The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The poor rating isn’t for them. The breakfast buffet had so many options.
The room we were in had a strong odor. The toilet room reeked of urine. It needs a deep cleaning and sanitation.
We were staying there less than 12 hours so we just dealt with it.

Thought Marriott would be quite a bit nicer and put together. This one was not!! Showed up and literally cleaned our own room with the guy because it wasn’t cleaned yet. Found out this Marriott has a lot of long term tenants and our room showed it. Stained mattress, bugs, etc. the staff were nice to us, but no organization. Don’t stay here if you can help it. Marriott should get this place properly staffed and renovated.

I try to stay away from giving bad reviews however this was just too many things to avoid. I stayed with my family and it was rather disappointing. They didn't come to replace dirty towels and when asked they said that they didn't have any towels to replace them with. It advertises that they clean every other day and when we got there was told they clean your room only if you're staying 7 days or more. Didn't have shampoo, conditioner or body wash, bottles were completely empty. The door to our suite was extremely hard to close and open and a lot of the lights were not working at all.

Our stay.
Very Friendly staff, other than that, the towel hanger rods fell off the walls, the shower has two metal bars in it and one fell off. When opening our door to our room, then door get stuck on the floor halfway and I had to physically shove the door to get it to open all the way. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the room looked nothing like the pictures.

Get what you pay for.
Room had limited supplies for kitchenette & bathroom doorknob was broken. Asked for towels, said they were out. Asked for pool towel said to use the pool across parking lot at another hotel, since there was something wrong with theirs, not sure why, there was a pool guy there every morning cleaning it. Anyhow, the breakfast was basic with no fruit, but the room suited our needs. Surprised Marriott is attached to the name considering how basic the service and stay was.

This hotel was very hard to find with all the construction going on in the area. The checkin took longer than expected. The room was very outdated. The living room doesn’t have a TV in the one bedroom suite. It only has a small TV on the room. The bathroom towel rack fell off the wall and exposed the glue that was used to hold it up. I’m glad I was only staying one night because there’s no way I would stay any longer. I’m upset that I wasted my money.

The wall in one of the bedrooms had what appeared to be blood splatter from the bottom of the door to the top of the door. They did come clean it after I asked. The TV in one room didn’t work and maintenance never came to look at it, they did send housekeeping to look but they didn’t know how to fix it. The beds were comfortable however.

This hotel is efficient and perfect for a quick stay. Room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was great! There were some shades missing in our room, and the hallways are dark and kind of scary looking and overall everything needs a bit of a refresh, but overall it was exactly as expected.

In 5 days and they only cleaned our room once because we demanded it be clean. No cleaning or clean towels in the fitness room. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall and wasn't repaired until we asked twice took 2 days heater in the pool didn't work and the gate to the pool also didn't work. Staff except for a wonderful lady named Betty were not interested in solving any of the issues. I expect a certain standard when we pay for Marriott quality. It was terrible and we won't make any assumptions about Marriott quality again.

All people working their went out of there way to be friendly and accommodating. Betty who serves breakfast, greets you with a big smile and “good morning”, just a sweetheart. Donna Persons and all staff just delightful, made our stay there very enjoyable.

Didn’t get what I reserved
I specifically picked the Town Suites by Marriott because they had a two bedroom suite for the three of us traveling. When we arrived to check in, the clerk was very pleasant and when he pulled up my reservation said he apologized but they had to change it. We were sent over to the facility across the parking lot, also Marriott. We went to check in there and the clerk was also very pleasant. When we got to our room, instead of a two bedroom suite as we requested, we were given two queen beds next to each other with a couch on the other side of a half wall. This was not what we had asked for. We awkwardly made it work (we had an elderly lady with us who also made the best of it) but I was never informed about the change until arrival, which would have been appreciated.

Usually nice stay
We have always been so pleased in the past at this place. This time felt like we were in a room that was out of order for maintenance. The front door was sticky and hard to open. The door handle inside the bedroom fell off in our hand. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling and mildewed. The televisions didn't work, the phone didn't work. The kitchen light was iffy. The room wasn't stocked with enough towels for the 4 registered guests. Maintenance came and helped and gave us points in Marriott Bonvoy and a courtesy adjustment on our account. The breakfast attendant was lovely and very cordial- the food tasty, but the eggs and oatmeal so cold they couldn't really be eaten. We are sure that the next time we stay there the room will be refurbished up to the usual standards.

