There was a loud sound that I couldn’t make out what it was, the heat did not work, there wasn’t any hot water in the shower, the front desk attendant was rude, the hotel charges me for a security deposit than what was listed on this site, and the food was awful.

Badly Hot Experience
Room we got did not had a working air conditioner and temperature was reaching 78, it was too hot in the room and staff did not addressed it until late night and that too after continuous followup and multiple trips to front desk and at the end i got another room at midnight. This was a bad experience for my family with small kids. Hope you guys will enhance the experience.

When I had checked in and had gone to my floor I was staying on. It had smelled so bad. The smell got worse. All my clothes I had brought with me had the smell stuck on them. Even my jackets. I then got a piece of metal stuck in my tire from the parking lot and had to get a new tire.

When you think of the Hilton your thinking good hotel and I felt the Hilton gave super 8 feeling. When I got there to check in they didn’t have a room I had reserved. When I get to the room they gave me there was no heat and only 2 towels with no wash clothes… almost forgot no toiletries. I went downstairs to get some and was told it will be brought up to me.

Avoid if you're looking for more than acceptable
Room smelled stale , the place is in meed of an update. Beds were uncomfortable and they had hot water issues so we had no hot water for 2 days.

Horrible place. No hot water on Christmas Day. No feather free blanket in entire hotel and I have to sleep with bath towel due to my allergy to feather. Phone was broken. Curtain control failed to work. Elevator trap you without bring you to your level. Live like hell. Never ever go back.

Advertised free car parking, and the parking was charged U$22 per day. Front desk said it the parking was not run by the Hotel. No street parking available. Missing shower towels and toilet carpet at arrival. Later they were taken out for cleaning and not replaced. Front desk does not pick up the phone. All requests have to be done in person (towels too). Shower water with only two conditions: too hot or too cold (broken tap - no solution in time to have a good shower). Could be better for a " Hilton" hotel.

Sadly, our room was used when we came Tried to call but has to go back downstairs as no one was answering the front desk phone... Ice machine wasn't working either, tried to call again downstairs for 10 minutes, no answer. First time at a Hilton but will not try it again.

The hotel is fine. Nice and clean. Very convenient for going back and forth to the American Dream mall and MetLife stadium. My qualm with the hotel is the inconsistency with hot water. For our two day stay, we only had about one hour of hot water. Apparently they were having issues that we were promised would be fixed but continued to be a problem through the whole stay. This wasn’t just for us, I spoke to other guest who had similar issues.

I appreciated the early check-in. However, there was only one working ice machine, the shuttle service was extremely limited and did not include the airport. Parking at $20 was extreme. Most of the buffet food that should have been hot (pancakes, waffles & French toast) was cold, unacceptable for $22 pp

I booked a room for 3 adults with 2 queen beds but when I got to the hotel they had no rooms with queen beds. There was no hot water, we were given 2 towels, for 3 adults, the shower gel bottle provided was empty, the curtains were shredded, the air conditioner was extremely loud. I tried to contact someone at the front desk to get towels, shower gel and tell them of the other issues and no one would answer the phone. When checking out, I heard other guests with the same complaints. I could have stayed elsewhere for half the price and received better accommodations. The staff barely offered an apology and said by booking with Expedia I was not guaranteed anything, it was just a request. My experience with this hotel was more than disappointing and would never stay there again.

The heat did not work in the room. When they came to fix it the pipes bursted and they said there weren’t any rooms until everything flooded and they moved us to a room that was available all along at 2am. We did not sleep. There are rooms that are not renovated and should never be rented out. They are dilapidated and old. Horrible stay.

They should remove the Hilton name from this hotel. It was a very beautiful,and luxurious hotel when it opened as the Sheraton Hotel. The staff is nice but they don’t dress professionally; very different from European hotels. I guess rundown is the new look. Please fix the parking area.

Not the best Hilton!
Because we didn’t book directly with the hotel, we were given rooms that had no been renovated and the carpet was dirty. I complained and was given a renovated room but the AC in the room never fully worked. It was just like have a room fan. There was no working ice machines in the entire hotel. The rooms had no microwave and with a toddler we needed to warm up bottles in the lobby downstairs. The customer service was horrible. They wouldn’t answer the phones.

