It's always a pleasure staying here. The front desk staff has always been nice to my family. The rooms are clean as well as the beds and towels. My only dislike is other patrons with their untrained pets. Barking dogs should not be allowed. Besides no real breakfast, this was a perfect stay.

The towels were dirty, bed sheets had stains but were washed "I pray". Parking lots wasn't lit the best. The floors had not been vacuumed for sure. Inconsequential but the fridge wobbled which can simply be fixed by twisting a leg to the correct height underneath. Cost was the same as an Econo Lodge which would have been nicer. Interior of the entry of hotel for checkin needs to be cleaned. There is a dead spider right next to the buzzer.

Stay away.
Chairs in room were gross. No coffee in room OR in lobby at 7 am. Heat had to be set on high only. No vending machines where marked, I know minor issue, lamp shades in room were disgusting looking. Floor was sticky.

Terrible stay. First of all, they didn’t have the room I reserved available so I had to pay more when I got there. The room was DISGUSTING. I literally couldn’t even eat the food I brought with me. The shower was so gross I just went without. I will absolutely spend a little more $$ to not deal with another red roof inn ever again.

I Do Not Recommend ßtaying at this hotel at all
The room I booked was not the room I got ok stuff happens I understand but when it came to check out time management was very unfriendly I asked for 20 mins extra to check out told 11 00 am check out time one person told me yes that's fine then manager was knocking on door saying I had 5 mins there is no extension of I want to pay $20 I could stay 1 hr if not you got 5 mins to get out and leave door open so he made sure door was open and stayed opened whole I was getting my stuff together people passing by could look right in while I was packing I Ii found out I'm not the only one that got treated like that there been others manager was luckh that I didn't lay my hands on him to teach him cuztomer service he needed it to be beaten into him they know nothing about customer service remember customers are the one that pay the bills and there slary this one definitely giving Red Roof a bad name

I booked at the red roof by mistake thiknking it was the hotel across the street.
This place is terrible. Smells rooms are falling apart from toilet to air conditioning didnt work. Entry door didn't close. When i complained they just said.... its ok. Hahaha not ok. They acted like they are hearimg these complaints for the first time. Had to pack up and go across the street to the other remodeled hotel. Honestly i dont know how this place stays open.

Do not recommend. Feels unsafe with all kinds of men just hanging around outside all hours of the night and asking you for money. Room was not very clean. A/C made a loud noise all night. The tub was clogged. We checked out early and customer service at the front desk was not very good as we had issues with them not wanting to refund our money for the nights we didn't stay.

Rate my stay... I know how Expedia can let a hotel like this stay on their listing. Three broken things in the room: insude door handle kept slipping off, shower nozzle missing screw and slips off, AC cover fell off. Oh, inside bathroom had a huge hole! False advertising, pool closed (and from other reviews over a year) and flashing marquee said Hot Waffles, which there were none. Floor was filthy on the rooms and 2 dead beetles (at least they were not alive). Just gross and broken... oh, AC was super loud. Kept being woken up cause when it clicked on it sounded like a storm.

Very Old and Discussing Place
This was the worse place i have ever stayed. There were holes in the walls, like someone had a fight in there. Holes in the bathroom door. The floor had little pieces of rocks that were probably tracked in from outside, so most likely the floor was never swipe. The sheets were stained, the towels looked stained or dirty. Guy at the front desk was ok but didn’t speak good English. The free was above 6 small powdered doubts and bad coffee.
I should have read the reviews before booking because they are all bad.

The door wouldn’t close on the top floor so they move me downstairs to 112 112 was disgusting. It had yellow pillows. It had a burn marks on the sheets, the toilet had a hole in the back of the wall. It had bedbugs it had roaches the lock was broken, I have pictures and videos. I want my refund back I have insurance on it.

The room was not clean. The breakfast is pitiful. They have a sign that says waffles for breakfast and they serve them. The coffee is horrendous. I don’t recommend this property.

