Very reasonable price for a motel room in the heart of Morro Bay. Walking distance to the wharf with many dining choices. The office was very tentative for resolving minor issues with the room (t.v. and heater). Will definitely come back.

Birthday getaway
My fourth time staying here. From this location we walked across the street for dinner at Dorn’s then walked the opposite way to The Siren for drinks and a show. . The next morning we walked to Carla’s Country Kitchen. This is the perfect spot to stay, it’s central and close to all the fun spots.

It was mentioned that remodeling took place less than a yea ago but my room had several issues. Nothing that made me miserable but should be addressed. Broken blinds, hot and cold water reversed, cracked toilet bowl… and there was quite a bit of hair that wasn’t mine in the shower area.

Staff was great and friendly. The location was great, but be mindful that it's on a noiser street (if your looking for a quiet place.)

This is a very nice place to stay at, everything is within walking distance, bed was amazingly comfortable, There’s lots of stuff to do , Cambria, to the North, Avila beach to the south , plus San Luis Obispo to the South, You can go fishing too

Our Favorite Motel
My husband and I have been staying at this motel for years, to the point the front office personnel know us when we walk in and always give us great service! This is our favorite little motel and we never stay anwhere else. Easy 1 block walk down to the Embarcadero and easy to walk the entire downtown area from the motel. We love it!

Spacious room and accessible bathroom (not ADA). Terrible carpet, ugly and worn. Room clean but painted gray without and pictures or decor on the walls. Very good lighting with plugs and connectors.

We’ve stayed in Morro Bay many times and tried many hotel/motel accommodations. Pacific Shores was close to the Embarcadero where the shops and restaurants are located. We had a nice view of Morro Rock from our room and we loved not having to use air conditioning at night. The room was spacious and super clean. The manager/desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The only reason I downgraded the property was due to housekeeping on the second day. No one serviced our room and my husband had to go down to get fresh towels. Front desk was apologetic and wanted to make sure our needs were met. Other than that the place was great. Morro Bay is a great place to stay and enjoy the beach without major crowds.

I just loved the town of Morro Bay and loved this hotel. it is so convenient to walking to the bay and restaurants. the room was modern, and the beds were extremely comfy. I would stay here any time I was visiting this area. The views from the hotel of Morro Rock were amazing.

I got this thru expedia. It was to be a three bedroom/ 4 room with kitchen. I saw pictures and called hotel in advance to be sure it was on the ground floor and review the layout. I wrote it down. When we got there they gave us a two room. Two queen bed in a living area that included a kitchen which did not have any pots or pans, utensils, serving/dinner plates, glasses. You couldn't cook anything in that room. It said air conditioned but I could not find an air conditioner in either room. When we told staff they gave us the wrong room they said since I could not do stairs they gave me a more expensive room. I remember seeing this room for the same price as the other and not choosing it. I was tired after the drive and didn't want to hassle with them. I will not choose to stay there again. The location is good though and it was mostly clean. Only one TV in the kitchen. Only one bathroom. People in other room had to walk through where I was sleeping to go to the bathroom. Nope. this was misrepresented to me. I don't feel the hotel staff was honest with me.

This is a very clean hotel, clean room, with comfortable beds, polite & helpful staff, free parking, great location, and noise is minimum. I booked the 3 bedroom family room and was happy overall. I had called ahead and found out the kitchen didn't come equipped with anything. I had to bring my pots & pans, dishes, etc. No problem. However, I though there would be a little table & chairs to sit to eat. There was none. There was also no closets, so you can't hang your dresses or jackets. There's only one dresser in the main room. Despite this, I would recommend staying at this place, just know what not to expect and bring along anything you think you will need, including dish drying rack as there's none.

I love that this hotel has large family rooms that can accommodate up to 6 people. It had 3 queen size beds and a full kitchen. The manager was extremely nice, and handmade cute souvenirs that you can purchase in the office. It was close to the bay and within walking distance. I would stay here again.

I would stay here again
We have stayed here twice back to back in June. Friendly staff, spacious room, comfortable bed, lots of outlets, has microwave and fridge, quiet AC with remote. Some bathrooms have a tub, our second visit had no tub but this was not a issue, felt more spacious. They are in the process of remodeling rooms. Nice sundeck to watch the sunset.
The only downside the toilet in room 205 was too close to the wall. And you can hear your neighbors walk above you but did not keep me up. We all slept well and I am a light sleeper. I would stay here again.

We always enjoy our stay at Pacific Shores Inn. It is our go to place. Friendly desk and comfortable renovated rooms. A perfect view of the Rock. Lots of parking. Close to the Embarcadero. Walking distance of wonderful restaurants.

Room had weird smell to it when we first walked in… almost like a strong cleaning chemical odor. Recommend bringing your own pillows since there’s only a few small ones in the room. Also hard to sleep when the walls are so thin and you can hear what your neighbors are saying and doing…. Otherwise, cleanliness was good and I loved the view from the room.

