I enjoy the staff the most. They make it priority to recognize and appreciate the repeat guests. They also protect the guests information to ensure confidentiality. Overall they work hand in hand on one accord to establish a better work environment that guest can see.

As I was checking out, I learned that I had been given the wrong room. Which would explain the broken door handle that I was assured would get fixed (it didn't). Also, while the room appeared to have been cleaned, there was a wad of hair clinging to the side of the shower (clearly missed). The AC/heater needs some maintenance and the windows need insulation. Bed was nice, shower was hot, and morning staff was friendly.

Room was in disrepair (bath fan didn't work, broken toilet paper roll holder, broken desk chair); yogurt at breakfast was over a month past expired; staff was brusque. Not a good value for the money.

I would not choose to stay in this hotel again. There were no towels in our bathroom, cigarette smoke was wafting in the hallway, the carpets were dirty and our coffee maker had no coffee pot. It was a rough place.

The room was dirty like it had not been used in a while. The bathroom light did not work. Reported it to the front desk but nothing was done. When I went down for breakfast in the morning, the person behind the front desk said that she left a note for the night person to ask us if we wanted to change our room because it cannot be fixed. I should have been notified sooner. We had to take a shower with a flashlight. Also, the hotel wanted a $100 deposit along with the rates for the night which I found to be out of control.

Avoid Not Worth The Money!
The condition of the room was poor. Stained bedding, lights that did not work and were not plugged in. Loose fixtures in the bathroom. Front door was shaky and did not seem secure. Breakfast was fair at best and the orange juice was spoiled. Front desk was notified that the orange juice was bad and they never removed or replaced it, other guests tried it and threw it out. Upon check out no one was at the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stayed there before and it was ok, but this time the hot tub was black at the bottom. The pool didn't look all that good either. Something was wrong and the next day it was shut down. The staff said the person that worked the day before put a chemical in the water and she didn't know what she was doing. We should of gotten a refund of some sort. The hotel is going down the drain. I will never stay again.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, approachable, and appeared to genuinely care about the guests. Alli at the front desk was especially kind, professional, and welcoming. The room was clean, but was missing the smoke detector and the wires were showing in the ceiling. The hot tub worked the first day, but was out of order the second day, and was un-clear. There was a film over the top of the water. The pool was mostly clean, clear, and comfortably warm.

When we checked in we were given keys to a room. Got in there, there were no sheets, pillows, comforters on the beds. It was all piled in the bathroom.
Went down to ask for another room, had to wait cause the front desk girl was talking on her cell phone. Finally got keys to another room. Got up there, keys wouldn't work. Had to go back down and get a key that would work. Got in the room. Had bedding!! But looks like blood and booger smears all over in random places on the wall.

Spent 4 nights hete. The hotel is fine and the staff is helpful and cheery. My only complaint would be the noise from several guests on Saturday night having a party till midnight and other nearby inconsiderate guests speaking loudly in the hallways and letting the doors slam as they traveled back and forth between rooms. The hotel should have shut down the party way before midnight.

Not a great experience.
When I arrived the young lady was nice, when I got to the room, the bed had been slept in and the top blanket was in the floor, called the front desk the Guy working (after shift change) was great came in done a quick change and clean.

Room was ok, but...
Some good things - a nice room - clean and comfortable. However, the hotel was very noisy - I could hear other guests all night and also noise coming from people in the parking lot. Breakfast was good with hot coffee.
Here's a particular complaint - their cable - they carried CNN and MSNBC (which was on during breakfast) but not Fox News. Bias??

Always Reliable Accommodations
Quiet hotel, comfy room, clean and in decent condition. We didn't stay for the breakfast. Sleep Inn has the best showers. We are repeat guests and will be back.

Our room and the halls smelled so bad of weed. Which made me very sick with a migraine. Also made my 2 children I had with me ask questions as I do not let them around any type of smoke. We were told this was a non-smoking facility and I am not happy about this.

Sink was supper slow to drain, television was not working properly, toilet seat was cracked. When I told person at front desk about these issues I was told that they would be taken care of. The items were not fixxed.

Mattress was soaked through to both sides with urine. Staff cursed at me and attempted to flip mattress over when reported. House keeper stated mattress would be sprayed with bleach when we left because there was nothing else she could do. Pool and hot tub broken and unclean. Safety was a major concern.

Not happy
Air conditioner shut off all the time. Didn’t keep room cool. After checking in had an issue tv controller. Front desk clerk Sharon was extremely rude after she was nice when I checked in. Lastly, on the last day I got a 12:30pm check out and housekeeping kept knocking on the door from 12:00 pm until I left more than 5 times.

The cleanliness, furniture display and the meal set-up. But to tell you the truth I didn't tour the facility I just stayed in the room. However, the bed was a little to hard for me and the pillows were uncomfortable. Other than those things I enjoyed and look forward to my next stay.

