We stayed in the king suite with the jacuzzi and the fire place and it was sooooo nice. We also had a microwave and mini fridge in our room. I can not relate to some of the reviews on here our stay was amazing.

Great for the Granddaughter
This hotel was in a great location. I was just a few minutes walk from downtown Gatlinburg. It also had a great pool and hot tub. Our granddaughter was with us and wanted to play in the pool, of course. But the pool was so warm it was comfortable for all.
We had a room next to the creek and enjoyed throwing food to the trout in the creek.

The hot tub in the room did not have enough hot water, you only had abt 5 minutes before it was cold. When I told the front desk, the lady said everyone on our hall was complaining abt the same thing but that we were all using it at the same time and to wait 30 minutes or so and try again. The water never would get hot again.

Everything was good. The room was clean, affordable and close to main strip of Gatlinburg which was nice. Got our steps in. Only downside is the parking, not the worst but just tight. I still would recommend to others.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly. Only complaints are there were ants in our room, the beds were very hard and the pillows were paper thin. But I love the location, and will definitely bring the Family back

The pictures are nothing like what we got. We was put at a run down building across the street. There was no secondary lock on the door, when the ac unit turned on the window was making a loud rattling noise, the tub was half white half yellow, the shower head was falling off. We was able to walk to several attractions and the trolley stop was right outside the main building but we will not stay here again

The property was built in the 40’s and has not been updated. The carpet and furniture looked like the original to the room. It made us feel like we were staying in a bordello with mirrors everywhere including the ceiling above the bed. If we hadn’t had so much money invested in our vacation stay we would have left. I wouldn’t ask my worst enemy to stay there.

Quite a disappointing stay. The lodge booked one or several youth football teams, and placed us right between two rooms of unaccompanied kids aged 8-12. They behaved just as you would expect, screaming and banging until after 2 am. A phone call and two visits to the office at 2 am did nothing. They called the room and gave them a warning, but sent no one down to simply listen for themselves. You could hear them simply by standing outside the room doors. I spoke to the coach myself the second day and he told me the kids were in the room themselves. He apologized but seemed overwhelmed. The lodge should have known better than to book unaccompanied kids in a room. They offered to move us the second night but said they had noise complaints from that room as well. The room was very dated, and the great river view from the balcony was spoiled by the large amount of beer cans and garbage in the stream. Also note that you need to be careful if you have kids. We came within 5 feet of a black bear strolling down the aisle in front of our room on the ground level. Likely drawn by food left behind. To sum it up, if you are looking for a hotel for sleep, check first if they are booking any football teams. Or bring ear plugs.

Pet friendly room smelled horrible. Need to take up the carpet and put down LVP. Shower outlet worked but leaked. The bed was very comfortable. Front desk was very cordial.

Great Weekend Getaway!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. My little one loved having the creek running outside our doors. Location was perfect and only minutes to the heart of Gatlinburg. Pigwon Forge was about a 20 minute drive. We will visit again.

I think I took it for granted that there would be a microwave, and table to eat at, in the room. There wasn't. (There was a small side table, but nothing table-height or desk.)
The rooms were dated, but cute dated, like a road side motel should be. It was super clean and the staff was awesome!

From checking in to the overall facility and amenities I have to give this property 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The front desk was helpful and knowledgeable, easy checkin, rooms were a little dated, but the beds were still comfortable and we felt safe and the property was quiet. The rooms were huge! We had the two bed queens on the creek side. The pool was warm and charming and hot tub was hot and relaxing. The little café attached to the pool area had great food! Make sure and try it! And they had beer available to purchase individually as well! Bonus! The café staff were pleasant and helpful as well. We will definitely be returning to this property in the future! I hope someone from the staff reads this, because you all did amazing. Thank you for making our trip end with a bang! We stayed at a couple other places in the area and this by far had the best staff and best amentities by far! They just don’t build/make hotels/places to stay like this anymore! Keep doing what you’re doing! 👏👏👏

We honeymooned here 30 yrs ago and have always came back because of the location & the people working there. ALWAYS a clean comfortable room & great service.
If I have one small negative it would have to be the condition of the property as well as the furniture & bed in the room are a bit dated and worn out. Nothing that a renovation and new mattresses wouldn't fix.
Nonetheless always a great stay. We always recommend this property to folks when they ask where they should stay in Gatlinburg and we always tell them about Sidney James.

