Sometimes you get what you pay for
This hotel is in need of remodeling. The rooms are old and shaped weirdly. The shower was unappealing, and the lighting was poor. Good location, good price, bad condition.

The outside was very nice but inside is a different story. All the carpets needed to be cleaned or replaced. There was a lot of little things that was wrong with it. I would never stay there again.

Check in went fine, but my room was not clean. There was actually blood in the sink, no extra toilet paper only one washcloth and two towels there was supposed to have been two people not even enough linens for two people. Also, I only got one card when I checked in, the facility itself outside on the grounds seem fine, but they need to clean the rooms much better

Pillows resembled squar couch pillows; not comfortable at all. No available shampoo in the room and the front desk would only give one bottle for 3 people. We all know how small the bottles are. For the price, I guess it's as expected. Decent for a one night stay but that's about it.

Booked this room because it offered a hot tub. When I got there it was a jacuzzi tub. Which was alright. Upon inspection there was still hair in the tub. I cleaned that up and proceeded to fill up the tub. As the excitement of getting in and relaxing was getting close. I pushed the button to turn it on and to my surprise it was broke. So i just sat there in a huge tube full of hot water looking stupid. I literally paid up for a room with a broken jacuzzi/hot tub. They need to change the advertisement for this room and have people working that can actually answer you questions.

Misery at the Inn
Shower had slippery scum on floor and appeared to have been there for quite some time. Shower door was hinged to the wrong wall making access very difficult. Front desk clerk totally untrained to handle a simple problem and, when manager arrived, was also unprepared to handle the problem claiming lack of knowledge on operating the computer. Overall it was a miserable experience and to top it all off they double billed my credit card and told me only Expedia could resolve the problem.

Walls in room had whatever it was on them, maybe dirt, food or booger. Beds were comfortable, pillows need upgrade to a full size pillow. I not 2 years old im grown and want a full size pillow. Lady at front desk was rude.

This was the most horrible stay in my life.
- I got bug (likely bed bug) bites on my arms while sleeping on the bed.
- I found mouse traps on the carpet.
- The bathroom smell bad.
- The fridge made griding noise.
- They charge $20 for a dog, not $10. And they charged me $40 for my dog. They said they would refund, but I haven't received it yet.
- Most of all, the manger was irresponsible, and she never apologized for the problems.

Lobby, room, and beds were all clean without sign of pests. Staff was friendly and kind and were able to help with a light accent barrier. Theres an ihop next door with a few other restaurants within the block that are all good. Overall a pleasent hotel experience

Clean enough. Evening check-in clerk very pleasant and easy to work with. We had to fix the toilet o a receiptn arrival, only had one wash rag. We had a coffee maker, but no pot to hold the coffee. Morning desk clerk was hard to understand and was reluctant to print a receipt.

SKIP!! soiled sheets, rude receptionist
My first room was smoked out and the sheet had multiple, what looked like blood stains. I immediately went to the receptionist not even 3 minutes after I checked in and she refused to put me in a different room because I had taken the top sheet off the bed even though I offered to make the bed back. She eventually put me in a second room after MUCH back and forth. The second room had HEAVILY SOILED sheets, pillow cases, the wall was missing most of the panel. I was not comfortable AT ALL. I spent a maximum of 45 minutes in this hotel before checking out. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE

Wasn't all that clean. Shower door about to fall off. Breakfast was disgusting. Attendant spilled milk all over floor and left it. Made new scrambled eggs and they were ice cold. Maids switched out towels and that was it.

Single night stay
We stayed one night. Check in was a pleasant experience. I called the front desk later that night to get the wi-fi password. A different person was working. What I was given was incorrect. Her English was so broken she was difficult to understand. I figured it out on my own. The hand soap, etc were all highly scented. Definitely shouldn’t be. The bed was comfortable. The ice machine never worked. The breakfast provided was adequate; nothing fancy. Bring a sound machine because there was a lot of noise from the hallway.

This hotel was dirty, i had no power in my room the second night of my stay. The owners would not approved a refund. There was no warning of a securiy deposit up front.

Never Again
Ridiculously long check in. Front desk woman barley spoke to us. The hotel is absolutely filthy, soiled carpets, missing art work on the room walls, stained ceilings, dirty windows, dripping water. The only positive was the bed was comfortable and the free coffee was decent!

