There were stains on carpets at the entry, once you past check-in. The dining area had chairs stacked on tables, looked like lawn furniture. The room had stains on the linens, towels, and the floor. The vending machines were out of order in the basement, I was told that I would have to cross traffic to get something to drink. There is more, but it was exhausting and not worth the money. The pictures do not match the actual building.

Wonderful stay

Surprised not in a good way
We have stayed in this Hotel before so it was shocking seeing strains on the floor and very dirty furniture other than the beds. A shopping bag keeping the shower from leaking and cigarette burns in the bathtub. The tv was suck on SAP the hairdyer and ironing noard were just laying down and not in working order. I hope this was a one bad room experience because we come to the area often
It is still close to 6 Flags and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

Refund demanded
There was poop in the toilet upon arrival. The towels were dirty. The air conditioner did not work. And the television wouldn't hold a signal. The refrigerator smelled awful and the Continental breakfast was cereal. With no milk provided. And constant loud noise outside of room. Did slamming all night. And the pool was not open as advertised. I would hope for at least a half refund or I will bring my business to Expedia. This is the first time I've had a problem with hotels .Com so I'm hoping this can be resolved

Stayed here while visiting Six Flags. Very close to the park and Gurnee Mills Mall. Facility was quiet. But it is a bit dated. Everything was clean, but rooms showed age. Decent pool. Lots of eating options near by. Nothing fancy, but a decent night's sleep. Close to I-94.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
Signs of water damage on bathroom door and mold smell in room. Also found hair in bathtub. Breakfast was almost nonexistent. Had energy bars, oatmeal and 2 choices of cold cereal. Also some yogurt, but NO fruit, waffles or anything hot.

Place was super noisy kids running around everywhere, people playing loud music, people outside smoking weed, prostitute looking people sitting outside the hotel, the room was tiny and dirty looking, the bathroom was dirty and old looking, the front desk guy barley talked English, could hardly understand him. Just an all around bad experience, hopefully theres no bed bugs in this grimey hotel oh and no breakfast was made that was suppose to be included. Do not recommend this place

I don't expect a Super 8 to be that nice, but I do expect it to be clean. This place does not need to be on hotels.com. It was so dirty and smelled like smoke. We just needed a place to sleep for a few hours before an early flight and we was disturbed by loud music and a party in the parking lot from 1am until we finally left at 4am. Very disappointed in this one!

If they say you get what you pay for ; I'm going to be needing half my money back . Wish I had known that alot of employees from
Great America stay at the hotel. The hotel was loud to say the least , the smell of weed & vomit in the hall was overwhelming . I got about 3hrs of sleep due to the noise & and just not feeling safe . The breakfast was a joke , we just had coffee. The place is run down ,blankets were paper thin & being on thw first floor one would hope th curtains completely closed.We could see into the parking lot with the 3 inh gap you could see us,used my hair claw to hold it closed . Sounded like tap dancing elephants on above us til 2a.m.

Was very disappointed, it said feee breakfast and there was no food left, I asked if they were gonna out more out and they said no. When you look for a place with free breakfast I would not recommend this place!

Carpet filthy - druggies in parking lot - fan in bathroom extremely loud/did not work - hair dryer broken - ceiling fan would only stay on for set amount of time - lamp (floor) broken - bedside lamp also broken. Not a good experience. I have relatives in area and will never stay there on my return visits.

My stay well for non smoking it stunk like cigerettes n weed
Bed was comfy but lights flicker on the lamps so i didnt use those
It was quiet but stunk . I didnt eat free breakfast cause it wasnt like other hotels ive been to . It was the worse hotel ive been to but family trip was good minus the hotel. I know in future to go to a different hotel.

The room was ok just very old and outdated. The walls are paper thin and I could hear other peoples tv or conversations. I was in the second floor and I could hear people footsteps banging upstairs all night long. For the price it wasn’t bad but not a very restful night.

For an older Super8 it was suprisingly nice and clean. 1st night was great. Second night, there were people stomping on the floor above us and when we went to complain, we couldn't find anyone to assist us. We got no sleep the entire night.

Property is very nice, the indoor pool is a plus especially if you bring kids. Dining options are walkable and everything including the highway is near property. Staff were very friendly and their breakfast was decent for a quick bite.

I didn't like anything.
The water wasn't working, the carpet had holes and stains throughout. All of the tiles in the bathroom were broken. Toilet paper holder was broken, with paper tossed on the back of the toilet. Shower curtain was ripped and torn. Ceiling fans were barely attached and swaying and one of them quit working before we left in the middle of the night.. Clock had bare wires hanging out of it. We left at 4 am the night of check in. we have photos of the trashy room which smelled like mold. We have photos of all the issues we encountered. DON'T RENT AT THIS LOCATION !!!!!!! moved to Sonesta and had a wonderful rest of our trip. For photos contact Joe @

Well first of all I know that there is a limited amount of time before you can cancel and I accept that but there is a right way and a wrong way to treat and talk to people I had called this hotel telling them that due to a family emergency we were unable to attend and would appreciate a refund the guy at the counter basically screamed the words no refunds and then the phone went dead.

