For the price and having a strategy of enjoying the pleasures of DC musuems, monuments and food, the place is ideal. Great to sleep and recharge. Not easy to use metro since it's away from the Pentagon City and Arlington, but uber is very convienent to get in DC (and cheap). Clean room and comfy. Would do it again for a quick vacation.

One word: DISGUSTING. Everything about this MOTEL is gross, old and outdated. None of the photos remotely reflect what it ACTUALLY looks like (as cheap/crappy as motel 6, but 2x the $). We asked for a different room within 5 mins of arriving because our first room had peeling wallpaper and a horrible chemical smell. Our second room was barely better; same allgeric reaction-inducing chemical cleaner scent. Then we found at least 7-8 hairs all over our bathroom (floor, tub, shower curtain, sink - no surface was spared of lingering past guests' hair), AND we showered in 2 inches of dirty tub-water because the drain backed up. Despite ALL of this, Harry the GM still said we weren't owed a refund - apparently the expectation of a clean bathroom is not a reasonable one for a customer to have. Got Expedia to give us credit on our account (after arguing for an hr), but Harry and his hotel still take no responsibility or accountability for giving us such a filthy room - save yourself the headache of arguing with hotels who don't own their poor performance. Don't waste your energy or money here, stay ANYWHERE else (motel 6 will at least honor your expectations instead of letting you down like this motel-catfish tryin' to look like a hotel).

Overall there was sufficient space, but bathroom needs work. Shower spray everywhere focit didn't have hot water.
Breakfast room is big but with top heavy tables are uneven. Selection is limited and baken was cold and dry and unpleasant to eat.

This property was absolutely NOTHING like the photos on the cheaptickets website. We immediately switched rooms due to the bathroom door not even being able to close. The second room was so noisy every time anyone in close rooms turned on any water. Then we found a roach in the bathroom. Then we immediately checked out and had to find another hotel elsewhere.

Me and my family couldn’t stayed at this hotel because it was in a very bad condition (old and dirty). There was a big hole in the wall that leaded to the bathroom and we found a spider on the bed!! I don’t recommend staying here.

Old “motel” features and amenities masquerading as a “hotel”. I was asked to pay an additional $100 fee for incidentals (that I haven’t received back yet…I’ve messaged the property through this app and awaiting a response).
I ABSOLUTELY will not stay there again! There are a plethora of properties in the area that are better. I’ll pay extra next time for quality and NO additional $100 fee.

This is a motel, not a hotel. The property is misrepresented online. Perhaps they renovated one room and took all their photos of that but my room was completely different. Peeling wallpaper, grimy old tub, TV extremely pixelated, very outdated.
I will say my room was very clean though and breakfast was okay. The location allowed for easy access to the freeways and it's near Ronald Reagan airport.
My biggest complaint would have to be the front desk manager. Every other employee I dealt with was extremely helpful & lovely. The final day of my stay I met the manager when I asked them to hold my luggage during the day before my flight that evening (I had previously been told this was totally fine). The manager gave me a lot of attitude about it and a difficult time about when I needed to pick it up by. I also witnessed her being extremely rude to another guest during breakfast because he went looking for sugar for his coffee. The hotel had not properly set up the coffee station yet they were making this man feel terrible. She eventually stormed away. I have worked in hospitality for many years and would be appalled at that front desk managers service.
Overall, would not recommend this stay.

My stay at Hotel Pentagon was a nightmarish experience that deviated significantly from the enticing images portrayed online. The establishment, despite its misleading label as a hotel, is, in reality, a motel. The beds offered no comfort, resembling a collection of rocks with discernible springs that made sleeping an arduous task. Adding to the list of grievances, the refrigerator in my room harbored extensive mold, posing a potential health risk.
Basic conveniences were shockingly absent, such as the lack of accessible plugs near the beds for charging devices. Attempting to assess the room beforehand was met with resistance from the front desk, denying guests the opportunity to make an informed decision. This refusal, coupled with a strict no-refund policy, left us stranded in an unsatisfactory accommodation against our will.
The outdoor lighting, or lack thereof, around the motel-like rooms added to the discomfort, creating a dimly lit environment that felt more like a confusing maze than a welcoming stay. Hotel Pentagon's blatant misrepresentation and failure to provide essential amenities make it an establishment I cannot, in good conscience, recommend to anyone. It's a disservice to guests, and the overall experience leaves much to be desired.

