Spend your money elsewhere!
Very disappointed! Rooms were very old and needed a lot of work to bring them up to just par. Carpets were filthy. The phone in the room did not work, the internet disconnected us at least twice an hour - no exaggeration! And they routinely shut off all the lights on us at least twice a day - early morning and again in the evening. Not late, but evening, when people should be up and in the rooms. The TV would stay on, as would the microwave, but all of the lights and power would go out and our phones and computer would die. They said it was because the electrical was installed on a timer and they could have someone look at it. Don't look at it - fix it! Don't allow it to happen, but it did all 3 days and night...ridiculous! Walls and floors were paper thin and could easily hear everything adjoining and above. A LOT of weird characters hanging around outside all day and night to the point where we were afraid to leave our vehicle unattended. WE booked this because of the rating, but I have no idea how they had the rating they did. The staff was nice enough, but few spoke English so no matter what you said, or asked, they just smiled and said thank you. The bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was good, but there was no sink space for placing anything. And the TV was a good size, but old and did not have a good picture. All in all, I do not recommend this place.

It should be mandatory for hotels housing people on a semi-permanent basis to divulge that, it made for an unpleasant experience. The police were there every day sometimes multiple times a day. You could not get near the breakfast buffet, they were often out of items.

Don’t stay here!
Don’t stay here. Floors so dirty your feet will turn black within minutes. Socks are ruined. My daughter crawled on the carpet before we noticed & had dirty black hands & knees. Booked a pet friendly room, didn’t get asked about my dogs & upon checkout get told I’ll have pet fees for a non pet friendly room. Didn’t they see that I booked that room & be sure to ask? Or stopped me when they saw us coming & going through the front door or on cameras? I truly don’t think I should have been charged for the pet fees since it wasn’t our fault. When we told her about the condition of the floor she said we didn’t complain last night so it’s our fault but all they’d do is move us to another dirty room. I didn’t want to repack up my kids for that. Just feel like I paid way way too much for what we got.

Don’t waste your time
I did not stay here . Upon arrival red flags everywhere, people hanging around in parking lot, very unkept person walk directly into hotel and upstairs. Went to check out room upon opening Door fouls odor, nasty carpet and smelly room . cancelled this hotel all together

The floors were absolutely disgusting in both rooms that we booked. Socks turned black and we did not dare walking barefoot. One bed was obviously not clean and the sheets had something on them as well as a very noticeable hair between the fitted sheet and top sheets. We got back to our room very late after a concert and there was nobody at the front desk to help us so we didn’t even bother waiting around. They also do not have cribs or pack’n’plays even though both hotels.com and their own website says that they do. One room smelled incredibly musty and almost like mold, the other room was hot and humid even with the a/c fan kicked on. I absolutely wouldn’t book here again.

Looking at the pictures on the website compared to the actual place is like night and day. The lady who greeted us could be warmer and just being at the reception area, my family did not like the place immediately. I asked for a cancellation but she said no. Ok, so we decided to stay, upon reaching our room, there was this smell so we ran the ac until at least it was tolerable. As we tried to get comfortable, the suite we were in felt like we went into a time warp. The furnishings, carpet and linens were old! My family just sucked it up basically and tried to ride it out and when morning came, we couldn't wait to leave. How much they charged for the place compared to what we received was totally not worth it. The place was dirty and my son found bugs. This place is in the extremely low side and totally would not recomment staying here and even staying at any Super 8 places. In fact I should ask for a refund and felt rob for the amount of money we paid. Totally not acceptable. Sad.

Worst stay. Rented a king suite. 5 outlets in room didn’t work. It was on the third floor. Next morning e woke up and elevator was out. My husband is handicapped. Asked when it would be fixed. They had no idea. Told them my husband couldn’t do stairs. They said they could move us to first floor but room was smaller. We reluctantly agreed. They moved us to a handicap room with a double bed. Very uncomfortable. Woke up next morning to the fire alarm going off. Had to evacuate. Went to check out and asked if they were going to comp us for the difference in room size. They told us no. Paid for a king suit for three days. Ended up in handicap with double bed for two of those days. Management is horrible. Will never stay there again.

The carpet was like a coat of something , it felt moist, and the bathroom floor was sticky , not sure if or what product being used to wash the tiled floor, and the mattress felt broke down on each side of it , needs some better products.

I was confounded that I could not find tea in my room or in the breakfast nook and I had requested some from the front desk after I checked in and only found 3 types of coffee. Considering what I was charged for the room, I do not think my request was out of line. I also could not figure out how to get the listed TV channels on the TV with a placard right next to the TV, but no instructions on how turn on the correct App to view those channels.

We got there at 12:30 since the hotel told us the room was ready. When getting there we walked into a dirty room. Our room wasn’t ready till 4:30 pm and by that time check in was past 2 hours and 30 mins. First time and last time I never have an issue with super 8 until this last experience

Cigarette smoke seeps from bathroom vent
Excellent hotel except for a few minor flaws: (1) Starting about 10 pm and lasting until about 3 am every single night, someone was smoking in another room nearby. The cigarette smoke emanated into my room and I had to close the bathroom door. If I had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, it was disgusting like walking into a nightclub in the 1980s. I suspect someone is living in the other room semi-permanently and has disabled their smoke alarm or found a way to smoke every night without repercussions. (2) Half of one outlet near the desk, the entry light, and two lamps didn't work. At least on the bright side, the in-lamp sockets were not wiggly like they usually are at hotels. (3) The table is ridiculously small which made it difficult to do my work. Barely enough room for a laptop and mouse pad.

