Nice place except tv service
Great place but they use Dish for tv service who dropped the contract with Fox. As such I had to walk to a local bar to watch the NFC championship game. Sat at the smoke filled bar next to a drug dealer. Not the experience I hoped for when I booked the place. May be time to switch tv providers.

Property was great, awesome breakfast included, great location, amazing staff, unfortunately we found hair on the bathroom floor and shower drain was clogged (we ended up cleaning).

Sheets not changed between guests. Not returning
Suite was a good size however the cleaning staff does not clean or change the sheets between guests. I am allergic to dogs and when I got into bed I immediately broke out into hives and my face swelled up. I knew a dog had been in the bed and the sheets hadn’t been changed. So my first night there was miserable. The fact that a dog was in the room prior to our arrival was confirmed by the front desk. When I complained the next morning (as it was too late at night) was taken care of sheets changed and part of the room cleaned. Winter was great when checking us in and in rectifying the situation the best she could. It shouldn’t be an issue in the first place. Cleaning a room and changing sheets between guests should be a basic standard.
The breakfast staff with the exception of one grumpy older lady and a girl who barely spoke English were great and welcoming. All the rest were super friendly and accommodating.
Wouldn’t stay here again

Property in need of new mattress, ours was worn and sagging, and the plumbing made loud gurgling noises from the sink waking us up overnight. Also the coffemaker had parts missing and was nonfunctional. The cooking implements are very old and worn and need to be replaced.

Very nice, not perfect.
Most things were very good at this hotel, aside from the shower and sink(s) water slowing down to a complete stop occasionally. It would usually come back on in approx one minute, but its inconvenient when taking a shower, shaving or brushing teeth, and during our 4 day stay, it happened at least 3 or 4 times.

Watch out for hidden fees
Lovely hotel, very good breakfast with a lot of variety and healthy options . The hot tub was nice and the pool, although super cold. My main complaint is that they charged me $125 for pet fee, which is so ridiculous. I travel with my dog all the time have never paid over $ 35. Very dissatisfied.

Great trip
This trip was a getaway to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our time here very much and we booked your hotel primarily because of value as well as having a whirlpool.

It was clean. The staff was great. Any situation that arose was handled quickly, professionally, and with courtesy. The suite was fully equipped as stated. The rooms were sound proof. Full breakfast with great variety

We absolutely loved our suite! Everything was clean and we had plenty of space. What made our time the absolute best were the kind and friendly staff: Sage, Jeremy, and Zach. (Take good care of them as they are wonderful representatives of your hotel!) Seriously, I can’t express how they went out of their way to make our days upbeat and pleasant! Breakfast was awesome all 3 days and we really hated to leave. We look forward to staying there in the future and will highly recommend to all our friends.

Good hotel, nice staff. Room carpet could’ve been a little cleaner, a bit dusty. They cut the water for a few hours for maintenance, but they were courteous in letting us know prior to this issue. Overall a good stay, would recommend.

This is a really good hotel and I would have given it a five star rating overall, except for one important thing. Housekeeping didn’t make up the room and I didn’t find out until I returned after dinner. Also, there was no advance warning that the room would not be made up. Covid is now far behind us, and there can be no excuse for this deficiency.

Could have been perfect
wonderful reception upon checkin. was very happy with the suite. Would have been perfect if the daily housekeeping was reinstituted as it has in many Residence Inn ive stayed at recently. Covid is over and i would really appreciate housekeeping daily.

We have been staying at this hotel for years. We were here for our 45th anniversary. When we checked in they asked if we were here for a special occasion.. they gave us a glass of wine! Little touches… close to the quaint downtown Fernandina .. just our happy place forever! Love the hot tub and the short walk to the beach too!

This property was much more than expected. The room was amazing, the breakfast buffet was better than most any we have ever had. The little snack/shop area was well stocked with many items. All the staff was friendly, helpful and appreciate you being there. It would have been helpful if we could have gotten to card keys but they were short so only 1 per room. It would also be helpful if breakfast times and internet service were posted somewhere in the rooms. These things did not take away for the excellence of our stay. Just some things to note. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The initial impression upon entry was exceptional. We made it to the room, and the room was inviting. Upon further investigating, the room could really use a deep clean. There was hair in the tub. Underneath the toilet seat you could see chemical residue. The bathroommirror was not free of streaks. The room was very dusty and in need of major updating. The bedroom smelled like feet or wet dog. I have been in worse rooms, for sure. But for the price point, I expected more luxury and cleanliness.