The staff members were very unhelpful. I was advised I’d have to pay a fee that would then be refunded after my stay. I told them I paid when I booked online and they assured me the fee would be refunded, but then charged me for my entire stay. When I asked for a receipt before I checked out, I was told I couldn’t get one and would have to call the next day and request one emailed. I had to call THREE times before I finally got a receipt. I stayed there in October and it is now almost December and I’m STILL dealing with trying to get my money refunded because Expedia paid them and they also made me pay them. The property itself was ok, but not the greatest. Had a leak in my sink that dripped all night long and tub was stained/cracked giving it a dirty look. Breakfast was decent, but most of the “hot” food was lukewarm at best. Would not recommend hotel to others and will never stay there again when I am back in the area.

Pros- Front desk staff is super friendly. Convenient location. Fair price.
Cons- the breakfast offered was very barebones and the facility ran out of eggs, sausage and other items well before 8:30 AM.
Room was damaged, with stained walls and broken lampshades. Vent grates needed a deep cleaning. Paint was peeling on walls, etc.. Also, the lobby coffee maker was out of order and there I was informed that there were no toiletries or other sundries available should someone need toothpaste, floss etc… as I did.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Pentagon and was rather disappointed with my experience. The photos displayed online create a much more appealing image than what you actually encounter during your stay. The exterior is in a state of disrepair, and the interior and overall amenities fall short of expectations.
First and foremost, it's crucial to clarify that Hotel Pentagon is not truly a hotel; it's more accurately described as a motel. The distinction may not matter to some, but for those expecting a certain level of service and facilities, this detail is significant.
The discrepancy between online photos and reality is striking. The rooms are smaller than they appear online, and the furnishings are outdated. The cleanliness was questionable, and the overall ambiance left much to be desired.
I strongly advise future patrons to thoroughly research and manage their expectations before booking at Hotel Pentagon.

On google it says they have shuttle service to metro. They don’t. They do have #87 bus next to the hotel that takes you to the Metro for $2 per person

The staff was pleasant and service-oriented. Breakfast is included, so that is a plus. The main building, where reception is located, is more modern and comfortable in the common areas. The room was not as described in the picture, and along with the bathroom could use a facelift (tub, sink, toilet); the water pressure was less than desirable. the location was convenient.

Two bathroom sinks, one inside the bathroom and one outside. Very convenient for 2 or more guests. The free breakfast included items like bacon, eggs, others. Room was clean. Outside corridors had worn out carpets.

Don't judge a book by its cover!
When I first booked this hotel for my short trip to DC, I didn't know it had a motel feel on the outside, with a few different buildings, including one with the front desk. Having the word 'hotel' in its name naturally made me assume it was your typical hotel with several floors, but that's not what this was. I was first pleasantly surprised by the super friendly front desk staff, who gave me early check-in for a reasonable fee, and were overall helpful and kind as they checked me in. I then walked to the building where my room was located, and I'll admit I had low expectations considering the price and the motel-esque look on the outside. But I was shocked when I opened my door to a large, clean, beautiful room. It was very spacious, with DC-themed decor on the walls, and everything was clean and spotless. While I only stayed one night, it was very easy making myself at home in this room.

We stayed here a week ago. It is an average property for an average price.
What is unacceptable is that we requested a specific room and were told that was OK. I called a day in advance and was told the room was confirmed.
When we checked in, our room (1st floor, quiet area) was not available. They said that the person who confirmed was a trainee and made a mistake. That’s BS. Mngmt is incompetent!

