaker for the whole breakfast bar to hear. I understand that he had frustrations however he turned a happy customer into a frustrated one when he made the decision to treat me as a two year old and “give me some advice”. Just plain bad behavior from the manager plus he made my family late for mass.

Dirty pool
This hotel was not what I expected. My main complaint is that the pool was disgustingly dirty. It had tons of stuff floating in it and the water was so murky you couldn’t see to the bottom. It seemed to me that the filter system was not working and it was overloaded with chlorine. In addition, the pool area was so dimly lit, I suspect to try to make the filth less noticeable. The hot tub was out of service and I wasn’t notified until the day of check in. Also, no pool towels in the pool area so I guess people would’ve had to use their shower towels. The hotel room was not as bad, but noticeable flaws if you sat and looked around. Check-in was alright. The person at the desk really didn’t talk. Lastly, I’ll say that breakfast was decent. They had bagels and bread for the toaster, a waffle maker, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. Overall, it wasn’t the absolute worst hotel, but I would not stay there again.

When i arrived i was told they had no King rooms available and want to give me a queen with 2 beds. I asked if i would be getting a discount and then they found a king room. Also i had prepaid for my room and then they charged me again for my stay. It took 4 days for my refund to teach my account.

I was not able to get there so I paid for a room that I didn’t get to see but I’ll be there tonight. So I guess I will reach it once I’ve seen it. I learned a valuable lesson, always choose a refundable fee. Period three dollars would’ve saved me 70.

Not so good. It was a 4 out of 10. Breakfast was not good and room was not nice. We expected a good room based on the reviews and surprised that it was not as nice as the lower rated rooms that we had on this trip.
