The property had an appearance of newness however, there were no insulation in the walls as I could hear the complete conversation my neighbors who were talking in a normal tone it should be noted that I am hearing impaired as well

This is one of the finest hotels I’ve stayed in traveling. For those who work out during their stay exercise room above standard. Rooms are very first class.

I have stayed at this particular La Quinta @ 10 times over the past 3 years. This time was the friendliest and cleanest. I choose La Quinta because the neighborhood around back is safe to walk the dog at all times of day. The hotel is east on/off the highway, and an 2 minute drive to Shenandoah University park grounds, 5 mins to one of the best dog parks (maintained by the city of Winchester), and only 10 minutes to downtown.

Front desk staff gets five stars as she did the week before when we stayed with you. We expected the noise which we had experienced then - partly hallway noise, partly bathroom being open to the bedroom area, partly from the highways running by and near to the hotel which the windows didn't adequately reduce. The design of the room was stylish, but meant that the light and sound from the bathroom was much greater than I had found at other La Quintas over the years. The room we got this time, additionally, was designed for handicap use, not asked for or needed, and had a shower that came with instructions and were hard to follow, both confusing and because the button to push needed a lot of pressure to push. Add to that, the flourescent light above the wash basin was not functioning; the one that went around the expansive mirror did work but did not provide enough light. We talked with the housekeeper down the hall as we left and mentioned the light to her - she was quite polite and said she would make sure it was taken care of - which I believed. Don't have any idea when the room was last used, but seems like such things would be on the checklist for room completion that would then be given a quick review by another member of staff. btw, we didn't go to breakfast, but the week before we did so and it was a pleasant environment and, except for peebly eggs, the food was good and the staff was helpful and professional.

Pet friendly very clean
Easy check in. $25 extra for our 2 small dogs total. No extra charge for second dog. Clean and comfortable rooms. Definitely recommend.

The room was ok, but needs some work. The matress was horrible to sleep on. Would like the rooms to be a bit quieter and the pool to be heated since it is inside. The orange juice is pretty good, but the "hot" food was not good at all. The front desk staff is really nice, but didnt care when I informed them I got electrocuted and burned when I unplugged the hair dryer. I mean....i didnt die....so....oh well. Good luck to the next person!

The room was not clean.
Our socks became soiled with dirt on the bottom, i tossed out the socks, no way were they ever getting clean.
Hair in shower figured it wasn't cleaned, so DID NOT USE IT. Toilet paper in toilet upon arrival??? CLEANED TOILET WITH BODY SOAP AND BABY WIPES, I had to use this.
The room has no dresser, no table between beds.
The microwave AND refrigerator sit between the two sinks in the bathroom!! Who does that?
The staff were great! They were super nice and very accommodating. I can't believe the room passed codes for this room!!
And...who puts frosted glass on the wall in the sleeping area that looks into the shower????
Everyone in the room can watch you take your shower!!
In the bathroom/kitchen area, there is shelfing, and a place to hang your clothes. There is a open area under the coffee pot that leads to another open area where electrical wiring is..and my grandson got stuck in that open area/hole. Honestly, I could go on and on.
I spent $126 on this room!! I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6 smh.
Fat chance I'll get my money back.
I have never left a negative review on a hotel stay, never stayed anyplace like this.

Everyone is always so nice and accommodating here, it’s our second stay. We love the location but this time it was quite noisy outside…lots of trucks racing and showing off. I also wish the mattresses weren’t so stiff. I had forgotten about that since our last stay

EXEMPLARY! Not one complaint--and from me--that says a lot. You do hear road noise but nothing major--clean, comfortable, courteous, reasonably priced, nice bed, great walk-in shower. When traveling again, I will definitely choose La Quinta! It is on a busy four-lane in-city highway so walkability wouldn't be the best idea.

The room we stayed in with 2 queen beds was stylishly done and had a clean spacious appearance. The tile in the wash area and bath was modern and very current in design as is the whole appearance of the hotel. Beautiful shower with clean glass enclosure. I wish I could have spent more time here but we were passing through on our way home. I will definitely book again and hope to enjoy the indoor pool and workout room.

