Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was awful. Plastic containers of dry cereal, shrink-wrapped pastries, and instant oatmeal packets. For a hotel that charges nearly $200/night, I expected more and better.

The owner or manager has the personality of a grapefruit. No apologies for ripped out ceilings, plastic floowaus, no coffee, no breakfast. Terrible.

This property is not worthy of people actually staying there. The ceiling on the first floor was opened with water leaks and wires and lights dangling down above patrons heads. The furniture and room were dirty and the carpet was gross. We could not stay the night. Left the key and there was no one at the front desk to report issues to. Had to rush to get to a wedding venue and figure out where we could change since our room was not clean and we didn’t even want to put our stuff down

Looked Uncertain Until We Entered Our LOVELY Room
We stayed in this local motel as our well went dry at our home. The motel appeared to be under construction during our stay. The hallways had no ceiling, only exposed wiring and light fixtures. When we got to our room, however, it was beautiful. The air was fresh and clean and everything was pristine. The bed was comfy enough...great pillows. The shower had good water pressure which was nice. The refrigerator had a little freezer in it. The microwave came in handy for us. All in all it was a good stay.

We stayed here last minute for a youth wrestling tourney. This place reminded me of the motels you see in movies where drug deals go down. The odor in the hall way upstairs was horrible- mixture of marijuana, cigarettes and old fish. Repulsive. There was dog food on the floor, flip flops under the mattress and an overall air of disrepair. The beds and pillows were fairly comfortable and luckily we had a room
With pergo floors instead of carpets. No extra blankets if you were cold. I will never stay in a motel 6,8 or anything again. Learned my lesson.

Not a good value, won't stay here again
Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful, room carpet has massive red stains all over floor, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was terrible and very sparse. Couldn't even get jam for toast. If you're looking for low end with no frills, this is your place.

Unfortunate miscommunication
Checked in to find our non-smoking room (#102) with a serious odor as if someone was trying to cover somethin up. We were then given a room right across the hall (#101). Thought we were all set - until - our door came wide open at 11:30 pm! Thought we were being invaded. Turned out to be a young couple was given a new key to our room because no one altered the front desk that we had changed rooms! Called the front desk and they told us we immediately had to come to the front desk because were were not supposed to be there. They only relented after verifying our name and that we were indeed guests.
We realized in the morning that our key would not work and had we gone to breakfast we would not have been able to get back into our room. Went to the front desk and got a new key.
When we checked out we did get an apology but no offer of a reduced rate. Very disappointing! We have stayed there before because of the convenient location close to family. We will certainly pay more to go elsewhere nect time and not go there again.

There were hairs all over the shower and stuck on the Styrofoam cups in our room. Blankets were not thick enough to keep us warm on the chilly winter night.

The hotel was close to Wachusett Mountain & not very pricey, so it was very convenient. However it smelled of cigarettes throughout the entire hotel & my room had a huge stain on the rug in front of the bathroom and the top cover had blood on it. The walls are paper thin & you can hear EVERYTHING in the rooms on each side. The front desk people are nice aswell as the cleaning lady and the hotel is located next to a gas station, Wendy's & other store's.

Super Stinky Hotel!!!!
It was so disappointing and disgusting of the smell of cigarette smoke! The smell of smoke was so strong that we couldn't get any rest and coughed all night. You can smell it everwhere even in the walls of the hallway, the room and the bedsheets when you sleep. Even if you opened the window and put the fan on, it would not get rid of the smell of horrible smoke. The atmosphere was so horrible!! We had to buy plug ins to the wall to help with the disgusting smell. We highly "NOT" recommend this place especially if you have children or infants due to the unpleasant cigarettes smoke. Due to this experience at this hotel it will traumatized us for life and we will never stay in this Super Stinky 8 hotel.

Smells like cigarettes
The hotel was conveniently located to the event we were attending so that’s why we chose it. Our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and when we changed so did the other room. The receptionist informed us that the ventilation system was pulling smoke or at least the odor from the smoking rooms upstairs via the bathroom fan. This was very uncomfortable and unpleasant for me and my son.

The staff was professional. There was no elevator and unable to acquire a room on the first floor. The free breakfast had a good variety. It would have been good if it was open a bit longer than 9 o’clock.

I appreciated the king sized bed however the whole place smells like cigarettes. I am highly allergic so it made for a long night. Also, the fan in the bathroom was hanging off the wall.

Bathroom had leaks and wet floor, sloppy cheap shower installation allowing for water to seep behind the panel and contribute to awful musty moldy oder. No blanket. I will never stay there again!!

