Terrible place! I advised them after the first night that the TV remote control and coffee maker was not working. They told me they would send someone up right away to fix it while I was gone. Come back after long day BOTH not working still.

Staff is rude and has no knowledge of what good customer service is. Booked this hotel and because of weather conditions was unable to travel, trying contacting them for accommodation or a refund and the "manager" I spoke to would not let me talk at all, was rude, and had no empathy to the fact that it was a situation our of our control. We clearly can not control the weather. Our technician showed up there today and they completely discriminated against him, turned him away and said they were completely full, but when I called and spoke to her she advised that they had availability and he would need to rebook at the front desk. It unfortunate because we book lots of hotels throughout the year for our business and they have now lost what could have been a loyal customer. I hope they do better with their staffing moving forward

Invest in some soundproofing! otherwise fine
Room was spacious! Bed was very comfortable.
I just needed somewhere to sleep during a flight cancellation due to weather and this worked fine.
The hotel has been recently updated but the updates weren't very high quality -- the flooring is a very light laminate that made a pretty loud clicking sound when you walked on it.
LOTS of hallway noise. It's near the airport, I don't mind the sound of airplanes, but someone was being so loud in the hallway around 10:30pm that I was tempted to peek outside the door.
Then doors slamming shut at all hours, again I assume because people were departing for early flights.
If they invested in some sound mitigation, it would have been a totally different stay. Instead, I was awoken on and off the whole night.

This Holiday Inn is perfectly located to the Phoenix airport, has a nice big easy to access parking lot and is close enough to ASU and downtown Tempe to be an easy drive or Uber ride away. A recent remodel has really freshened up the property, with an airy lobby and onsite bar/restaurant. My room was tastefully decorated and impeccably clean.
However, there was one glaring flaw in the remodel, which was the doors to every room were the most awful and inappropriate architectural items I have ever seen in a modern hotel! I noticed as soon as I stepped off the elevator on the third floor there was an absolute cacophony, as if every person was partying outside their rooms in the hallway! I seriously wondered if I had wandered into a huge tailgate party where all the participants had their doors open, but every door was closed with no one to be seen.
I quickly realized the doors were made out of some kind of tongue and groove wood which did absolutely nothing to seal against sound, and so poorly fitted in their doorframes that light was visible all around the door! Whoever spec'd these doors for the hotel obviously did so for their trendy look and completely ignored their sound transmission.
I coped by turning on my fan to high and putting a pillow over my head, but these doors clearly are a mistake and need to be replaced!
The restaurant was also very pricey so I ended up in Tempe for all my meals. No free breakfast here!

Shuttle to and from the airport was free and efficient. They had onsite dining which was good. There was nothing around within walking distance which was inconvenient. The hot tub was broken which was disappointing but the pool was heated and nice. Great service and friendly staff.

I’ve stayed at this property twice in the past month and they actually just completed a total renovation. The lobby and rooms are very nice and look nothing like the pictures on Expedia or even on Holiday Inn’s website. I love the convenient location and that they don’t charge for parking. Both times at check in the same gentleman assisted who was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed including offering to arrange any transportation. I absolutely will stay here again.

Environmental toxins
I have medical allergies to the chemicals on carpet, furniture and paint. The hotel is being completely remodeled.
I was moved out of my original room with new carpet and furniture..perhaps paint too into a room that was full of air freshener smell while the hallways were new carpet and paint off gassing.

We've stayed here 2 times in the last month. We love this hotel. Checking in, the line was out the door. The girl running the counter did the best she could, and I have no complaints against her. She even upgraded us to a King suite, due to being sold out of regular king beds. Nice room. However, when we got to the room, it was very dirty. The floors had not been cleaned, and food was spilled down the front of the refrigerator. The bed was clean, which I was thankful for.

Travelers beware! There is another Holiday Inn with almost identical name near Phoenix airport — we were the third guests in a single evening to make the mistake.

The hotel was nice overall but beds and pillows really need to be replaced. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows flat. The room was nice and employees friendly. For $200 a night I expected better.

Not satisfied with holiday inn
We made reservations in advance and paid in advance.
We are not satisfied with accommodation as one of the bed in the room was broken and the mattress was lumpy . For a holiday inn I expected better accommodations. Also the floor we stayed on was under renovation. I smelled the paint from the elevator .
If the floor is under renovation the clerk could have put is on another floor or away from the smell .
I mention to the manager assuming he was going to transfer us to another room and floor
Overall I’m not satisfied with the hotel and the service . I’ll avoid holiday inn/express .

Not a good stay
Shuttle pickup from the Airport was non-existing. We were told 20-30 minute wait time. After 45 min. We called the hotel and they could not contact the shuttle driver and not offer an alternative transport to the hotel. Also, when we finally did check in and in our room, the checkin desk person then assigned our room to someone else, who actually walked into our room before realizing we were there. Our room key was no longer valid. Won't stay there again.