The hotel is clean but the rooms could use an upgrade. Paint, repairs etc. The desk staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good but no staff on hand for help to speak of in the dining room. They could use someone that could help with getting bags to the rooms. Not a great set up if in need of ADA assistance. Wheelchair ramp is in the middle of each building so if you have a walker or cane getting to breakfast or the lobby to catch a ride is difficult. Great location though. Close to DCA & attractions.

We stayed here for one night during our trip to Washington. Just wanted other to be aware this is a motel not a hotel which I was unaware of when booking. It is also VERY old and in need of a major renovation. The staff though was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable though. For one night the age of the facility didn't bother me and the price was good.

I’m truly thankful for Hotel Pentagon for allowing me to stay there! It’s been about 6 years now that I found this hotel and there service is the same as it was then.. they were a different name then but they have not changed their great customer service and being who they are!! I truly am thankful for them and pray that they continue to strive as they have with me for the past 6 years!

The check-in process was ridiculous. We were in the lobby for an HOUR before we received our room key. I had reserved the room two weeks in advance.
We’ve stayed here before and it is a nice, reasonably priced hotel, but this check in was inexcusable.

Not a great place - barely a good place.
This hotel is clean enough, but it has clearly sustained water damage that hasn't been repaired. It's damp, dank and the AC struggles. It's definitely seen much better days and the front desk staff was rude.

The room we were assigned to had water dripping from ceiling due to someone taking a shower upstairs. Initially we were told to wait until maintenance came in at 8am & it was 7:15. They came & moved us to another room couple doors down within 15 minutes. We were not going to wait until 8 because we had a scheduled excursion at 10 tobe there at 9 & wanted to take a shower.

I’ve seen some awful reviews so, let’s be real here.The hotel good for what you pay. It’s a motel6 kind of place. Could the rooms use an update Yes, are the rooms clean and safe Yes. If you want a place to hang out go pay more somewhere else. If your like me and gone all day seeing the sites just wanting a safe clean place to sleep than stay here.

Very clean and cozy
We rented the king suite...was suprised on how large it was. Had plenty of room to relax . There was a separate room to watch TV so you didn't bother anyone if you wanted to stay up later than anyone else. Very clean!

So I was willing to overlook the problems like the door to my first room not being able to latch from the outside, but then I felt completely scammed by this hotel and their arrangement with an A-1 Towing service.
The parking slip they give you kept falling off, and after driving back to the Hotel from the Nats game I forgot to put it back on the mirror. Okay, so my bad, but here’s why I felt scammed: My car was towed from their parking lot at 12.38am. First, there were a tiny number of cars there at the time, so they didn’t need the room. But more importantly, THE HOTEL HAD MY CAR’S INFORMATION on the tear off portion of the piece that went on your mirror. They have to know that some small percentage of their customers will occasionally forget to put the parking tab on and the fact that they collected my vehicle’s information but wouldn’t have the towers check first to make sure they were not towing a legitimate customer’s vehicle tells me that they care less about their customers than trying to scam some extra cash in their arrangement with the tow company.
I definitely won’t be staying g there again and recommend you avoid this place.

Everything was great but the breakfast. You was always waiting for the waitress to refill it and not many opcións. But beside it, everything was great.
Our bathtub wasnt working correctly , once we call the plumber arrived in less than 3 min, could resolve the issue we were tranfer to a close room right away. Everyone was super friendly. Would recommend this place.

While I was waiting to check in . Two ladies ran to the reception seeking for help because some men were trying to forcefully gain entry into their room.
The police was called in to get things under control. At that point I wanted to cancel my booking. But it was too late.

This hotel was TERRIBLE!! The front desk agents were really nice, but the rooms are dusty, carpet was smelling old, the bathroom floor looks like it wasn't even cleaned since last person stayed there.
The room my wife and I were assigned was filled with fruit flies! After killing several, more and more started to appear.
The front desk agent was kind enough to change our room, but the bed in next room made our skin itch! We couldn't sleep because everytime the guests next to us flushed the toilet, showered, or spoke we heard everything through the walls loud.
We didn't even spend 1(one) night there, and our reservation was for two nights. My wife and I had to check out and go stay with a relative. It appears that the owner for this property does not take care of this place. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this property, especially for the price they charge to stay here. It is NOT worth it!
I requested a refund due to the uncomfortable situation there.