Great for an overnight couple’s getaway
My girlfriend and I wanted to get away for the night and enjoy fall in western and central MA. and we decided to get a room at this motel because it is conveniently located near western MA. in the northwestern part of Worcester county and it is very affordable and near great Chinese food at the Yen Yen

Disappointing Stay!
Accommodations and room were average for the value. The level of noise and disruptions throughout the night made the stay extremely disappointing. Upon check in there were noises coming from the top floor, the attendant was notified but the matter appears to be beyond her control. Furthermore, the fire alarm was activated on purpose in the middle of the night. It took nearly 20 minutes for the fire department to silence it! We were able to hear other guests in the hallway at 3 in the morning right outside our door along with Dogs barking from the top floor. I will point out this is a dog friendly hotel which explains the tick found crawling on one of the pillows. Needless to say the discovery was unsettling.

Hotel is in a bad part of town and the cops were called here twice in one day. There was also a huge fight in the room next door.

Sorry to say that I will not stay here again. The staff was great but the hotel is very dated and bathrooms had lots of black mold in the tubs. Also the carpeting was stained. And we had a dresser drawer that was full of ladies clothing that was a bit gross.
It was in a good location for our needs so a little sad that we cant use it again.

I wasn’t expecting much from a Super 8, my expectations were still failed. The room, while non-smoking had the stench of cigarettes past baked into the room. We were on the first floor and placed by a door that was used frequently. Outside of the window was the parking lot where multiple vehicles were accessed through our stay. The folks upstairs sounded like they were running a marathon. The room was very noisy. The TV situation was disappointing. I only say this because the room, for what we paid was not worth the nearly $140 for a night. In my hometown, you can get a room of the same quality for $40 a night.

Check in went smoothly. The place is obviously old. Our room was meh. The bathroom had a very badly patched section in the ceiling above the shower. The shower head was very loose, and pulling away from the wall. The towels were dingy looking. Comforter is way too thin, and the bed was not great, but slightly better than an air mattress. There was trash in the parking lot, including a laundry basket that was sitting there the whole 3 days we were there, so no one checks the propery regularly. It's not in the best town either.

We ended up not staying. It was absolutely horrifying the parking lot and the entrance was full of people out drinking alcohol and smoking. The building and the surroundings looked rundown and unsafe. We did not feel comfortable or safe to even get out of the car. Definitely false advertising.

Won’t stay here again. Not family friendly. Was given a second floor room with a stroller, and three other toddlers. No elevator. No consideration. Terminated my trip a day early just to avoid staying at this place. Never again.

Not our usual place to stay
It was apparent in the lobby and hallway that the motel has smoking rooms - not too noticeable in our guest room on the ground floor.
The ground floor room apparently was refinished recently [desk, carpet, hvac unit]. The bathtub was worn, and there was evidence of repairs from plumbing problems in the upper floor.
There was only a single desk chair, and no additional chairs or coffee table despite ample available space in the 'king bed' room.
A basic breakfast is included (weak coffee, hot & cold cereal, packaged pastry) - and the adjacent Friendly's, Wendys and a nearby Dunkin Dounuts provide additional options.
It's been about 10 tears since our last stay at this property, and we will be unlikely to book again unless no other nearby properties are available for our required dates.

Very welcoming, quick and helpful service at check in. The AC worked well on a warm night and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was included in the price, but the selection of foods was disappointing. No fresh baked goods, fruit, or yogurt. That would be my only complaint.

I was in need of a pet friendly hotel & to me pet friendly means BOTH dogs & cats!
Because im relocating I have with me 3 dogs & a cat. For 2 days I forgot to tell the hotel clerk about the cat, my mistake, i messed up & when i told the desk clerk about the cat & apologized
he got over the top angry with me, said cats were not allowed (but its pet friendly??? NOT ) we had to leave immediately & all but accused me of lying to him, ive never been spoken to like he spoke to me.
He also complained i didn't let housekeeping in to clean, which is my right, in all the hotels/motels ive stayed in (and its been several) i usually dont have cleaning service come in daily, (every other) & ive never been spoken to about it, this desk clerk tried to make me feel like i was a pig because i didn’t let house cleaning in..
This desk clerk & i think owner should not be working with the public. I won't stay there again. Super 8 in Gardner ma

The property was neat and clean, but it needs some updating. The biggest problem was that the lock on the door to our room did not lock properly without some gyrations. When it was closed after leaving, you could still push the door open The staff knew about and didn’t let us know.

