The staff was nice, food was also great. There's a lot of activitiess to do during the day. The hotel definitely needs a urgent renovation. The buildings need to be painted, the walls and stairs are dirty. The rooms and bathrooms need renovation and some updates, they look old and dirty.

The room was dirty and the toilet did not work. Told the front desk and nothing was done about it so we left and did stay the second night. Plus the tiki bar was out of almost everything. So bad that we left.

I loved that this place had so many restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, none of them were open. It was inconvenient as they had a shuttle that would take you places. Imagine, all meals having to leave and catch a shuttle. BTW, the shuttle number wasn't working and went straight to voicemail and then we had to spend about 20 minutes calling to get staff to tell them we wanted a shuttle. Of course, they never answered right away. Very inconvenient. The pool was great, but they said they would take our room key to pay for drinks and snacks, but the system was down so we could only pay cash. Inconvenient again. Are you seeing the theme here? This is a prime place with lots to offer but the numerous excuses made our stay less than stellar.

Property is half closed. Looks like it’s in receivership. 2 out of 3 restaurants closed, computer’s constantly down, not able to room charge and no cash accepted.

Hope the new resort will have better service
We came to the PCI to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary after getting married at this resort. About a month ago we received notification that PCI was closing and renovating to become a larger property with its sister resort.
While you're still forced to pay the resort fee, I felt cheated because the majority of the resort was closed down, aside from the front desk employees, every employee was rude and unhelpful. They spent all their time on their phones ignoring customers.
We received a warm welcome however we were given free "cocktail" coupons except we're a "sober" couple. We did share the coupons with someone who could make use of them.
There was no snorkeling equipment available as advertised, 3 years ago, we understood due to Covid, last year we were told Ian washed it away and this time no excuse, just a 'no"
When we asked for towels for the beach, I was given a hassle because all the members of my sleeping room weren't present, however my mother, 78 and disabled couldn't walk that far. We paid for 2 sleeping rooms, requested adjoining bt were given side-by-side even though the adjoining room was available.
We had some drunk and obnoxious people trying to break into our room several times and told them they were at the wrong room each time, only to find out they were in the room next to us, smoking and we were forced to keep our doors closed to avoid the pollution.
We were assured our stay would still be great despite their impending closure yet it wasn't.

We adore The Post Card and the staff is always so helpful and kind. We are very happy to hear of their upcoming closing for remodeling. It is in real need of a face lift to match the photos on their website. However, the staff and general feel of being in their oasis is still a lovely experience which brings us back. Having updated rooms, amenities and more restaurant options will be worth the wait for 2024. See you soon Post Card!

The room was very small for the price.. A/C made loud noises even after complaining and having engineer up two times. Cleaning lady tried to walk in without knocking (thank God door was locked) bed felt like it was used and worn, outdated. Slept horrible

Chose the postcard in for the number of restaurants and bar establishments. When we got there, there was only one bar/restaurant open with a limited menu. Most of the time you could hear the construction equipment beeping as they backed up around the units. My understanding is they are going to close, the complex on November 111/2023 for complete renovation. Very disappointing.

We had a great time. Louis on the maintenance team was super! Great personality and professional. The only bad thing I can talk about is the stupid barn door on the bathroom. I understand you all are renovating soon but please put a real door in the bathrooms.

I didn’t like that we tried to stay another night and one staff said “since you booked with Expedia, we would have to check you out and back in”. Then the staff next to her said “no, no reservations available”. Very strange.

Amazing views of ocean, staff constantly cleaning, even though they had begun renovations and it was off season. Got turned around a couple of times because old directional signs literally sent you in opposite direction of where you wanted to go (Abel's). But sure that'll change with final renovations.

Fun place to stay in Islamorada
Great place to stay. Renovated rooms are very nice. We had Marina View and loved the view and location. Service at the raw bar was excessively slow for a Saturday. They could have sold 2-3x more food and drink during the football games if they were better organized.

Mediocre at best
Rooms need to be updated. Stayed in the 400 building. Smelled like marijuana was growing in a room the entire weekend. Check in staff customer service was awful. Check in "manager" was far from accommodating. We had three rooms. My mother made a mistake and accidentally booked for one night instead of two, even with cost not being a huge issue we were willing to figure it out since it was her mistake. Manager was just far from accommodating or kind to say the least. The 400 building needs repairs. The pool area is mediocre. By the 500 building and starbucks multiple post that are holding up a roof look like they are going to collapse. For the cost, and safety stay elsewhere till they can get it together

We actually really like the set up they have there with the collection. We booked to go back so it has something special. There are renovations going on it seems like it will be going on a bit because the 200 building opens in 2024. The lobby was nice and check in was smooth. What was surprising was our oceanfront room was very dated and misleading because the photos on your website show newer looking rooms and decor. The flooring in the showers is dangerously slippery because it’s the same as the rooms flooring. The room we had could use a big refresh and we had sand in our bed after it was cleaned. Our next stay we booked a Lanai King so we hope for more pleasant results. The location and property are in a prime location. The beach is great. We had fun.

