We had stayed at the seagate many years ago and had not been happy but decided to try again. What a difference. The rooms are comfortable, the staff delightful, the convenience of a jitney and the lovely beach club were great. The dining room was excellent. Lunch at the private beach club was a delicious and relaxing way to spend part of one’s afternoon. The only major complaint was the constant unpleasant odor in our room. It smelled as if something was coming through a ventilation or plumbing system from bathrooms up our line. We kept thinking it would go away but it greeted us and stayed for the vacation.

Service not great, nightly price way too high
I booked this hotel for my parents while my father underwent a surgery, but I needed to change the booking because of the hospital moving things around. The hotel was extremely unaccommodating about the change -- they gave us two options: cancel the room and lose the $380 that I had already paid, or change the date and pay an additional $550. Paying over $900 a night for this hotel is absolutely and totally absurd.
So instead of canceling and losing the payment or switching, I sent my parents to dinner in Delray and had them stay the night at the original $380 rate.
This is not a hotel on the beach, it doesn't have a nice view, it's not even that nice of a hotel -- the rooms are fairly basic Marriott style rooms. It's nothing impressive: basic accommodation. It's fine to pay $300/night for this hotel -- but anything more is a total scam. $380 is really pushing it for this place.
I am very willing to -- and often do -- spend over $500 a night on a room, but I expect a level of hospitality and service at that price point. This place misses the mark and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to overpay for a Marriott-like experience.

I have stayed at a few of the nicest hotels in Delray Beach, and the Seagate is by far my favorite. Beautiful, amazing beach club, comfortable beds, and walkable to everything on Atlantic. There is a bar, restaurant, and bakery with great coffee all in the hotel. This was my 2nd time staying at the Seagate. I visit Delray Beach yearly, and will only stay here now.

Time for an overhaul
Loved the feel of the hotel but we paid for a 2 queen room and got a room with a king bed for 2 parents and 2 kids. The out of date room phone beeped all night and had to be put in hall, they never brought a roll away so kids slept in our bed. Room jacuzzi was broken as was the room fridge. Never apologized. Place needs a full gut.

The rooms are a bit dated. The pool is next to a parking lot and it doesn’t open until 10AM.
However, the food is excellent. The shuttle service is great and the beach club is the o e reason to stay at the Seagate.

The Seagate is a nice hotel < staff members Kevin and Eddie were exceptionaly helpful. The shuttle service was nice. I should not have rented a car because 40 dollars a day valet is a drain. The Hotel is a little dated but in good condition. My biggest complaint was the pricing for breakfast and although the rooms are equiped with flat screens they are not smart TV's which is pretty stupid they need to update that. The area is great and convienent to anything in Delray Beach. 5 star prices for a 4 star hotel summs it up.

This hotel is well located in Delray Beach. It represented a terrific value in late November. It would have been better if the restaurant had been open for breakfast and lunch but there are plenty of nearby options.

Fantastic Hotel. Worth every penny.
We loved our time there. The staff was beyond friendly. It was my 45th birthday and the staff surprised me with truffles and chocolate covered strawberries. It was beyond kind and unexpected. They were also kind enough to upgrade us to their best room as our family are Hotels.com platinum members.

A fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel
A fantastic stay. The hotel exceeded our very high expectations in so many ways, but what stood out all else was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone we dealt with was an absolute pleasure- the front desk, waiters, valets, pool attendants all treated us like long lost friends. We can’t wait to get back.

Very nice property and beach club. Loved the fact they have a shuttle running to and from their private beach club as well as the restaurants on Atlantic Ave. My room was facing Atlantic Avenue and was loud most nights from the traffic. Overall a great experience.

Easy friendly property, we booked it to go to a family event, everything went with the exception of housekeeping knocking on our door to check out with a DND on and later check out, and the valet last guy who misplaced our car key and we got a scare time, thankfully they found it and we left relieved. Restaurant staff and manager were great, the fd agent who checked us in was great too.

Unbelievably deceptive description
We were placed in room 206. This particular room faced the street and I’m not sure if the windows are not sound proof, but the noise is absolutely intolerable. You can’t sleep at all because it sounds like the Indy 500 outside your window. When I bring it up to the manager, he offers to place a ‘note’ in my account for the next time I visit to not be placed in a room on the street side as if I would ever come back to this expensive dated hotel.
The hotel charges a $40/night resort fee, yet it’s far from a resort, it’s not even beachfront, yet the description describes it as such. What exactly is included in the resort fee?! There isn’t even so much as a free cup of coffee at breakfast. Not to mention you have to take a shuttle ride two miles down the road to get to their ‘private beach’
I generally don’t offer my opinion in the form of a review, but a quick weekend getaway was ruined by two sleepless nights that we were overcharged for a mediocre dated hotel.

My favorite hotel from a local.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about the hotel. The price is fair for such a beautiful hotel. It is so clean. The service is incredible everywhere. From the front desk, to the driver, to the people working and serving drinks at the beach club. The pool at the hotel side is gorgeous and the rooms comfortable.

We love Delray Beach.
We love Delray Beach. The Seagate is in the middle of everything but remains exclusive and quaint. Great restaurants and activities super close.
Being on the island side of the intercostal gives you the beach right there and boat access on the other side.

I proposed to my girlfriend at the property and planned to use the whirlpool tub. When we used it they did not work and the front desk only told me that they apologized. I would never have booked this room if I knew this were the case.

I had a wonderful stay at the Seagrate Hotel! The customer service was exceptional - the staff was attentive and went above and beyond. They even offered me an umbrella when it was raining, and it was free of charge! The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and I appreciated the complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste.
The on-site restaurant exceeded my expectations with above-average food quality. The hotel's location was perfect, close to the beach, and surrounded by lots of stores and bars. Overall, my experience at the Seagrate Hotel was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to others looking for a great stay by the beach.

Excellent trip with great friends to a great hotel. Added bonus was a shuttle service to the beach club and local restaurants. Friendly drivers and great service. Pool bar and pool were highlights of our stay as well as on site restaurants. Paulo and Jason at the pool bar were the friendliest people and offered us great service.

I experienced world class hospitality while at the Seagate Hotel in Delray Beach. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. They are stocked with everything that you can think of. The restaurant is very upscale and the bartenders are amazing. This hotel includes a private beach club located just a short drive from the hotel. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the private beach. The shuttle will also take you anywhere in a 3 mile radius.
