We wanted a clean quiet place that was inexpensive for the night. Just what we needed and close to the highway! Nothing fancy- but what do you expect. Staff was friendly.

Theyre wasnt e en a trash can in the room, mine looked like a warden of a prison designed it. Trying to fit a hotel room into a 12×8ft cell , no contraband here, no place to even put your stuff. Not a dresser , only a 2ft rack over the mini desk to try to hang some clothes up. walk in shower. I had to put everything on my bed to try to go through my stuff. No room to walk in there. Its a homeless shelter room spruced up a bit. I paid for 3 nights left after first ,took the loss. Should have known better than to pick a Pensacola hotel.

The location is easy on/off from I-10 and there is a gas station and 4-5 food places in walking distance. And less than 2 miles N is a Dunkin Donuts and Walmart grocery store. Our room was clean and basic, but meet our needs. Best of all - Dogs stay free!!!

The smell of this hotel is unbearable. The overall appearance of the property is poor. Guest appeared to be residing there, as people were sitting in the hallway as if they were sitting on their front porch. I reserved 2 nonsmoking rooms, but that definitely wasn't the case. I attempted to walk in one of the rooms and was immediately disgusted. This property is disgusting!!

The room was alright, but you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned. There was hair on the floor when I got there and I stayed for 3 nights and the housekeeper only came once to straighten up my room. There were guests sitting in the hallway and it was loud, but I just attributed that to the holiday weekend. It’s alright if you don’t have a lot of options, but it wouldn’t be my first choice when I come back to Pensacola. The best thing about the hotel is the location. But no one bothered me so that’s cool too

Extremely Disappointed in this Hotel
The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that the bed was comfortable. Everything else was awful. Rundown, dated and very dirty. The bottoms of my feet were black after walking around the room for a few minutes. Light bulbs were missing in lamps. The shower had no hot water!! And for this we paid just over $100. We will NOT be back!

I got in at 3am after driving for over 16 hrs straight. I called ahead of time explaining that I was going to be getting in very late and was assured that was fine. When I arrived I was told there was an issue with me checking in because it was past midnight (I had called earlier in the day to avoid this). They finally told me they fixed it and if there was an issue they’d handle it in the morning. So I went to my room and went to sleep and then almost an hour later right after falling asleep the staff member present knocked on my door waking me and told me I’d have to come back to the front desk and pay for an additional nights stay when I would be leaving in a couple hours and we’ll within my original reservation. I just paid the extra night rather than argue at the time because I needed rest as I had another long day of driving to come but the whole experience was ridiculous and it is my intention to make my experience know on every reviews site possible.

Hotel employees tried to open my room door several times without knocking. One employee said she needed to check the toilet. She proceeded to stand there and spray bleach into the toilet brown. When I asked if the toilet was leaking or needed repair she bizarrely answered “No I’m just cleaning up the nastiness.” Not sure what she meant or why she was there. On the day of checkout an employee attempted to enter my room without knocking. Fortunately I had the security lock in place. I opened the door and she asked if I was checking out. It was only 8:30 AM. As I was making trips down to my vehicle to load up I realized that my room door didn’t even lock. No matter how hard I slammed it the door would not lock. The only way to lock it was from inside the room with the deadbolt and security latch. A very bizarre and unsettling experience overall.

Good; But there's always room for improvement.
The room was for the most part very cozy and nice and clean; what could've been better was the television could've been bigger and more easier for me to set up my Apple TV, if The mattress didn't have any springs, and if the air conditioner gets replaced because it left a slight dirt smelling type odor But it wasn't too overwhelming.

I would advise you to stay somewhere else. Upon arrival the lobby looked ok, but the hallways smelled like mildew.
We had mold on the ceiling above the window. The “pocket-door” to our bathroom was a interior door shoved into the pocket door slot, no lock and you could see through the hole where a door knob should go.
Also if you are looking for a relaxing pool day, don’t book here, the pool was green.
This hotel is very poorly maintained.

