the elavator only works after the first floor and it is very small, it has not functional window to the sea but at 2.0mts of high from the floor. Personal in front was very nice and cooperative.

Hidden gem
I really liked this property. I found it on the app and was reasonably price and location was right across the street from the beach. I was able to check in early at 12pm and staff attentive. The room was very clean with comfy bed. It has a pool but i didn't use it because the first two days weather was bad due to lots of rain and gusty winds. Next time I visit MB i will stay here.

Everybody was very nice to me here and the property is in fine condition. It is not my first choice to come to this area in Miami as I have been here over 200 times and I do prefer to stay at a very different type of establishment, but for my purposes, everyone was very kind And the rooms were not unkept

The staff at the Collins were more than accommodating. We arrived super early, about 11:30am and they allowed us to check in early with no extra charge! Printed out some emails for us and gladly gave us directions every time we asked.

It. is a very friendly atmosphere at the hotel.Stsff is ready to help.Ovesn is at 10 minutes distance and there is a good swimming pool,clean enough.I enjoyed swimming in the pool.There are plenty places to eat near including Publix.

Great staff, older beach hotel but worth it and would definitely stay again. Took care of my family and friends which were a large group very well. Great beach access about 2 minute walk, was clean, not large beds but was a great spot for what we needed.

The Pros: The property was quaint and the staff was friendly. The location was great, within walking distance to the beach access and many food options.. The Cons: The long curly black hairs found on the pillow cases, shower walls and towels. Also, as of May 1, there is a $25 a day charge to park a car that was not informed about.

Gravely disappointed. We stayed here a week and our room was only tidied up, not cleaned by any stretch of the imagination, once and that was only after I complained. You only get clean sheets if you put a placard on the bed and that didn’t even do it. To me it’s ridiculous at these prices that we don’t get a daily cleaning.
If you are looking for proximity to beach it’s great, everything else is a walk away. Really really disappointed

We were in the shower when someone used a keycard to open our door. Not a safe place to stay and the front desk in the morning acted like I was lying.
Photos are misleading and the room was much smaller and dirtier. The toilet was crammed in a small space and the shower curtain was so short that the shower water poured out. The app wont let me upload photos but I do have them.

The checkin was very easy and smooth. I liked that they had secure on-sight parking. The room was clean and the hotel is right across the street from the beach. It was perfect for what I wanted.

Extremely outdated hotel and this goes for room, bed, towels. Amount of chemicals used caused asthmatic, respiratory issues. Would never stay here again.

The properties photos didn't matched the realitty of the hotel. We got dirty sheets and towels, noisy AC, and we felt insecure with the rooms doors and locks.

The staff was professional and the hotel is well maintained. However, the have one microwave in the lobby for guest. In this day and age the idea is outdated not to have microwave in rooms. I had to hike hot water up the steps to my room, by the time I got to my room the water got cold. Not very efficient.

The place is nothing fancy. But it is fine for a low cost stay on Miami Beach. The parking was $15 and was adjacent to the rooms. So everything is convenient and clean if not luxurious.

When I arrived, I had to wait for nearly 15 minutes before someone arrived to check me in to the hotel. As it turned out, both staff members were away from the hotel having a cigarette. There were no signs to say the front desk was unattended. It was a very disappointing impression.

Room very small and old, bed noisy, bathroom small and outdated. Pool smells like cat poop. A lot of cats hanging around the garden. Old plastic furniture. Stayed 4 nights and they only cleaned my bedroom once

Close to the beach. They loan towels, chairs and umbrellas. The bed was really comfortable. Large closet and dresser. No coffeemaker or microwave. No free coffee. There is a machine for pay in the lobby. The microwave in the lobby wasn't cleaned for several days. The air conditioner was positioned to blow directly onto my head while I slept. If I wanted a cool room my head would freeze. For the first three nights I slept with a sweater wrapped around my head. The last night I just left it warm in the room. The only food nearby was pizza. Convenient location if you want to go to this beach. We wanted to go to the Keys and Everglades and wow was traffic awful everywhere from here. Plan to pay an extra $15 per night to park. Shower only and it was plumbed like a bathtub which was strange. Everything was a bit dated but clean and serviceable. No list of channels for the TV.

Booked two rooms for two nights for this hotel for July 7-9 with the full refund option until July 5. Checked in to this hotel on July 7 and immediately my mother in law got an allergic reaction to something in the air and almost stopped breathing. She obviously couldn’t stay so my father in law checked out immediately explaining the situation to the front desk. They offered their deepest apologies and said a refund would be given (by Expedia since that is who we booked it through) as we were now left scrambling to find a new hotel at 7pm. My husband and I decided to stay in our room that night as we had our kids with us and needed to get them to bed after a long day of travel. We explained we would check out early the next morning to go meet up with my in laws and they confirmed that was not an issue and would be refunded for the second night we weren’t using. We are now being denied any refund from both Expedia and this hotel because we asked for one past the final refundable date (July 5). After speaking with the hotel manager he is refusing to give us a refund. We have now had to file a grievance with the credit card company for services not rendered. I do not recommend this hotel in any way especially after they flat out lied to us about a refund during our crisis and have shown us zero professionalism after the fact. My in laws did not use the room that was booked for them for a serious medical reason and we are being denied a refund. Horrible business ethic! Stay away

No microwave in the room our room still had things from the past guest. The room smelt moldy and mildew. Hair was in the shower...house keepers still comes in your room even when you tell them no room service.

Property was nice what I like most was the distance to the beach and also the strip has so many different restaurants to eat at. Walgreens is half a block down and people were really friendly. On the corner is a restaurant name Venezuela it was fantastic!!!!! Around the corner from there is a doughnut shop! OMG and breakfast burritos some warm dishes. The ice coffee was wonderful. The staff at the Collins was friendly and professional.

The property is clean and is right next to Miami Beach which is very convenient. Prices are pretty respectable considering the location. The pool was also a great aspect that our kids enjoyed. Helpful staff. Overall, great experience.