Breakfast area was a bloody mess each and every morning and for the entire duration of the breakfast time slot. Food all over the floor, tables trashed, garbage overflowing.....all 3 mornings. Broken furniture and broken shower door in my room.

Had to stay here because we were having some work done on our house and needed a place with our puppy and a pool for the kids. This checked both of those boxes, but is old, dated, dingy, dirty… found a roach in our bathroom, had to beg for enough towels for our family of four, no daily housekeeping… never again. We will just kennel the puppy if Sleep Inn is the only option.

In town for my mother's burial
The trip was good for me and my fiance but the only thing that was the major problem is that we booked a room with a jacuzzi tub and we got a walking shower instead. A heads up would have been nice but we took the room and made the best of it.

Breakfast not great - Needs a good cleaning
Our stay was Ok. The staff was not overly friendly, but nice enough.
Breakfast was less than most others - only cereal, waffles, powder eggs, precooked sausages, toast, and yogurt. No fruit, oatmeal, peanut butter, etc...
The room was fine, small, and had basic amenities. It was clean, but not CLEAN. The whole room, or the hotel in general, could use a deep clean, corners and cracks in the bathroom, and there was an area in the room where there was 'something' smeared on the wall.
The hotel in general - There was never a liaison at the front desk, always had to ring the bell when new guests arrived, or when towels were needed. The poolroom door was broken. The lock was broken so you could (had to) force entry into the pool. The stairwell exterior door lock was also broken, so no security getting onto any level of the hotel. The public areas of the hotel were hot, a bit smelly, and in need of quite a bit of cleaning and general upkeep.

This hotel was gross. Immediately checked for bed bugs upon entering the room. The pool was so dirty and the water a funny color. The door to the pool wouldn’t open and it was quite the chore to get help opening it. They didn’t believe me and when they tried to open it, they couldn’t open it either. Check-in took forever and the person barely spoke to me. Breakfast was subpar. The waffle maker didn’t cook them long enough so they were undercooked and no one ate them. I will never stay at this chain again, regardless of location.

Sticky. The hallways clearly smelled like smokers were present. The room smelled like old food. The furniture and tv remote were sticky. The bathroom fan didn’t work, so they didn’t help. Running the AC and removing the humidity did help in relieving some of the smell. Bedding was clean and fine sleeping in. Very close and convenient to O’Fallon Family Park for sports tournaments. Many good restaurants nearby.

Worse ever/just NASTY
The hotel was the worse I have ever stayed in! It smelled bad of over saturated air freshener. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The smoke detecter was missing. Light bulbs were missing. The hallways were nasty! The elevator was filthy! I could not reach anyone at hotels.Com to help us get a different hotel. All other area hotels seemed to have no vacancy. I am notifying local fire department about the missing smoke alarms. I will not trust the reviews again.

Disgusting Hotel, Dirty and Noisy
This was the WORST hotel we have stayed at. We had pets with us and they put us on the 3rd floor. We had even requested to be on the 1st floor prior to our stay. They said you have to get here earlier if you want that floor. Also, the room was filthy, had mold in the bathroom on the floor and some of the lights didn't work. The floor and counters were also not clean. I would NEVER recommend this hotel if you want good sleep. We had a bunch of Boys next door to us that stayed up partying all night long so we decided to leave at 4 am as we didn't sleep much anyways. Then they have the audacity to charge $20 per pet fee on top of the price as well. NO THANK YOU!!!

They did not keep the pool towels in the pool area. They were very rude at check out.
They did not have regular sugar, jelly for the breakfast! Also they didn’t restock any items for breakfast. They cooked the eggs and sausage at 6am and that was it. Didn’t stock the yogurt. It was the worst stay I’ve had in a long time. No bathtub only showers in BOTH rooms.

This was the most disgusting sleep inn I've ever stayed at. There was only one wash rag in the room, the toilet paper holder was broken and then they charged us $100 incidental fees. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired there was waffle there and some cold cereal he had to hunt to find the milk there was a toaster there but there was no bread or English muffins or anything else and no fresh fruit at all. We were really disappointed in this sleep in

Room was very comfortable and staff was friendly. In my opinion, room prices are a bargain in comparison to other near-by hotels. I think the addition of a limited amount of pastries to the breakfast bar could give hotel guests more options and make a positive difference.