Literally trash. I booked on expedia for two beds and we walked in to only one bed. Good thing my other friend couldnt make it because it would have been three of us in one bed. Front desk was beyond rude yelling at me through the phone that her system says one bed and that she couldnt do anything about it, whatever. Huge stains on the bed sheets, I asked for new bed sheets, sink was also disgusting with brown stains all over it so we asked if they could clean it. maids said i have to call front desk. front desk calls OUR room to tell us that we are complaining too much and if we complain again we have to leave. we asked for disinfectant to wipe the sink ourselves and front desk basically said no and hung up the phone. she also said that the maids were clocked out and had to clock back in to change our stained sheets. how is that my problem? the sink was so clogged and no water would go down and there was like grass or something in it? im thinking it was clogged with vomit. we didnt call the front desk because we didnt want to be yelled at or kicked out for "complaining too much". we had to wash our hands and face in the shower instead. we left for the night and came back around 2 and i decided to let the front desk know that the sink was clogged the entire time so that we wouldnt be charged for it. front desk man was fast asleep it took ten other people to bang on the window to get him awake. anyway he finally woke up and was telling everyone to go to their rooms.

More attention needs to be paid to ice in the parking lot, especially near the side exit door. Pet fee was higher than any Super8 I’ve stayed at. It was nearly 1/3 of the room charge.

Front desk manager wasn't helpful. She didn't know how to work with customers from Expedia. She was following rules of the hotel and not the ones on Exp site listed for this property. If Exp has wrong details on website, they should be corrected, but she kept saying they don't own this information and I had to call Exp CS.

Terrible Experience
Towels were not clean, I had to clean the toilet myself. It was black stains on it. I didn’t even pull the covers back because after the dirty bathroom I was not about to sleep on the sheets. Multiple noises from the rooms next to me and upstairs. No sleep at all.

Room 103 has a sour smell to it. Sheets were stained. Owner is rude. I’ve stayed at multiple super 8 across the country and never had a bad experience until this one. Would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel!

Their system is not good. If you book online there is no any check in/out times and after booking they will say that yu have to wait or book another room. Their purpose only money. They do not want to serve you in better way. In my experience i do not recommed anyone to book a room from this motel. I needed a room now at 2 am at the midnight and it's already 27th of August I chose my staying date as 27 to 28. After booking it shows check in time 3 pm and I asked them to change the check in time because i need to take rest but they refused, I already paid their service is not good and they suggested me to cancel the room they booked and book another one with the new check in time. Are you kidding?. The reception should be changed or should get out off work because their english is not good and their service as well. They do not know how to explain the situation and they do not even understand the system.

Great for a Simple stay and near everything.
It was pretty nice! No-frills, simple room, quiet for the most part, free simple breakfast and coffee. I felt very comfortable and it was exactly what I needed for my weekend in Mundelein. Staff was very kind as well.

You get what you pay for.
Very economical place to stay, but comes with drawbacks. 1. Bed wasn't too comfortable. 2. Cosmetic drywall repairs needed and carpeting needs replacement. 3. Breakfast was substandard - warm yogurt, one type of milk, no hard boiled eggs and juice machine didn't work.

It was fairly loud late at 1 and 3:30am. Musty smell in the room. Having one ice machine only isn’t very convenient. Should be able to use the tub and there was no plug or anything.

This property is showing its age.. We checked in (which did not go well for a second time) to get in a room that smelled like what can only be described as cat pee. This smell was also out in the hall. We asked to be moved to a different room. This room was again looking its age but at least smelled OK. Not the best stay ever.

The entire facility was smelly; even the room had a musty smell. The room was clean, but everything was worn and scuffed up. The person at the front desk was very gruff and not terribly welcoming. There were men drinking in the parking lot during the day when we checked in and men laying around on the grass in another area. No one was threatening per se, but there was a general uneasiness with having that many guys just hanging around doing nothing, and for the safety of my vehicle. We ended up checking out after our affair in the area that evening; choosing to drive home rather than stay there.

If i could give this hotel negative stars I would definitely give it a -20 due to many reasons. I would like to start off with "Please, do not stay here." if this is a last resort option for you, keep looking. You're better off sleeping in your car. I came here with no expectation other than a clean, smoke free room. As it states it is a Non-smoking room. It smelled like smoke. Once we got settled in I thought everything was fine. I just didn't let the smoke bother us. Slept for a few hours and a day passed by and I started to notice bed bug bites on my face, arms, chest, etc. I am very allergic to insects so my bites got really huge fast. After searching the bed, I noticed tiny red bloodspots in 10 places on the sheets and pillows. I even bought a magnifying glass at Walmart and found bed bug larvae eggs on the sheets. They were similar to little grains of rice that were an off white color and i found about 5 of those. At this point i had enough. I had very important errands to run so I came back and brought this matter to the attention of one of the managers named Isita Patel. I was really nice about it at first until it got very hostile quick. She raised her voice at me multiple times, told me we brought the bed bugs with us, and said about ten times "you are not getting the refund for sure. " Maybe if she said it five more times I would understand. She is very condescending, not understanding, and has a very ugly attitude about things that should be important to her

Nothing fancy, but cheap price.
Quiet room - not busy. Room smelled bad, like smoke, though it's all no-smoking. OK breakfast - a grab & go brown bag with yogurt, fruit cocktail, granola bar and sweet roll. Bed mattresses were pretty soft and well worn. Carpeting in entry way to room was torn - needs replacement. Nice to see a Veterans parking spot near the front entrance. No closet, only a rack to hang up clothes.

Great value for the price. No complaints. Front desk was awesome and helpful. Very clean rooms and parking lot. Noticed the maintenance man over the two days I stayed here always cleaning.
