Dear Manager of The Sheraton Pentagon City,
I hope this letter finds you well. I recently had the pleasure of staying at your esteemed hotel from Tuesday, January 23, 2024, until Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Room # (414).
First and foremost, I would like to commend your staff for their exceptional friendliness and professionalism. Their warm and welcoming demeanor truly enhanced my overall experience.
However, I regret to inform you that on the night of Saturday, January 27, an unfortunate incident occurred. A mouse found its way into our room, causing some distress. In an effort to minimize any disturbance, I refrained from making excessive noise as my 82-year-old father, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was sleeping. I was concerned that any commotion might disrupt his sleep or make him anxious throughout the night. Consequently, I chose not to confront our unexpected visitor. It saddens me to encounter such a situation at a renowned establishment like Sheraton, which I have always regarded as a paragon of excellence in the hospitality industry.
Upon checking out, I promptly informed your staff about the incident. They kindly advised me to provide a written letter detailing the situation in order to address the matter appropriately and arrange for a credit for the last night of our stay.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. I trust that your esteemed establishment will handle this issue

Our stay was just fine. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is when I asked the front desk about buying a bottle of water, I was told that the vending machines were on odd floor numbers starting a few floors up. I took the elevator up to every floor that had vending, and they were all sold out of everything except one finally had Diet Pepsi. Having easy access to a bottle of water should be a given at any hotel - and honestly, I shouldn’t have to take a 20 min field trip to try to get some. Having an upright cooler near the front desk like most hotels would be the obvious solution.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The check in process was quick and the service overall was great. Parking at the hotel was easy and convenient.

Service at the restaurant was horrible. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, when there was only two other tables dining in the restaurant. The server was very sweet and voiced how understaffed they were and sorry for the inconvenience. Food was horrible. The bartender looked at us standing at the hostess desk for 15 minutes and never offered help or explained why no one was there to seat us.

Made several calls to the front desk, and no one answered. Where was everyone?
But worst of all, when my husband and I entered the elevator on the morning of 1/23/24, there were drops of blood all over the floor of the elevator. When we got off on the lobby floor, there were drops of blood on the floor there as well. What the heck was that all about? What a prime place to get a blood borne infection, not to mention the yuck factor. Disgusting.

Ok at first glance
This hotel had a very nice lobby… enticing you in the hotel… making u think it’s gonna be a nice place… but as soon as u step into the elevator to the rooms… it’s an old jankey elevator… kinda scary.. so we get to the room it seems ok it looked clean at first glance… so there’s no hot water at all… had to call the maintenance guy twice.. he twisted something under the sink said it’s ok now… the water was warm at best not hot for about a minute then went cold… then I go to flush the toilet and it just overflowed.. water all on the floor.. the maintenance guy came and plunged it so it was good after but considering we stayed here one time before and it was no hot water the first time we thought maybe it was just a bad day… but the second time … we also wanted to get food . There is a stop in the hotel that closed at 9pm. So if u wanna get anything like water u have to go to the bar. There’s vending machine on every other floor for chips and chocolate snacks and even floor for water… weird ? Not much of food outside the hotel either it’s not in the best location for anything. we won’t be back.

Our flight was canceled after many delays and we reached out around 11 pm to find an available room. The hotel had an available room and was only 1.8 miles from the airport. They were very accommodating . The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had an amazing view of the Pentagon when we woke up! The hotel offered a free shuttle to the airport, which was so helpful! Very grateful for this place- they helped up out of a tight spot!

Great hotel
This hotel was a great value. It was inexplicably cheap on the day we stayed there, and the hotel was comfortable and nice. Easily accessed from the highway.

My first two nights in the hotel the hot water in the room was not working at all. The concierge was so awesome to us that they gave us a different room immediately. It was a bit smaller than the first room BUT at least we had hot water.

Wind was blowing outside last night and it was making the curtains in the room move meaning air was coming threw a window that you can’t open in this particular hotel took hour to heat room up room and wondered why until I cut heat off and curtains kept moving from the wind outside.

Stay away from this hotel
We stayed at this hotel with family for 3 days. Hotel is ok but the parking and getting in to floors is nightmare.
In order for me to get to my room from the parking lot, I have to take 3 separate elevators.

What a surprise......
I'm a frequent traveler and I would rate this experience 3 stars, but the front desk staff LaMika H. earned an additional star for the stay that's why it's a 4 stars review.
First thing first, I was greeted by LaMika upon arrival, and I'm impressed by her friendlyness and enthusiasm. If you have talked to enough hotel front desk staffs, you will know what I mean. LaMika really listens to me and responded with energy. The short 5 mins chat during check-in leaves an amazing first impression for the stay.
The building is a bit old as expected, but overall it's clean so it's good. The only downside is the hot-water system. We turned both the sink and the tub's hot water on for 5 mins, it's still freezing cold water. I called guest service and see if there's an outage, the advise was let the water run for a few mins and see, or the best they can do is to put us in another room (at 12am). I asked if they can make sure the other room has hot water before we move, the other side was silent. So I said let me give it another try before we switch. At the end, we waited for 20 mins, and hot water finally arrives. The outside temperature wasn't even that cold that night was mid 40s.
On check-out, I was glad to chat with LaMika again. I told her about the hot water issue, not only did she apologize and made sure I was satisfied, she offered assistance with my future stay. Not sure if I would come back to this hotel again, but LaMika does make a difference.

