The room was NOTHING like the photos pictured on Expedia website . The king mattress was leaned up against a queen headboard , not comfortable and very noisy , the air conditioner unit was coming off wall , the bath sink counter was coming off the wall , holes in the bathroom wall , no hot water . Room was disgusting. The coffee maker still had coffee grounds in the pot and coffee maker was filthy. Why is this place still offered on Expedia when I was told by Expedia customer service that there had been other complaints !!! I have photos .

This place is the definition of false advertising. Bright cheery rooms? Wrong. Absolutely wrong. You’re welcomed with the strongest chemical fragrance to cover the black mold smell. None of the chemicals were actually used to clean the room. Black mold clear as day in the corner above the shower, along with other water damage still happening from the room above. The sink is cracked and barely drains. The doors are covered with dirt and grime. Mini fridge doesn’t cool. Stove top pans needed to be replaced forever ago. Outlets don’t work unless you prop something under to keep things charging. Holes and patches all over the walls. Ants and cockroaches will be all over the kitchenette and bathroom. All this and more was brought up to the “manager/boss” Phillip and he became hostile and disrespectful. Called my boyfriend and I liars about the cleanliness and bugs. His attempt at righting this after being screamed at, was to give us a different room, in the exact same shape. For my own sanity and safety, we left to a much better hotel. Hopefully they will use my donated paid night to fix something. Highly, highly advised to avoid. I also took pictures of the property and sent to Expedia.

The shower drain wouldn’t drain. Then we got woke up to knocking on our door around midnight from an employee stating our water was leaking into the downstairs room. Other than that the stay was decent for the price!

This was an awful hotel. First room I was in tv didn't work. They moved me to another room which the lights didn't work in the bathroom. Non working internet and when I checked out in the am I noticed they took a photocopy of my credit card info. Not secure at all

The OYO is on a beautiful channel in Cape Coral. It is centrally located, with an easy drive to the Fort Myers airport, Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the pool and channel, but during the time we stayed it was too chilly to use the pool (it is not heated). Our room had a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and had a great layout. The room could definitely use a good update and cleaning. It had mold behind the toilet and in multiple spots the walls had holes (like from door handles or previous toilet paper holders). The best part of the hotel is that the staff was always courteous and welcoming. There was an on-site laundry which was convenient after spending the day at the beach.

It wasnt what we were expecting based on the pictures. The bathroom was not pleasing nor was the bed comfortable as we felt the springs. Most of the lights didnt also. I am disappointed in the false expectations.

It wasn’t bad, but everything was old. The kitchen area was missing doors on cabinets microwave was very dirty. There was yellow stains in the sheets and the bed was way to soft that it was a bit hard to sleep due to back pain. But it was quite, the house keepers were very polite and helpful. I would stay again I just hope to not have the same room, stained sheets and maybe a more firm mattress

It was so damp our bed sheets were even damp very uncomfortable. Our clothes were damp the next morning when we got dressed. No sink stopper in the bathroom towels were old and dingy felt like sandpaper. Horrible experience this is an area that we will be visiting a few more times and we definitely will not be staying there.

Horrible smell in the room , terrible front desk service . I showed up to the hotel OYÓ after 10 hours of traveling with my pregnant wife and food. All we wanted to do was rent a room amd stay the night to sleep but once we walked in we had to turn the AC on and let it run with fa breeze spray because the smell was unbearable. And the front desk worker at the time treated me amd my wife with horrible customer service amd made various comments about us haveing our belongings just for one night !! Whatever we bring while we are guests is our problem NOT HIS. I just wanted to let’s anyone who decides to stay here to be ready with spray for your room and bring clean towels as well because the towels smelled as if they were used already! The front desk agent said he was going to return our deposit right after we checked out and it’s already been two weeks after our check out and me and my wife still have not received our 100 deposit back in our account amd we are haveing a new born child so any money for me counts right now!! Also the last time we checked in was August 9th to August 10th , also charged 100$ deposit and the day after we received a email with 85.09$ of refund for deposit when we did absolutely nothing wrong in that room so make sure you double check your bank reports and call the hotel of anything happens because this guy is mean and treats all his guest with attitude and disrespect. No one deserves that because all we go there for is to rest our head and sleep!!!!!