Would not recommend this hotel. We booked this at last minute after showing up to our hotel originally booked and immediately leaving. The lobby was decent but hallways smelled like mildew.
Got into our room, all we had time to do was change clothes. Later that night when we got back we noticed there was mold on the ceiling & lampshades. We asked for more towels, the ones provided had stains on them.

Booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. Got to the hotel and checked in and each room had 1 bed. They didn’t even mention it or anything we just had to find out by surprise that they ran out of rooms with 2 beds. Then we were told it’s pit problem to deal with. Terrible customer service

Paid for 2 nights,got there checked in to room 200had to change room all you could smell was mold.second room was the same but not as bad.rm 228.no T.V.wanted to check out the second night wouldn’t give us a refund.said didn’t have to.the rm was very nasty.bed covers were dirty.think we should have gotten a refund.never stay at a red roof again.very over priced for what you get,nothing

This was an ok hotel but it could use some love. There were water stains on the ceiling, smelled of mildew, and the pillows were SUPER flat. We asked for more to stack but they didn't have any.

Sorry to say, there wasn't anything about this property that would make me want to return. I chose it because of price and location, and even those weren't great for the money. I wish I could be more positive.
As for downers, where do I begin? Check-in was OK, but about 10 PM after I had drifted off to sleep I heard loud talking in the hallway. So I actually went out to check, and discovered it was coming from the front desk where the night staff were speaking in very loud voices. To their credit they apologized and quieted down.
The design of the room was odd, with a sliding door into the toilet and shower, and it was difficult to open. the AC/heat unit was one of those window jobs that cycled off and on all night. The TV remote did not work except for on/off and volume, and the channel couldn't be changed even using the buttons on the set. The walls between rooms were paper-thin, and we could hear our neighbors talking and laughing clearly. They woke me up twice.
Maybe my biggest beef was that there was no breakfast, not even packaged rolls. And the coffee service that was offered was very meager. Motels have used Covid as an excuse to shut down breakfasts, and it sucks. At least they could try to have good coffee.

Property is well kept by the staff. Friendly staff as well. It's definitely one of the nicer Red Roof Inns. Area around the hotel is mediocre, but not horrible. For the price and cleanliness, you can't go wrong.

The room was not clean when we arrived. The receptionist attempted to clean it herself (although it should be the job of housekeeping). Even after the “cleaning”, it seemed that the beds had been used and sheets were not clean).

Don’t waste your time or money with this hotel!
Room smelled like pee and was dirty, sheets were damp to the touch and had hair on them. Asked for a different room but it wasn’t any better. Ended up going to another hotel close by and losing the $180 non-refundable room fee. Nice racket they've got going. Still charged us for the room even though there were no services rendered. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS HOTEL!!!

Just so so expensive. They couldn’t even give us extra towels or extend our stay 2 extra hours- even though we travel so much and any other hotel would- we even offered to pay. Staff was not friendly at all. The front desk lady looked like checking us in was an inconvenience to her watching TV. Room was dirty, broken things- like the toilet paper rack and the towel rack. Just sad for what we paid. We have stayed in cheaper places that were way better.

At check-in, the clerk was very polite, friendly and helpful. That was the only good part of the entire experience. We didn't expect it to be perfect because of the area, but for the outrageous weekend prices, we expected it to be clean. both rooms were filthy and it was okay with the staff. I'm not talking like it was a little dusty and the old smell, but like hair in the shower in multiple areas, spills on the floors, mildew damage, sticky spill on the desk top and food crumbs in the drawers. The bed in one room had brown spots that were clearly not washed (not stains). With a nonrefundable and no rooms anywhere in the area, this was a total fail. I hate this for the one employee that was decent.

Definitely basic.
Hotel wasn't amazing. It is basically just a place to lay your head. Over-priced rooms for the quality. Did not appear that the room was cleaned very well as there was dirt on the floor and hair in the shower. Definitely nothing fancy about this hotel.

