They site on web "buffet breakfast" and that includes a few different types of breads/starches (3 trays of biscuits, toast, waffle maker) as well as apples and some cereal which i didnt see much in way of milk for. Going to room first night, hallway on 3rd floor was sopping wet the entire night and morning. Finally saw fan in hall next afternoon. Room hadnt been dusted in good while as thick layer noted. Toilet was loose at the base and moving, paper holder was coming out of the wall. Room did not get cleaned entire stay.

This place was very good before the pandemic. It wasn't so good this time. The fridge wasn't working. The room smells not goo. There was limited choices for the breakfast.

DO NOT STAY HERE.
HAD GUEST STAYING HERE 10 DAYS AND THEIR ONE WASHING MACHINE WAS BROKEN THE ENTIRE 10 DAYS. MY GUESTS HAD TO GO FIND A LAUNDRY MAT TWICE.
HOTEL EMPLOYEE (MAID POSSUBLY) LIVED THERE WITH HER 4 KIDS WHO WERE HOODLEMS AND HAD RUN OF THE GUEST COMPUTER AND WERE RUNNING UP AND DOWN
HALLS DURING ENTIRE STAY. ALSO TRASH ALL OVER PARKING LOT.
ROOMS EXTREMEMY SMALL AND NASTY. POCKET DOOR FOR BATHROOM IT WAS SO SMALL FOR 2 DOUBLE BEDS.
I WOULD NOT STAY THERE EVEN IF IT WAS FREE!!!

Bed was horrible my back was killing me after sleeping in the bed. Marijuana smoke on the entire floor. Around 8am loud banging. Definitely wasn't worth the price i paid.

Go-to hotel in the Daytona area
This is our go-to hotel when visiting family in the Daytona area. The breakfast is great, and everything is always clean. We don't experiment with other hotels in this price range - had too many not-soo-great experiences. Sleep Inn is our choice.

It’s a cheep place to sleep
I booked it because it was cheep. Went to see my friends and hardy spent longer that the night in the room. Bed was ok to sleep on. Amenities were ok but could be better. They seemed to be having drain problems because the toilet water was very high. The was a cockroach on the second to last night I was there but at that point I was packing for my flight.
Don’t get me wrong, staff were alway polite and helpful but that can’t make a place better. I’m pretty sure house keepers came into my room while was in the shower despite me being told you have to request house keepers the day before.
The hotel itself only has a single washer and single dryer for the entire building. After washing my clothes it took me 3 hours until the dryer became free. Which stopped working 15 minutes into me using it. Thank god I was close to my friends to dry my clothes.
The breakfast was ok but not much variety with the hot food. Also despite the signs saying no good in rooms, people often took large plates of food. Staff only seemed to stop people they want. No wonder there was cockroaches in the rooms.
The smell of weed in the place was overwhelming at times. Like I know it’s legal but it makes the place worse.
So yeah, cheep for the bed and room but overall not great. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location and good value.
I think the hotel is okay for the price. Just little things like no remote for tv, advertise washer and dryer yet dryer was broken at my check in and still not repaired 4 days later. When ask about it nobody knows nothing?!?

The whole facility needs to be upgraded. There is a feeling of “dirtiness” everywhere. Carpet has to go. Box spring covers are truly dirty. Without the rubber mat you can’t stand in the shower. It’s that slippery. One day accident is bound to happen. Majority of the security latches of the room doors are broken. Towels had some smell. Coffee maker in the room was poorly functioning.
Thanks for the breakfast but the same items every day and the lingering smell half the day create aversion. Friendliness of the staff and convenience make up, to some degree, for the drawbacks.