Hotel staff was professional and attentive. Everything was clean and well maintained. All exterior doors key carded. Good breakfast options, nice breakfast area. Rooms were large and week appointed. This is the 6th or 7th time my wife and I have stayed here for Shrimpfest, and I can honestly say not one stay has been disappointing. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly, professional and efficient. Looking forward to returning for Shrimpfest next year, and am excited to see the planned renovations that will make this place even better.

This hotel was amazing! I went alone for spring break to get some mommy time while my kids were visiting family for their break and hubby worked. This is the 1st time I can say that all of the reviews I read were absolutely correct.Everything about this hotel was great, from the staff greeting you as you first step through the doors to the room and shuttle bus! The room was clean, quiet and perfect for my little me time get away! If I had to pick one thing, I’d say the dishes in the room could’ve been cleaned better but honestly the rest of the hospitality and stay was so great, it outweighed a few semi clean dishes.The whole island was so friendly it felt as if I was in a movie. I greatly enjoyed myself and have already recommended this place to others. I hope to return here in the future with my family!

What an unbelievable stay.
All staff were amazing. Breakfast always had a rotation of different items such as real bacon.
They also had hard boiled eggs every day.
The free shuttle to anywhere on the island was appreciated to allow us to enjoy beverages at different bars
On one sunny hot day they offered free frozen yogurt in the breakfast area
We have travelled and stayed at many hotels but this location exceeded all our expectations
The location of the residence is perfect as you can walk to the beach very easily
You will not be disappointed when staying at this residence inn

Hospitality at its finest.
The stay was amazing, and we are definitely going to make it our place to stay when we visit Amelia Island. We have stayed at other Hotels, condo and home rentals and this was by far the best stay yet. Breakfast was amazing each and every morning and we really appreciate Sue and Zach for their hospitality. Although I do not recall their names, the ladies at the front desk were always so nice and accommodating. My only issue for the 10 days we stayed there was that the pillows need an upgrading. That's it. Just the pillows. Loved our stay. My wife and I were married on Amelia Island, and we visit on our anniversary. We have always changed our location on where we stay because we like variety. However, next year, we will be going back to this Hotel.

The outside areas were very nice, including the pool, hot tub, and patio area. I do have a couple of concerns about the room. The carpet in hotel rooms need to be shampooed on a regular basis. I am pretty positive that there are nights when the hotel is not fully booked and these nights should be used to clean the carpet. Secondly, if dishes are going to be an amenity of the room make sure they are clean. There were a couple of items that weren’t and that makes people wonder if any of them are truly clean. Having liquid dish detergent would have been nice to have.

Wonderful stay at this hotel
We loved our stay at this hotel and I am glad we booked it for the week.
Reception staff is super friendly and helpful.
The suite was large and comfortable.
Amenities in the hotel are great. A nice big pool, a working spa and gym. We already planning our next stay there.
The only thing I was not happy about is the cleaning of the room especially when you stay a week like we did.
We were told that the room is cleaned every second day but they only came one time in 7 days and we had to call reception to schedule it. They just dont show up and leave you with trash and old used towels.
When you call reception they will fix it but it should be automatically cleaned when you stay more than 2 nights.
Room was clean after they came and when we arrived.

Our favorite hotel for one or two-night stays traveling on 95. Front desk staff consistently warmly welcoming and genuinely friendly. Nutritious breakfast in comfortable set-aside area. Aesthetics pleasing. Rooms very clean and the layout w separate living area and kitchen are all terrific features. Extended nature area w trails directly behind property is a plus. Beach 5 min down road if your schedule allows for that; pool & medium size fitness center on-site.

When arrived was assigned to a room where bathroom was not well cleaned.
Assigned a 2nd room and toilet seat had urine stains on seat and pubic hair, disgusting! Would have left but no rooms available elsewhere. Assigned a 3rd room , was upgraded to a suite which was up to to par.

Very nice hotel. King room was spacious, sleeper sofa worked well for kids. Kids loved pool and nice space for parents to lounge and watch kids play. All staff I interacted with were very pleasant and professional.

Weekend getaway!
From arrival to departure, service was excellent! Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable! Breakfast buffet was outstanding, nice variety of hot and cold items. Staff made sure everything was kept clean and stocked. This hotel being walking distance to the beach is great. The pool area with a hot tub and fireplace is a great spot to also enjoy the outdoors, although it was always pretty busy on the weekend we stayed. The shuttle service to drop us to downtown was convenient, and the staff provided lots of recommendations. There's a nice nature trail that trailheads from the parking lot. We didn't use them, but there are also bikes to rent for a fee.
