Needs updating. Furniture was beat up. Room had a foul odor…perhaps from shower drain.
Breakfast was powdered eggs and lukewarm sausage links or patties. Always running out of coffee. Hot plate didn’t keep food warm. Hard to believe it’s part of the Hyatt properties.

I did not like that i could not get coffee easily at 5:30a.m. before my flight. No lights on where coffee is kept. Breakfast starts at 7 but coffee should be available sooner.
The pool area is in sad shape. Broken chairs/reclining ones. Coming from WI 68/70 and sunny in January is relaxing by the pool time. The pool was very disappointing.

Great Location
Great location, wonderful customer service, nice spacious rooms, comfy bed. Bathroom feels a bit dated but it is not a deal breaker. Walking distance to Old town Scottsdale. Good complimentary breakfast.

The hotel is very old, a little run-down. Shower was slow to drain, bathroom door was very worn out and chipping. Carpets were dirty and trash was on the floors and on tables near elevators everyday of our stay.

It was very loud because of the night club next to the hotel. The hotel provides ear plugs but there is no warning from the hotel that this will be an issue.

I had reserved two rooms, each with a king sized bed. Each room we received had two double beds. This property is close to old town and walkable, but a new night club next door seems to have really impacted the noise and parking lot cleanliness

This property is not as advertised . We chose this hotel because of its rating. The area is sketchy and the hotel parking is shared with a night club . The entry has dirty silk plants that look like they have been there for years . The hotel decor is worn and outdated . Lighting in the rooms is fluorescent and our coffee maker didn’t work . Towels smelled old
And so the room . We booked 4 nights only stayed 1
Would not recommend this property.

Favorite hotel on cross country trip
Our favorite hotel - room was spacious, lots of mirrors since we had 3 people getting ready, sink was outside bathroom and loads of counter space. Beds were comfy too. Easy walk to restaurants and shops

Loud night clubs in the same parking lot. Loud / drunk patrons from the club make noise all night outside in the parking lot. Breakfast was included, but was not good at all. I will never stay at this hotel again - will likely avoid all Hyatt Place hotels going forward. They should disclose about the noise problem on their website (they know about the problem since ear plugs were provided in the room without asking).

Great location and comfortable room.
Enjoyed this room so much, comfortable beds, large comfortable couch and great TV...only drawback was small bathroom, but shower worked beautifully. Free breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit cups and fresh bananas, toasted assorted breads and the juice and coffee was delicious, even had several tea flavors, we got full!!!

Did not sleep well due to fighting outside most of the night and yelling. Will not use Expedia ever again to book hotel as they overbooked and did not have king size that was booked and hotel was completely booked, however, the front desk moved someone else to accommodate us.

We have stayed here a few times. This time we felt it had gone a tad downhill. Noone likes to see loads of black stuff around shower door. Upholstery in lobby very stained, wood coffee table should be tossed. All 3 morning we had black bananas to chose from. All 3 mornings! Staff was always pleasant. It needs some TLC.

Stayed here several years ago. Since then the hotel rooms and hallways have become very tired. Great location. Staff very friendly. Our room’s bathroom was in need of several repairs. Back of door stained. Tub spout was loose. Hallway carpet very stained.

What a great location! Walking distance to tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. Much better than downtown Phoenix. Hotel was nice, free breakfast, didn't check out the pool as it was too cold, quiet, and nice amount of space in the room. Nothing fancy, but updated enough and the staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel is right next a to a night club. Would be great if you are in Scottsdale/old town for a party.
If you are there for work the ear plugs they provide will not help.

Great location, walking distance to everything in Old Town, but other than that the hotel itself was just okay. Clean but dated, beds and bedding weren’t spectacular and breakfast was blah. For the price range it was worth it to be that close to Old Town, but don’t expect to be wowed.

Nice hotel
The hotel itself is nice. Room was comfortable. Did miss having a hot tub and a microwave. The location is next to a night club in the alley behind and the loudness and disruption interrupted our sleep both nights till very early morning. Most likely won’t choose that location again.