Let me start by saying if you need a bed for a night, ok. We went here as we had a family emergency and needed to be close to the hospital. Walking up a staff member is yelling about their boyfriend or something while smoking and said, "If they don't like it go somewhere else" as we walker past. The front desk person was nice. The first room had no blackout curtains and the sheets had a black streak or stain on it. We got another room, they quickly accommodated. Half the light switches don't work. The shower was chipped and dirty. The fridge didn't work well and the freezer had ice taking up the entirety of it.
There was a person sleeping in the lobby when we left to visit family, passed out in a chair with an unlit cigarette dropped on the floor.
Leaving to catch a plane the next day at 4:30am people were just hanging out in a car in the parking lot.
The whole 3rd floor smelt of weed and cigarettes despite signs saying no smoking or you will be charged.
Like i said if you need a cheap bed, ok. But I've stayed at comfort inns that are slightly more money and in better conditions.

First off the staff was professional and helpful no issues there and I normally dont expect much from hotels off the expressway, the a/c was leaking water into the room and the carpet was wet , so it smelled musty, anything that was metal was rusted from the moisture in there , so this problem is nothing new rust doesn't form overnight,the sheets and towels some were stained and dirty,there was mold, the toilet wasnt flushing properly, first time i see a roach in a room, for 175 dollars a night i feel i got robbed

This one had to grow on us. The rooms were good, beds were comfy. An average room feeling and looks, not the best but not the worse. We had connecting rooms, and there were doors between the two rooms. We had to really slam the main room door to have them lock, other wise you could push them open, if you think its locked. They should add some handles to the sliding bathroom door, because some of us are not able to get a good finger grip on the slot to move the door. Good side is that there is multiple restaurants in walking distance to eat at. We chose one for each night.

The check in was no problem. What the problem was (1) |the desk between the beds was broken, (2) the toilet was not flushing properly, (3) the toilet paper had no holder, and all this was reported to the front desk after about an hour checking in, and nothing was done at all. The breakfast was terrible. It was a biscuit with a round egg, and round sausage. |The same white gravy, and cereal. The bananas were soft and rotten. No hot chocolate like it was last time we stayed there. The maid walked into the room after knocking I didn't answer, and she just walked in. Asking me are we checking out. Well, go ask the front desk, by the way the front desk should have notify you that 11:00 people were checking out. You didn't have to come into our room and ask that. We have stayed at his hotel several times before, but now don't think we will be returning. It seems like it is going down, but in a very nice area surroundings.

I didn't like the fact I asked Idella for some fresh wash cloths and was told she had some washing and I never received any, I stayed there for 7 nights was was treated like I didn't derserve fresh cloths. That wasn't fair at all.

When I booked I didn't know the pool was emptied and being repaired. We stay only at this hotel when we go to Daytona and paid full price. We stay here because of the POOL! No pool means unhappy customer. Breakfast is poorly done and out of food. The room felt clamey and damp.

From the momnet we got there it was quiet which is a plus lol nikki the front desk clerk was absolutely phenominal!!! If u want somwwhere that clean, quiet, and very nice, this is the place for you! We even stayed an extra 2 nights. We will be back!

I liked that it was closed to where I needed to be.
I did not apréciate de that the top cover was stained and the sheets had a lot of hair. Asked for new blankets and sheets and I had to changes them myself. I was denied a second set for the second bed in the room. Finally a second set was provided, and some of them were stains or dirty.
The night stag lacks of costumer service manner, as she stated that costumers do all this, place hair on the beds to be change to better rooms.
I was under the impression that $ 132 dollars for a night stay is not consider economic to find all this inconvenience.
Spoke with management in the morning and that did not ment anything.

I booked here because I was spending a day in Tampa. I had family coming from Texas and was visiting Universal Studios. It was during spring break so wasn't sure if the prices were going to be sky high. Well I found this room reasonably priced and comfortable. The shower door urked me ac little because it didn't seal properly and got water on the floor but other than that, no complaints! We slept so well, we asked for a late chuck out. We ate their complimentary breakfast that wasn't just bagels and coffee. Biscuits, gravy, sausage and WAFFLES like real deal Belgium Sweet waffles! Hoping to make this one of our regular hotels when traveling. THANKS EXPEDIA!

Very very Pleased with my Stay at the Sleep Inn
I recently Stayed at the Sleep Inn in Ormond Beach, FL. My stay was in order that I enjoy the 2023 Bike Week Activities. I found the Sleep Inn just by luck and it looked nice when researched the Hotel. I ended up Staying at the Sleep Inn for my trip. 5 days in the hotel was wonderful. the Folks were always so polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. I will be staying at this Sleep Inn again in the future.