Initial impression in lobby was good. Room smelled clean. While settling in we noticed a few things that were not as expected. 1. The metal tab was broken off of the flip over lock on the door 2. The toilet was loose on the floor and was leaking on the floor. 3. The sink was falling away from the wall and had calk gobbed on and smoothed by what had to be someone's finger. 4. Last but certainly not least while we were packing up in the morning we saw a cockroach!! Absolutely unacceptable!! We are really afraid that one may have gotten in our luggage! The woman at checkout replied, "we get a lot of travelers in and out of here". Well no kidding you are a hotel chain! We will not be staying at any of the quality/sleep in chain of hotels again!!

Loved the pet friendliness, and it was a good breakfast. Beds a bit too firm and pillows weren’t great. But kids had a great time in the pool and free popcorn for an evening snack was perfect.

We were in the area for our daughters wedding, stayed the week at Sleep Inn. It was excellent, STAFF WAS GREAT!! Breakfast was Good, plentiful, breakfast LADY kept everything clean, warm , full, and was so nice. Staff was HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, POLITE, AND JUST REFRESHING!!

A nondescript hotel that left us very pleased. The check-in lady, Sharon, was so unbelievably sweet. She let us chech in 2 hours early and was one of the sweetest people I've ever talked to. The hotel was recently remodeled and looks great. Every member of the staff I encountered smiled and greeted me. If I ever find myself in Decatur again, I will be sure to stay here again.

I liked that they offer breakfast. And we needed a late check out and we were granted the late checkout, the only thing was that there was lack of communication between housekeeping and front desk, therefore we were woken up anyways. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Check in was quick and easy. Front desk staff was very friendly. We had an issue with someone from housekeeping walking into our room unannounced looking for something the previous guest couldn’t find. That was unnerving. Bed is a bit uncomfortable and bathrooms need to be updated a bit.

The room had clean sheets and behind everything was cleaned there was no cobwebs anywhere. Everything was dusted. Also the pool area was very clean. You couldn’t see the body oils of others in hot tub. I was very pleased.

my room smell like smoke even though i'm not a smoker it was supposed be non smoker room. Dry blood on the sheets and cobwebs in every lamp shade. There was soap left in the shower on the edge from the last person that was there. Breakfast bar hot food was cold. My husband paid for my room in advance through orbitz and so i did not need his card when I got there but one of the staff there ran his credit card twice once 3 am and the next day so he had to cancelled his card but the staff never said anything to me about any extra charges, What they did not know every time they did it my husband got an alert.

Our check in was very good but the front desk lady that worked 3-11 was a bit much. She made me almost want my money back. She don't know how to talk to people. But once I let her know I was not having it she got better. The stay was nice the Breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel. I forgot our microwave went out and the blow dryer did not work.

We stayed in connecting rooms. All workers were so kind, and two room are very nice furnitures.
There were not a lot of different dishs in Breakfast, but it was enough because of the price.

I asked for a handicap accessible room. The tub was not handicap accessible. The first thing I saw when I walked into my room was a huge black spider and spider webs in the corners. The toilet wasn't safely fastened to the floor so anytime you sat down or got up, the whole toilet moved. Not a great stay.

Very disappointed with the hotel. We came down to Decatur to visit my sister and two nieces. We had in total 5 children that were VERY excited to see their cousins and swim. Well, first we get to the hotel rooms and there were bugs on the wall in both rooms we got. One of the beds blankets were dirty and we tried calling down to have someone come change it and we were told they could give us a different room or give you new blankets. So, then we go down to the pool and mind you we had 5 children excited to swim. There was a sign on the door for the pool stating their pool heater isn’t working the greatest and sorry for the inconvenience. THE POOL WAS ICE COLD! The children weren’t able to swim. We went over to the hot tub to try that out and it was SCALDING HOT!!! You couldn’t even get into the hot tub that is how hot it was. VERY UPSETTING. Back in the room, whenever you flushed the toilet or used the sink it smelled like Fish. Very Gross. One of the children we had was a baby and he was crawling on the floor. When I picked him up to get him changed for bed the top of his feet were black from crawling on the carpet. VERY GROSS AND THEY NEED TO SHAMPOO THEIR CARPETS. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Go somewhere else and pay the little extra money. I know when I come down in the spring I will NOT be going there!

Easy, comfortable low frills hotel. You've got a pool, workout area, and WIFI. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The breakfast could use improvement. Stick to the waffles, bagels, and fruit & you should be ok.

We would give them a 100% review, however it felt the property was short staffed, it took a while to get checked in because there was no one at the front desk because they were helping another guest. Overall, the place was quiet, breakfast was delicious, the non-smoking really did not smell like cigarettes, and the staff was really friendly. We also had the opportunity to check out a little later which worked out perfect with our schedule.

Very dirty carpet. Hot tub seems to be leaking. Water chemistry out of balance. Definitely time for some updates to stay competitive. We have been staying at this property for years, but time for a change.