I did not stay in the room based on the conditions i saw within the first 5 minutes. Walked into the room, immediately noticed a dog /musty / smoke smell. The light switch to the bathroom was cracked in half and didn’t work safely. My bed had blood on the blanket, the sheets inside and hair in the bed. The clerk at the desk said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to a manager, he was called on the phone and also said there is nothing he can do. No one seemed to care or were surprised by the disgustingness of the room. Unless you’re looking to contract something or get shocked with electricity, don’t stay here.

Had to wait at the desk to check in because the hostess was gone somewhere. She switched our room because we were originally next to the owners suite/hotel managers suite and they had a baby that cries a lot….a/c in the room smelled musty and definitely wasn’t working properly. Picture attached showed a maximum “charge” for the room that was WAY lower than what we were charged. The hostess also informed us at check in that they only received 290.00 of the 337 that we paid and that we should have been charged over 400 for the room for one night. There were dog hairs all over the floor and a/c unit. Hairs on the sheets. The floor didn’t look like it had been mopped in a while.

I'll never stay here again. The room was dirty, the towels and sheets were dirty. When I asked if I could change some of the towels and sheets I was told they were completely out of them and we were stuck with what we had.
Both nights of our stay we were woken up at night due to a couple fighting, they must have screamed for 1 hour, slamming doors, it even got physical at one point. The staff must not have cared because they did nothing to stop it.
This place is definitely not worth the money.

Rooms are not clean. Shower sprayed water everywhere and leaked outside of the shower--causing quite a mess to clean up. AC not very cold. Only 2 pillows per bed.
I do not recommend this hotel for people with young children.
We checked out as soon as we could the next day.

If your driving a big truck there is no parking for you walked into the hotel smelled like marijuana the front desk lady kept forgetting everything then told me my room number and gave me to receipt but no key and walked away to talk on her cell phone room was terrible floor was sticky the cleaning person left the ax as low at it could go so the room seemed to be frosted over it was so cold shower was scummy I’ll never go back guess that’s what you get staying at a red roof in paying 200$ a night

Never staying at red roof again.
This experience was terrible. Got in late so we were tired just to find that the toilet wouldn’t flush so it over flowed into the room. The front desk didn’t even help, just handed us a plunger.
We wanted to leave but couldn’t due to late hour.
The next day they would compensate us for the night we stayed just the night we didn’t.
So we left to find another form of hotel. Terrible experience and terrible customer service.

Won't stay at a Red Roof Inn ever again
Dirty, dirty vinyl plank floors. No tub, just shower. Drains have an issue... no hair dryer ... world's smallest tv was almost comical. Not serving any type of breakfast or offering prepackaged. Ran out of coffee in the lobby before 8:30am. Frig has no freezer so couldnt refreeze ice packs. Charging people $297 last night. I have never paid so much for so little.

The employees were so very nice and professional. The room was very clean. The cleaning solvents were so strong you can nearly taste them (not too pleasant, but tolerable under circumstance). The room is outdate and shows its age, but in fairly good condition considering its looks of age (popcorn ceiling, wear and tear, some stains on bedding). The biggest "negative" was the ability to hear through the walls in the next room; the morning noise was horrible. Not all customers are up during the day (I work nights and stay up at night). Also, speaking of nights, the way the count of a day spent at all hotels don't consider people who are awake at night and sleep during the day. For example, if I need to sleep all day, I'll need to pay for two nights just to stay long enough to get the sleep I need. Again, I truly enjoy the employees being so nice and professional. I can't say I'll be seeking Red Roof Inn as my first choice due to the noise level, but, it will always be on the list when needed.

Terrible cleanliness.
This place is terrible. Starting in the lobby the carpet looked water damaged and all of the wood for the stairs looked like it had been scraped with a knife. Inside the room smelled of mold, stains on the bedding. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was falling out the wall and everything was dingy. We left the room as soon as we walked in and found elsewhere to stay.
