We stayed for a long weekend in South Beach. The location is super convenient - we walked almost everywhere, especially great for beach access. Most of the staff we interacted with were very welcoming, helpful and friendly and I appreciated the room service and beach towels. The free breakfast is decent and convenient along with the lobby bar and outdoor seating areas. The rooftop pool is beautiful and a nice touch. Like many buildings in South Beach, this one is old and comes with its quirks. Our room was spacious with a nice closet and king bed but the bathroom was tiny which was no big deal. The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint would be that the hallway on our floor (and sometimes our room) had a mildew odor. Overall this was good for a short stay - we enjoyed it!

I loved staying at the President hotel, they hotel is nice, breakfast is included, they have eggs, potatoes, bacon or chorizo, bagels, bread. corn flakes, fruits, juices, coffee, yogurt. They give you towels and water every day, the room was nice and neat. Special thanks to Ashley at the reception for helping in everything. And Iyodelsis that cleaned our room and during our stay gave us what we need

We only spent 1 night before cruising and our expectations were met. There was nothing spectacular to shout about just like we had no complaints.

When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the hotel was over booked but not to worry since they moved us to their sister hotel. The sister hotel was less than a hundred feet away and they took care of everything. The sister hotel was an ocean front hotel and a much more expensive room. There was no additional charge and they even removed our resort fee for our inconvenience. Nice to find a very well run hotel with such a curtious staff in todays world. Needless to say we will be returning to this hotel again.

The room we stayed is was a large room. However there was only one chair and the couch was in terrible condition. We had to put bath towels on top of couch before we sat down.
Definitely the room needs a new couch and another chair in such a large room.

Loved the hotel. Clean, bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. It was South Beach; dirty, a lot of homeless people. A little sketchy at night. You need to keep your head up and keep your situational awareness. Traffic and parking are challenging.

Can’t believe some of the comments here. They had us concerned enough to maybe change our mind. That would have been a mistake. These hotels are older, but that’s the charm. Staff was great/friendly/accommodating. Hotel was clean. Breakfast buffet was fantastic.

This was definitely one of the best travel stays I've had. Easy access to everywhere, and the entire staff was incredibly helpful. I was welcomed with two FREE complimentary drinks, there was a full breakfast every morning, and we were literally a block away from the beach. For the price you pay, this is an incredible value. Staff during check-in was incredibly warm and welcoming, and during check-out provided me with a place to keep my bags while I lounged in the area before leaving. Definitely recommend and will for sure be visiting again.

Do not stay at this property. I booked a two night reservation based on the website picture le and its location. It’s a bait and switch. I was booked for two nights. Had I not been traveling all day I would had left that night. I checked out in the morning and switched hotels.
This property is way over priced. Bed bugs, bed sheets smelled like urine, bathrooms are filthy with mold, pool/hotel is grossly dilapidated.

Don't Stay Here--You Will Be Disappointed
We had a terrible family stay at this property. They charge a resort fee of $35 per day that includes basic hotel amenities. The hotel is filthy and the staff are unfriendly. There was no hot water and the elevator was out of service. They never opened the pool because it was cloudy. The pool was open in other hotels as well as the community pool. I wanted to speak to the manager, but she refused to meet with me. It is never a good sign when the manager won't speak to guests regarding their concerns 0/10.

A beautiful hotel situated well on South beach, close to Ocean drive main nightlife and walking distance to shopping areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful, unfortunately weather did not permit me to visit the pool as it’s closed off if it’s raining. Main thing I would like to see upgraded is the elevator

The rooms are very small, staff don’t care about your requests. The breakfast is awful, no room service even if asked till fourth day and many people don’t stay that long. Air conditioning barely works in the room. Spend a bit more and stay somewhere you’d be comfortable. The bartenders don’t know how to make a proper beverage and very limited options to choose from.

