Was in Harrisonburg visiting my son who attends JMU. This hotel was very close to the University, shopping, and dining. Will definitely stay here again.

This Quality Inn was better than expected. We were there during a slower period, but hotel was very spacious. The breakfast seating area was small, the free breakfast had a nice variety. We had a king size bedroom, our bathroom was very small, if you were a big person, not sure how you would manage. I would definitely stay there again.

,breakfast was included which I suppose added value even if it was serve yourself with paper cups and plastic knives and a limited choice .

Clean and convenient
We stayed here thanks to the great reviews. The hotel was as promised- nice staff, easy check in (very late.) The room was dated but very clean. My only caution would be for light sleepers. We were given a room with an adjoining door. You could really hear the neighbors. Ours were up early (like us) but we could hear their voices just talking at a normal- even quiet- volume. It didnt matter for us, but a heads up if you are a light sleeper.

Overall good hotel.
Overall good hotel, most of the room was clean. However bathroom wall were gross, streaked with scum maybe caused by lack of ventilation. Toilet and shower were clean so maybe the cleaning crew doesn’t notice the walls.

Don’t stay here.
We were shocked when we opened the door to our first room and found someone else occupying it. The second room has no hot water. When I called the front seat they said give it a half hour and try again. We did to no avail and no resolution from management. Hotel staff just walked into our second room unannounced to clean it while we were still there. And the vending machines sold expired soda and snacks. We will not be staying in another quality inn on future trips.

Economy experience among a group of motels
First time at the location. Comfortable enough (heat/ac unit didn't function consistently), service was good. Location was excellent - convenient to dining, shopping and JMU. Several other chain motels nearby that were more expensive (a little to a lot more) - next trip I'm going to try one of them.

Weekend in Town
The hotel was clean from the lobby to our room. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was warm and with a good variety of options. I would stay there again!

The aajoining room next to us had kids. They were lound screaming and from midnight to 2 am they kept opening the door and knocking on our door.
At breakfast there was nothing but gravy, no sausage or biscuits, there was no fruit.

Safe Convenient
FANTASTIC! Had a wonderful one night stay on my way to see my parents. I was traveling alone and felt safe and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and extremely convenient. Plenty of food options and a Walmart in the shopping center less than a half mile away.

The room was not vacuumed, toilet and tub were dirty. There was no soap. When we asked for soap they said it was coming tomorrow. They gave us shampoo to wash with. Breakfast was underwhelming.

I read reviews saying not clean but i saw no evidence of that very clean room bed fairly comfortable i slept well one review said curtains didnt close we i just put a sneaker on them and they were closed. No one was at the desk for me to check out ( i left key card in room ) so i couldnt leave key as sign said now as far as breakfast basically all that was offered was waffles no bagels no toast there were tiny apples basically no breakfast

I arrived after midnight and the front desk attendant was friendly and worked to quickly get me in my room. He is the friendliest desk attendant I've had in years.The rooms was great, the bed was comfy and it in a great location.

The remote did not work, The ice machine was broken on the 3rd floor. The curtains did not close and the lights outside were bright. The room smelled musty. The breakfast int he morning was good with a good variety. The staff was friendly. The location is great with lots of stores and restaurants around.

Property was great. Expedia F'ed up. Booked 2 rooms but Expedia only booked one with the hotel. Had to pay for a 3rd room and i was told this is normal with Expedia. Now i gotta fight Expedia for my $100 back

The customer service was beyond excellent. After check in and going out for dinner we returned to our room and settled in. After a short while the heating unit started to make a loud noise. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and was immediately given another room.
This is a well managed Property and I would highly recommend it.

I was charged a pet fee that I was not aware would be the case after calling and speaking with Eric about our late check, due to driving 898 miles in rain and horrible traffic. I asked him if the room rate was still the same as I booked it even being a now pet friendly room, because main purpose was to drive in and pick my ESA puppy, he stayed room rate was indeed the same, NEVER mentioned a pet fee, which I feel unprofessional and that I should have been able to have that waived due to his misinformation.

