The room was small but clean and good beds. This is totally what we expected. Buildings have been cates for. Parking was convenient but there was really nowhere to walk our dog and previous clients are not picking up after their dogs. Good value for the price but we have decided that we are willing to pay more for upgraded rooms.

Get rid of that manager and you'll be ok!!!
2nd building has roaches I went out and got raid roach traps. There were holes in the wall and the door looked as if it had been kicked in like in a raid. I called up to pay for my room and talk to the lady manager about my reservation and she began screaming at me at the top of her lungs, hung up on me twice, threatened to call the cops to put us out for wanting to pay our room and get our dates right. after calling the red roof inn customer service corporate office I was able to stay once i paid which is what i was trying to do. But no apologies and we ended up checking out at the end of our stay.

I have stayed at many motels hotels over many years of traveling. This stay was probably the worst. It was very dirty inside the room and outside the room. It was noisy. Also, I did not feel safe in the neighborhood.

Had stayed here in the past was unaware of such a high deposit for incidentals. I had stayed at this location before as a ready member and was not charged a deposit. At 2 o’clock in the morning people next-door were cursing and being loud with the TV on full blast, went to the front desk to ask if they could change my room. He told me there was nothing he can do but yet there was other rooms and vacancies. I was even willing to take a downgrade in the premium to a standard room.

Great hotel
Quick check-in, clean room, convenient room location. Freeway was a bit noisy, but not bad with the door shut. No breakfast, but for the price, i can't complain. I would definitely stay again.

Just OK
I will say the woman that worked at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We were there only one night with a very early departure the next morning. The blanket on the bed had holes in it and even though the sheets were clean they were starting to grey telling me things need to be replaced. There was a bug on our bed. Which we took care off and there were no others. We choose it because it was very reasonably. Would we stay there again probably not. The bed was very hard. Knowing we would be on the road by 5 we made the best of it. It was clean and we only saw the one bug. Like I said we made the best of it.

Cockroaches and an uncaring staff.
The first thing I experienced was a front desk woman who basically had no costumer service experience at all. She couldn’t care less about anything. Second thing was the cockroaches as soon as I turned the lights on in my room. Several went scurrying as soon as the lights came on. Bed was as hard as a rock. Tried to check out at 3 am to get on the road and had to ring a doorbell several times until someone came to the door 15 minutes later. Overall a pretty bad experience.

Checked into our room after a long day on the road. Our room was infested with cockroaches and the front desk person just smiled and asked if we wanted another room. We left immediately and went down the road to a clean hotel. I would NOT give your money to this hole. Stay clear!

Although the hotel was fine and close to the Interstate exit. The area (Statesville) is less desirable. Visited in 2022 and 2023. Won't be visiting in 2024. Will travel a bit further to another North Carolina town for our overnight stay.

When I go home to Statesville, I almost always choose to stay here (when my parents' home is crowded). Always a clean and safe property. Tub could use some extra strength cleaning and higher toilets would be nice for us taller people.

Road trip from Florida to New England Thanksgiving
The hotel is fine for an overnight stay. It was comfortable, clean and convenient to the Interstate. Our room was on the back of the hotel fronting the Interstate, wherein the transit noise was loud and unrelenting. An assortment of pillows offer both firm and soft. The firm was too firm, the soft was too soft, but all in all not a big deal, but not comfortable either. For the rate and amenities, one can not complain, and apparently that recipe for success works, since the morning departure found a full parking lot of guests.

For the price, a really decent place to stay. Not fancy, but clean with everything you need.Right off the highway. Desk staff was very nice and funny and put me ( as an older woman traveling alone) right near the office.

Excellent stay for a quick overnight trip
This is an excellent stay for a quick overnight trip. The parking lot is well lit, the rooms were clean, front desk service was friendly, fast, and efficient. In spite of being close to I-77, it was relatively quiet. Everything worked.

Low cost with no frills.
low cost hotel with no frills (no frig, micro, in room or breakfast, though coffee is at front counter and micro available at snack room. Great for someone like me who just wanted a room to sleep and shower and the price was right.

Work Stop - Not Leisure or Vacation Stop
Old hotel needing renovation, I think slightly overpriced. It is somewhere I would stay for work (I do interior & exterior residential remodeling), but not somewhere I would take my wife. Did appear to be safe which is an important factor.

I did not stay. I was in the room for 10 mins and there was a huge bug on the wall. I could not deal with it. My anxiety kicked in. The hotel isn’t horrible but I would like my money back. I had to leave and go to another hotel. The guy at check in was very nice.

Samantha was our check in person. She always remembers me and my husband. She had our room heated for us and also went and opened the door for us because she knows my husband was handicapped and knew I needed help. She also helped me locate my parking spot. She is a true working individual and we always look forward to seeing her again.

Bad check in and service
Well. I cant really review a hotel that I didn't stay at. We arrived and had booked on hotels.com. Well we accidently booked for 2 not 3 people. We Informed the hotel of the mistake. He would not accommodate even with a fee or any leeway to allow us into the room. We would have had to purchase a whole second room. All he told us was that we had to contact hotels. Com and when we did they attempted to call the hotel. they would not talk with hotels.com on the phone but instead hung up on them. Poor service and now I am out the money for a room we didn't even stay at. This is probably the worst hotel experience I have ever had

Nice stay
Overall a nice one night stay. Nice clean, comfortable room. A little noise due to highway location but not bad. No restaurants within walking distance. Front desk not always manned but staff friendly. I would stay again if passing through.

The location was good. Right off interstate and near a bunch of restaurants and stuff.
The room was super small. The bed was too firm for our liking. The a/c barely worked. Even running it all night, the room never got below 79 degrees. The bathtub could have used a better cleaning.

Floor/rug was dirty! Lights were flickering. Bathroom fan was very noisy and you could see the dirt! Bed was great, pillows were great. Refrigerator worked well. Good hot shower.

Quiet and well managed.
Very impressed. This is a well managed older property. The room was the most quiet room I have ever experienced. There was a "miss" in the bathroom cleaning but everything else could not have been better.

Repeat stay for me & my retired greyhound. We both find it convenient & more than satisfactory. Mega Talvera enjoys the many available areas for sniffing. & he likes watching the curiously large trailers at the truck stop down the hill. We have never been disturbed by noise however. Seems quiet. We got rest before continuing our journey between FL & PA.

I have stayed here multiple times and it was pleasant to stay again. Room was clean and stocked as needed. Bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. Ac worked good. Shower worked great. Only issue i have is the basic room does not come with a fridge or microwave.
