The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is not far from downtown Columbia, SC nor the airport. Breakfast areas were ready and clean prepped early in the morning by hard-working staff. He also kept the area clean with other housekeepers. I would highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a short-term or long-term stay, it is very clean and convenient for getting to the town which is right off the exit. Please support the local and check it out!!!!

Value stay near CAE
This hotel was a good choice and good value for what we needed: a night’s stay near the airport. Facilities were a little dated but in overall good repair, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. We would stay here again. They do charge a somewhat hefty deposit, but it was refunded within a reasonable time. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely absurd - my dog got out of our room for maybe 2 minutes and they refused to give back our security deposit
Not even sure how she got out of our room considering a small dog can’t even reach the door handle
Then they went in our room without warning
The lady at the front desk said because the GM saw the dog in the hallway it was their choice to not give us back the 150$ security deposit. Again the only ones that have access to our room were the ones who saw the dog “escape” and were the only ones who happened to be able to enter our room without knowledge to put her back? We were gone for maybe 5 minutes and when I got back to our room she was asleep on the bed
Starting to think the dog never was out at all -
Very rude and the two people at the front desk working 3 pm on Nov 25th seriously need to learn how to talk to customers or work somewhere where they don’t have to communicate with other people

most outlets in our room didn't work. Breakfast was closed earlier than stated on Saturday.
Food was allowed to run out on Sunday with no sense of urgency on the part of staff to replace. Dirty towels and bath mat were removed, but not replaced. Shower had a damaged handle, so water temp regulation was difficult. bath sink water would not warm. Staff seemed friendly, but clueless for the most part

This was my first experience with Sleep Inn-I believe this may have been a franchise. Be aware they charge a $6 "hospitality fee" which I was told included conditioner for your hair....even if you don't need shampoo and conditioner, they charge you. I was told it was the same if you went to a spa and they charged you a "hospitality fee"...but this was no spa-There was no conditioner in the room...only the usual small bottle of shampoo and a small bar of soap in the shower and sink-I usually bring my own shampoo because of a medical condition. I think the hospitality charge is just a "gimmick" for the franchiser to get additional revenue. There was an odor in the room, which was not a "clean" smell-carpet look questionable and a broken window-air conditioner and tv worked as they should-shower looked like it needed extra cleaning around where the door meets where you walk in. One garbage can....located in bathroom. Tried to use the dirty phone to call front desk and it did not work-Location was easy to find. Good parking. Seemed like a safe area. Had a workout room and outside pool that was closed for the season.Bed was confortable and appeared clean.Breakfast was good-the lady in charge was very attentive to customer needs and was probably one of the best employees at this location. Not sure if I will stay at another one of this chain or not-we travel several times a year back and forth from Ohio to Florida and had taken a different route and decided to try this facility.

Property is close to airport. Flights stop around 11 which allows for some sleep. Not much around for dinner which is unfortunate. Shoneys closes as 8. Girl who checked us in Wednesday night was pretty close to rude. Check out thursday morning was better

Good where it counts most. Only stayed one night to break up a long drive. Had late check in around 10pm. Staff was pleasant.
Room was clean and smelled faintly of bleach, but in a good way. Walls were thick, could not hear other guests and the king sized bed was very comfortable (included a box spring - hooray)! Did not hear doors opening & shutting or the elevator either. (We were directly across the hall from the elevator.) Traffic woke me around 6:30 when some large trucks went through, but was able to quickly fall back asleep. Pillows were ok. Temperature was good, had option to leave fan on constant too.
Free breakfast was better than it initially looked. Scrambled eggs & sausage were in small containers with plastic tops. Both were surprisingly tasty - one waffle maker as well.
Property overall would benefit from a refresh. Seems they recently updated the floor in the bathroom which looked nice, walls were also recently painted. Unfortunately the bath door needed to be adjusted to accommodate the new height. Completely shutting it was a challenge and rather loud. We opted to leave the door slightly open to not wake each other. Tub area should be gutted next. Jets in tub did not work (there was a sign so we would know) and tile needs new grout.
Pool was covered during stay in late September :(
Would stay here again if driving the same route. Very conveniently located a couple minutes off the interstate, was easy to get in/out, & parking was good.

A great option close to the airport. One negative is that they charge a $6 "hospitality fee" which is not included in the price until AFTER you arrive. Please just pay your housekeepers a fair wage instead of charging hidden fees and deterring guests from tipping them as they feel appropriate for the service.

Worst Hotel stay ever.
We have stayed in other Sleep Inns before and have agreed they were the best for the Pet Friendly hotels. I checked that this one was Pet Friendly but failed to read the fine print. $120 extra for our 3 small (under 10lbs) dogs. The other Sleep Inns did not charge any extra. Of course our arrival was well past the cancelation time. The manager on staff was not even the slightest sympathetic of our situation. $230 vs $90. What the .........

I stayed at the Sleep Inn hotel from 8/23-8/24. My stay was wonderful. It's a great value for your money. This included parking, gym, pool, breakfast, comfortable beds, great night sleep, cleanliness and pleasant staff.

Be wary of handicapped parking
Economy based hotel is what you would expect. I stayed in three hotels in three different cities in two different states in three days and this was the worst even without the problems with handicapped parking not being maintained, and the general manager not willing to make good on an obvious issue that I’ve never had before.