Our hotel room was very clean and offered all the amenities that are expected, all in working order. The staff were very friendly and professional. What we liked best was the hot continental breakfast that was served the next day. My friend and I visited 5 hotels during our recent trip, and the Quality Inn at Harrisonburg, VA offered the best value by far, for the money spent. Booking with Expedia was also very convenient and we got a great price. My only complaint is that the room smelled like stale food when we first went in. But turning the fan on in the bathroom and spraying the room with disinfectant took care of that promptly. On my next trip, I will be looking to stay at a Quality Inn once again.

Stayed in a room on the 1st floor and the heating/cooling system was extremely loud. There was also no insulation from the noise of our neighbors - could hear them as if they were in the room with us when they came in in the middle of the night. Barely got any sleep that night. Staff was very nice though

Great stay for a great value. Room was clean and breakfast was delicious. Recommend the biscuits and sausage gravy. My only criticism is the sheets were thin but the comforter was thick so I wasn’t cold.

The bathroom was completely outdated with a tiny toilet the would clog up with just a small amount of tissue paper. The sink started leaking the morning I left. The elevator was dirty and so were all the hallways.

Quality Inn at Harrisonburg was OK, but the room was not well cleaned before my stay, found cookies/candy under the chair in the room.
I had a handicapped accessible room that was next to the access to the rear parking area. Every time someone came through that door the wall of the room shook loudly. I was awakened by this sound several times during the night.
The dining area (for breakfast) was hard to navigate on a scooter, not a lot of room around tables.
I'll plan to stay elsewhere next time.

One night stay...Robert (?) checked us in. He was friendly, kind, and funny. He gave us a restaurant recommendation that fit our needs perfectly.

The front desk staff was excellent. My key card did not work on my room, and he made sure that my key worked by going to the door to try himself. When the new card failed to work, he immediately gave me a new room. He was swift and courteous.
Unfortunately the housekeeping was lacking. Dried blue toothpaste left in the sink and quite a bit of gunky debris on the floor at the base of the toilet. Not appealing and was very easy to spot.
The poor housekeeping will likely cause me to choose a different hotel. as we come to Harrisonburg frequently to visit our child at JMU.

Third times a charm
The greeting when I arrived was pleasant however three times in the day I was departing the maid came into my room at 8:30am 9:30 am and then again at 10:15am when check out was 11am. The first time they walked in and then left, the second time the front desk called apologized and said that I had turned in my keys at the front desk so they thought I left (despite me having both my keys in my possession and the third time ( my favorite) was the most annoying. The maid walked in and I was standing there in my bra and she chatted away about how this shouldn’t have happened and the old lady at the front desk always does this and they don’t communicate with them. All of this while I’m standing in my doorway with only my bra on. The accommodations weren’t bad, just average but so was the price. Additionally the pool was open but no cushions were on any of the metal chairs so you couldn’t sit on them and the gym was dirty and laughable. The staff smelt like marijuana! To some that might be a good thing. Not my cup of tea. For a bit extra I will stay at one of the other hotels. There are many in the vicinity, literally walking distance.

The beds were a tad hard but I did sleep well once I turned a few times. That was my only “complaint” if you want to call it that. Clean with hot breakfast. Fun guy at the front desk. Dogs stay one wing only per staff which was a plus for us as I am a light sleeper:) love dogs just not barking ones:)

The Quality Inn is conveniently located near restaurants & shopping. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The room is clean & large. Bed is comfortable. The place looks well kept. This is the second time I have stayed at this particular Quality Inn & I would stay here again.

No towels at pool. Had to go to front desk, where clerk demanded name and room number twice. Guests should not be treated like thieves because the hotel drops the ball.

I thought the room was great, very standard hotel room, very neat and clean. The ONLY issue I had was that the a/c unit was noisy. I don't mind a humming/thrumming a/c unit, they can be loud, but it was when it would temporarily turn off and then turn back on again. There was an audible 'Click!' when the compressor would kick in, and it disrupted my sleep and kept me from getting to sleep. Everything else was good. Staff were great.

Great front desk staff and manager. Room service isn't daily; however, finding someone in the hallway and requesting tissue, coffee, or cups was always met with a smile and quick response.