Enjoyed Old Florida Charm photographs and tropical botanical prints on walls! Bedding was clean and comfortable. Nice to have kitchen for food prep - but no pans, cups, plates, forks, etc provided. Refrigerator was adequate for cooling and freezing - just not in the door.
Older property in need of care: we carry our own power strip, so ONLY ONE properly working outlet in bedroom area was adequate - for us. Kitchen outlet non-functional.
There was a desk and one chair in the room and a bench at the foot of the bed, but another chair would have made our stay much more comfortable.
Bathroom sink and toilet were clean. Enjoyed the (clean) shower head with multiple settings. Loved the stone tiling in shower floor. Towels were clean but nubby and no longer fluffy. I was grateful that they were clean! Seriously.
Housekeeping definitely needs to pay more attention to cleaning kitchen (especially stove area) along with corners of floors! There was still food gunk on stove and on counter next to stove. Sink drain in kitchen and overflow drain the bathroom sink were - icky. Trash can for kitchen area is too small to be useful when cooking.
There were still metal marks on walls from new shower curtain rod installation and wall in bathroom sink area needed painting where new towel bar had been installed. Back of bathroom door needs cleaning.
A/C worked well for first couple of days we were there, but by night 5 it was difficult to get our room cool.

The hotel name on this site did not match the name on the signs. The awnings were tattered and the little dock in the channel was in shambles. I should have seen it as a red flag but maybe they were transitioning to a new name and updating things after the hurricane. Signs and repairs are expensive and maybe they were still recovering. The beds and floors were in good shape but the kitchen was discusting. Part of the reason I got the place was for the kitchen since we'd be there for the week. The next morning there were some shady characters hanging around the parking lot. I was going to ask about them but I had a family emergency and ended up needing to ask their refund policy instead because I had to leave. I was told by the front desk clerk that he'd talk to the manager in the morning so we stayed another night for an answer. I got a text that I was getting a refund minus the 2 days I stayed. When I went to check out the desk clerk said I was already checked out and to watch for a refund. I understand that they didn't have to do that but I still don't have it a month later. I have even responded to the number where the text came from. I tried adding photos but I can't with my network.

We were late checking in because we arrived by boat and booked the room last minute so we did not have to drive hours home to Tampa. The office was not open. I had to call and the owner came out barefoot yelling at me about being so late. I told him that he was paid for the room regardless of when we showed up. The headboard of room 202 was ripped off and pieces still stuck in the wall. That is where your head went. The shower fixture was coming apart but worked. The staff knocked on the door at 8:15 IN THE MORNING to ask if we were staying another night. Check out is 10 am and we didn't book another night. You wait until check out time to wake people up, especially if they got in LATE.

Probably the most dirty run down hotel I've ever stayed in.
Holes in the walls, ants everywhere, gross kitchen, filthy walls, filthy light switches.
We wouldn't even sleep on the bed, we slept in our clothes and got out of there first thing in the am.
The area is great, the hotel is a absolute dump.

Oyo waterfront hotel extremely disappointing
Broken Cabinets stove not working floors so dirty, dirty enough that you had to wash your feet and scoot a towel under them to the bed so you did not have black nasty feet in the bed. Looks absolutely nothing like the pictures very very dirts so sad it was our little weekend getaway waste of money

Worst stay in a long time (ever?)
Hotel was definitely not as pictured. It was dingy, run down, spartan room. Nasty, old kitchenette. Unfinished drywall repairs in the room. Outlets without covers, and some so loose they wouldn't hold a plug. I could not find a safe enough outlet to charge my phone; wiggling one would cause the light to flicker on and off. Half the lamps did not turn on. The towels were hand towel size and felt like they had been bleached every day since 1992, but still grey. The safety latch on the door's interior had been ripped off. The boardwalk along the canal was sloping about 10degrees toward the water and had on old jet ski partially on it. The Oyo sign was damaged and the rest of the signs on the building and in the parking lot said the name of another hotel, so I was confused about where to go. The owner who checked me in was not very hospitable and almost seemed annoyed that he had to deal with me.

