Staff was very friendly, however the room was not clean. Hair in the bathtub, which would not drain until we removed the entire drain stop. Food particles were on the floor and in the dresser drawers. Refrigerator did not work and the coffee maker only worked when continuously holding down the button. The outlets near the sink did not hold the plug, which continued to fall out making getting ready quite difficult. Light filters into the room from underneath the door and around the blackout window shades. If you like a dark, quiet room, do not stay here. We could hear everytime the adjorning rooms flushed or showered. The hot tub had a film which accumulated along the surface after turning on the jets, indicating the chemicals had not been checked. Also located in a high crime area, which we realized after booking.

No Car Charging. Bugs.
This hotel is listed as having electric charger and it does not have any on or near the property.
Additionally, spotted something crawling around in our room shortly after checking in. Couldn't wait to get out of this place.

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the area was off of a main highway but it wasn't to loud. The price was great.

The hotel was nice but has started looking run down. There were two safety issues: 1) when you walk into the room on the inside of the door frame was a square block of metal sticking out at face level. Must have served some purpose in the past. 2) The toilet seat was not fastened correctly. When I sat down the whole toilet seat moved and I almost fell into the bathtub.

Party Hotel
This is a party hotel. The people in the room next to me were loudly partying past midnight. The front desk clerk did her best but they wouldn’t quiet down, so she ultimately had to move my room. I could smell pot smoke in my room, coming through the door from that neighbouring room.
I was disappointed because the hotel was otherwise clean and comfortable, especially for the price point.
I want to reiterate that the staff were great. The men in that room were loud, high, and belligerent. She really did her best without causing a serious confrontation.

The front desk staff was not friendly. The floors in the room were sticky. In the morning, they didn't have any sugar for the coffee. The staff just seemed like they were short-handed and unhappy.

This SureStay was really clean, plenty of parking, and overall very good. It's exactly what we needed driving across the country with a dog and all our stuff. Plenty of security cameras (all perfectly placed) and external lights made the property feel safe. The only downgrade is that the hotel is located on the outskirts of Albuquerque. Which means more homeless can be seen around the hotel than other high end hotels located near downtown area. But like I said, we still felt safe and clean staying here.

Surprisingly disappointed with our hotel choice
First the good points - the girl at the counter was very nice and considerate. Now the bad points: one of the beds was slept in (body print on sheets, hair on sheet), the tv was inoperable, the bathroom fan didn't work, the room floor was dirty, but maybe because it's supposed to be okay since there's no carpet in our room, insufficient coffee in common are, the breakfast had both sausage patties and scrambled eggs drowning in water, no plates so ate out of bowls, and the breakfast area was far too small for the number of people there.

Sure Stayed at SureStay
Had a very good stay here. The employees are doing a good job making guests feel welcome and keeping this place up -at some point management needs to invest in some more upkeep.
Room was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was very well-appointed. Front desk -Veronika I think?- was quite welcoming, giving a little bag of snacks to each guest checking in, and phoning after we'd settled in to be sure we were ok with the room. She also accommodated a last-minute ground floor request. (no elevator, only stairs)
A/C was effective and loud but not too loud. Also despite being next to I-25 it wasn't noisy outside, no commotion, and easy to drift off on a comfortable mattress. No disturbances from other guests. From outside some rooms seem to have issues, e.g. window dressing, mattresses propped up, but perhaps these were being worked on and not occupied. Regret we hadn't realized about the pool and hot tub when booking, or we'd have tried them out.
No attractions or amenities in the immediate vicinity, but not especially far from anything. Entrance/exit only from westbound Candelaria because of a median.
Our room door needs a bit more work. Latch is fine, got deadbolt to work but that took some fussing, and the plate in the door needs to be redone.
All in all very good, would recommend.

Hotel was clean. Random people playing badminton in the drive to check in blocking path. Key card only worked for one night of the two night stay. Had to get let in by a guest in order to check with front desk about key not working.

This property looks newly remodeled. Very clean. Check in was very easy and staff very friendly. Breakfast very nice ( eggs, sausage, yogurt, pancakes, muffins). Pillows very uncomfortable. Bring your own pillow . Also no elevator to the second floor.

Should be called "Don't Stay"
A/C dripping onto carpet in hallway; turned into moldy smell; first room checked into wasn't clean, bed unmade; 2nd room floor was buckling/warped in multiple places, bathtub made creaking noise everytime I stepped in; parking lot extremely small dirty and unsafe feeling; junky trailers taking up many spaces parked sideways; hot tub looked cloudy and unusable; bed was spongy foam, not really even a real mattress. Overall really disgusting. Motel6 is usually cleaner & more comfortable.