Great stay!
In all honesty I was a little apprehensive to stay here at first but it was the only hotel that had rooms available. I could not have been more pleased with our stay. The staff was extremely nice and we loved our room. We had a hot tub and it was really nice but the paint was peeling a bit. The bed was amazing but the pillows were very tiny. Other than the tiny pillows and the hot tub peeling a bit, the room was very nice and very clean. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This Place sucks!!!!!
This place is nasty as hell! First walking down the halls it reeks of marijuana, it says its a no smoking hotel. Our room smelled horrible, so bad I almost puked, the tub was stained and the toilet seat had scratches all over it, the rugs were nasty and sticky, there was a lump in the carpet that I tripped on when I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Breakfast, there was nothing for breakfast but cereal and honey buns, they had a toaster but no buns or bagels. The ice machine was all the way in the basement. I had to use my data, because the free internet kept cutting out.

All in all the hotel wasn’t bad. It needs a few updates. It had a bad odor in the hall where the pool was located. Some of the wallpaper was peeling off the wall also my remote didn’t have a back cover and the shower head was broken so water splattered everywhere. The guy at the front desk did offer me a new room due to the broken shower head.

Avoid at all costs!!!
This is the worst hotel I have seen in my life. The pictures are not accurate of the hotel. Side doors coming in do NOT lock people were smoking outside the door and coming in and out. The halls were very dirty and smelt like pot and cigarette smoke. The elevator button to go up did not work. The room smelt like rotten food. Multiple curly hairs in the bathroom. The room was covered in dust. Went to the pool, and the pool pictured is NOT the one at the hotel. dead bugs everywhere, paint peeling off the walls. No chairs at the pool. Multiple band aids laying on the ground and in the pool. Tried to complain but no one would come to the front desk. Left after being there for an hour, did not feel safe having my family there. Currently waiting on a refund.

In a WONDERFUL area, close to all food, shopping, six flags, etc that your heart desires. Staff was good. That breakfast consist of boxed honey buns, instant oatmeal, and nutrigrain bars, coffee, juice. The carpet in our room was absolutely gross! Sticky. We wore shoes the WHOLE time! Outlets are so worn that nothing will stay plugged in. On a good note, we did feel safe. Hotel is a Super 8, best bang for your buck-- but def could use a lot of upgrades interior.

Light bulbs burnt out, no sugar, no cream for room coffee, one day the room was never cleaned, no clean, towels......the breakfast was only dry cereal and old pastry in packages, no bread, milk for cereal was warm....when told this all to the staff there were no apologies just an "ok" took 2 days to get light bulbs in the room....I WOULD LIKE A REDUND ON AT LEAST ONE DAY!! I will never use Super 8 again!!

Can only be described as a dump. Room was not clean and smelled like something had been smoked or burned prior to my arrival. I have stayed at this brand of hotel several times and this is the worst one I have ever stayed at. If I wouldn’t have been so exhausted from traveling I would have gone to a different hotel.

Bring your own hair dryer
There were stains on the bedspread, the sheets and pillows smelled. The hair dryer was broken and when we asked for one that worked, they didn’t have one.

The hotel that has given up
This would be my second worst stay at a hotel of all time. From the long, dimly-lit hallway upon entering the room (one of the hall lightbulbs was out) to the random broken floor lamp sitting in the middle of the room and a rather flat full size mattress (NOT the advertised queen mattress) the room was in piss-poor condition overall. This is indeed a hotel that has given up on maintenance and any sort of updates. Even the full tub surround was riddled with rust problems and the toilet seat had been used so many times now without replacement that it had the paint rubbed off and looking very shabby. The horribly outdated and overused bedding was also in terrible condition. Worst of all was that the room smelled of Marijuana and now so do all my things. To top it off, there were many loud guests yelling and stomping around at 1am. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me to do so. In fact, I'd recommend gutting the entire place and refurbishing everything from the ground up. How in the world does Wyndham own this property? Such an embarrassment.

Very unhappy!!!
The hotel, bathrooms and pool were dirty. The shower in our room was broken and they wouldn't let us shower in a different room, but instead had people coming in and out all morning trying to fix it, which they put on a new temporary faucet and it leaked everywhere. Pools of water in our room and I was there with my children so everything was wet. I got no rest and had a 5 hour drive home. Very unhappy!!!

The rooms are very outdated, but clean. The fridge and microwave were lifesavers. The pool is okay.
The overall environment at the hotel is partying young adults. Smelled like weed throughout the entire place, people were smoking weed in their rooms with the doors wide open to the hallway. We had a crowd of six flags employees who were living at the hotel decide that they needed to gather right outside our doors in the hallway (about 10 of them) and yell and shout until 1am when another room's complaints were finally listened to. It's close to six flags, but if you aren't dead tired, drive an extra mile. The staff was very polite and helpful, the convenience great, but the area and fellow clientele don't provide the best experience.