This was the nastiest place I have ever been in! Blood on the walls, and even worse, there was blood on the ice bucket!!!! Food left in microwave. There was a soda pop bottle the headboard on top of the box springs that NOBODY could have missed if they changed the sheets I. had to go ask for disinfectant to clean areas myself and really did not want to touch anything since it might have dried blood on it. I will NEVER stay in a Red Roof again! EVER!!!!

An ok stay
Decent location and there’s places to eat and get gas within walking distance. My only issue with this stay was the cleanliness of the room and the pool is closed down. The room was dusty in a lot of areas, finger prints on furniture, mold in the bathroom, dirty under the fridge. It didn’t feel properly cleaned.

Price was good. That said, the bathroom needed a good cleaning. They didn't like that we asked for more towels more than once. It was hot and their pool was closed. Continental breakfast was very poor. Location was good for where we needed to be. Their grounds need to be cleaned.

Trash everywhere, overflowing trash cans so the feral cats thats roam the property drag the trash all ovwr the parking lot. Sheets were dirty and damp from humidity cause they dont run A/C until you check in and turn it on yourselves so it takes a couple hours before its not 100 degrees in the room. Bedding was god awful. Pillows were flat and rock hard and stained. Bathroom had mold and pubes everywhere. They state free continental breakfast but all they had was mini cereals. Staff was pretty nice at checkin an checkout but other then that this place was overall disgusting and definitely not worth $100 a night.

It was quiet and cool. The bed sheets were clean, but there was hair all over the mat between mattresses. The tub was not clean, lots of dust on wall behind table where the plug ins were. The pool was closed. When we got to breakfast bar we’ll before closing time, there were no cereal or donuts.

Seems like a Truckers stop/temporary workers sight
It was very brief as it was not so good. The room had a couple dead bugs within. The door looked as it was potentially going to be burgaled if I went away from area. There unfortunately was drug use going on one my level around the corner overlooking the covered with a dirty tarp pool; which was advertised as open. The breakfast I was told at check in was reduced to coffee/ juice and a donut. Woman that might stay here even solicited me while I was on the phone outside of room with agent complaining about the poor condition. The TV was stuck on one channel as neither my young son nor I could get any change with the remote other than power on and off. The room smelled musty and there was a broken light next to my door. If I had to stay the only comfort was the camera at the corner; if it was on. Fortunately I able to close this reservation and move from this location!

My stay was the worst ever. The room was disgusting. There was roaches in the room. There was water coming from the bathroom ceiling. Room smelled like mold. The ceiling was cracking. There was a dead mouse at the main entrance of the building. The pool was closed

Check in staff was not friendly at all, not rude, just no social skills. Room seemed clean, though it looked dirty. White towels were well past their expiration date. Giant sign in front read HOT WAFFLES, sign at counter said, "No waffles, breakfast includes cereal, milk, donuts. I did not partake. Sketcy area, paper thin walls. Listened to whatever movie the people in the next room were watching till about 3am. Luckily, all I needed was a bed for 2 nights so it fit my needs but I don't think anyone else I know would have stayed there.

It was an ok stay especially for the money!
This is the second time for me to stay at Red Roof Inn off of Hwy 20 and take a right behind a Wendy’s.
I only wish that they had a decent breakfast. But I’m pleased to say that that the staff was helpful to me-but again if you treat them right, they will treat you just as nice. Being kind goes a long way and it doesn’t take much effort on your side. But thanks to all of you.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Smelled of marijuana smoke, thick dust around every wall, one of the outlets didn’t work, plumbing loose on the wall that you need to hold with one hand while turning the faucet with the other, shower head must be held by hand to take a shower, garbage from previous guest in room, floors sticky, hasn’t be cleaned in a very long time. That’s just the things I could see. A truly awful place. Manager was polite and apologetic, red roof corporate customer service were very professional. I received a refund plus a voucher for a stay anywhere in the USA. Red roof is fine in general. The Cartersville location needs a major remodel. Terrible.

