It was a nice stay! They could update the carpet and some furniture. I didn't want to walk barefoot on the carpet, and some of the chairs leather was ripped. Other than that it was great! Definitely would go back, and definitely recommend staying here if your a smoker and need a room for the night in palatka! Cleanest smoking room I've ever had! It was an awesome mini birthday get away!

Older motel but perfectly functional facilities. Comfortable rooms carpet was definitely old and a little stained. Breakfast was minimal by BW standards. Carbs selections were minimalist.

It’s a nice area but smell really bad asked to change rooms couldn’t change them non smoking room smells like a smoking room. Should have got a discount on room because my son has asthma and neither room was a safe environment for people that has asthma. It’s not worth 128 dollars

Overpriced for accommodations
The main lady that handled breakfast kept the area spotless and the food was good. The rooms were clean but the carpet design made it look dirty. I couldn’t find the front desk staff when I needed them. The accommodations were overpriced for what I got, and this is in Palatka! am paying less for accommodations in Orlando, going to Disney!

Dead roaches behind the bed
The hotel was full of drugs and ladies of the night. Dropped my phone behind the bed and when I moved the mattress to get it there were many dead roaches. Will not be staying here ever again.

The room I stayed in was very old and the carpet was really dirty. There was an unpleasant smell as soon as I walked in the room. I notified the staff and asked if I could be put in a better room. The clerk said there were no more rooms available, which didn't seem right considering the parking was not full. I was handed a can of spray for the odor in the room. I will not be staying there again.

This hotel is in a nice location. It is quiet and in a safe place. The staff was nice and friendly. It had a nice hot breakfast. It needs a good deep cleaning (like carpets and sidewalks). The bed was very comfortable.

There was roaches in the bathroom crawling thru the towels my kids weee terrified to use the bathroom or take a shower, the carpet ik the room was very dirty.

Great service, kind people!
Sabrina, the front desk clerk on two of the days was extremly kind, patient and helpful in fixing a mistake I made when i placed my on line reservation. On another day, my room wifi wasn't working & they worked quickly with their service provider to get it resolved asap.

For the price it wasn’t too bad relatively clean but it’s smelled musty. The carpeting needs to go. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the shower was hot.

Older hotel, but clean and quiet. Saw two German cockroaches scatter in the bathroom when turning on the light. That wasn’t pleasant. Morning staff was pleasant and helpful but when checking in at night, the guy wasn’t Mr personality.

Nice stay
We were very happy with Best Western in Palatka. Their prices were fair, not over priced or under priced. I am a professional house keeper and appreciate a really clean hotel room, and our room was spotless and smelled clean. The AC worked great and the bed was comfortable. We travel to that area or through that area a few times a year and will stay there again.

We always stay here when we go to Bikeweek. Rooms and service are always remarkable.
Was disappointed this year with brkfst. Used to have Omelets, aausage, gravy, biscuits, and all the trimmings.
Scrambled eggs, croissants, and burritos along with waffles was the line up this year.
For the price of the rooms at this BW a full brkfst would certainly help offset that expense.

One of the employees was very helpful and accommodating. She was sure to ask if I needed anything since I was staying over night and provided me what was needed right away. I was not pleased with the overall cleanliness of the room. It would have been helpful to have been given information about the hotel. For example, Wi-Fi password was not posted, television instructions not provided, what time was breakfast, etc. Typically a hotel will leave this info in each room.

My husband said the room smelled bad. There were people outside our room that were talking loud, cussing and drinking. After a couple hours of this, we decided to leave and return home (a two and half hour drive). We will not stay at this hotel again.

Good choice for a short stay
Reasonable price, comfortable bed and pillows, pretty good breakfast. Room had microwave and refrigerator. This has been a consistently good place to stay in Palatka.

Not very friendly with Guest Booking thru Hotel.Co
Not so good. First off if I booked my room thru Hotel.com I could not check in until actual check time, however regular guest can check in earlier. In additional to the check-in time, they only activated my room card pass key for only one night. I made arrangements for 2 nights in advance. The USB ports were not working for charging cell phones, I had to go out and purchased an adapter to charge my cell phone.

The hair dryer did not work. I had to go to my meeting with wet hair. There was a pile of dirt in the corner of the bathroom floor and long black hair on the floor and tub. Food crumbs in front of couch. I am elderly and they put me in an upper level room snd said they had no lower rooms available. No elevator. Had problems using stairs.

The hotel was great. It was clean and the staff was wonderful. The rooms were spacious. Honestly, I was surprised. I've been to some terrible Best Westerns. This is not one of the bad ones.

This is a cheap old hotel disguised as a Best Western. Rug in room was filthy, musky smell in room, water faucet in room slid around. No bath mat. Old towels. Room was small and dated. AC unit was loud. Our room had roaches. Another guest we spoke to said the same. Continental breakfast was skimpy compared to most BW hotels. $150 (w/tax) way too high for a place to be like that.

Location was a plus. Breakfast was almost nonexistent and there was no pen, paper, or anything showing local activities, things to see, etc. This may have been because of Corona, but still disappointing. We had a very noisy crowd either next door or just outside our door during the Super Bowl. Rowdy with loud talking, laughter and cursing. Certainly not considerate of other guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

"HORRIBLE"
This hotel used to be very nice back in the days and that was the reason I came back to stay....But the rooms were dirty, the door disgusting. I had to spray a whole can of Lysol to disinfect and because of Covid. I had to change to another room because the smell of marijuana was all over the room and outside. And the rooms are suppose to be non-smoking, right. I will never come back and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Ok fish restaurant next door, don’t use vending machines, they are outside, not chilled (warm drinks, melted chocolate) and the wrong thing came out when I chose water. Breakfast choices were bad. They had a waffle maker but wouldn’t turn it on.

Stayed here for a weekend trip to St. Augustine since it was a little cheaper than anything we could find in town, and was only about a 30-40 min drive. It was a nice place to spend a night, nothing special one way or the other. It was clean and fairly well kept, and our minimal interaction with the staff was good.

Excellent place to stay.
The front office was very friendly. One of the best service I've had this year. Very clean rooms and front area. Breakfast was good for price of hotel. Was raining so we could not try out pool. Pool was a little small but very clean and looked nice. Excellent sea food restaurant right next store.

Our room smelled very musty almost like someone had smoked in it. There was very limited parking and we were not able to park near our room because of the lack of parking spaces and had to haul all of our stuff across the parking lot. Definitely not worth the money I had to for out for this room.

Staff was kind and helpful and breakfast to go was good... But it will be nice to announced on the website that the pool and gym are closed, my kids were disappointed because they couldn’t enjoy the pool, not big deal for me, but at least if they announced on the website I could tell my kids in advanced and I can plan different activities.