Our king bed room was great. It had everything, extra sink, refrigerator, lot's of lamps and great pillows. Our complaint would be with the side parking lot entrance, so dirty and the railings and steps need to be repainted and cleaned up.

I’d pick another hotel at this price point.
At least the bed was nice, for the price I paid though the room condition was very poor. Bathroom door was broken/delaminated and wouldn’t close. Half the outlets had broken or missing covers. Room had a bit of a smoke smell. Window shades wouldn’t close all the way. Breakfast was kinda laughable too. Nice and close to six flags at least,

It smelled like cigarettes and the smoke detector was hanging off the ceiling by the wires. Microwave and countertops were dirty and looked like burns in random places. Furniture was torn up like it was picked up off the curb somewhere.

Mysterious green and red stains in carpet. Caulking around sink splitting. Bfast item is either Frosted Flakes or stale cinnamon roll thing. Can walk inside w/o using room card. Broken English

Cheap and you get what you pay for
We were on a tight budget otherwise we wouldn't have chosen this place. Refrigerator did not work well. Did not keep items cold. Hole in the wall from from door knob hitting the wall. No ice or vending machines on any floor other than the basement.
Very comfortable beds and pillows at least.

Stayed 3/10-3/13. Rm 127 Worst super 8 I ever stayed at. Had a jetted tub we had to clean the gunk out of before we could use it. Carpet had wierd round burn marks all over. Curtains held together with safety pin. Shower curtain ripped. Housekeeping never came to the room our entire stay. There was no breakfast any morning of the stay. Garbage left in hallway the entire stay. Sex toys found between bed and wall. Stained sheets. Pool out of order. the entire hotel is supposed to be non smoking but the halls stank of smoke every morning. Even saw the front desk guy sitting in the non functional pool area smoking

Stingy hotel
They only gave us shampoo and conditioner samples for one day, claiming that supplies were on back order, but seeing the sign, warning about what they would charge you for missing wash cloth, pillow, bed cover etc, I knew that they were just stingy. Stayed 3 days , no cleaning in between. Again, stingy.

Worst stay in the history of hotels
This hotel charged my card 4 times!!!! I was told when i check out my monies would be released. It has been 3 days and I still do not have my money back! My stay was horrible. The room i was in did not have any heat. The key card did not work and there is no secure entrance. You're suppose to have a a key card to enter but the entrance door does not lock and anyone can just walk in. the hallway ceiling above the room next door has a hole and looks like it was ready to cave in.

I liked this hotel because of the location in which this hotel was in had a lot of restaurants to choose from to go eat. It was also easy access to I-94 to get home. What i didn't like about the hotel is not alot of breakfast choices to eat. They could have more breakfast choices especially toast. Other than that it was a nice hotel and very clean friendly staff. It was also affordable with my budget. When i come back to illinois in which i go quiet often because i have family here i will be staying at this hotel for sure.

I had to change rooms twice before check in which cost me an HR of my time. The first room smelled like smoke. I took video to show front desk of what looks like wax hardened in the carpet and a blood or wine stain near bed. Completely unacceptable. The next room they gave me as soon as I opened the door it smelled like a cat pissed. Finally took 3rd room as it was better but the hotel was definitely not worth the price. This was more like a $40 motel

18 or 21? pick one.
I purposely made this reservation because it was for my 20 year old son. I looked prior to making the reservation and saw nothing that stated he would have trouble checking in. I even received my confirmation email and it stated minimum age for check in was 18. So I thought everything would be fine. The clerk on duty that evening said he had to be 21 to check in. Please get the facts straight and let people know. I needed some place safe for my son who was traveling.

The hotel had an dead animal in the sprinkler room when we checked in. Once I told the clerk to check the room and i asked him was it a dead animal he said yes. The smeLl was terrible. The hAllway was very smelly. The rooms outdated The Carpet was very dirty, smelly and I felt dirty walking on the floor. Don’t stay there. Not worth the money .

Pay the extra and stay elsewhere.
I won't be returning to this hotel. The front entry looks like a side door. I walked all around the building until I figured out it was the main entrance. The room was in fair condintion. Not best or worst. The WiFi is a joke. You have to keep signing in because the connection is terrible. The continental breakfast was bad. Just coffee, orange juice, apple juice, cereal, and some granola bars. They had toasters but no bread. The seating area for breakfast is not even setup. You have to take the chairs off the table to be able to sit. And there was a sign on the bathroom sink with prices of items you'll be charged if they are missing. All the signs of cheapskate owners. So do yourself a favor and pay the extra and book somewhere else.

Not worth the cheap price
Room had a bad smell. Carpeting was old and dirty. Ceiling fans were full of dust so we couldn’t use them. Refrigerator had a note on it that it could only be used for beverage storage as it couldn't keep perishable items cold enough. Overall, the room was a huge disappointment. The pool area was the only area that seemed clean but no towels were kept nearby.
