I like the fact the staff aimed to please. The lobby was comfortable. Felt safe. What i didnot like the view to my room felt like PRISON it was overlooking the roof .housekeeping not paying attention to details such as vacuuming. Hotel itself should pay attention to renovations due to price we paid.

Expensive internet, when will they realise that internet is a utility like water and electricity and stop ripping people off for it

First time staying at this Ritz & it was great . As soon as I checked in they upgraded my room . As soon as I get off the elevator the Guard for the Brooklyn lets started to talk to me . I went to the main Lobby & the whole Toronto Raptors team was at the check in desk. Super cool experiences

Great location, right across from Boston Common park. Walkable to everything. Our check in was botched due to a large group getting priority with late check out and another with check in. When we got into our room it was the wrong room (paid for park view). Eventually everything worked out (thanks Adam!) but it made for a less than luxury experience with the mishandling of our check in and room shuffling. Expected more to be honest.

This is a decent hotel. They have hospitable housekeeping who look out for your needs & do a great job. The area is ok. Not the best part/cleanest part of town but it is centralized if you're walking to different tourist attractions. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed a few restaurants in the area.

We had just stayed at the Ritz Carlton Montreal, and our experience differed. I expected the same level of service from Boston, and it just was nowhere near Montreal's exceptional service. Paying for WiFi at this level of a hotel is unheard of.

Great location across from Boston Common. Very walkable to all historic sites or small Uber/taxi fare. Great coffee shops nearby too. Only downside is not really family oriented— athletic club/pool for adults only..

I was stuck at the airport and could not use the hotel due to multiple flight cancellations I contacted and tried to cancel within an hour but Expedia wouldn’t let me.
They said call the ritz so I called them. The ritz said call Expedia so we went back and forth - they stole my 601$ and won’t refund the amount
Knowing I didn’t stay there. Do not use Expedia or thr ritz- they are terrible.

Nice room, great location, maids were excellent! Lobby staff and concierge mediocre. No amenities, no pool, nothing in the room really not even a way to make a cup of coffee in the room, I thought that was basic these days.

This property is really run down and shabby it needs a total renovation. it is extremely expensive for what it is. it looks like the last renovation or redo of the rooms was circa 1980. the mattress was lumpy and old. the pillows were foam filled or as hard as rocks. the bedding seemed really old and very cheap quality.
the toiletries in bath were cheap and tiny. the soaps the size of a quarter.
wow, this place was a big disappointment more Holiday Inn than the RITZ brand.
the lobby looks like a town office in Idaho, not a luxury hotel.

The bellhops were so helpful and nice. Easy walking to everything nearby. Large, very clean rooms- loved the bathtub too! The restaurant on site was delicious too. We had a wonderful stay!

Everyone was very friendly, and helpful. The desk clerk let our son help code the keys, which absolutely delighted him. Our room overlooked the park, which was lovely during the day.

No snacks in the room. No stocked mini fridge. No automatic control for the blinds. No dimmer on the light switches. 2 room service orders with mistakes. Cleaning people knocking on the door every five minutes to ask if they can clean well before noon.

The worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. I checked in and my room was dirty! Take out bags, dirty glassware, dirty toilets! I talked to concierge and they gave me a new room. I walked into that one and it smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. I would have been better off at a Motel 8.

Unremarkable; more Marriott than ritz. There was a very bad odour (bo) in the suite washroom which I asked from desk to try cleaning after the first day which they never did. Front desk staff generally very cold. It was ok.

It was nothing great. The Godfrey nearby is just as good even better. The Godfrey can give me two Queen size beds at lesser price. This Ritz is just an ok hotel, nothing special, nothing fantastic. I will not stay here again for that rate. Staff are not friendly and are stiff. Robotic.

Concierge sent me info and contact number that was incorrect. It was a boilerplate email generated and the concierge was mostly u reachable throughout the stay and did not return calls. Housekeeping was inconsistent and left vacuum and never refilled items. Service took 40 minutes to get anything.

Love the service and the consistency of it at the Ritz. Staff was friendly and helpful from the time we walked in. This was the smallest Ritz I’ve ever stayed at but still nice. Only thing was the pool was for 18 and up so the kids were disappointed. We didn’t eat in the hotel as breakfast would run about $150. Lol

The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. We were greeted and immediately offered waters (either room temperature or chilled). I brought my two girls with me, ages 3 and 7, and they were presented with a toy cart where they could choose a toy to keep. Finally they organized a scavenger hunt where at the end the girls were given a prize. The property is beautiful and the again I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff.