King jacuzzi suite
My husband and I came for our honeymoon and the suite was wonderful. Very comfortable and a great place to come back to after exploring the town. We loved the jacuzzi after being cold, it's big enough for the both of us. Service was very helpful and friendly. We will be coming back

We have stayed there many times and love it. To go to Gatlinburg we can walk everywhere! Love the pools and rooms. Great staff. I like it being close to several trails and you can get good exercise walking down and back to downtown.

The hotel and staff are really good. Whomever is building next door is very inconsiderate been beating and banging since 6. I mean really it wasnt even daylight. I will stay here again though my girls loved the indoor pool.

Clean, friendly, and delightful river
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the River running outside our balcony was delightful! I was happy to be able to use a washer/dryer and they were reasonably priced. The interior was a bit outdated but had everything of a 5-star hotel.

We liked this property. Only complaints are exhaust fan in bathroom didnt work well & bathroom was dimmly lit. Theres no breakfast other than the cafe, but we liked the cafe however it was closed twice while there. Thats an issue because breakfast is hard to get around town. Otherwise, we will stay there again. Pool was awesome, staff so nice, nice view, well located.

I won’t lie, the best part about this motel is the pool, it was such a beautiful pool with so much potential, this hotel would be one of the best in gatlinburg if it was updated for the area some, microwaves in rooms, new bedding, new curtains, our room didn’t have batteries in the remote and when I asked they found 2 that also didn’t work so we had to change the TV manually as well. The parking situation in front of my room was also less than pleasant, it’s was like playing Tetris with cars, I loved the staff of the hotel though, very polite.

This hotel was barely a step above a motel 6. The room was very dated and dirty. The towels are so rough and old from multiple washes that they literally made me bleed. Also, Covid is long over, you can resume housekeeping again? Significantly overpriced for what it is.

The price vs what we got was not expected. Yes the tub was nice and the room size was nice. Just needs updated - clean yes - old feeling yes. Fire place was nice. We didn't have are kids but they would of loved the pools.

Average room with typical weird unintentional artwork. Pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, sundries, and toilet paper were low quality. Indoor pool area was manageable but had standing water in the observation area; it was slippery. Hot tub was a nice temperature however really dark. Towels are provided in the swim area which was a plus. There were not enough parking spaces for the occupancy and the lot is difficult to navigate. If you’re arriving late, be mindful that parking may be a challenge. Nighttime attendant was abrupt and had us park down the block and across the street. Cafe food is typical American grill. It was convenient to order from the app and pick it up but you can eat in as well. It’s about 10min walk to main drag. Depending which way you go, you’ll be going uphill for a bit.

Creekside room was clean and everything functioned (there was one broken plug on lamp but everything else was fine). The pools were clean, warm and well maintained. The cafe was convenient to grab breakfast. The staff was awesome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There was some morning noise from construction behind motel and not a great view at moment but the motel can’t do anything about that. Prices were very reasonable. We had a great stay!

room was clean but had no microwave and the beds were very uncomfortable. the door to the balcony would not open and the balcony would have been to small to even sit on. hotel needs updated badly.

The pictures falsified the reality. Upon checking in they gave a foul smelling room that ended up having black mold all over the bathroom. They moved us right away. The second room was right above the first room and still smelled horrible. But no visible mold. The next morning hotel staff walked right into our room without knocking. We cancelled our reservation and left that very gross hotel as soon as that happened.

The property was nice, it was dated but still great for the price. The pool cafe was closed due to staffing issues according to one of the gentleman on staff. The bed was decent. We booked on a whim, we’re not disappointed.

It was nice enough room. A little dated. There is a mirror on the celling over the bed. The walk to the Gatlinburg strip is not too bad , and there is a triply stop right out the main entrance which is nice. It also is only a short drive the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.

One of the terrible experiences I’ve ever had the room were full of bugs and the staff were rude never cleaned our rooms and we ordered a crib for our kids and they said we don’t have one it’s really bad experience i would never do there again

I loved the jacuzzi however there was only 9 different channels with nothing on to watch. The curtains would not close all the way.
There was also a very lite weird odor to the room.
I asked where to throw away my pizza box and the front desk lady wanted me to walk a cross the street to the dumpster. I found that very inconvenient.
The ice machine was not working.
However the bed was pretty comfy and very quiet environment.

I advised them it was to be our Honeymoon and if they felt like adding a little something that would be appreciated. NOTHING.....at super8 they treated me better for my birthday!!!! DULY NOTED
I requested extra pillows, nope, the old guy working nights at the front desk is a horrible person btw