Not as advertised. Not clean, in disrepair (e.g. bathroom door off its hinges). All outside noise gets in. Non-smoking rooms still smell strongly of smoke. Staff is completely unhelpful, best offer was “some fabreez” for a smoke allergy. Strongly recommend against staying here.

Horrible Experience!
The internet in my room stopped working and because I am an online university professor I went to the front desk (after calling them and they did not pick up) to see if they could look into that. I was treated extremely rudely -- and CRUDELY. The night manager was throwing the "F" word around at me like crazy and held up her iPhone to say "there is nothing wrong with our internet". I told her that that was apples and oranges as they did not work the same way. She "F'd" me again over and over, threatening to throw me out and call the police (Which I almost did). I am 70 years old and have never been treated in such a defamatory and rude manner in my lifel I have stayed in Sleep Inns all over the country and have always been pleased. I will never stay at this one again!!! My brother-in-law, Joe Putting, is the head pastor at Tomoka Christian Church which is not far from this facility. I have told him about this and he has indicated he will never recommend the Ormond Sleep Inn ever again because of the treatment I received. I was so upset I left and went and stayed at my sister's house and slept on the couch because I was fearful of the people working. Horrible experience!!!

Not worth the money
Bed was not comfortable was hard. The water pressure was bad took longer to shower. The check in lady was grouchy. Area was decent for a quick overnight stay, but wouldnt stay there again.

This is an older motel and sure needs to be upgraded. Cleanliness was tolerable but could have been better. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was provided and was decent and comparable to other hotels. Staff was fine but could have been more professional and cheerful.

Should NEVER stayed there
We chose this hotel because it was close to where we were visiting over the Christmas holiday. Very disappointed. EXTREMELY noisy with slamming of doors and LOUD Televisions on ALL hours of the night. People talking and smoking pot right outside our room where it was coming right into our room because the window did NOT CLOSE properly NOR did it even LOCK!! (ABSURD) You ask, "why didn't we go talk to the front desk" my answer is because we were NOT impressed by THAT person either. My wife went up THREE times to tell her our BOTH keys were not working in the back door in the back. This was the door closest to our room. I stood out in the cold (I'm disabled), waiting for her to get these keys corrected. BOTH times she returned, BOTH keys AGAIN, did not work in the door! I realize it was Christmas weekend however, definitely not appropriate. I SHOULD be requesting a refund and NO thank you if you were considering a FREE future stay. Way too many decent hotels in the area (which we noticed while there) if we decide to visit again. EXTREMEMLY DISSATISFIED! Michael & Sally Renaud (Springhill FL)

Some issues with hotel that need to be addressed.
Room was ok, but large crack in window, toilet squealed when flushing loudly. Otherwise, rest of room was nice. Not thrilled with breakfast, pre made round eggs out of package and not great sausage patty. Waffle machine broken. No yogurt and not good choice of cereal. Not up to standards of other hotel breakfast.

Everywhere in the room there was a feeling that it was not properly cleaned and toilet was not sanitized.
Room door required a forceful closure. Otherwise it could be easily opened just with a push. This gave insecure feeling.
There is no daily cleaning or bed making. I understand that this policy is adopted by many hotels due to staff shortages. After two nights and despite telling the manager on duty room didn’t get cleaned and bed wasn’t made.

Staying calm during Hurricane
Stay was during the passage of Hurricane Ian thru Daytona beach /Ormond beach ,the motel lost power for 2 days but personnel did their best to accommodate the guests.

Was close to Walmart and a few restaurants and dinning places.
Very small shower bring a shower hang over thing if you bring shampoo or shower gels and soaps. Not much room in the showers. Bring your own pellows i I would suggest, the little refrigerator hardly got cold! Not much variety of breakfast if you having any extended stay, 2 or 3 days. I suggest sleeping in and they are breakfast place's close by.