Bed for 6 hours on road trip
We arrived at midnight and just went straight to bed, it was tricky to locate the room, receptionist didn’t explain where to go, there was no parking space left, was happy to hit the road again after 6 hours. The place looked pretty depressing. Peered into pool, looked gross. Didn’t shower. The towels looked grim. There’s no elevator, lugging hiking gear up stairs after a 11 hour drive was delightful. Next time I’ll pay extra and go elsewhere.

Unhygienic Hot Tub, Suspiciously Painted Hallways,
My recent stay at SureStay was a complete nightmare. The hot tub was unhygienic, with floating spit, indicating a lack of cleanliness. The hallways were hastily covered with fresh paint, hinting at potential underlying issues. Although the staff was somewhat helpful, there was a sense of laziness, reflected in the shortage of towels in the pool area. While there was only one cigarette burn on the table in the room, it prompted questions from my child. Overall, I strongly discourage staying at SureStay due to the unsanitary conditions, questionable maintenance, and lackluster service.

We stayed here for a cross country move with our small daughter and two pets. While this isn’t the nicest hotel we stayed in, it did the job. We did have to wait about 5 -10 minutes to check in (due to no one being at the desk) and we were not able to park at the entrance due to someone’s Tesla charging. We were given our two rooms which were right by the door, which did cause issues due to our pet (who barked every time someone opened the door or kids would bang on our window). However, the room was clean and did it’s job. The pool was freezing, which I didn’t mind but my daughter didn’t like. We didn’t get to do breakfast. There were a ton of families staying in the hotel! However I was disappointed they didn’t have a nice dog relief area. It was right near the trash and it was gravel.

This is definitely a no thrills hotel. The lobby is nicely redone and the girl at the front is a sweetheart. She is clearly overworked though. The pool is pretty nice and the hot tub was decent. Definitely could have been hotter and cleaner. The beds were comfortable and the location is conveniently right off the freeway. Breakfast is served and was also pretty decent. Coffee could have been better though.

I scheduled a room for may7th and then the room updated as I tried to pay and changed to may 17 and they “couldn’t do anything about it” so I hate this hotel

I'll begin with what we did like. The hotel staff was very friendly. They even gave us restaurant and attraction recommendations. But we found a dirty syringe in our hotel room from an adult feeding tube. My husband is in healthcare, so he reported this to the front desk. Also, the housekeeper used her key and walked in on me while I was taking a bath! She didn't even knock first. My husband was in the common area and would have gladly responded to her knock. The area around the hotel doesn't appear safe. The overall condition of the hotel is poor.

Definitely do not have any expectations when choosing this hotel. Staff was not super friendly but not rude. Hotel smelled. We had no hot water in our sink. The sink faucet sprayed everywhere. The brrakfast was less then mediocre. The eggs, sausage and gravy were cold. Biscuits hard as rocks. The orange juice was mostly water. There was no coffee even after i alerted staff to make more. The pool area and pool were very nice and taken care of.

The hotel looks to have remodeled. Which is great however, the hot tub wasnt work but not a dealbreaker. The pool was dirty looking. In our room the blow dryer didnt work and the lock on the door was missing. The door locked but the lock on the inside of the room was missing. The tub was super sqeaky. However, it was clean and everything looked redone.. There is a $150 deposit required at check in. The breakfast in the morning was okay.. It was a full hot breakfast.. The staff was nice and professional..

Not staying again
The hotel was subpar. We felt that there are much better places to stay around. The facility was clean and the breakfast was decent. We felt the area around the hotel was not very safe for a family. There is NO elevator in the hotel which was not fun. The swimming pool closed at 9 pm which was very upsetting to our children, especially since that was when we arrived. It also didn't reopen until 9 am, a few hours before closing. The rooms were very small and even though the floors, furniture, and beds were clean the rooms were in rough shape otherwise. Lots of people were publicly drinking outside of the hotel in the parking lot where our young family had to walk through. It was also super loud due to being near the interstate. As much as I really wanted this place to work and be a great new place for us in Albuquerque, we will not be staying here again.

When checking in I was notified a 150$ deposit , which was twice the price of the actual room . Luckily they only charged 100 after i complained . A few days after the transactions posted they had kept my deposit on my card . Later they told me to leave a cash deposit so the card wouldn’t hold my deposit for several days . I called the hotel multiple times before they answered and rushed me off the phone assuring me to wait up until 10 days for the deposit to post . I’m literally out of a few hundred dollars in deposit fees and no one seems to care !

Bed very comfortable and staff helpful, but the hotel shows its age. There was plenty of space in the room for a table and chairs, but instead there was just a small desk and one chair (for two of us). A decent affordable stopping place if you don't intend to spend much time hanging out in the room.

We had an excellent stay here! The staff were very friendly and the manager was very welcoming. The area around the hotel can be a little sketchy at night but other wise perfectly fine. Definitely a good place to stay for the balloon festival!

