Nice room but boiling hot
The room was nice and spacious however, the room was boiling hot. We had to call guest services to inform us that closing the fan will end up cooling the room. Something that is not the usual norm. Moreover, there was construction in the morning. Something that may be out of your control but has an impact on our experience

It was a great stay overall. Only issue we had was we originally got put in a room that was already occupied. Luckily I realized the second I opened the door and quickly closed the door. They accidentally gave wrong room number, but quickly corrected it. They held our bags when we got there and the day we left so we didn’t have to lug them around while we walked around. Great stay overall!

Cassie at the front desk was wonderful, and we received an upgrade, to our surprise due to availability that evening. Our suite was impeccable, service at the breakfast buffet and checkout superb as well. Will be back!!

Arrived early and asked for bags to stored until check-in AND was given complimentary early check-in! Room was clean, bed comfortable, housekeeping provided fresh towels daily. Hot water kettle provided upon request. Great location. ONLY complaint was room was too hot for me. Would stay here again!

Last time I came to New York City I had an unpleasant experience with another hotel. So going into this one I was already on the defense, BUT immediately the staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to provide comfort and answer any questions I had. The room itself was wonderful, I especially enjoyed the blackout curtain. When it came time to check out the staff continued being very friendly which honestly may not seem like much but it did for me. I will for sure be coming back to this hotel the next time I’m back in New York City.

Room is large and have a long kitchen counter-like island.
Shower and bathtub are separate and in the same spacious room and the door is clear glass….. I liked the bathtab which is deep and large, therefore I wish there were bar to hold on to get in/out of the bathtub.
It seems like the lowest room temperature is set to appx 70-74 which is a little too warm for my taste.
Bed is firm and comfortable.
Location is nice and convenient.

staff and service were excellent. i arrived early and they were able to give me early check in. the room had a little damage to the floor boards and some other areas but nothing major. we found some hair in the shower and white stains on the window seat cushion but bed was clean and comfortable. our biggest complaint was the heating/air. there is a thermostat in the room but it didn't work. when i called down to the front desk they sent up a service person, he informed us that because of the building age it either had heating or air and currently was on heat. he then showed us how to open the window which was helpful to cool the room down but then increased the noise level because it's new york.

We stayed for 1 night. We had booked two but opted out of a second night. We had a damage issue in the room. We were immediately changed to another room and apologized to. We decided to leave anyway despite the hotel managers best efforts. We knew we were losing our room cost by leaving but we decided to anyway. Here is where I gave the manager full credit. She contacted Expedia and without my influence gave us our money back for the second night. A really good management decision and I rarely see it these days so I really appreciated it and for that reason I will return to the hotel and i recommend the hotel too.

Stay was great. The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly. The only issue we had which was minor, we only had two bath towels in the room and the shower leaked which was causing the laminate floor to buckle and separate. More towels would have been ideal as we were 3 and needed to use one to mop up the very large shower

Room temp was difficult to control and bedding was not the most comfortable. Pillows were not fluffy at all and mattress was too low to the ground and not very comfortable. The hotel was clean, roomy and the bar/restaurant service was good. Housekeeping did a great job.

This property was very nice. Clean hotel and looks like our room may have been recently renovated with a very good sized room for NYC. The staff was very good both on the desk and in the restaurant. This hotel was about 10 mins walk from the seaport area and the WTC and there is a Duane Reade just across the street for any last minute needs. There was no parking valet that we found. However there are at least 2 parking places for overnight parking either next store or around the block. You will have to walk with your own bags. We had our dog with us so that was a little tricky. As is true in NYC it was a little loud with sirens and garbage trucks clanking through the night. Not the worst we’ve heard though.

Found the hotel to be extremely clean, friendly staff, convenient location to subway. The only negative is the construction going on right outside on the street so there is some extra noise due to that, but that’s no fault of the hotel. Would definitely stay again!

A solid place with large rooms for a quick work trip. Not the most comfortable sleep though. The beds are hard and pillows very flat. I wish chains like Hyatt would spend the money on decent, comfortable bedding given the prices they are charging!

Great location and near to all the areas I wanted to visit like, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridget, Staten Island, Governors Island - all walking distance to the ports and the respective bridges. Coupled with that there are lots of restaurants and retail shops around and nearby. I felt safe and was able to go for walks at night. The breakfast guys were great including the cleaners, especially the lady who was assigned to my room - 1701.

The air condition has access in the room but it doesnt let you control it. No matter how low we put it the air never changed, we had to call twice for them to come and "fix" it and it was just them basically allowing it to get colder in the room. The room was sweltering when we arrived compared to hallways. The refrigerator did not work in the room, the air conditioner was one vent for the all of the room and it was so noisy at night while you were trying to sleep. The beds very firm, as in a solid surface with thin mattress type firm. The beds were full instead of queens, basic tv, no room service, ok food in the restaurant but the buffet was not worth the price. There was construction going on in front of hotel the whole stay which made it difficult to get in and out of the hotel as you got dropped off in the middle of the street. Overall it was a nice hotel by looks but the quality of the rooms and so many things that didn't work properly made it a poor experience.

Hyatt Centrix Wall St is a beautiful hotel inside and out. All of the staff were very professional and always helpful.
We had a 7 day stay coming from California.
They held on to our bags on arrival and on departure which was helpful so that we could start exploring on arrival for our first visit.
Breakfast for two came with our booking through Expedia. Plentiful breakfast buffet/menu.
No issues.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

When we arrived, the concierge was not there and we had to wait to be checked in. Very annoying. Huge elevator issue. If you are going up and down in peak hours, it could be a waiting problem and elevator stops on many floors. Looked like only 1elevator was working.

This property is absolutely amazing. We booked the deluxe room and the room was HUGE for a NYC hotel. I was so surprised. Everything was modern and gorgeous. The bathroom was to die for. Huge walk in shower with a separate tub. The appropriate setting for a date night. My husband and I will definitely be back.

There is a receptionist a lady who was extremely rude towards my parents. She had this unnecessary attitude when my parents were trying to ask something, not even the basic decency to try to listen to what they had to ask. Extremely unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone just based on this incident alone because it was such an unpleasant experience.

The rooms were nice but the hallways were dirty and worn. What was worse is: 1). You have to request that your room be cleaned, otherwise no service. 2). Television was broken in my room, so I had to move rooms. 3) Remote didn't work in second room. 4). Coffee makers are only available upon request and then they sent me one that was broken and only worked 2 out of 4 days. I requested a new one, but they never sent up a new one. 5). AC did not work correctly. It was at least 8-10 degrees warmer in my room than what the thermostat showed on my last day. 6). Woke up my last day to water dripping out of my bathroom ceiling
There is also no doorman or bellman, so if you need help with your bags you have to ask the front desk. I won't stay here again.

I appreciate the staff! We drove 5 hours to attend a convention and needed to get ready quickly! Our room was being cleaned and we inquired about early check in and the manager contacted Housekeeping and arranged entry within 20 mins. AWESOME!!! Thank you again!

Beautiful ambiance, nice staff. Carpet need to be updated as it had a smell and looked dirty. Bed was low but comfortable. Flooring near door in room was making sticky sound as if floor was not laid properly. Nice bathroom. Shower was poorly made as water would make its way to floor with door shut. A lot of soap scum in shower and door of bathroom. Need extra cleaning. Great location to transit, restaurants, stores. Overall it was okay.

Overall, the attitude of the staff was not friendly and the cleanliness of the room was not very good compared to the cost to be paid. The shower facility was very uncomfortable, and water flowed into the bathroom to the extent that you had to put a towel on the floor, especially when you were taking a shower.