Ok so I book the room and I had 3 adults in a room with two beds there was an up charge. It would have been nice to know that before hand. They also charge you for a visitor if they are in the room for over an hour. They wouldn’t make more keys and there was no breakfast as advertised. I understand that it’s a small mom and pop place. But you should accommodate your patrons way better than this

This place is truly nasty. Once you walk in you are hit with the smell of cigarettes. The decor is old and dirty. The room was disgusting with stains everywhere and the horrific smell of cigarettes. I will never stay at this place again and will spending the extra to stay at a better maintained place. Cheaper is not better and I learned the hard way. Vacationers beware and learn from my experience. I give this place a ZERO. Thank goodness it was for only one night.

All the necessary basics
I just needed a safe place to rest after a couple of long days traveling around New England and this fit the bill. It's quiet, convenient to highways, and has friendly staff. My only complaint is that a smoke odor wafted out of other rooms into mine and the halls. The front desk happily gave me another room which lessoned the odor a bit although still present. Other than the odor it pretty much covers the basics with a price lower than surrounding venues.

We needed a one night getaway and this was convenient. Nothing special but no complaints. There's a KFC nearby and it's right off the highway. Front desk delivered extra towels on request. Clean. TV worked good and bed was comfortable.

It was ok
Staff was friendly. No hot water that night. Bathtub would not hold water. Shower leaked bad. We had non smoking, but as soon as you walked out of room, the hallway wreaked of pot.

They gave a key to my room to another visitor. That person unintentionally scared me, while i was in staged of undress. He was equally as surprised and polite. I fe lo t extresmly vunerable and violated.
When I called the front desk, to find out what had happened. The host was unprofesdional and rude to me. This made me feel even worse. I travel a great deal for work and have never had an experience like this. There were also police presence here. Not sure why, but they were looking for someone. This added to my anxiety, after the room incident.

Much better then before
So much better then the last time I stayed here, The front desk lady spoke English and was very very nice! The room was nice and clean. Beds were pretty hard, and they only gave us 2 towels. When taking a shower you see where it looks like the shower is coming away from the wall, It needs a patch up done. But over all it was nice

As soon as you open the main door to the hotel the place smelled like an ashtray. Hit with that horrible smell was nauseating. If it wasn’t for only being one night we would of gone somewhere else. We checked in and went to our non smoking room , also stunk of smoke and spray air freshener. I’m so glad I brought my Lysol with me, before taking anything out I sprayed bed linen toilet sink and tub , which had hairs I it. We didn’t unpack much wasn’t planing on staying in room. Went to service desk and complained about smoke , girl replies well that’s because smoking is lowed upstairs. Shaking my head we left for a few hours. We returned to take showers before our scheduled event, even the towels smelled of smoke. We left once more and didn’t return until after 10 pm. It took us forever to fall asleep, but we did woke up early and got ready to go home. I couldn’t wait to take a shower, on the 2 hr drive home I felt like things were crawling on me. The whole place needs to be replaced, it old smelly and dirty.

Fine for a quick stay
We stayed overnight for a family wedding so we spent very little time in the room. The front desk staff were courteous, professional and competent. The building was clean and seemed to be maintained. The only problem with the room was that it smelled like smoke, despite the fact that it was a non-smoking room. The front desk person told us that this was because the smoking rooms are all on the 2nd floor and the smell leaches through to first floor rooms. We were told to open the windo to let fresh air in. This helped, but we could not leave the window open while we were away from the room, so the problem smell came back. They should either rearrange the smoking vs. non-smoking sections of the building so that the smell doesn’t permeate so easily. Or they should improve the ventilation and insulation between rooms.

Disappointing but the reviews didn't lie
The bathroom was filthy. The mirror wasn't cleaned once during our two day stay & was dirty when we walked in. The tub/ shower seams had mold. The room smelled musty & of stale cigarettes. Upon seeing the room, my wife literally checked for bed bugs. None were found so that's good. The location is good.

Okay place to stay but nothing impressive
Generally, the Super 8 was okay, but I was only looking for a roof over my head so I would not have to drive back and forth for a course I was taking. The staff was not mean or anything but not at all friendly either. The handle to my room was broken when I checked in. I informed the front desk of this problem and they said they knew about the problem and would have it taken care of however, it was still broken 4 days later. The in-room heater/AC was crazy loud and taped together. The room was cleaned daily but smelled of old smoke, and the carpet just looked dirty. The beakfast was okay, they had a waffle maker with maple surp and two choices of cereal, but nothing much else. So all in all it was an okay stay but not really worth the money.

The room was filthy and the toilet bowl had a vomit up on arrival my wife requested some cleaning supplies and have to clean it her self. The floors and the all room smells like diarrhea. The worst stay we ever have. Never we willbe ever stay at Super 8 hotel.