Disappointing
Our room was clean and comfortable however the back side of the hotel was unkept, run down and in poor repair. The pool was closed and the pool area was a mess. Broken furniture and dirty. The breakfast was a joke - stale donuts and cold cereal. No other options although the marquee advertised waffles in huge letters.

Very disappointing breakfast. Advertised had waffles but said due to Covid not available. But then one jug of juice and milk for all guests to use. Not worried about Covid with that. Lobby had a strong perfume scent that was very overpowering and not pleasant.

Worst service in my life
I stayed with my girlfriend two days spoke
We had issues out the gate the lady who didnt seem intrested in our issues and instead of finding out what happend she kind of just called us dirty so my girlfriend woke up with a bunch of bite size marks all over her back legs and stomach i asked if there was anything they could do about this and she said no seeing as we didnt go anywhere for two whole days after they couldnt give me a straight answer to when their manager would be back so i could talk to someone she laughed as she was checking us out of the room

NO SLEEP
There were not that many people staying there and there were a lot of room empty .We were at the end and there were other rooms that was empty next to us. They put a couple of women next to us which they could space out the room by putting the women and my family room apart instead the women us next to us and about 3.00am they were up and talking and making so much noise. We had a little one that was in a competition and need the rest that why we stay there to get closer to the event that occur at 8.30am the next morning. I thought they were outside because it sounds so close to our door, I call the office to see if they would ask them to move down a little but the talking loud continue and then my daughter when to the office to ask if he could call their room and to low it down. They are continuous until that left about 5.00am by that time my little was so tied that morning because less sleep. Since the other rooms where empty I which they could space the rooms. I didn't realize the wall was that thin.

Our king room was on the back so very quiet. The room was nicely done with new furniture and most importantly a comfy bed with clean bedding. Laminate floor so no nasty carpet issues. Overall very pleased and a great value. Will stay again on future trips.

Family weekend get away
Staff was super friendly. There’s room for improvement where cleanliness is concerned, but by no means gross.
You get what you pay for, and the rooms are a great rate !
We will definitely come back for another stay soon.

Great for the $$$
Clean and comfortable I loved the fact there is no carpet, shower is great. My only complaint would be and it's not that big of a deal but they put 1 pack of coffer and 1 sugar package with 2 coffee cups, there was 2 of us and breakfast is dry cereal and hard powdered donuts of which we just don't eat that stuff. All in all it is clean and comfortable

This property is oldwr and shows that it is. Like rusted hand rails and cracks around the tub that new new caulking, trim on some furniture damaged, etc... but all were operational and usable. Beds were comfortable and clean, and bathrooms and towels were clean and stocked. We where only there for a weekend tournament, so just needed a safe clean place to sleep and bath, and this was a great hotel for that. Pool was closed for season, and we were not there long enough to attempt to use other amenities from the hotel.

I’ve stayed at this motel many times. The bed is always comfy and it’s quiet. Floors are usually dirty so I wear socks always. The decor is old and beat up but I guess the owners are trying to survive the economy. I’ll stay again.

I did not even stay. The friend who was helping me move stayed. I think he was used to staying in places like this. I would have rather slept in my car. Possible drug deal in the parking lot. Felt unsafe. The room smelled horrible. The bedding was in terrible condition. I actually shivered. The toilet seat almost fell off. I walked out the door. Run away.

DON’T STAY HERE!!! This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my entire life. The place looks like it caters exclusively to hookers, johns, and unsuspecting travelers. The room was disgustingly dirty, towels, sheets, and bedspread were stained. As I attempted to fall asleep I kept wondering if the stains had just never washed out or merely dried. YUCK! The floor was filthy and sticky. The shower & tub was disgusting and covered in mold. The towel bar had fallen off and there was toilet paper stuffed into the holes in the wall. Sink still had hair and toothpaste in it. I kick myself for not asking for another room, but it was late and I was tired. Who leaves a room that way?? Do not come here unless you’re the health dept. inspector and are planning to shut this place down.

