The Property is no longer owned by OYO Hotels and no one notified Me I found out when I arrived at the property to check in to the Hotel! My reservation was cancelled the Hotel sold to Summerville Inn and no courtesy text, call or email to inform me about this cancellation or Sale of the hotel.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! The OYÓ hotel no longer exists as of July 2023 and in its place is a Sumter Palmetto Inn which is awful and not even close to what the pictures look like. Expedia confirmed directly with the property that is under new management and I was relocated elsewhere.

Do not book here will loose your $ they won’t refu
When you look at the room, they tell you that they will give you a real phone because they know the rooms are not up to standard. Once you leave the property, they will not refund anything. It’s a scam The worst, we lost our booking no refund when we refuse to check I. To a dirty full or roaches rooms. They sign a paper saying they would do a refund and never did. The condition of the rooms was really unspeakable! The worst we had ever seen! We lost our money. No refund for an untada le rooms

I’m very disappointed, the picture on the browser has nothing to do with reality, the place does not feel secure the room was filthy, towels were dirty, curtains are in really bad shape.I have photos to proof that it was nothing compared to what it looks like on the ad.
I would definitely not stay at any OYÓ hotel. I have pictures of the interior of the room and will be happy to share if this will help improve Expedia’s list of hotels and actual look of their rooms

I have stayed at OYO many times before and I was satisfied with everything. I know you get what you pay for and I’m not the picky type but this time was freaking HORRIBLE. I woke up at 4 in the morning to use the bathroom and roaches was coming from every angle in the room. Luckily I put all my bags in my car after my shower because if I didn’t I would’ve been bringing them home with me. Very Disappointed

Disgusting - do not stay here
This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been at. I didn’t end of staying and got charged for my reservation even though he told me he would refund me. None of the rooms were clean. It smelled. There was construction going on after 9 pm. There was furniture all over the sidewalks and hallways. Mattresses chairs dressers. It was the most astonishing site and did not feel safe there. I requested a refund and no questions were asked. This place should not be allowed to have guests. It is not safe or even complete as a hotel.

Nothing to like, dirty old buildings, front desk was like checking into a prison and when we got to our room, there was someone in it. We found another hotel to stay in that felt safe and was clean. Awful hotel, i cant believe it was even on your list. What can we do to get our money back, very dissappointed!

Terrible customer service. Not apparent that check in is not available until after midnight. Non refundable bookings through Hotels dot com
The only actual phone # that you can find is a "Reservations Only" line that I waited over 20 minutes to get through on to have them hang up on me when I tried to get to a CS representative to assist me
Do NOT book with this chain, and its enabler Hotels dot com
Im letting the conpany I work for and the over 1000 transporters know and I am advocating boycotting this lame business model and the service where their BS hotels books through
I am also contacting every other service that I see OYO listed on and let them know of my experience
Theres a real reason why they are rated so low and Im piling on with 0 stars to add

My stay at this hotel was not more than three hiyrs even though i had booked in advance to sray the whole weekend. Reason is that it was unclean , unsafe, no privacy, very noisy.
Its not a place for anyone who loves peace.

Room was in terrible condition, towels were stained, dead bugs on the floor, TV did not work, toilet seat was broken OFF. Stains on the comforter, pillow cases were stained. The atmosphere outside the hotel was filthy and unsafe.

When I arrived they said, they cancelled my booking for no reason. Then I had to pay to stay for a night, as I drove from NJ to SC. On top of that the room was far from clean, smelled like weed. The bathroom was disgusting and not clean or hygienic to use. There where bugs and roaches all over. I just wanted to leave immediately. The only reason I stayed was because I was so tired as I drove 11 hours that day, otherwise would have canceled and left the place.

worst place we stay for 1 night. soon as we walk in the room it smell, mosquitoes, see a cockroach in the bathroom, too many garbage outside the property and so on. we are ready to leave soon as we see everything, but im too exhausted from a 15 hours drive. so we stay for few hrs and left first thing in the morning.

This place was the most disgusting place I seen in SC. The lobby stunk so bad of cat urine I couldn't breath. The guy working the counter was so rude. I ended up counting my losses on this room $52 just to turn around and wàlk out and drove 11 hours home.. DO NOT BOOK HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY!