Property was falsely advertised. Charged a $100 deposit that wasn't mentioned online. The room had a termite infestation in the kitchen, one barely working outlit, a bed that felt like it was going to fall apart, and extensive deterioration. The walls are paper thin and the cleaning staff come around early in the morning. On my last day before leaving, cleaning broke into my room at 8am while I was sleeping, noticed I woke up, and walked out, all while the door tag that says I want room cleaning wasn't up in the first place. Absolutely disgusting place.

OYO and Expedia both took advantage
Flight cancelled late had to find a place. Booked hotel at 10:45pm for that night and Expedia happily accepted my booking
When I got to the hotel at appx 11:45pm, motel was dark. No one in lobby
When the called the hotel I got a service that said there was no one at the property and that it was stated on the website
After 15 min I had the Uber driver take me to another hotel down the road.
Need some type of emergency service support.

the pictures you have on the add is what sold me, when i arrived to the room it was nothing like the pictures. floor looked grimy there was cigarette burn marks on the bathtub. there was unpainted patchwork on the walls.

Disappointed! Price not justify outdated rooms
This hotel was extremely disappointing due to the $200 a night fee/paid! The rooms look nothing like the picture as it was extremely old, outdated, room. Not able to tell if clean or not due to the outdatedness! My guess would be not clean. To top it off, there was a truck beeping loudly over and over at 5:30 AM and this was a work business trip. Sleep was important. This place would be fine if the pictures weren't so deceiving and the price matched the hotels lack of upgrade. $200 is way above and beyond what anyone should be paying for these rooms. On a better note, check-in personnel were friendly and very good!!!

This property is very clean and the staff was very nice. The exterior is still in shambles from the hurricane. It was a little scary when I pulled up, the sign is even on the ground. Pool umbrellas are shredded and still out, it looked like the hurricane just hit. The interior was very clean 1970’s appliances 😆 and the bed was comfortable. Just a little more lipstick and it will be perfect.

For $252 a night, I expected more from OYO. It was not as advertised. It was definitely not newly renovated. Marching ants on the night stand, no hot water in the sink, cracks in the sink, unpatched walls and rusty shelves in the refrigerator. It was survivable but not worth the $$

good location for a sketchy motel
It is really old motel. The room smelled very strong of ammonia to the point of nausea, it was clean though.
The local at the restaurant next door referred to it as the crack motel. That being said, there are two good restaurants with in a block of the motel.
The view from the back of the motel was beautiful.
The sign was blown down by the hurricane, so it is hard to tell if you're in the right place, of course that is not their faught.

I liked the spaciousness of the room and that it was connected to a small sitting area & pool. The flooring in the main room was nice along with the bedspread.
I didn’t like that the outside of the building did not look nice like it did in the picture, the deadbolt lock was missing (ripped off) of the door leading to outside which made me feel unsafe, the smoke alarm was just hanging by a wire, light fixture had corrosion & rust all over it as did the shelving in the mini fridge, broken blind in kitchen area, the bathtub finish

I get they just got hit by a hurricane, outside the property is functional still damages. But, the pictures on this sight is not the same as what you got.
There was rust on the appliances, dirty, tired place. Asked for another room, cleaner(no rust) but bed was terrible. Might be one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in my life.
Showed owner the picture they posted on site, he just put his head down, and didn’t say a word.
I couldn’t get refund cause I used Expedia. No refundable.

I refused to stay at the property as the room they offered was nothing like what was represented on Expedia. The hotel itself and room was under construction and dirty and the staff member agreed to cancel my reservation but has since refused to refund the payment. This property should not be offered the way it has been offered as it is clearly misrepresentation. The name OYO is also no where at the property which is being run under a different name.

The room was dirty; the internet wasn't working, and it smelled like cigarettes. Also, the housekeeper opens the door without knocking. Not a pleasant experience. The TV has inappropriate content. The picture of the room isn't accurate at all.