Couldn’t even spend the night there was so much dust flying around the room. Submitted a complaint to the desk. He said the manager would be in at 9 and we didn’t hear back from them. Won’t return to this hotel ever. I wish I could upload the video of all the dust in the air.

We booked a king bed and were given two doubles. We didn’t have enough time to ask for a change because we had to be somewhere quickly. Also, not enough lamps/ light in the room. One more thing… we weren’t given enough towels and didn’t have time to wait for more. Were only given two bath towels and two washcloths. No hand towels or bath mat! It’s the simple things that matter. Sometimes feel like we’re not being treated as well as we would have had we not used Expedia to book!

The staff was fantastic, Nadine and I wish I got the girls name at the front desk were great. My only problem was , we went to the Giants game on Monday night , We got in late and went right to bed . When I woke up for work the next morning I noticed there wasn't a towel or washcloth in the room, Very unprofessional. Also not a business center. That's where Nadine came in. She printed what I needed.

This property was horibble!! we reserved 7 rooms. to start it off 83 degrees in the room and had to have maintenance fix it. Property says fridge in room. 4 out of 7 rooms had NO fridge. We asked to change rooms, they advise they could not for the first night but would the next day. well that didint happen. bed was broken NO hot warm for 2 days out of 5 when the room is made they take the dirty towels and dont replace them. we needed to keep going to reception to ask for towels. An all arround HORRIBLE experience.

Hotel staff gave away my first room before check in. Contacted hotel to let them know we would be checking in late. Arrived at 11:30pm for them to tell us they have no 2 queen rooms and only 2 doubles. Did not offer any discount or explanation to what happened to our first room. Then told us it would be 15 minutes for them to clean our room. Ended up waiting 45 minutes and didn’t get in our room til the next day. Shower water was either scalding hot or ice cold, no in between. Contacted Hilton support and was told they contacted hotel manager and they would be in touch with me. Still have not received a response. Worst Hilton stay we’ve ever had.

For a Hilton property I was expecting a little bit more. When checking in the gentleman at the desk was extremely helpful & nice! The rooms were nice however we had 2 different rooms, 1st room had no top security lock, it was broken off & no hot water so was not able to take showers. 2nd room toddler was not able to take bath due to no plug but we managed through that. There is no fridge but we had a cooler with us, so no biggie until 5 out of the 6 ice machines we stopped at didn’t work. The restaurant onsite has no kid options & toddler was given a regular drinking glass for apple juice. The floor was not swept after patrons parted from their tables and made the place look dirty. We decided to not eat there again. Also the prices on line are not correct, add about $6 to each dish. The rooms were quiet, the tv channels worked, and there was a phone & a clock. If you are staying for a conference then this is a great place. If you have a family I’d pick another establishment. When checking out there was a disgruntled guest and the girl waiting on him was not handling the situation very well which made him yell and more angry. I didn’t bother for a check out receipt due to the heavy volume of people in line, I dropped the keys and left.

First of all I have a small handicap and I was put in a mobility accessible room. Had to change rooms because it was too small and didn't have enough space to hang clothes (no closet). They changed rooms, this room was large enough but the heater didn't work, mind you it is 33 degrees outside and my room is freezing. What is going on with the Hilton. I'll see if they can fix it but we pay to much not to be in comfort

The hotel is too old. The faucet is broken by a first twised. Lucky I am the plumber. I try to shut off, but the handle of the stop vale is not there, becaue is crumble and fell of already. I had to ask for more towei. The room key was bad after first used. There was a girl said none of key in her party is working. This hotel have put the name of Hilton to shame. As for me, I will not book hotel with Hilton name anymore. I have not had these problems before.

First of all, we got what we paid for. That’s ok. What wasn’t ok, the shower in our junior suite didn’t have the shower plug. We couldn’t take a shower. We told the front desk, and the employee said he can switch us to another room. We appreciated that. He also comped the breakfast buffet. Almost every ice machine was broken. Same with the vending machines. We needed towels, asked a maid if she had any. She pawned us off on the front desk, then they pawned us off on someone else. Too many people involved. The air system in the rooms barely put out cold/hot air. The hotel is due for an upgrade. The shuttle service was great. The one restaurant is ok.