The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, but the arrangements might be different: for the room with one bed, there's a writing desk placed at a corner without any table lamp or floor lamp. The breakfast area may need expansion. Overall, it was a very lovely stay.

Coming in from Ruidoso, NM for my daughters pediatric appointment we needed to stay overnight. Front desk agent was outstanding. He got the star otherwise the room itself had no hot water in the sink. The hand towels by the sink were tidy but had hair in them. Throughout the night I was getting bit by whatever was in those sheets. My feet and lower legs were itching all night and I kept thinking this sucks and my daughter whom is 5 months could be getting bit as well. I lost sleep big time and my daughters appt was at 7:45 am. The breakfast selection consist of waffles, cereal, pastries, choice of oatmeal and didn’t have eggs or meat. I cant have dairy products due to my baby being allergic. I told the front desk upon checking out about the bedbugs, towels, and sink and she didn’t seem to care, didn’t even sympathize, didn’t even write anything down to have this matter into a managers hands. Horrible HORRIBLE service and stay

I like that the pool area was not crowded, my kids and I enjoyed swimming alone.
I however did not like that the restroom was way too small, not enough room to get dressed. Come morning time there were no tables for guest to enjoy their breakfast. Had to ask the desk clerk a few times to refill items, and there was no toaster.

Clean Room but Not a Safe Area
The room itself was clean and decent for the price. However, the area the hotel is in is very shady. The screaming in the parking lot at 2:00 a.m. left me waiting for a gunshot to follow next. Didn't happen, but the context lead me to feel that was next. As I left for the airport at 4:00 a.m. the group of people hanging around outside on the curb with the door propped open, still drinking makes you feel very uncomfortable at that time of day. I asked the front desk if they could do something about the people and their response was they had asked them to go back to their rooms, but could do no more.

Pretty Bad Experience
We reserved a room with 2 queen beds. When we got to the hotel they said they did not have that room available and gave us a room with a king bed and pull-out sofa. The hotel was dirty, smelled horrible. We would have gone somewhere else had it not been 2am and we had to be back up at 645. The rooms were very dirty. The fridge barely worked and was from the 60s. The floors were sticky. The toilet ran all night long. The worst part was the sofa bed. It looked like someone had peed on it multiple times. the mattress was dirty and paper thin. Our daughter could not sleep on it. She had to sleep with us. worst experience at a hotel in a very long time. we did not even stick around for the breakfast.

We had a very very bad experience with a motel previous to this. We just checked out of the other hotel and we got to this one. The gentlemen that helped us was so understanding and welcoming. Rooms are so much better and cleaner.

We got to our room in late since we were traveling. A/c wasn't working. Took a shower the water wouldn't go down. The kids were brushing there teeth and the sink water wouldn't go down either. The second night we found roaches in the shower. The manager didn't want to change us room or anything

Every question we asked was met with a "no". After 300 miles I desperately needed to use the bathroom. He stated that it was out of order..."no"... could we have a room on 1st floor? "no"...elevator?..."no"...Card keys didn't work...the only bright spot was the cleaning lady who graciously let us in after examining our paperwork, which reminds me...a very prominent sign at the front desk boldly proclaimed that we were not to expect daily cleaning due to staff shortages...no mention of corresponding discounts. Good thing ours was just an overnight stay. My wife went all the way back to the front lobby to get the keys rescanned and they STILL didn't work. That I made it to the bathroom without having an accident was a miracle. We thought that Best Western was a reliable brand. We'll stick with Wyndham in the future.

Service could be better
I would recommend staying elsewhere. This hotel is right next to a freeway off ramp. There was a roach on the ground in the hall on the night we arrived and it was still in the hall on the day we left (3 days later) so we know they did not clean the hallways. It started to rain and there was a huge leak from the 2nd to the 1st floor. They didn't put a bucket down there at first. When they finally did, the water was brown. My kid accidentally left his shoes in the pool area the night before. When we realized it, there was an hour before the pool was to be open and when I asked if someone could let us in to get them, they said they would when it opened. My kid had to go to breakfast barefoot. I know this is our fault for leaving the shoes in there, but come on. If they had explained why they wouldn't just unlock the door for us, then I would have understood. They didn't and said because we weren't leaving yet that they would open it up in an hour as scheduled. The shower creaks when you are in it. The keycards don't work that well. I was walking by someone else in the hall and he tried both of his keys and he was outside of his room for over 5 minutes trying. The breakfast is fine. I liked that they had mini Belgian waffles. They also had other options. It is family run and I hate to leave poor reviews for family run places but this place was so disappointing. I would definitely stay elsewhere next time I visit.

It was ok , they washer n dryer wasn't working, i was told they had freightliner parking 65 ft truck ... honestly they don't .. i just wish they'd stop having u call a 1-800 its not the hotels fault its hotel.coms fault for the inconvenience of parking ...we had to do a 34 hr reset once ur parked vehicle can't move...