Easy check in and check out. Discovered Hotel was doing construction (remodeling) at site when got there. Big dumpster at the front of hotel and our next door room was being worked on. Everything in our room was new, so that was great. Pretty big room and great location to everything. One of the bed side lights didn't work and the toilet placement was weird. If you're sitting on the toilet your right leg is about an inch away from the wall. There is a nice size deck (with tables and chairs) on the 2nd floor with great view of the Rock.

Property is close to shops/restaurants. Room was freshly remodeled, and had a strong odor of paint, and a hint of smoke. I asked for a non-smoking room, not sure why it smelled strange.

NOISE STARTED AT 730AM AND ENDED AT 8PM
SO NOISE ALL DAY.NEVER TOLD US OF CONSTRUCTION. NO HOUSE KEEPING ON 2 OF 3 DAYS THERE.NO HANGERS OR ROD TO HANG CLOTHES.3 TOWELS TO LAST 3 DAYS.NO PHONE IN ROOM. NO TABLE OR CHAIRS IN ROOM. NO BLANKET OR BED SPREAD ON BED. PAID 100.00 A NIGHT FOR THIS TREATMENT WHEN WE TOLD OWNER SHE JUST SAID IM SORRY AND YOU CAN COME TO OFFICE ANYTIME TO PICK UP TOWELS...WE HAVE STAYED HERE 4 TIMES AND LOVED IT NOW WE WILL NEVER EVER STAY AGAIN IF THEY HAD NO RATING FOR BEING SO TERROBLE I WOULD HAVE RATED IT BUT IT WAS TERRIBLE DO NOT STAY THERE....

Rooms was large, and clean, it worked for our families. Rooms are not sound proof so you hear neighbors to the side and top of you. Im sure people on the first floor heard us too. My complaint is the fact that they are remodeling rooms and have bathtubs, sinks, etc all along the outside hallways. Some stored in the outside patio area. Because of this there was limited parking. I booked 3 rooms but if I had known this...i would not have stayed here, We would have gone somewhere else for our families mini vacation. Because of construction, i give this place a 4 of of 10.

We got two motel type rooms instead of family suite that booked and paid for, but otherwise it was clean, spacious and could see the ocean a bit. The other drawback is the walls are paper thin and can hear neighbors talking till midnight but that's typical

We arrived in CA with the approach of another atmospheric storm. We called the motel on 3/14 to state that because of the rain/storm we wouldn't be staying there that night and requested them to keep our room available due to the heavy rain,etc. She was so very kind and said not to worry, we wouldn't be charged for that night, but would keep the room available for us. The room was wonderful! Clean, neat, and with a great view of Morro Rock. I recommend this Inn to everyone!

I loved the location of this place and the staff was really friendly. Great view of Morro bay rock in upper level rooms. Rug in great shape, blinds not so much. Takes 7 minutes before heat comes on. They are upgrading some rooms as well but it was pretty quiet on a Tues/wed night. Would of been great if they had a toaster. :)

Nice & clean basic room on the top floor, with some view of the Morro Rock; bathroom had a real opening window, which is a huge plus (especially after heavy use of disinfectant by the housekeeping staff). Checking in was a breeze, very friendly receptionist. No breakfast (but coffeemaker in the room). The area is filled with accommodation options, and a few dining places, all in walking distance. excellent location for staying at Morro Rock.

Had a very pleasant night at Pacific Shores Inn. Ocean view, walking distance to everything, amazing views of the rock, easy parking. The room was larger than I expected and it was very clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. My only complaint was that the dispensers with the amenities (soap, lotion, shampoo, body wash) were all empty, and the shower curtain was not great at keeping water from leaking out of the shower onto the floor. Other than that it was a great stay.

Check in was fast. Host was friendly and to the point. Nice view of Morro Rock. Good A/C unit. Property is on the older side but clean. Many places don't age this well. We'll check on this one the next time we stay in Morro.

3rd floor room had a great view of Morro Rock and the ocean. The room was spacious and newly remodeled. We could walk to restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops. While walking along the embarcadero we were able to watch sea otters playing.

Do Not Stay Here!
Arriving to check in we waited about 15 minutes in the office ringing the bell with nobody showing up. Finally the lady saw us from the rooms she was cleaning. Said to come back later. Came. Came back later and had to wait another 5-10 minutes!
The air conditioner was hard to get working. Tried opening the windows to get ventilation but someone behind our room owned a bird that made loud annoying noises! Tried to call on the phone which was not working so used our cell phone. Finally got the air working but it barely worked! The steps we had to climb to get to our room were cracked and looked dangerous! I’m surprised we didn’t break them and fall.
Checking out the lady was not in the office again; she was doing laundry. We had to drop our keys in a basket so there eas nobody to tell our issues to!!! We will not ever book there again!!!