This is a nice hotel, with very nice reception persons. The only issues we had with this hotel, is that the construction in the location began very early, with back-up bells going off at 4:30am. Not the hotel's fault. But, it was obvious that a construction worker had stayed in the room that we were given, because there were oil stains on the floor and in the shower. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

Not what I expected
The hotel was nice, good location and reasonably priced, desk clerk was friendly, the room was good mini fridge and microwave. A few things that I didn’t like the bed was super hard, the AC was noisy, You can hear the traffic from the freeway, and no bottled water for the coffee maker. I didn’t get to try the breakfast woke up to late from tossing and turning in the uncomfortable bed all night.

No sleep in Phoenix
The mix up on the free shuttle was beyond annoying after 3 calls and over an hour wait at airport we finally nailed down the name on the bus which was Not the name of our hotel. The noise level for the entire night was so loud and non stop that we got NO sleep. We understand the management talked with the annoying loud group at 2;00am but by 4:40 am another loud group came home and partied in the hallway.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is close to the airport and has a courtesy shuttle. They charged too much for a limited buffet breakfast, and only one wait staff person was managing the dining room so service was slow. But overall the hotel was a good value for the amount paid.

This is a great property. Good central location, so quiet to be so close to the airport. They are upgrading floors or rooms but it’s not interferes with my experience. A clean, friendly staff, fitness center, bar/restaurant. I’ve enjoyed multiple stays here and will continue to do so.

We were not expecting much for a hotel by the airport, and wow were we nnocked out by how much we were wrong. From the minute we checked in to the minute we were dropped off at the airport by the shuttle, the customer service was amazing. We were given excellent advice by Paul? when we checked in to take our rental car back the night before our flight and that was the best thing we could have done for an easy early morning flight out, and not having to lug our suitcases on the train back to the airport. The rooms were spacioius, clean and well equipped, the lobby area was welcoming and every one was amazingly helpful and professional. Would recommend this hotel to anyone needing, not just a place to stay by the airport, but a place to stay period. Job super well done!

We have stayed at this place 3 times and in 10 months we saw no progress with their construction. The construction signs looked worn out. I am surprised to see business meetings and weddings being held there.

Probably one of the worst properties we stayed at recently. Not clean at all, bathroom was filthy. We only stayed 1 night and checked in little later in the evening. Didn’t wanted to go through the hassle of changing rooms.

Have to say Staff was great at the property. However the room we were in had Stains, Dirt, Stickiness in the carpet. Bathroom had had holes from holders not patched. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Dinner we had issue with kids eat free with an adult order. It was prompted on the website, table toppers, signs, kids menu. But they stated they were not participating in that. They honored it but had to get approval.

The room was comfy and the beds were clean. The lobby was also very clean. To go from the 2nd floor to the lobby, the elevator had to be summoned from the front desk. Either that or we had to take the stairs. Several baseboards were missing or damaged along the hallways and there was a lot of dirt around the cracks. The tub in our room was stained and there was hair in it when we got there, which I had to rinse off. There was limited parking on the premises and we had to park on the dirt lot next to the hotel. I parked between 2 vehicles in the parking lot one night and the shuttle driver came up to me and told me I had to straighten myself out so someone next to me can get to their vehicle. The vehicle in question was parked with the front tire touching the line and crooked. I ended up just leaving and parking across the lot in an empty spot because half the cars were parked crooked in that area of the lot, but what ever. The all you can eat breakfast was a little too expensive for what I can get for free at other hotels so we opted out. Also the AC unit was old and broken. It was very dirty and could be seen because the panels were broken off.

Great for the airport
It's a very comfortable room. It's clean, quiet and I felt safe. I love the walk-in shower. There's a fitness center and an outdoor pool. I really appreciated Antony and the airport shuttle because it allowed me to return the rental car early. The breakfast buffet was hot, plentiful and delicious. Yes, I would stay here again.

The price, the staff, the room, and the dining were great. What detracted from my stay in Room 428 was being woken up at 1:30am on May 21 by my noisy vibrating of my room. At first, i thought the mini fridge was going to explode, then I checked outside. There was road construction just out the property, below my room. Every time the large road roller drove by, the room vibrated. Until 3:15am. As I was getting up at 5am, it wasn't worth the effort to change rooms. I cannot be the only guest to have been awakened. Definitely recommend NOT assigning the rooms at that end while road construction continues at night.

When we got there they overbooked and put our family of 6 in a room that accommodates 4, even though we booked a double queen suite months in advance. They put us in another room that had a pullout bed that didn’t work and had to get us in another room that we stayed in for the night. That room was very dusty and the carpets were very dirty. We got moved to our final room the next morning. We booked our transportation to the airport the day before our flight and they overbooked that as well. Our flight was at 9:26 and they wanted to put us on the shuttle after 8am. We were able to get a shuttle ride at 7:10, but whoever is doing these bookings needs to pay attention. Other than that, we enjoyed and appreciated the breakfast buffet and their very friendly staff every morning. The 4th room we ended up in was much cleaner and updated. Overall, if we ever visit Arizona again I will be looking for a different hotel for my family and I to stay at.