For the prices that we paid. The staff was not knowledgeable when you ask questions about the menu. We had to go to Robbies to get conch fritters and butterfly shrimp.
The views are beautiful the restaurant is beautiful but I prefer the old management.we have been going there since the 80s.👌

The staff is really kind & accommodating & it is a nice place BUT of all of our Key hotels this was the most expensive & the least accommodations. The water here is murky, the room smelled of mold & our feet were black walking in the hotel room after showering the kids just being in the room, lots of construction, only 4 or less of rentals (bikes, kayaks, paddle boards) so we couldn’t rent things in the resort fee. All of the staff were so kind & all were constantly working hard so it’s a nice stay just not worth the money.

While the property was beautiful, the unbearable noises from the excavator backing up dropping off sand consistently as well as the leaf blower both starting prior to 8am on a Saturday made sleeping unrealistic. The property texted to extend my stay the night before but when I asked to check out an hour later, I was denied due to “high occupancy”. This was very confusing. I wish it was a better experience overall.

The beach area was covered in trash; discarded vapes, plastic cups, cigarette butts and was not cleaned up daily. Dogs are allowed on the beach area and not all owners clean up after themselves.

It’s a beautiful resort. The room is spacious and clean. The amenities are great, there’s a lot of things you can do or even just to sit around. The restaurants are spacious with fans and sprinklers and most importantly friendly and great staff.
They’re very nice to give credit because a portion of the hotel was under construction. It wasn’t loud or in the way of anything.

We went for our honeymoon and got a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, Ocean View, Oceanfront (Oceanfront King Lanai). It was very convenient to walk right out to the beach or the pool, but the overall room was a like dingy and dirty. When we first walked up to our room we noticed that on the lanai there was trash and dirty socks. When we walked in there was an entire full cartoon of cigarettes poking out from under the dresser. The bathroom/shower could use a little cosmetic face lift, but overall being in Islamorada, you kind of lock past all the little things, sit back and enjoy the view. You aren’t in your room very much when you’re there anyways.

Disappointing trip to one of our favorite places
We have been here several times. This trip was disappointing. The resort is very tun down. Everything is in disrepair. The service was poor, most workers seemed less than interested in what they were doing. One pol was empty of water and the other was dirty. I will say that the air conditioning in our room worked very well. The building was quiet. But the bed was old and sagging. There was a tear in the bottom sheet and no top sheet, just the comforter next to your skin!

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of amenities at the resort and the Tiki Bar serves delicious drinks. The resort os also conveniently located near entertainment and restaurants.

For the amount paid per night several issues came up & not one employee offered solutions or even appeared to care. Room safe did not work & was not even bolted down! Would not have dared to put anything in a safe someone could just walk off with. 1st day no pool towels all day. Pool bar had no change to pay for a drink with cash. We were asked to move from our spot on the beach due to being fairly close to wedding event. We moved as requested and no umbrella available. After a lot of sun for the day we had to just pick up & go the the room. Room was fair however not for $900. for 2 nights stay and the issues above.

Our stay here was nice. There was a lot to do within walking distance. The scenery was top notch, and the big pool at Postcard was great, and there were a lot of amenities like paddle boards and kayaks. The bar staff at the pool, however, was less than desirable. They were rude and slow, and Jordyn cursed at our kids for misconstruing a situation while the management never followed up with my complaint.
The guys at Pelican Cove who rent jet skis were the best. I would highly recommend them. Overall, it was a nice, laid back resort, but I don’t see us returning any time soon.

The property is in a great location. Common areas looked well maintained. However, yhe rooms were not what I expected. Room had most of the paint chipped off the doors. Our bathroom door had the back bottom missing. Not the level i expect for the price you are paying. Though i think its great the property is pet friendly i dont want to hear dogs barking throughout the entire day and into the night when im in my room. We looked at other possible locations to stay at in the future while we were there.