Nice hotel we enjoyedamy aspects of staying here. Breakfast was very good. Beat the crowd and get to breakfast early after 9 there is quite a long line and seating limited. Staff was very friends and accommodating. Ice machine in president villa was out of service more than once during our stay unfortunately. Another downside was the pool being cloudy. Despite these 2 downsides I would stay at this location again. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

Everything was perfect, a very good hotel, affordable price, the workers were very friendly and helpful, the only thing that disappointed me is the housekeeping service, which has to be every three days? I was shocked since in no part of the world in the hotels that I have been do that, because we are supposed to go out on vacation and be relaxed and sleep every day with fresh sheets and a clean and fresh environment, the service is supposed to Housekeeping should be done every day and not every three days... that makes anyone change their mood, they don’t feel good or comfortable, they should maintain hygiene more in the hotel... I stowed staying for a week and only I received a day of cleaning in my room, which does not seem fair, hygienic or adequate... apart from the fact that this service is charged to us when we check in for the services an amount of $198 dollars. In order for everything to be excellent, they should change the rule and try to please the well-being of the visitors and the emotions, that is not good or normal, especially in a hotel, where one goes to vacation and relax

Ashley, Reneka at the front desk was always a pleasure to be greeted by in the morning. They were always cheerful and willing to provide information, and help when we needed something. Henry at the lounge was professional waited on clients patiently and I must say made the Best Classic margaritas in town!
Kevon, I met on our last day he was very polite, waited on clients, spoke to clients coming in, also helped with luggage, opened doors. He also helped us with our transportation to the airport. I didn’t get to get everyone’s name but there were great employees from kitchen staff to hospitality— thank you for a great stay.. only positive. Hotel was clean, accessible to everyone, hotel was close to the beach and many different restaurants and stores.
My only suggestion is not to rent a car, there is no free parking, they charge $48 nightly down the street.. if you don’t plan on leaving the beach.

My son and I stayed a night here. We enjoyed the pool and the walk to the beach, there was also a store smear by so we could get a few more things before we left for a cruse. Room was nice, cool when we got in it.

First of all, the staff are very friendly and very welcoming. On our arrival Henry from the front greeted us outside very pleasant & professional. He giving us info /option /recommendation for easy access/reasonable fee. Even its not a new building but well maintained and very clean. We felt safe coz its on the main street of Collins Ave and there’ always someone in the front desk. The pool is clean and someone is station in the area. The daily buffet continental breakfast is a plus, this is included with your resort fee.

Hotel is nice especially for how old it is. It lacks information or maybe it was really the person who checked us in. He was not very friendly or inviting. We had a room on the 4th floor, but no info on how to get to it. No map and no signs that we could find on the property of how to get there, but we finally figured it out.
Location is good, but not sure I would stay there again.

We were told to wait longer to check in which interrupted our plans. The staff member at the front was rude when we told him that we already waited for one hour. He just said “what do u want me to do?” It was a guy with glasses. He had an attitude for no reason while we were so nice to him. There was jo housekeeping next morning of our stay

THE HOTEL IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING , BUT I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE UPON CHECKING INN. THE AGENT FROM THE HOTEL CHECK ME INN IN THE WRONG ROOM. UPON SEEING WENT BACK RIGHT WAY. THEY HAD CHANGED THE AGENT , AND THE OTHER ONE COUDN'T FIND MY RESERVATION. I MADE RESERVATION THROUGH EXPEDIA , EVEN THOUGHT I WAS SHOWING TO HIM, THE EMAIL FROM EXPEDIA HE KEEP ON TELLING ME I HAD NO RESERVATION. HE CALLED THE RESERVATION DEPARTMENT, AND WAS WAITING FOR THE MANAGER IT TOOK THEM ALMOST 3 HOURS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE OUGH!! THEM THEY CHARGED ME MORE THAN EXPEDIA HAD TOLD ME THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO CHARGE. AN EXTRA $165,00 I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. I WAS TIRED HUNGRY , I HAD AN AUTISTIC BOY WITH ME THAT WAS VERY TIRED SO I JUST WANT THINGS TO BE RESOLVED AND PAYED. THE AGENT FROM THE HOTEL GAVE ME A RECEIPT FROM A DIFFERENT HOTEL THE NAME OF PENGUIN HOTEL IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FROM THE PRESIDENT BECAUSE THIS WHERE I STAYED. IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT THE PERSON BEHIDE THE COUNTER COULD NOT UNDERSTAND A THING. ACCORDING TO EXPEDIA I WAS SUPPOSED TO PAY $330.60 EXTRA AT THE HOTEL MY RESERVATION WAS FOR 6 ADULTS 2 KIDS 2 ROOMS.
RESORT FEE SAID $33.06 PER NIGHT 5 NIGHTS 2 ROOMS WOULD BE $330.60 AND THAT IS WHAT EXPEDIA TOLD ME TO PAY . INSTEAD HOTEL CHARGED ME FOR THE 2 ROOMS
$495.90. I WAS TIRED AND JUST WANT TO HAVE MY FAMILY VACATION.
THE HOTEL IS NICE , GREAT LOCATION , GREAT BREAKFAST. THIS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME IN 30 YEARS OF VACATIONING.