Run down hotel!
The room was a disaster. The cleaning of housekeeping was the only good thing. There is no marquee sign which made it very had to find the hotel. No phone in the room. Could not call the front desk for help. Door did not latch shut unless you pull it shut. BTW the washcloths and towels were terrible. They felt like sandpaper when trying to wash and dry yourself after showering. No guide for TV channels was provided either. The attached pictures will show how badly the room (105) was maintained. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe while staying there. We should get a credit for this stay. The attached pictures will give you details of the very poor condition of this room. We will never go to this hotel again’

There were no markings for the front desk. There were 2 buildings that look alike and I had to wonder around to find where to check in. Everything in the room was white and felt sterile. I saw 3 cockroaches in the kitchenette area of the room. Hotel was not busy, requested a 1 hour later check out time and was denied. Front desk person pointed at wall sign and said
, "Check out at 11!"

This property over-booked the hotel and price gauged people after Hurricane Ian. They tripled the rate within 24 hours and canceled people who booked at the original pre-storm price. I reported to the BB too. This is a horribly managed property and would absolutely never book here. Beware if you do, they will cancel your room if they find a booking for more money.

Your request is a huge joke! My mistake was not looking at any prior reviews. The only basis for my selection of the hotel room was the king room pic on Expedia website. I was in a major rush to schedule my travels. When I arrived to my room I was totally disappointed and completely shocked. The flaws were major. I issued a polite verbal grievance to the evening and morning management. The only attempts to resolve the same was the evening staff who successfully repaired the tv and provided air spray fresher to counter attack the extreme heavy smokers smell! The bedroom blind were broken with no privacy. There was absolutely NO mild warm or hot water for either the vanity or shower. The bed sheets were dirty and not tight, only very loose. Use your imagination. Only one lamp provided light exclusive of the kitchen light. At least two lights would not provide light. Checking the mattress there was evidence of cigarette burns. The hotel is OK, you receive for what you paid. The first room has a extreme smoking smell... I request a room change and the front desk were super nice, they change me rigth away. The other room was OK, have a small kitchen, and a balcony with view to the pool and "lake". Sometimes can be a little noisy since is in a principal avenue.

The staff tried to help, but no WiFi, like as a norm, they may not have WiFi. The room had no cable and there were bugs in the frig. People in the parking lot panhandling and asking for rides, dirty walls and floors. Pay the extra go elsewhere.

While I was thankful staff was available to check us in at 3am (flight was delayed) the room was horrible. Toilet ran constantly and wasn’t secured to the floor. Air conditioner leaked all over our stuff that was close to it. Patched holes in the walls that hadn’t been painted. Wall behind the bees looked like it use to have a different headboard that was ripped off the wall. Walls and door to the bathroom were dirty. The threshold between the bathroom and the room was missing and full of dirt. We checked out at 12:05 and was told we would still be charged for 2 days and it would take 5-7 days to get my money back. I didn’t expect the room to be perfect but this room was horrible.

This property was disgusting!! I walked in my room and it smelled terrible. Everything was so old and run down. I pulled the bedding back and the sheets had some black stuff on it!! I was on this property 10 min MAX….WALKED OUT OF MY ROOM AND CHECKED OUT!!! Then called YOU…and Expedia hung up on me twice. I deserve my money back…at least $100 of it!!! Non-smoking room smelled like someone smoked in it for 10 years. View of the water and pool area was very nice. Relatively clean, front desk manager very nice and personable. Would I stay again? I would, but it would not be my first choice.

First-time Review
Other than some trouble connecting to the WiFi (internet was down for the building, but it was being repaired), my wife and I had a very nice stay at this location.
Bed was a little squeaky, but we slept great! Pillows were comfortable, the tile floors were very clean. I wish the bath/shower for our room was a bit wider, as it made it difficult for myself (I'm overweight lol).
The gentleman at the counter was very polite, as was the woman handling my booking over the phone.
Honestly the best hotel I've visited in the area overall :)
