This may be the best Super 8 I've ever used. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the building and room were well-maintained and functional, the decor was nice, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast, while not elaborate, was sufficient and plentiful. All this while still being the second lowest price in the listings. If I ever need a room in this area again, it would be worth going slightly out of the way to use them.

The room had furniture with tears in it. Half of the breakfast items were either non existent or not available. The "smoke free" facility reeked of cigarette smoke all throughout. Carpets were filthy. Elevator only half worked. Ive stayed here for years and its never been bad. Not likely to stay here again after this trip.

Everything about this place is just average/adequate. The room needs a door stop so don't hit wall every time you open the door. When room sleeps 4/4 persons checking in then there should be at least 4 towels (not 3) and enough toiletries for them (not 1 teeny tiny tube of shampoo). Liners were so small they barely fit trash cans in room, when they did. Mattresses were hard - could have used mattress toppers at least to make them more comfortable. Sleeping area is decent but bathroom so small door almost hits the toilet. Breakfast was just so so. Hallway and especially stair carpets need steam cleaned not just vacuumed. All workers were pleasant but seemed like they were doing the best with what they had to work with. Whole place needs a refresh. Would look for better place to stay next time.

Very dirty. The tub/shower floor was filthy. Blankets had burn holes. Would never stay at a Super 8 again!

I was curious of what to expect. I rarely stay in Super 8 hotels, but this one was OK. Hotel.com said it had an 8.4 rating and I agree. The service and people were great. The room was clean although a bit worn. Sheets clean, bathroom clean.

The only room available last minute was a two queen mattress room, which was fine for me. I used their super plush pillows frim one mattress and put them on the mattress i slept on. The mattress was so confortable, pillow top, yet firm underneath. Its the exact type of mattress Id want at my home. I slept a solid 10 hours and was very rested when i woke up.
The air conditioning unit in the room was at a perfect setting which had also help with the comfort of the room. I am definitely going to be coming back.

Gross... stay somewhere else.
We booked this hotel because it had a high "cleanliness" rating- which is the most important thing to me. I am not sure how they got such a high rating, because this hotel was gross and run down. We found hairs all over the place in the bathroom, which leads me to believe they were all over, but we couldn't tell due to the carpeting. The ceiling over the bathroom was broken and stained (again, gross). And everything was just, dirty! The air was not on when we entered the room, so we turned it on as it was a hot day and it was rather warm in the room. It rattled all night and pushed out a lukewarm, mold smelling air.
The lady that checked us in was really nice, and the artwork of Starved Rock stare park all ober the place was also very nice. But I never want to pay money and stay at a place that makes you feel gross... and this hotel definitely made me feel gross. Like, keep your shoes on while you walk around the room and try not to touch anything... gross. Stay somewhere else.

Breakfast selections were very poor!! Only two kinds of cereal and no eggs!!!! Tiny prepackaged muffins and bagels. Compared to other hotels in this class their breakfast scores at the bottom of the list!! The front desk manager was wonderful!!

This property was ok, but the AIR CONDITIONER THE 2 ROOMS WE CHECK OUT BLEW PURE MOLDY STINKING AIR. MY ASTHMA WAS ACTIVATED WITHIN 5 MINUTES. LEFT THE HOTEL AS WE COULD NOT STAY THERE.

The staff was wonderful. Very nice and accommodating. There was a glitch at breakfast and the hot food didn't get ordered during our stay, but I believe that wasn't the case regularly. Everything was clean and maintained, just an older property. The bottom sheet didn't fit the mattress very well and I couldn't get it to stay on at night. It was a nice value for the price and easy access to highway and attractions.

Air Quality.
The room had a smell to it. Don't know if it was the A/C or not. It could have used automatic air fresher that would work all the time. Our friends room smelled also.

Clean. The bathroom was very small. Separate sink area was also very small. Breakfast was very odd. Eggs for sandwiches but no sausage or bacon. No fruit. Staff were friendly and courteous. Hotel was quiet.

Very helpful and friendly front desk clerk. Patient and in a great mood. However, tub did not drain at all, requiring a shower in dirty water. It is impossible for maids to not know tub is stopped up. This is quite nasty. A list way to finish visit.

Smoky stink.
As we were checking out, the staff that was cleaning had pulled mattresses out in to the hallway, and was smoking while doing their cleaning. For a non smoking place (or at least I thought it was), I found this to be so inconsiderate. Every mattress in the place was then exposed to cigarette smoke, and the hallway also had odors of trying to cover up smoke. Super disappointing.

I was highly and pleasantly surprised about the cleanliness of this Super 8. I haven’t had great experiences in the past staying at various ones but this one was the best by far. The building was pretty clean too and it was quiet. The only con was the outlight on the lamps- when you turn the lights out all the power to the room is off so if you need to charge electronics you leave the lights on and basically unscrew the bulbs which is weird but for $80 a night it doesn’t matter. I would definitely stay here again.