Thus is one of the nicest LaQuintas at which we have stayed. The rooms have been redone with attractive, good quality contemporary bath fixtures and nice artwork. The bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality. Further updating could include: replacing the doors to rooms that are damaged by the handle/lock set, providing alternative milk like soy, oat or almond for cereal and coffee; and healthier breakfast food. What you provide is FULL of sugar fat, and white flour. Empty calories and little protein. Terrible for children especially, but adults, as well.Also, some attention to recycling all that paper and plastic would be a good idea.

Great hotel for the price.
The room was great. We loved the layout. The bed was a bit worn. When you laid on it, you laid in the indentions. The bed was comfortable, but could have used a little more padding. The parking lot was a little small for as many rooms. If you got there in the evening, you had to search for a space.

Beautiful hotel
I had an amazing one night stay at the La Quinta in Winchester, Virginia. This is a very modern hotel that was extremely clean and well taken care of. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast had the usual items plus scrambled eggs, sausage, and biscuits. Coffee is available all day. A beautiful hotel. If I get a chance to be back in the area, I would definitely stay again.

Truly a gem
This hotel is wonderful. The room was clean, nicely decorated and extremely functional. The sink was outside of the toilet and shower. The bed was behind a wall away from the closet, microwave and bathroom. Bed was extremely comfortable. Easy to adjust temperature of room. There were shades on the windows instead of curtains, we love that- Better at keeping light out. The lobby and breakfast area were lovely and so welcoming. Breakfast was well done, there were grapes! Area was very clean. The shower was large, sink area spacious. There were two desk areas, plenty of room for our luggage. There were 3 places to eat very near, but not walkable. Had to cross a busy highway. It was very quiet

Easy check in. Comfy bed. All day coffee is nice. Breakfast is good. Parking filled up as there was SU Football game and others parked there and no one checked. Close to campus. Good pool and exercise. Good blinds. Good TV and fridge/microwave. Weird translucent shower panel but light on overnight wakes you. Bathroom very loud to rest of room. Some hall noise because so full. Lots of dogs so heads up.

I asked for a quiet room. I was put in a room that faces the main road in front of the hotel - traffic all night kept me awake all night. Guests on the 4th floor were noisy and inconsiderate of other patrons. I could not adjust the fan to keep running to block out the noise so that was disappointing. Staff, cleanliness, breakfast were all outstanding.

Our Handicap Accessible room was not ready at 4:22. Other than that, this place is good. 1 question- is putting handicap rooms on the 2nd floor smart? My wife is in a wheelchair- how is she going to evacuate in a hurry if needed?

Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable but pillows could stand to be replaced. Not a fan of the frosted glass window in the shower. This window led into the sleeping area. Room had a mini frig, coffeemaker,
and microwave. TV was not great. Not a lot of choices. During a storm, we lost some channels.

Overnight stay on my travels
This hotel was amazing. Everything was good, starting with check-in, and ending with check out! Breakfast was a continental breakfast with the edition of Belgium waffles and biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs! All yummy! I'm a member of Hotel's.com. so with my members discount, key points I paid 67.00 on a 124.00 room. But I would definitely stay at the full price.

Enjoyed the easy, polite check in and customer service. Didn’t take the free breakfast but it looked good. The coffee was fresh and delicious.
Bedding was comfortable and mattress was perfect. Only thing we didn’t like was the see through window from the bathroom to the bedroom. Late night trips to use the bathroom shone the light into the sleeping area.

The room was clean and neat. The only complaint about the room is there is a large frosted glass window in the shower that you can see into from the the main bedroom area. That would be nice to know about, particularly if you’re sharing the room with anyone.
I also didn’t know that the property accepts pets.

We arrived about 9pm traveling from South Carolina to Connecticut with my daughter and her 3 children (toddlers). We were impressed. Hotel was clean and renovated. Room also was newly renovated on the 4th floor. We showered and went right to bed. I woke in am to ants crawling on me in bed. My grandsons cup of juice on the night stand was crawling with ants. We had brought in a bag of donuts and the kids juice cups in case they wanted a snack. They were on the table in the room. Those were also crawling with ants-at least 100. I let them know as we checked out in the morning. Response was "Sorry, I'll let the manager know. "