Was not impressed with my stay. I’ve been staying at this property every year for 7 years now. This was the worst experience I have had. Water pressure was horrible, tons of defects in the rooms, calling the front desk 10 times for towels for nobody to answer. Had to go to reception myself to pick up towels. I wasn’t the only one either, at least 3 other individuals were waiting to speak to someone for towels. Service at the restaurant was horrible. If you didn’t speak Spanish, you received attitude and were ignored. Overall, not impressed and most likely will be my last time staying here.

The screws holding the lock in were very loose. (I have a video showing how bad it was. Our heat barely worked also. Also at one point in the morning there was a loud constant noise that made the floor shake and was a little concerning because we had no idea where it was coming from and it lasted 5-10 minutes.

A few things to mention; 1. On the first night of a 2 night stay two people were able to open the door of our hotel room and enter our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. This honestly has to be the worst thing that can happen when staying at a hotel. I went down to the front desk to mention what had happened and I was given the run-around by the employee at the desk. (``My manager will contact you as soon as she gets in``) ...the manager never contacted me and I was never able to contact the manager after 2 other attempts at the front desk. 2. Cleanliness is an overall 0. Mold was present in the bathroom, the hotel room carpet was stained and the hotel room was not properly ventilated and therefore uncomfortably humid. 3. The condition of the facilities is an overall 0. The shower head was loose and did not work properly, the ceiling in the hotel room was damaged and the hotel lobby, hallways, elevators and restaurant area were not heated. 4. Staff is unreachable and unresponsive. From check-in to check-out we had to reach out once a day to ask for towels and toilet paper because they were one, never present when we arrived and two, never replenished. I'm a fair person and I don't mind paying for proper accommodation, but in this case I can honestly say I over paid. $650 USD for a 2 night stay at this hotel is unreal. I feel like I was robbed and Expedia should not even offer bookings at the Hilton Meadowlands.

When I got there to check in, they gave me the wrong room so I had to go all the way from the 20th floor back down with a bunch of stuff and then get the right room. There was four of us so we had a lot of stuff then they sent us back up to the 16th floor. We need towels in our room and we called for over an hour to get room service. No one answered. when we went downstairs to ask for them, they told us that the lady cleaning the room would give us towels. We ran into her in the hallway and she said that she didn’t have any extra towels that we needed to call downstairs to get them. We tried calling again, and no one answered we went out for the day, we had to ask the front desk for more towels. when we told them that no one had answered and we had been trying to contact them through the app messaging system and the phone system they didn’t seem to care. For this hotel being a Hilton, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to it. I was not impressed with the room that claim to be renovated, nor with the service at the front desk.

the procedures for paying for parking is too awkward for people that are not phone/app competent. Parking is also too expensive for patrons of the hotel. As parking at the hotel is controlled by a third party, Hilton need to address this issue with that company.

Bathrooms were horrible and dirty. Walls are paper thin. Shuttle to the stadium and mall is slow and ubers charge $50 USD for a 5 minute drive. And they charged me more then what Expedia said it would be. This places price gouges because they are close to the MetLife Stadium. I would of rather stayed farther away and had a decent room.

I have stayed here before. The hotel has gone down. Our room was dirty. Bathroom had hair all in the shower. The carpet was filthy. The room was old looking and the hotel just looked run down. I have never seen it look like this.

The room was freezing! We were told that an engineer would restart the heating system but it never worked. The staff was super kind and respectful so I don’t blame them. Management wasn’t available until the next day late afternoon and I wasn’t going to stay freezing any longer. I should’ve read the negative reviews and saw this was an ongoing problem. So I blame myself for this one! Lol

Property was in an amazing location and checkin was awesome. After checkin to checkout was horrible. Went to our room on 4th floor… shower had mold in it… no towels in room had to call for more as well as a laundry bag. The AC was out since 1pm.. this was main factor why we waited till 11pm to checkin. Was told ac was fixed upon checkin. Room was 77 at 1115 by 1200 room was 84 degrees with the cool on and fan on high. Was just told they had to reset compressor and it would be great. Waited till 1240 and room temp was now 86. No other accommodations were offered at all. I’m a Hilton honors member and I can say I’m embarrassed that this is a HILTON

Large hotel next to Meadowlands, was clean and staff was accommodating.. Would be nice to have Hotel shuttle available for Football Game at Metlife Stadium!