The staff was excellent, but working with a real crappy property. The hot breakfast was dismal with largely processed . The TV was improperly configured, so yo had to change input EVERY time you turned it on. I feel the fire marshal needs to stop by as there was an electrical short that turned the tv off every time we walked by it or turned a light off in the room - scary.

The staff is always helpful. Rooms were large and clean. Enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was included with healthy choices.

Window screen broken. Window unable to stay open by itself. Exit door nearest our room locked for two days/nights because it was not accepting room key cards. This was a big fire hazard.

When I checked in, Robert made me feel at home.
He, and the rest of the staff were wonderful.
Anyone could learn from them on great customer service skills. My wife and I were there for a week. We'll recommend this hotel to everyone.

The bed was very comfortable and clean. My TV didn’t work. The only issue I had with cleanliness was the shower curtain was too long and was kind of gross on the bottom. Clean kitchen. Breakfast was great.

The room we stayed in was not clean. Carpet was dirty n stained. The rest room has mold. The furniture in the room outdated. The room was covered up with air freshener. Sleeping on the bed i could smell it, was very strong. The pillows had a very old smell. I liked the space and the seperate rooms. But i was not happy with the room, room was very dirty.

Not the worst, but not great.
Mixed bag here. I've been in worse, but I won't stay again unless I have no other choice in the area,especially since it costs over a hundred a night
The staff is very nice. The hotel is old and the carpet is grimy and torn. Hallways are dark and dreary.
My room was mostly clean (no bugs either) but there were hairs in the bethroom sink, so questionable. It had two thin bath towels (folded), one hand towel (already hanging on the rack,which I've never seen a hotel hang the hand towel, so clean= ? although it didn't appear to have been used), & no washcloths. Clearly, it had been a smoking room & not been updated since because the room reeked of cigarettes. I sprayed everything w/hand sanitizer to try to mitigate that, but it didn't really help.
On the plus side, the bed was clean and comfortable as were the pillows, which was important since I was mainly here to sleep just one night.
I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and dicsovered I had no water in the room. I called the desk and learned it was shut off in the night due to a major leak somewhere and that I could use the front lobby toilet if needed (I was in another building in the 3rd floor). When I got up around 8 am, there was still no water, so I used my drinking water bottle to brush my teeth, used the toilet (tried to flush, but ended up having to just close the lid - not enough water), & had to call that done. They gave everyone in that building 20k Mariott Bonvoy pts for the inconvenience.

Two bath towels for two people for three nights. TV issues daily, they did apologize that Marriott had changed the TV providers and it didn’t work consistently with the current TVs.
Please give two people at least four towels and four pillows and please fix the TV situation.

I have stayed at many Towne Place Center Chains and this by far was disappointing . The paint off the bathroom wall was peeling and the television did not work. The computer chair had a hole in it. The bedding had black stains on it. Will not stay at this hotel again!

Don’t stay here.

Definitely did not feel like we stayed at a “Marriott” property! The rooms smelled of dirt. Beds were made with dirty bed sheets! The pull out mattress had NO sheets just bare dirty mattress! When asked for extra sheets was told “we don’t have extra bedding”. If it wasn’t for every where else being completely sold out my family and I would have left.

The room was nice. The service was pretty awful. Arrived for check-in at 4pm, our room wasn't ready till 6:30pm. Two nights stay, no towels provided. The room wasn't serviced at all while we were out on the town all day. The night desk attendant was very unhelpful. When asked questions, he didn't seem to know anything.

Great Phoenix Apartment style hotel for the weeken
We had a really great overall experience. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful, especially the manager Melissa and the night manager, Julianna. The kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, stove and dishwasher allowed me to use my cooking skills for my business partners large family and avoid the expense of restaurant dining while in Phoenix. Great time during a productive business trip.

Checked in very late, my room was given away. Melissa was checing me in and went above and beyond makeing my stay very comfortable, instead of a 1 bdrm, was given 2 suites, grandkids and i were very comfortable. Very clean, great staff, great pool, only problem was 3 out if the 4 dryers were not working..highly reccomend.....