This hotel suck
The rooms were dirty, the bedding had cigarettes holes in them, towels looked dirty and stained, no trash can , no hot water, floors dirty, no phones, refrigerator was disgusting, one bed broken and sitting on floor. Fixtures layjng on cabinets. Over priced. Very seedy place. But there was electricity. Perfect for a sex worker

One word no!
No.. no. A literal roach met on the radiator when I opened the door. No wash clothes on the room. It looked like an alley in the back of the building with the outside of the radiators/ heaters hanging off. It is obviously under renovations but it was so bad the obvious drug dealer was in front of the police but they were watching me like I was suspicious in my obvious work uniform.

I travel for work, and I have stayed at dozens of cheap motels. My standards are low. This is by far the worst one I've ever stayed at. Everything was dirty. The shower floor, shower curtain, bathroom floor, bathroom counter all had stains and debris that could have easily been washed away. The bedroom floor was too dusty to walk barefoot on, and the bed smelled weird. The toilet wouldn't flush, and the cold/hot water was mislabeled in the shower. I also noticed a poorly patched hole in the ceiling. Despite motels getting a bad reputation in general, I've never stayed at a motel so blatantly unkempt. The cherry on top was that two men nearly got in a fistfight outside my window at 6 AM. Overpriced trash.

Nasty and Unacceptable
This is the worst hotel room I have ever rented in my life. there were blood stains, fecal stains, burn holes, and filth all over the room. In one of the rooms, there was a mouse. I can't believe that OYO Hotels would rent a room in this level of disgusting conditions. In one of our rooms, there was an advertisement for prostitution. Definitely not good for a family atmosphere. All of this needs to be addressed.

Disgusting! Filthy! Don’t stay here ever!
Don’t stay here at any cost! Horrible, deplorable conditions! This place should not be listed on hotels.con as an option. They should call this COVID hotel - how can you not catch COVID when it’s so unsanitary! My room was filled with dirt, pubic hairs, hair balls, and muddy footprints. The shower and sink were filled with filth. The curtain hardly could move to close, and the fridge had dried up liquids in it. Shown two other rooms just as dirty! The manager never apologized that they were not clean, didn’t offer to clean them, and refused a refund. I left because I started to wretch just staying in the room. The paint on the outside of the building is chipping badly. There’s random broken objects in the hallways. The front desk area is dirty and looks like a hurricane hit it with boxes in all different directions. They didn’t even ask for my driver’s license when I checked in...super sketchy! It’s in an unsafe area, and people were hanging out in the middle of the parking lot...why? Management needs to be fired. Please respect yourself and stay anywhere else!

Pay attention to the reviews....
Unfortunately, I did not read all of the reviews carefully or I would have made this booking. They live up to all the negative reviews. Check in was painful. Staff acted like I was inconveniencing them. I got a point and told I was on second floor as if I would know which building was being referred to by the gesture. Going to find the room I walked by a lot of trash/ debris from them trying to paint/ possibly renovate the building I was placed in for my stay. Please do not expect all of the amenities described. I luckily had a fridge, but not the microwave. The room was comfortable enough, and the ac worked. I do not want my towels/ sheets changed daily, but my room was only cleaned once in a 5 night stay. I was not given instruction for check out and the front desk was locked when I left in the morning. I attempted to call the front desk to make sure I did not need to do anything else for check out and was once again inconveniencing them. Will not stay here again.

This place is a disgusting and a disaster. I was given a room that was not cleaned, the door was wide open. I went to the office and showed them pictures of what they assigned me and I was given another room which was a little better but the door barely locks and you can clearly see under it straight outside. I was pissed and I want my money back

Don’t ask for help!!
Dissatisfied and called OYO in Sumter personally to talk to the manager about a refund. I’ve stayed many times at OYO, I love it but the last few days I was there, they put a guy next to me who kept knocking on my door, threatening me and calling my room phone back to back. He then went up front causing a scene trying to get a key to MY room to come in and physically harm me and my friend who was there as well. One of the workers came in my room Friday morning right after I paid for another night and shut the door behind them and continued touching all over me with me saying stop and get out and no and pushing them away. I was asleep and only had on a shirt and he forced himself onto me. I left the property after laying in the same spot in the bed in the room not sure what to do. I also told “Nick” which is who I told everything to and asked to relay the message to whoever the manager is with my phone number to give me a call back. I tried reporting it AT the time and I was being harassed by another guest that y’all already had issues with.. I have a partial video. I am emotionally and physically traumatized and if not handled or refunded, I am suing OYO. Very uncomfortable and very upset.