Outside of property had trash everywhere and the ceilings in the rooms was really nasty. Also one of the rooms had a big hole in the wall and the bathroom door was broken. Rooms in general just aren’t cleaned properly at all.

Always Low Expectations with Red Roof
Same old experience at a Red Roof. Musty smelling and blah. Front desk lady was unfriendly, but otherwise, you just get what you pay for with Red Roof. Dog friendly and cheap, so we'll keep doing it for quick stops on family trips, but I just go in with low expectations to begin with and am rarely disappointed that way.

Not my first choice
It was clean enough to rest out heads quickly overnight but the night check in person acted like I was gonna rob her if she cracked the window wider than my credit card. The continental breakfast was literally only frosted flakes. Some weird unidentifiable noise.

Cockroach hotel! Stay Away!!
This was a last minute type check in because I was traveling and tired. The property seemed fair. I checked into my room. The vinyl flooring was dirty with a boot print, but I was tired and willing to overlook. Within a few minutes I began seeing German cockroaches everywhere. I went to the front desk and the woman argued with me about seeing bugs. She came to the room with me and killed several herself. NASTY!!

I went for a little me/quiet time from the kids. I could hear children screaming and running around in other rooms. Don't get me wrong I love the sound of children's laughter but that's not what I was there for. Property management allowed people to play extremely loud music in the parking lot at 2-3am. There were holes in the walls that they stuffed with napkins instead of a simple repair. Dirty washcloths were missed/left hanging over the shower curtain. Every rack in the room was falling out the wall. The employees attitude's were dry and unwelcoming. But there were no bed bugs or roaches in my room so it wasn't a total waste.

disgusting room
my Son & I were returning home from a business trip and when we checked into our non smoking room it reeked of smoke. The clerk stated it was a non smoking room then reluctantly gave us another room. Upon entering the 2nd room I kicked off my shoes and my socks were getting dirty from the floor. The kicker was finding a full loaf of moldy bread in the dresser drawer which I took a picture of. disgusting.

Property title is misleading, hotel is a good 7 miles away from Emerson/Lake Point area, so make sure you check the actual address so you aren't disappointed.

This was a terrible experience. We checked in and the room smelled terrible. Cobwebs everywhere. But we we're tired and decided to stick it out. Got a shower and my wife started the blow dryer which promptly CAUGHT FIRE! We tried to get our money back and they would not refund it.

The pool was not open and it looks like it has never been opened this year. The air conditioner was turned off when we walked in the room. I don’t expect it to be 65 degrees but it was over 90 degrees outside that day. The bath tub/shower walls had several patches of human hair on it so it hadn’t been properly cleaned. And the tub drained very slow so that we were ankle deep in water by the time the water drained. Bed was very comfortable and linens clean. Air conditioner once we cooled down worked very well. Just passing through on our way home.

Never again
I decided to book this motel to break up a 14 hour drive home from Flordia, but I wish I would have just kept driving. The room was damp, dark, and musty smelling. The sheets had holes and were yellow and dingy. Over all the place was run down and uninviting. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe the few short hours I was there. I have never been so ready for 6am to roll around after getting in at almost 1am.

The property was dirty. Upon check in the sheets in my room were dirty and there was food in the fridge definitely indication that the room was not cleaned, I called the front desk to get my sheets changed and they stated they did not have any sheets for me to wait till the next day. After refusing they provided a sheet that i don’t know which one was worst the one in the room or the one provided by the front desk. The cereal was stale and when I requested to have the room clean the front desk was very rude and advice they only clean certain dates. THE ROOM WAS DISGUSTING AND THE SERVICE WAS WORST.

I do not recommend until they clean up. There was a rotting peach (apple?) on the AC unit in the room. The bedding was stained. Some of the lamps and outlets did not work. Tbere was a water stain on the ceiling that ran the width of the room. It was just gross.
The pool was closed for the season and that area was covered in trash.