Every staff member I encountered went out of their way to be friendly and offer assistance. I made particular use of the club lounge to get some work done in my down time. It was wonderfully stocked, clean and had more than I could have possibly needed. Will definitely be returning next time I am in the area.

Love the Boston Ritz!
The Boston Ritz is beautiful and a perfect place to call home on a long business trip. Very classically Ritz - this location is a treasure that stands out amongst all of their properties. The service was impeccable and was able to have a few items sent up and ready before my arrival. I’ll be back!

Underwhelming for a Ritz-Carlton and the price we were paying to stay per night. Wifi was not included and the overall property was just average in comparison to other Ritz-Carlton's we've stayed in. Staff was very nice and helpful though.

The hotel was on strike, we should have been told this before so we could have changed hotels. No room service, Picketing all day and difficult to get into and out if the hotel. Housekeeping never came to our room we had to call to get it cleaned.

We had a weekend getaway in Boston and decided to stay at the Rita-Carlton. Upon check in, the staff offered to assist with anything needed, including walking to the elevator. The service was above and beyond. If you are looking for a getaway where you will be spoiled and pampered, this is the place to go.

Really nice hotel, the staff was extremely helpful with recommendations to accommodating any requests I had. Room service was great as well, the quality of meal I was able to get at almost 2am was nice. The attached restaurant bar had some great drinks as well plus really good service.

Not a family friendly hotel
Room updates are much needed and well done. The hotel has zero amenities at all for families, there aren't even movie options to rent on the TV (you can sign into your Netflix account). My husband tried to get a drink/and kids hot chocolate in the lobby at 4PM and was told the bar isn't open and there is not other option in the hotel. Kids can't use swimming pool (no children under 18 allowed in club). Confirmed 2 times at check-in an early turn down service (6PM) to make up the pullout couch for kids, despite this it was not complete until 2 hours after the requested time and several phone calls later. Finally fire alarm went off from 2-4:30AM, due to "faulty" alarm and staff did nothing to communicate with guests. In unfortunate events of today a constant alarm going off should warrant hotel staff to be available on each floor guiding guests and answering concerned questions. Instead when we called the front desk we were given attitude and little explanation of what was going on. The did offer some deductions to incidentals on the bill.

Lovely hotel, nice breakfast
Only disappointment was trying to get a massage and facial. Couldn't reach spa. Walked there to find no one at desk in mid afternoon. Sign noted they were with a client. So where was the receptionist? went to Libby desk to inquire. Bottom line is this touted spa really didn't have much staff and couldn't spontaneously accommodate guests which seems a real miss for this level hotel.

Our hotel was a wonderful oasis when we came in late due to flight problems and when we were tired from walking about Boston. The bed was comfortable and the shower was delightful. I was easily able to get some writing done while my wife slept. The Ritz Carlton helped make our trip to Boston a delightful experience.

Good, but does not live up to the supposed standar
Room very clean, but on hot days of August we get a comforter.
Bathroom good, only one sink and the shower with a single handle results in a first dose of cold water when using it
Staff very friendly but one Concierge did make reservations for us without giving us the exact address of the restaurant
Lobby and common areas are small, we understand it is not a full Ritz Carlton bur a "Residences"
All of that we can live with, but being asked to pay for in-room WiFi on a hotel of that level is completely unacceptable; while it is true that, after complaining over the phone I was told that "being a preferred Starworld Rewards member I would get it free" I think that is not the way and no hotel of that level should ever charge for a high speed WiFi connection. We had arrived from a rural environment where we stayed on a simple motel (the only choice available) at one third of the rate with complimentary WiFi

Wow...first time staying at the Ritz Carlton in Boston. Friendly staff that make you feel special from the time you walk in the door. I arrived at 3 am in the morning due to flight delays and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome, and that the staff had left me a card and a gift in my room.

Best Customer Service in Boston, by far
Was a great experience from the moment we arrived on Valentine's Day. Check-in was quick, and my girlfriend received a long-stem rose as part of the v-day raffle they held. From there the concierge assisted us in finding dinner reservations; we had little hope we'd get a table anywhere before 10pm when requesting on same day, more like late afternoon on Valentine's Day. I don't think we would've guessed this if you had asked us what our perfect dinner scenario might look like if time were no factor. She got us a table at Bricco in the North End, we had no wait and a window seat. She came though for us, and i still can't thank her enough. The staff in club access was also amazing that evening and the next morning. It's clear why the Ritz is one of the best hotels in the ciry, with customer service this good its worth the few extra coming.