Not worth the money.
Website said complementary hot breakfast and free early check in, when checking in at 1:30 I was told to wait till 3. Even though it says 2 hour early check in. Breakfast was a waffle maker that worked half way and some milk. A kid spilled her cereal on floor and workers just walked around it. Not a good place to stay.

I booked online and saw they had free early check in. I arrived early and went to inquire about when i could check in because I was exhausted and just eanted to kay down. The clerk told me I'd be charged for early check in, then she changed the room I had booked because it was handicap accessible and I'm not handicapped is what she said. When I came back at the time I could check in early, she asked for my name then walked away without saying anything to me to a back room for several minutes before returning and changing the room I was in twice. She was rude and very short with me for asking a dimole question then not giving me the room I booked on the website. Needless to say, I won't be returning. Booking online should have made check in very easy...the staff is what made it difficult.

NOT GOING HERE AGAIN
Picked our room for hot tub and hot tub had no plug! Went and talked to clerk and she had me look in different rooms for plug for tub. So I asked to switch with one that worked and was told they were spoken for! I asked for discount and she said manger isn’t back til Monday. I said to have them call me so I can state why! Also the remote didn’t work and she said nobody was there to fix it!

It was our first time to take our dog in a hotel, i requested a first floor room but none was available over the phone. When Krissy (spell check) checked us in she gave us a first floor room that is close to the exit door. That was very convenient for us. She was very nice and accomodating! We did not eat bfast there but it was available. Thank you for not charging an arm and leg to bring our puppy with us!

When we first arrived, we were assigned to room 200. When we got up to our room, we could obviously tell that this room hadn't been cleaned since the last people were there: dirty towels, trash cans full, empty coffee cup on the desk, sheets were made up very poorly. We then went to the front desk and requested a new room, which they gave us room 300. Room 300 was fine, at least it was "cleaned up". I say that in quotes because at first glance, it seems clean, but there were a lot of things missed. The comforter had a yellow (assuming pee) stain on it, one of the pillows had a blood stain on it, the jets in the tub were filthy, the carpet was ripping up, the ceiling popcorn was coming off, the window curtain was dirty, and the whole place just felt run-down. The worst part about our experience was that two nights in a row (we only stayed two of the three nights we were there because of it), the fire alarm in the whole building was going off at 6:00 and 5:00 respectively. I'm more of a night owl, so I go to bed around 1:00 or so, and after getting abruptly waken up thinking there's a fire, I can't just go back to sleep. So, the first night, that was all the sleep I got. The second night, I was able to go back to sleep after a couple hours. When I woke up and went to the front desk after the second night to request that I cancel the third night (admittedly after the 11:00 checkout), she told me I should've come down earlier. Worst hotel experience I've ever had.

Staff were friendly but hotel is old and not kept up. Rusted metal in the shower, floor not cleaned well, two fire alarms in the early morning, torn up carpet in the hallways, just an all around poor environment.

Comfy if not a bit rundown
Overall a decent hotel. We felt very safe and were comfortable - the huge jacuzzi bath was a definite plus- however we cleaned it before use and let it run and drain before getting in and that alone showed it was not as clean as it could be beforehand. The room itself was clean, a bit of wear on the walls, furniture but comfortable. The breakfast offered was a bit of an eye roll - it was 8:00 when we tried to eat and there were no hot items left, two slices of bread but plenty of cereal. The coffee was TERRIBLE instant from a machine. I’m not super picky and drink my coffee black and am ok with Folgers but this was terrible and I could not drink it at all. Check on staff gentleman was very friendly and caring- so a plus there!

Ain't nobody happy here.
Our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke; like someone had literally smoked an entire pack in there right before we got there. You could also tell that the staff had tried to cover it up with air freshener. We asked for another room and the staff person said he was not able to do so but we could speak with the manager who was supposed to be there in the next hour. It was 9:30 pm and we had little kids that needed to sleep so we sucked it up. The next morning they stopped serving breakfast 30 minutes before it was supposed to end and our only option was cold cereal. We watched guest after guest checkout with a variety of complaints. One guy was so mad he cussed them out and left in a huff.

Overall, the property was a bit shabby. Dirty elevator, pieces of formica chipped from desk. Staff was neglient in several respects. We were required reset key cards each day - staff said was "for security purposes" Requested room to be cleaned - was not done during stay. Had to go to front desk to get soap. Breakfast missing several items on multiple days. will question refund for 5th day in separate file