From the moment of arrival, this hotel was clearly not a hotel. It is a motel with rooms outside and doors directly onto the outside. The member of staff at reception on arrival was unfriendly and disinterested. The rooms inside are dated and old fashioned. The hot water didn’t work for 4 days no matter what we tried, the front door of our room would not close. Maintenance had to repair it and made a racist comment about black people putting coins in the door to break in. The room was smelly and smelt of smoking strongly. There were cobwebs everywhere in the room. The plug sockets were rusty and dangerous. The breakfast was adequate, the pool ok but the female lifeguard was more interested in playing with small children than doing her job. The towels were greying and old. The laundry room was on full show. The reception on the TV was awful, the picture barely visible and like snowing. Absolutely horrendous. We have two disabled kids and could not just leave to find somewhere else. Reading other reviews, you can see it is a complete catfish. This is a motel, make no mistake, and not a good one. My eldest who has cerebral palsy fell over in the car park because of an unmarked and uneven ground. Just find somewhere a whole lot better

We found two big cochroaches. One was very big and crawled up the bed. Really nasty. The manager was not accommodating at all. It was a horrible experience. My daughter refused to sleep that night due to the infestation.

Older hotel at a very good price
This was an older hotel, with older furnishings and decor, but it had a homey feel to it which I liked. It was very clean, and fairly roomy, and the thing I really liked was that there were two chairs in the room. This was our final stop on a two-week trip and the other two places we had stayed only had one chair in the room. Propping myself up on the bed to read or watch TV is not exactly comfortable for me, so having a chair is a much nicer option! The hot breakfast was very good, with a lot of variety in the offerings. The location was also good, although it's located on a busy, somewhat noisy street.

Breakfast was decent. Area looked pretty nice. My issue with it was when we were leaving to do something, we closed the door and made sure it was locked and it would not lock. You could just push the door open. Apparently, the latch sticks at times. Thankfully we checked, but had we not, that would have been a great chance for us to be robbed.
Also, pool was open to only 8. They did have a lifeguard. But the height of the pool was not accurate; it said highest was 5 ft 3 inches (I believe) and it was definitely deeper than that.

I was charged $25 for checking in 20 minutes early so I could go to the Smithsonian when the place was empty and my paperwork (reservation) was prepared and on the counter.

Great central location to access everything; right off of the highway. Served the purpose for our stay. We travelled to visit the surrounding area of DC- but wanted a convenient way to get around in our vehicle. Parking was free, housekeeping was great.

DO NOT STAY HERE !! If I could give this property a more negative rating I would. Our hotel bathroom was rusted and faucets would not turn off. Our second room, the toilet and shower over flowed during the night. Spoke to front desk and he walked thru our rooms and said “I got you” and said we will get a refund and he will speak to Harry the manager. Harry the manager has been avoiding my calls conveniently he is “on break” and will not return messages. Tried to work with Expedia but ultimately were no help either.

Won’t be coming back they tried to charge me $50 to check in less than 45 min early staff very unnattentive many trip hazards t.v couldn’t even hook up to hdmi and cob webs in the room rust behind doors and cracks not just a little bit but the dark red burnt type rust. We came down from Pittsburgh and this was a complete let down btw the lifeguard will yell at you for her not explaining there system swim at your own risk.

The Property was clean and quiet. However, I don't like the hotel holding on to my $100.00 for more than a week after checking out. My account should have been credited by now. The hotel is holding on to $200.00 for two separate nights of stay. Kindly have the hotel release my money. I do not have any incidentals to be charged to my account. I have worked in a hotel for more than 10 years in Georgetown Washington DC