Stove buttons did not work used pliers the entire time. It was electric so either my food burnt or took long to cook because I couldn’t tell the temperature location. Very dirty rooms, sheets, floor, furniture. Towel shortage

Homeless folk loitering around entance to outside. Smoking and drinking right out of door. No hot water and no offer of discount for inconvenient. Building B not as clean as A loud music, you could hear it even when in car second time i stayed there, in 2 months was like a different Hotel.

3 hours late check in, dirty / smelly room, had to be switched to a different room. Homeless people are staying in rooms, looking through cars & approaching guests. All of the hangers, luggage racks, pots & pans were missing. No cleaning services the 5 days we were there.

The room was nice. I stayed there for a week and something weird happened one day before checkout. My room key cannot open my room but was able to give me access to the building. I went to the front desk and the staff refreshed my room key. I went to the room and it's still not working. Then a stranger walked by me and scan their key to my door and it worked! She is not a staff and I didn't get to ask why her key works and she just walked away and told me to just go in my room. After that I just don't feel safe anymore living there. I checked out the next morning.

The lightening in hallways was very dark.
There was noise from the freeway.
First night there, someone on our floor was smoking pot. It permeated the whole floor for the evening.
The refused to make up our room even though we requested it early in the morning. They said you had to request it the night before.

Tried to check in early but room was not available, but asked if we could be on the same floor as our friend who was staying and was told they would do their best. When we came back at 4 to check in a different gal was at the check in desk and when we realized our rooms was on a different floor we were told that the manager specifically picked this room for us and it was too bad we didn’t get there just a few minutes earlier because the manager just checked in someone on the same floor as our friend but it was the last room. Upon check out the manager lied and said the rooms were all rented long term for the type we rented. Peeling paint in bathroom dirty shower curtain. One bed so hard we could not sleep on it. Room smelled of wet dog I am assuming because they had just spot cleaned the floors and they were still wet. At check out the lobby smelled of marijuana. We thought Marriott held to a certain standard but I don’t think we will ever book at one of their hotels again based on this experience.

The rooms are okay and the staff tried to be helpful. We booked a 1 bedroom 2 months ago, but when we checked in they had none available. After some discussion, Valerie was able to get us a 2 bedroom at the same price. That was good. There were 3 of us but there were only 2 towels. We called and got more sent up. After the next day after having been gone all day we returned and the room had not been cleaned. When I called they asked if we had scheduled it. I said no, I didn't know I needed to schedule it. I scheduled it for 9:00 the next day but it didn't get done till 1:30 the next afternoon which was very inconvenient.
One of the room keys kept ceasing to work and every time I took it to them they would just reprogram it rather than replacde it.

This property seems to be showing it's age. Staff was great, but the kitchen rooms needed some servicing. For example, only 1 of 3 light bulbs in the bathroom worked. Spatula, but no frying pan.

Nice Hotel in a Bad Area
The hotel and rooms are clean and the staff is nice. The kitchens areas could be stocked a little better (only two settings) and the laundry facilities could be better maintained (only 1 of 4 dryers worked). The biggest drawback for the whole area (not just this hotel) is that it is infested with many, many homeless people all begging for money and/or looking for stuff to steal and sell. It is an unsafe area in my opinion.

The night manager was friendly upon our check in. Breakfast area was under construction, needed an appointment to use the pool, guests smoking right outside the building entrance/ exits. In all of the common areas there was a smell of burnt hair and wet dog, not sure if it was the cleaner used. The room was clean and did not smell like the hallway. The fold out bed mattress was not comfortable and there were no extra sheets/ pillows in the room for the foldout. There was not a welcome to the area book advising places to eat/ visit or a channel guide for the local cable stations. The room over all was missing everything one has come to expect for this type of establishment. Will definitely be look elsewhere if we stay in this area again.

Room was worth the price we paid for 6 people, but not anything more than that. The carpet was so dirty as soon as you stepped out of the shower your feet were black. One of the AC's hummed as if it were blowing but did not cool the room, in that same room the TVs volume did not work so it was on an obnoxious HIGH that we eventually just turned it off because it was so loud. My mother in law found a bug in her bed the first night, other than that no other rodents were found. Paint was chipped in the bathroom which wasn't that big of deal but not very appealing. We stayed a total of 4 nights so the frig and stove were useful. I probably would not stay at this location again, but if you are on a budget with a big family who dont mind wearing shoes the whole time, having 1 less tv and half AC, whatever works.