My expectations and what i got were 2 totally different things. I expected a clean peaceful place ro lay my family's head for a funeral the following day. But what i got seemed to be a living space for locals that was a bit off. From guys jus hanging out n what looked like a lot of females coming and going all night. For only a few hotels in the area i expected more from my family home town.
The bedding had stains, the bathroom was old and stained, the furniture was old and looked unsanitary, to be honest my 13 yr old was scared to stay there. Just know it looks nothing like the images on Expedia or is website!

I checked in and right back out. Rented 2 rooms. 1 room had a broken bed amd no shower curtain. 2nd room had no shower curtain and the door didn't lock. They wont refund me. I wont let my dog stay there. Also there are huge holes in both rooms above the window that leads outside.

My stay was every disappointing I have stayed in this hotel before it really has went down the sheets were nasty and they had bugs and the tub was can't even describe this hotel need a huge overhaul before letting any other guest stay there. The photos are absolutely misleading. The pool has been shut down by order of the health department. Tape holds the chairs together, there was no trashcan in our room, and no water for a shower in our son and workers room. Hotel mgt obviously doesn't care. The full breakfast was black bananas, milk in a pan of melted ice for cereal... Pathetic. Walls are chipping off. Elevator hasn't worked for months. My husband is handicapped and we had to get him to the second floor because there were no rooms on the first floor. Rooms smelled even though we were to have non smoking rooms. Will never stay at an econolodge again.

Non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke. Tub was rusty. Hair in the handles on the sink. Carpet and desk chair had rips in it. No blankets on the bed, just a sheet and sheet like cover. Pool was green and unuseable. Remotes for tv and air conditioner were dirty. Staff was friendly,but overall, the property was VERY rundown. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The first room they gave us was already occupied by people smoking crack. The scary part was when we went to tell the people at the front desk they were not even surprised just angry that no one marked down the room was occupied. The second room they gave us had such a bad smell that it cause me to have an asthma attack. Horrible experience!!

Room was Dirty with Bugs and very run down. Elevator was out of service long term and based on what I heard, it's a long term problem that they don't plan to fix anytime soon.
It appears owners invest nothing here to maintain this hotel even marginally in good order. Heat is reportedly broken in several rooms. In our assigned room, no heat forced us to change rooms twice.
On the good side.. service from the front desk staff and management was friendly and accommodating.

There were work trucks in the parking lot. Men were standing outside my room talking and smoking what smelled like weed. When I got into my room I could hear music blasting from next door. Water was leaking from several places as I walked to my room. The woman who I initially checked in with was rude, but the gentleman who walked in later was nice.

Poor shape
No blanket on the bed, just sheets. Heat did not work properly. Set the thermostat to 80°to try to warm up the room, but it was cool when I woke up even after running the heat on "high" all night. Shower was in rough shape. Pillows were so old and used they were turning a brownish gray color. Towels were dingy. I've e seen worse (sadly) but this was definitely not a great hotel.

It is an ok hotel. The floors could be cleaner (felt very dirty. Refused to take shoes off). For the price the hotel is decent. The elevators were broken. The water fountain in the lobby was broken. The beds were fine,there was no sign of bugs like mentioned in other reviews. It is good for the price.

Got there late, but young lady was very willing to get us in and settled. That's were the good ends. Got to my room, dragging my families bags ready for rest from a 7 hr drive half of it in pouring rain, turn on the lights and roaches everywhere. Before I could sit down a bag I closed the door and went back to have my payment immediately returned. The host apologized and returned my payment, after asking if I wanted another room. My mind was already made up to go.

I have stayed lots of times before and this is the first time I noticed a roach in the rooms. I saw a couple of roaches in the trash can in my room before I checked out that morning.

Poor Quality

It was filthy. I couldn’t even get more toilet paper! Had to go out and buy my own! They even tried to give me a room that had an odor with broken glass that was repaired with clear masking tape! I’m disgusted and would of remained elsewhere if I would not have lost my money!