The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. Lighting seemed a little dim as did the TV screen. The breakfast actually had hot scrambled eggs and sausage patties. The hotel staff was very attentive. We had a good and inexpensive dinner at Shoney's next door. The price on Expedia was not accurate- the basic room cost was $5 more than listed on Expedia and the taxes and fees were $0.40 more than listed on Expedia. I assumed that the error was Expedia's listing since it was less expensive than the hotel's web site. Otherwise it was a good overnight stay.

Good hotel, amazing staff!
It's been a nice place to stay! The hotel itsel isn't as updated, but it's good for the basic needs with an average hotel!
I will say that the taff is amazing! They've been so helpful and accomadating! I've had to extend my stay and make some changes, and they were able to help me figure it all out in a timly, profesisonal, and friendly manor!

They post a Charge on your CC for Incidentals
It was an OK hotel and room. The one thing I found surprising was that they actually charged my CC for the incidentals upfront - $150 - not authorization, but complete charge. I've travelled around the country, and don't ever remember this going beyond authrization. I checked out early, so they had to wait for housekeeping to give the clear to reverse the charge. I did not take any pictures to make sure I was protected.

Furniture was a bit beat up. The bed was VERY comfy, I didn't have much time to sleep. Did grab some breakfast and was able to make some good keto choices. Shower very small, bathroom door didn't close, but everything worked, even if it looked shabby. One warning: Hotel charges a SUPPLY FEE on top of the Hotels.com charge. They do NOT tell you this when you check in. They say "we charging a $120 deposit", it is NOT a hold, but a charge, but then your refund amount is NOT the same, and they say it is for supplies (toilet paper? the shampoo?) they use for cleaning and room. it is Apparently "allowed" by Hotels.com, as I called both property and Hotels.com to see if this was allowed. (apparently it is). Note: it was only $5, but it was the principle of the matter.

You can tell the hotel is being updated in steps. Lobby and breakfast are was nice. New floors throughout lobby and rooms. Our room had an odd smell. Furniture was outdated and chunks were missing from what was in our room. Door to the bathroom was off the track so it was not easy to close, my 9 year old could not at all. Mattresses were extremely stiff and I did not sleep well at all. I obviously knew it would be noisy being next to and airpot, which really did not help me getting comfortable.

This low budget property has the nerve to charge a $40 "early check-in" fee? Appalling!!!
My room smelled like a garbage dump and NO ONE cleaned it during my entire stay. That means no replacement of towels, toilet paper, etc......ZERO services offered.
Additionally, the hotel manager is extremely unfriendly and distant. The words "Thanks for your business" would never enter her unappreciative mind. She wouldn't last two minutes in any viable business.
My parting comment for this dark, dirty, disgusting dump:

Perfect location so it was real easy to find after leaving airport. Gentleman at front desk was very welcoming and helpful. I was tired after day of travelling, and he made check-in quick and easy. Room is comfy and clean!

Hotel was clean, but needs upgrade. Electrical outlets in room do not hold a plug. Road noise in our room was noticeable. Location is great for a "foodie" as most 5 star restaurants are within a 15min car ride.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. We stayed for the TN/SC game and everyone joked and we had a good time with the friendly staff! And then the most precious lady came through while we were getting breakfast and just happy as could be said good morning to everyone. These people need raises!! Good workers are so hard to come by!

We actually reserved a space, but arrived at the property and entered the room after 11 pm. The room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that we reported it to the front desk and left the property. My daughter has terrible asthma and we could not stay. I returned the next morning to speak with the manager and she was not very friendly or helpful. It was difficult to get another reservation that evening. We had to drive to a place 15 minutes away and arrived there at midnight. If the room was smoke free as represented, we would have stayed, but because of the health concern, we left. the gentleman at the desk reported to me that there had been worker in the room earlier in the week who had been fined for smoking in there. The day manager was less forthcoming. She said it didn't smell and that I was essentially out of luck. I will be contesting the charge with my credit card. My number is 609-618-9569. Pleasant stay!
The lady at the front desk was really nice. The first room we had, had mold under the desk. Smelled musty and was really humid because the AC wasnt on. My daughter found something on the bed when doing bed checks. We didnt know what it was. Kinda grossed us out. It was small and round and kinda yellowish brown in color. My daughter did go and talk to the lady at the front desk and she switched our room which was across the hall from the one we had first. This one was much better. Smelled better. AC was on so the room was cooler. Nothing mysterious on the beds. No bed bugs. No roaches. No bugs from what we had seen. The outlets were worn out. Tried to charge our electronics and the plugs couldnt get a good charge or would charge uber slow. Bathroom door wouldnt latch properly and the toliet would continously run if we didnt jiggle the handle after everytime we flushed. Overall its better than having bugs in the room thats for sure!
The breakfast was good. Eggs tasted gritty. But everything else would good. They do keep the coffee out all the time but not the hot water for the tea. They had sleepy time type of tea and no hot water to steep in for at night to help with sleep. Its great for someone that sleeps during the day though cuz they have the hot water in the morning. Everyone that worked there that I came into contact with was pleasant. The things I had mentioned that were issues for me were only minor and will book again with this company.

They made my husband sit outside on the bench for four hours because he could not check in till three. Said he was not to sit inside with the air-conditioning but outside on the bench. But yet he saw others come in and check right in. My husband is not a complainer. He just sat and waited but he was so tired since travel for 12 hours. He just wanted a nap before meeting with our son at Ft