At time of check in the gentlemen which assisted us was unwelcoming, I requested a wake up call and taxi for red eye.
The call never happened, taxi was not there, had to call and by miracle someone arrived explaining nobody picks up the phone at hotel, so we almost missed our flight, will never stay at the hotel, worst personnel ever.

Airport shuttle ends at 11pm, I did not know that, my flight landed at 11pm so I had to find a way to the hotel. Entrance door was locked upon my arrival, I understand it is for safety. But I had to call the front desk after waiting to see if they would notice I was standing there. I looked but there was no intercom or button to notify the staff that I was there. At my checkout, while waiting for my ride the front desk staff was talking about their night and how they almost fought someone. Although I was entertained by the story, other guests might not have been. Food is limited, the restaurant is only open at certain times. I missed breakfast but was hoping to get lunch, they were closed (1215pm)so I went next door to the little shop to grab a snack... If you're willing to pay $26 for chips, Gatorade and travel size aleve... This is the right place for you

Desk Customer service was exceptionally helpful, and the decor was seasonal and tasteful. The room was slightly worn down, but clean. Good value for your money. Bus drivers were ok, but shuttle service was very convenient but shuttle service does not operate for early morning flights.

First of all, the staff was amazing. I got in late by almost a day after missing a connecting flight due to a delay and they did all they could to have my room sorted in the quickest possible time and further helped to make my stay an amazing one. They were very knowledgeable of the area and were ready to share their suggestions of how to get around and things to do and places to visit in the area. I can speak very highly of both Ashley and Quinton who were exceptional hosts. Would definitely recommend this hotel for both the service and the staff. The only regret is that rooms are not equipped with microwaves, only refrigerators. That was the only inconvenience for me. Especially in the cold times, food gets cold quickly and for me, that was not too good. Generally, however, I had a very good stay.

Staff at restaurant and bar were nice and helpful. I think management should have included a cup of coffee in early morning. Some common areas could be clean. Example:around door frames on ground. Wifi in rooms was not easy to figure out/I never did. Location is very good. Staff tried to help, Restaurant and bar food and staff were top notch. Cooked to order omelet and All American for 14$ were tasty.

Not counting the staff, but the hotel was old and need to be updated the rooms are old the doors are a problem to close even when you swipe your room key it was hard to open from the outside whenever you leave you had to jimmy the lock in order to close the door, sheets are like sandpaper towels are hard not soft the restaurant is overpriced and the food is horrible I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would never book another room from this property the so rounding area is hazardous due to construction on the road ways around the hotel my overall experience was very horrible even with the room upgrade to a suite because that room was just as bad or even worse outlets didn’t work at times the water pressure was low the hotel in it self was horrible old and decrypted but to be fair the staff was very nice and professional the manager went above and beyond to help me he name was Lamika so much appreciation on her part it’s not her fault the hotel is old and need to be updated

When we checked in there was an issue with finding the reservation even when i gave her the itinerary number the price was not the same i was charged 276 instead of the 243 stated. Additionally, there was no toiletries (lotion samples) in the rooms..the vendong machine was also out if order on my floor.

The shuttle to the Pentagon City centre was great, but it was often a long wait if you just missed it. The drivers were great, as was the staff both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Our room was very comfortable.

I was cast off to the "East Tower" which is a 3-story building on the other side of the lobby entrance. I don't stay at hotels often so I enjoy the experience of a beautiful lobby, etc. With my stay, I entered a different building and went down stairs to my street-level room with a view of old row houses and idling tour buses. I also felt less safe because there were no lobby staff to view who comes in (even though the room key is needed to open the building door, we all know you can sneak in behind someone).
This is not the hotel's fault but I was very disappointed. If you stay here, be sure to request the main building.
The room was modern and clean. The bathroom was very small, requiring maneuvering around the doom to be able to close the door. The shower had great pressure and was the highlight of my stay.

The room was very clean. Whole hotel looks clean, the staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good with a lot variety of food. The shuttle driver was very friendly and kind. Before arriving i read some bad reviews and i was skeptical about how it will be. But after staying there I recommend this hotel.

Can't trust reservations for roll-in shower
Management does not train staff to know which rooms have roll-in showers and which ones have accessible tubs.Neither reservation or desk staff apparently know, so this hotel cannot be trusted to reserve a room for a disabled guest who requires a roll-in shower, or even accurately report whether one is available. A shame, because rooms are nice, and their roll-in showers are good, but not usable if the staff can't be trusted to reserve or even identify rooms that have those showers. Have had this problem repeatedly with reservations here. We'll look to stay where staff members know and can accurately state what rooms have specific accessibility features for disabled guests.