Bait and switch
Do not book with hotels.com or Expedia (same company) for that matter. They have a deceptive practice of overselling rooms leaving you stranded once you arrive or a clear bait and switch giving you a downgraded room that you did not book or pay for. Trip ruined! Resort was undergoing construction that was not mentioned until after we paid for the room. No big deal until you realize you won’t get the room you booked. Had to move us after giving us a room that wasn’t even close to what we paid for and had no working air conditioning. It was 87 degrees in the room. Second room was also not what we paid for and the room had an ant problem I woke up covered in a rash and bites on my arms. This resort used to be great clearly needs updating and much better customer service. Sat at the pool for 2 hours waiting for towels and no one ever came so walked to lobby soaking wet only to be told sorry but we don’t do laundry on site. First hotel we stayed at the night before was lower star but the room was immaculate and absolutely gorgeous so don’t waste your money here you’ll be disappointed. Your satisfaction doesn’t matter and any concerns or complaints fall on deaf ears.

"upgraded" and expensive oceanfront room didn't have a private balcony like the rest of the building so basically plastic chair in the common area by the stairs. Interior had a bed, a dresser, and an office-type chair - that's it. You could neither work nor sit comfortably and watch TV.

This was a last min booking for my family as we were on our way back home from Key West. We had friends in the area visiting and everything else was booked so we were just happy to find a room. We were only staying one night so it was fine.
After I booked I then received a notification that there would be construction while were were there with loud noises from 9am-5pm. Only staying one night so NBD but would have liked to know ahead of booking. The pool atmosphere was very busy and fun vibe with kids and a DJ. Location of pool is very nice and nice beach access.
However, building 400 were our room was, was gross. A cleaning cart that smelled like trash and dirty sheets etc. sat at the door the entire time we were there from 3pm - 10am next day. The hall smelled like cleaner and trash and there were dirty linens outside the rooms as laying on the floor we had to walk around. The room was 'fine'. Some parts looked newer but in general was dated feeling. The balcony looked over a pool that had no water in it and a family of 5 iguanas (which at least were entertaining to watch). The description said 2 Queen beds however these were the smallest Queen and honestly were double beds. My hubby and I tried to sleep with our 3yr old but it was tight. My parents slept in the other bed.
We ate at the tiki bar on the property and that was not good. Bad/No service. Then random charges to my CC I had to call to have removed. Will not visit again, disappointing end to our vacay.

Imagine looking forward to a relaxing weekend and being unable to sleep because a TV next door was so loud and unable to get management to respond. The 2nd night between 2-3 in the morning
I was calling and going back and forth to the lobby and meeting a security guy who finally got a key to the parking ´unoccupied room to turn it off. We returned home to work today exhausted. Additionally from 8-10 in the morning a tracker is cleaning the beach. And renovation construction noise is heard throughout the day. It could be really beautiful and some employees are nice but management did not care

Not a family friendly hotel
It was an awful stay. The service at the restaurants was terrible. They had an AC leak and downgraded us to their sister hotel. I couldn’t find any availability at any other hotel so I was forced to stay with my family. The rooms were dark and dirty and the light fixtures didn’t work. We got transferrred to another room and the safe that was in the room was detached from the wall. The guests that stayed at the pool were all touch and drunk. Not a family place!!

I just want to warn people if you book on Expedia to make sure the property knows and doesn’t put an $1100 pending charge on your credit card. Im glad I had more money in my account if not that could have ruined our trip. Everything else was great.

I purchased an oceanfront lanai room and it was great. The room was clean and comfortable. We were very greatful that the AC worked really well. All of the staff onsite were friendly and nice. It was really fun going to the marina and feeding the tarpon. We even saw some nurse sharks and manatees. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived early so i did early check in and my room took more time expected to be ready, when we finally got the room the bathroom was cloghed and the air conditioning weren’t working the phone that was on the room didn’t have tone so it wasnt working we had to text the phone number that i received the text that the room was ready. On the pool bar there is no sign of no smoking and husband was smoking and the person tending the bar was rude

We stayed in one of the cottages. It was a quiet area and the room was clean.The coffee pot would only work occasionally. The shower did not work. One of the light bulbs was burned out. No discount was given for the inconveniences. Probably would not stay there again.

Property is under construction. Only 1 pool open. Upon checking in was told the ocean front room we booked was unavailable, so we were moved to a marina room view. They did wave the $270 resort fee, comped us $150 in resort credit for food. They also refunded the difference in the room change. The property is beautiful and couldnt ask for a better location. Great customer service. Would probably return due to location, beautiful property grounds and good customer service.

This property exceeded our expectations. This was our first visit to the Keys and I had read some of the negative reviews previously submitted. I am so grateful we chose to ignore those reviews. Everything was wonderful. The customer service, amenities, food choices, and those views! Stunning. Thank you for 5 wonderful days. We hope to eventually bring our kids and grandson for a family vacation.