I have been staying in Hyatt Place hotels for years, Houston and Tempe. I thought the one in Scottsdale would be the same. I was very disappointed with how old is this one. Very dark, and obsolete, every single detail is old. Unfortunately my next visit to Scottsdale I will be staying in another hotel.

I called the day before to request an early check-in, which didn't happen. "Not guaranteed." One elevator was broken on Saturday. So this morning BOTH elevators were broken, causing us to make several trips up and down three flights to check out. Breakfast was gone at 9:00 - served until 10:00 I waited for scrambled eggs for about 25 minutes. They were not good. No orange juice at breakfast, meaning they don't even serve orange juice at breakfast. The bed was extremely hard.

Where’s the quality?
Hallways are dingy and poorly lit. Scratches on every door. Wallpaper are curling in many spots in the room and in public areas. Wait forever for elevator door to open at the landings. Pillowcases with black grease stains. Sheets and PCs not ironed. Pool bottom was not vacuumed. Coffee ran out several times. Not a single day with bacon. Breakfast is not what was pictured-no fruit, no cold cuts nor salmon. Shower needs bulb, but even in the dim, mildew or mold can be seen on the grout. We cannot shower on 4th evening because they tore out the shower controls to stop leak in the room below. I stay at Hyatts when I can, but this is an embarrassment to Hyatt. Sad that standards have gone down.

I booked this hotel because the room size and condition was good for the price. Parking was easy the location was very convenient for walking around Old Town Scottsdale. Breakfast was nothing special and they use disposable utensils and styrofoam plates---not very classy or environmentally friendly. The hotel's lobby and dining areas were small and not particularly remarkable, but we had a short stay and were focused and seeing Phoenix, not the inside of the hotel!

Hotel is clean and generally OK but the fitness enter was a joke with 2x old treadmills, 1x cyclical and a recumbent bike. Zero, nada, zilch.

When checking in, my room had dirty towels on the bathroom ground, it had a pee mark on the toliet, and it smelt of smoke. There was construction happening in two rooms, across and beside my room which would have been nice to know at check in. The check in process was fine but the staff was not friendly. I watched guests say good morning when attending breakfast and no reply from the front desk staff. I found this rude as they should be greeting each guest who walks by. The pool was full of leaves and dirt, luckily it was windy so it pushed to one side of the pool. It would be nice if it was cleaned at any point throughout the day or leave a net for a guest to clean it.

My only disappointment was i was there for 4 nights and my room was never cleaned, i daily had to take the trash down the hall to a larger trash bin… but other then that, wonderful stay

We liked the location, easy to get to the old town and we like Hyatt Place since it has a living and bedroom area that offers a little more space.
The breakfast is nice in that it is there for convenience but not really very good food and they were swamped on Monday morning and just kept being out of everything. It was better on Tuesday but less people there also.

The hotel clearly did not skimp on bedding, slept like a baby both nights, where normally I struggle with sleep. The only minor issue we had was parking - accessing parking, especially at night was confusing and a little difficult.

Violation of Privacy
Well, where to start. I checked in on Wednesday. Checked in, was given a key to my pre-paid room, had dinner at the bar downstairs, chatted with the staff, got in the pool. Went to my meetings on Thursday morning. Again, grabbed a drink at the bar, talked with the staff about where to get dinner. Went to the place recommended. All great, right? Then, I get back to my room about 8:30 pm, start getting ready for a shower before bed, laying out my clothes. And well! A STRANGER OPENS MY DOOR WITH A KEY. A key that the front desk gave her!!!! I scream "WHO ARE YOU!" My heart was racing. She was as SHOCKED as I am. She shows me her key -- clear as day, Room 515 (MY ROOM) written on the front, and told me the front desk just checked her in.
We walk down together to the front desk. The front desk person (Gerardo) starts GRILLING me about "where my ID is" and "show me proof that that is your room." I explained that obviously my wallet is upstairs IN MY ROOM that I have been staying in. I show him my booking reservation ID and ask for a supervisor (Sirena B. - Front Desk Manager), who explains there's nothing she can do, because I booked through a "third party" (Hotels.com). I explain to her that Hotels.com didn't make the mistake -- THE HOTEL DID by giving a full access key TO A STRANGER to my room.