Our room never got cleaned in the 5 days we were there. This would have been OK if it weren't a beach vacation. There was sand all over the floor and it was difficult to keep it out of the bed. We asked for the room to at least be swept and they said they would, but it didn't happen.
The breakfast was good, location was great, bartenders were friendly, and drinks were fantastic. If each room had a dustpan and broom it would really help guests avoid issues with the sand since housekeeping doesn't come often enough.

I like the fact that I was literally on the beach, Shopping in the area was good. The only down fall is you have to pay to park in the public parking garage for places like Ross, cvs, etc.

The hotel was lovely. Really nice rooms and staff are extremely helpful and provided great service to us. Only issue was the noise, which they cannot control really. At night, there was a lot of noise from other guests coming in, which made it very difficult to sleep there. This was every single night. Apart from noise, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included in resort fee but not the most variety when it came to the food. Overall, pleasant stay.

Check in desk kept saing another 10-15 min until we get to our room. Ended up waiting 4 hours. If they would jave not given us hope l would have gone and done spmething until my room is ready. What a waste of time. Also AC very old and load. You cannot sleep without airplugs.

Great hotel and location
We had a good time at President hotel. My husband and I spent 3 nights there. We took the Traditional King room, the room was a bit small with a tiny bathroom, but it was enough for us. Next time I reccomend to book the vilas, which are much more spacious for only few bucks more. Bed was very comfy and there was a spacious closet. They have a big bar area at the lobby but small reception. We could leave our bags there while waiting for check in and after checking out. We had a couple of hours to wait after check out and they allowed us to use the pool, which was nice. The included breakfast was great! Location is perfect, short walk to lots of restaurants and shopping on Collins ave, Ocean drive and Lincoln road. Definitely recommend!

The place is very small and parking is terrible. Booked a double bed room and got a single bed room. Receptionist couldn’t change it or accommodate what I had originally booked. I was told I was catfish when I made the reservation 😑 they are idiots even to talk and express themselves. Definitely don’t recommend. For the price you will find something better and with parking.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. The staff were warm and friendly and responsive to any requests we had. The free breakfast and bottles of water were excellent. The rooms and hotel area was clean and well kept. Unfortunately, we paid extra to stay in a Villa room for the space but we did end up with 2 issues that were in resolvable. The wifi in our room did not work - though the staff sure tried to fix it. With a 12 yr old and an almost 80 yr old, we retired early most nights and we would have loved to watch tv or a movie.
Also, there was a drain pipe outside our room door that made a constant tapping noise after a rainfall. This kept us up for 2 nights but but he second night I figured out that by laying facecloth at the bottom, the noise was muted considerably.
Over all, an excellent stay. We’d stay there again, we’d just avoid room 102 in the villa.

I liked cleanliness and professionalism and free breakfast. I did not like the fact that I paid for a 2 queen bed and only received a 1 queen bed. The room was a TINY box. It felt like a jail cell and I had to share it with someone. Unfortunately the hotel was sold out and I was stuck 😚
Also you could receive a complimentary drink in the house but could not purchase a drink because the computers were down for a week
Sounds like a scam to me. Very disappointed!

Rooms don’t have microwaves. Breakfast was horrible, parking garage was a block away from hotel & during check out front desk assistant (young women dark skin complexion) was very rude and snotty. I understand I requested an extra complimentary hour after check out but there was no reason for her to be rude after having stayed there for 5 days. Before leaving housekeeper said she had to check the room and make sure the tables where still there? I guess furniture theft is real here, but how could they miss someone walking out the lobby with a table?