Not worth the money for hotel room only.
I was double charged and had to go back to the office to fix it. Saw it but the young man said it was just a hold for 100.00 but charged the full amount. I paid for 2 queen bed and we received full sized beds. Way too small for 2 people with a 6’2 person.
The bathroom sink was clogged and was gross. The grounds were beautiful and a lot of activities. This hotel use to be the holiday isles hotel back in the 70’s and 80’s

Not worth it.
Overall, we did not think this property was worth the money. All the photos were of the updated/renovated buildings and rooms. We were in a building that had been slightly updated, but needed a LOT of work. Walking into the building the carpet was stained and looked very dirty. The walls had scuffs and marks all over them.
The room (King garden view) was clean, but very underwhelming. The bed, headboard/wall, and flooring had been updated, but the bathroom was a disaster. The sink was clogged, the door hinges were rusty. There was hair on the wall. The shower rod was falling out of the wall, there were chips in the bath tub, and the door paint was chipping around the bottom. Also- the toilet was huge and square? it was so strange and uncomfortable.
I contacted the staff to ask about switching to an updated building. We were told that if we wanted to move to the newer building we would have to pay an extra $100. We had already paid almost $400 for this room.
They did offer to move us to the building beside us (it was older as well) and to have someone look at the sink. Ultimately they were no help and i was SO disappointed in the quality.
The grounds, however, were lovely. We enjoyed the Bocce ball and small beach. We did not eat at the restaurants due to bad reviews and high prices. Loreleis for dinner was a much better option.
We even looked at the other 4 resorts that you could "hop" between. Amara Cay definitely seemed more worth the $$$. We won't be back.

Clear case of buyer beware… Do. Your. Research.
I’m in a room with broken drawers, an iron the has water pouring out of it, a tv that doesn’t work/had to have someone come out to service it… The absolute worst was when I asked them to NOT come to my room because my son, 13 was alone, in the evening, while my wife and I ran a quick errand. My rate for 4 nights was 1,800… that’s well over $400 a night for this kind of service. I’m currently dealing with a clogged toilet where I’ve been calling, and asking for a plunger, for over 30 minutes… …so that I personally can unclog the only toilet in the room. I’m not frivolously asking for more incidentals like water, coffee or towels… …I’m asking for the “resort” where I’m staying to deliver on the “resort” type rates that my family and I are paying for. Your experience might be totally different, and better I hope, than mine but the information I’ve included is MY experience… …which is one I’m actively having to deal with. I’ve asked for a manager to call me to no avail. I also walked to the front desk, twice, to try to get an iron before I was able to get someone to help me… …which they had all along (there at the front desk), so still not sure why the first person was g able to do what the second person was able to do which was simply to go into a closet and provide me with one… The level of service was ABYSMAL!!!!
Also… …this is NOT a place I would recommend if you have kids. That’s a whole different review for someone else to write…

Overall underwhelming. Our room was a “garden view” that faced the parking lot. The phone in our room was broken so we addressed it with staff but it was never fixed. The refrigerator in the room was missing a leg so it wobbled when the door opened. No vent fans in the bathroom or maybe it was also broken, not sure. Most annoying part was the $45 daily resort fee for the “amenities”. Shuttle service for the other resorts was not operating. The beach was unusable for 3 out of the 5 days we were there due to red tide piling up on the beach which also came with an unpleasant odor. So kayaking and paddleboarding were only possible if you first got through about 15 ft of muck. The algae was eventually cleaned up right before the end of our trip and then the beach was nice to relax under the umbrellas. One last downside was the pool side bar closed at like 4pm on weekdays and drinks were pricey with almost no alcohol in them.
Otherwise, service at the Tiki Bar and Raw Bar were great. Food was pretty good. Rum Runners are WELL worth the money. The nightly live music was very fun. The main oceanside pool was clean and relaxing. And once the beach was cleaned up it was nice to hang out and swim there. Also the wildlife was pretty cool. Basically every night we could see Tarpon chasing fish out of the water.

We only stayed one night but it was great. No towels at the pool when we went but I utilized the request texting they provide and they delivered them straight away.

Dirty, limited, expensive and poor quality food choices. Will never recommend!!!
Shower curtain rod was falling apart. Spilled some water on the floor, wiped it up and towel used was black. So gross!

They were not able to accommodate mine and my husband’s disability the room was not cleaned with chewing tobacco stickers on the smoke detector and AC unit the shower leaked, the stairwell to the beach was blocked and broken needing to walk around the building to access the bathroom door had prior water damage the bed was made with the sheet over the comforter paid for an Ocean view room that had 2 large palm trees blocking any ocean view and they charge 500 per night??

I would not be telling the truth if I did not say this hotel was absolutely the most beautiful place we have ever stayed at. The views are wonderful. The restaurants on site all had the most delicious and fresh seafood. The way the staff made sure things were clean was outstanding. We have already discussed coming back here again due to the pure Beauty of this Resort.
